It’s just the lack of communication for me!! The condescending tones and the run around of when my glasses were going to be done was tiresome! The attitudes and the gossip that took place here was quite uncomfortable. The doctors were awesome but the optical side can use work. The front desk associates can also be taught better customer service skills.

This is an incredible practice conveniently located in the middle of Uptown. Everyone who we have encountered at the office, including in our worst eye care emergencies, has been simply amazing - professional and helpful - often going above and beyond to assist. We have been going to Dr. Moore and Associates for almost 20 years, and we will never go anywhere else.

It was my first visit and I can say it was great! Dr. Steven was so patient and kind, she walked me through all the process and tried to explain every tiny detail with simple language, she was the best eye doctor I’ve ever had!She wanted to do one more exam to be sure everything is fine with my eyes and they didn’t charge me for doing that extra work!!Strongly recommended!!!

The experience here wasn’t good, to say the least. The employees gave inaccurate info, continued to stall when providing my pick up, & was rude as well. Everyday, was something different, that didn’t add to any positive review overall. I do not recommend.

I absolutely adore Dr. Moore however, his female staff members are awful! So rude - including the lady that places orders for contacts. I never leave reviews, but this is the third time I have interacted with these people and they ruin the entire experience. They are dismissive, short and at my last visit, they were complaining about another co-worker while I sat in the waiting room for my appointment. I will never call again and place a contact order because the lady that is supposed to help is so abhorrent. I may have to change eye doctors due to this...as much as I love seeing Dr. Moore. His staff just ruins the experience. DO BETTER.

I will not be visiting this office again. Although, the lady that assisted me with my eye check-up was great. My issue is with the optical area and the no refund/return policy they dont have in place. I placed an order and on the same day I called wanting to cancel the order and request a refund. I was told by the man in the optical area that he couldnt cancel the order nor provide a refund. He stated once he hits submit its done. I have never experienced a merchant force you to take something you no longer want. I also emailed this office inquiring about their return/refund policy. I have yet to get a response back. I sure hope it was well worth the commission for him to lose a patient all together.

Update: Dr. Moore called me personally to apologize for the way I was treated over the phone by reception. I cannot begin to say how much that meant to me. I am updating my review as I am hopeful that my experience was a one time fluke and that going forward the kindness I was shown today is what customers continue to receive!I had a terrible experience with reception over the phone today. I was immediately yelled at for my phone breaking up a bit at the start of the call. To make matters worse could hear cackling laughter in the background on the receptions end and when I said I was hearing a lot of background noise I was met with “well I can hear you just fine.” I got cut off by the receptionist while trying to spell my email several times with her shouting at me. All I was calling for was to get a copy of my prescription sent to me via email. When I brought up that I had an email pending to their inbox I was met with “well our girl who checks the email is out today.” I didn’t realize only one person in an office could reply to emails... I also wasn’t bringing that up to be rude, I just thought she could search the box for my email address to make it easier.I’m finding a new eye doctor. I’m don’t want to risk treated like that for a simple request again.

I had a great experience here recently. The paperwork was simple, my eye doctor, Dr. Spencer Moore, had great bedside manner.

Been seeing Dr Moore for almost 15 years now-Amazing Doctor but today I want to thank Penny.She is an exceptional member of the practice and love that she always keeps me looking sharp with the latest trends. Sometimes I wanna pick willy-nilly but she knows me best! Thank you for helping me with my GUCCI glasses this year. You were right! I’ So happy!!!

My first visit was great. Not offices should be like this. Everyone was very sweet and the woman with the pink glasses who helped me find great ones for me, matched me with frames I was looking for without having to ask me what I was looking for. They just seem like really good people who actually want to help.

Ive been coming here since 2009! U absolutely love how the staff takes their time to make sure I leave Satisfied! The exams are thorough ..the staff is always smiling and helpful especially Kristie and Penny! I love their spirits and patience to be readily available to serve me no matter how long it takes for me to make a decision lol! I always leave happy!

Do not get your glasses here. They will lie to your face. The optical department lady specializes in lying and being a rude person. She doesn’t even know how she can be curtious to people. If I could I would give them a 0 star.If you still decide to go there, please get everything in writing and your medical records too.

Great experience with the doctor.

Doctor was very good, best eye exam in years. However the optical people are not well qualified. They want to push the most expensive frames at you. I just took my prescription and went some place else.

This has by far been the best doctors visit I’ve ever had. The staff was very friendly I had a hard time finding the building and one of the young ladies were kind enough to leave the office to meet me at the intersection of College and 5th st. Once I arrived I was seen immediately. Dr. Moore was very nice and he provided me with a very thorough eye exam. If you are looking for a new eye doctor go check them out they are the best.

If I could give them no star, I would! They are in uptown- right in the heart of the busy place and they don’t have any regard for people’s time! Been an hour and fifteen minutes and doctor hasn’t come and seen me! I went out and told the front desk staff when they followed up and told me that they had messed up earlier appointments, atleast tell the person when he/she is walking in that there will be delay! Doctor is nice and professional - I have been coming here since many years but this was worst in terms of waiting time!

Dr. Moore always takes lots of time with each patient. I never feel rushed during my checkups with him. He goes over the pictures and analysis in details that are easy for me to understand. My most recent visit was to determine what was causing a floater and blurred vision in my right eye. The photos of my eye showed a change from my check up of 6 months prior. To get additional clarification he referred me to a retina specialist. His admitting that he was not sure of the cotton in my eye gave me greater confidence in him. I admire people who are not afraid to admit they dont know something and seek additional assistance for clarification. If you want the best for your eye care, I highly recommend you choose Dr. Steven Moore.

One of the most thorough and helpful eye examinations Ive ever had. Dr. Beaver was incredibly knowledgeable and explained things very well. She listened to what I needed and worked with me to help me make the best decisions for my eye care. So glad I came into this office. I would definitely recommend.

The personnel is very friendly. I go there once a year for my eye exam and they are very thorough and clear when explaining the results. The wait time is less thank 10 minutes and the options for glasses is extensive. One stop shop for my eye needs! See you next year Dr. Beaver! You are the best!

I did not receive a Tory Burch case with my Tory Burch glasses. I called and left two messages and the Optical Department did not return my call. I called the front desk and asked for the Office Manager and was told she could not speak with me but I could speak to the Doctor who was Dr. Steven Moores daughter. I was told since I left my glasses for close to a year they gave my case to my glasses away.My glasses were totally paid for case and all. I contacted Tory Burch and the BBB to complain which I believe is my right as a customer.Dr. Moores office response was THAT I WAS OVER THE TOP ABOUT A SITUATION I CAUSED MYSELF. They stated I left without paying my $10.00 co-pay and I did not get my eyes read after dilation. In short I was just a disgruntle patient.I called back and apologized to the front desk and I told them I would be back to pay the $10.00 I owed when they get my case in. They owe me more then I owe them. I’ve been a patient for several years never owed anything. I was having a rough day working 12 hour days for 7 days straight. Dealing with the grief of loosing my father in May and my son in September after a motorcycle accident.So again I apologize. The Optical person was rude and condescending and I will not return since so little was thought of me.

I have gone for several appointments at Dr. Steven Moores offices and I have nothing but positive comments for this office. The front desk staff are very courteous. Jason really explains the procedures in full detail and with patience. Dr. Moore and Dr. Beaver are truly the best.I already have my next appointment scheduled for 2017.

I enjoy getting my annual eye exam at Dr. Steven C. Moore & Associates. It starts with ease of making an appointment and convenient hours, friendly staff, great technician and Dr Sara Beavers thourough exam. The journey completes with the optical staff who have been great making sure I get fitted with the best eyeglasses just right for me. For folks who work Uptown, I strongly recommend giving Dr Steven C. Moore & Associates a try.

Crappy experience. Been going there for over ten years. Went for my eye exam today and they over booked me. Said I was supposed to call to confirm. Acted like it was my fault!! Will not go back.!! Will not recommend they must have too many patients to care.A few points on response below1. No where in the messages that I received from your office did it say that if I didnt call back that you would cancel my appointment2. I have been going to your office for over ten years so you can guess that Im not a transient patient and since I had never missed an appointment before that I should have been able to keep my original appointment. If I had missed an appointment then I would understand3. Since I hadnt been notified of this new policy then my appointment should not have been given to someone else. This new policy was not communicated to me in a letter, email or voice mail4. I have never heard of a Dr office cancelling a faithful patients appointment that had never missed an appointment before

I am relatively new to the area and knew that my prescription was out of date. I did the most likely thing and went online and read the reviews. I liked what I saw in the online reviews and was not disappointed. The experience was great from the first phone call all the way through to them loaning me a pair of cheaters to use until my new glasses come in next week. Dr. Sara Beaver was knowledgeable and very informative. I will recommend them to anyone who asks me about eye care!

Ive been going to this office for a long time. It started with glasses and contacts. Appointments were/are always easy and enjoyable. More recently, Ive seen the docs for my pre and post LASIK appointments--and that prompted this review. As nervous as I was about everything, they made me feel very comfortable leading up to the procedure. I think that was mostly due to the comfort that Dr. Moores experience provides. Long story short: vision is perfect, the experience was great and I owe this office all of the credit.

The experience that I had at Dr. Moores office was great, they listen to you and they care. The problem I had was fixed and there will be a follow-up. The Doctor was careing and concerned about my eyes. The suggestions that were given to me helped to correct the problem, so I would highly recommended this Doctors office if you have eye issues.

I concur with Steven Williams. My exam was great! The assistant, and doctor were pleasant. I have an issue with credibility of the sales agents when completing a purchase. I purchased a pair of Chanel eyeglasses and wanted a new pair. I was advised by Maria that they will come from Italy. The pair never was ordered. They sent the original glasses off to be filled. When it was addressed, Maria stated she will order again. One business day goes by and my frames are in. The shipment came from another store which defeats the purpose of NEW! If I werent lied to originally, I wouldnt have an issue trusting this group. My expectations would have been set and I just would have went somewhere else. I spoke with Debbie the owner, and was taken back on how defensive she was. For her not witnessing the conversation, she knew alot about what Maria didnt say. Ultimately my overall experience was terrible, and I will not do business with this company again. Please take these reviews into consideration when making a purchase. It was a learning experience, and I hope this helps someone in the future.

This was my first time ever getting contacts. Dr. Beaver and her staff were phenomenal and really put me at ease. Ill never go anywhere else!

Ive been a patient here for 5 years and my experience in 2017 with the newer office staff has been horrible. They booked my appt on a day there were closed and then overbooked me on the rescheduled appointment. I ordered contacts and my order was incorrect and had to be reordered. I live and work over 30 mins away and my work schedule doesnt permit me to keep driving uptown and they refused to mail my contacts to me without charging me a $17 fee. I tried to explain my situation to the front desk and she said I dont know what to tell you. For an error that was on their part and not mine. I love Dr Beaver but I definitely wont be returning back or recommending anyone else as I have always done in the past.

My wife went in for an annual check up and left with an eye infection. The fact that she got an eye infection there is bad enough. But it gets worse. She returned the next day with a swollen, throbbing eye. Their only concern was deflecting blame, not helping to fix the issue. They suggested she spend More money on an eye ointment that may or may not fix the problem. They suggested hot compresses which she did for 2 days. This did nothing but make it hurt worse. I got involved, trying to help my wife. . For my effort I was put on two lengthy holds and hung up on both times. I finally spoke to the Dr. who did her best to make me feel like I was the problem. End result: $100 spent, a swollen, painful eye, and an absolute lack of compassion for a problem they created. BEWARE!

First exam seemed to go well except that they did not get my prescription correct. I have returned my glasses 3 times and every time it gets worse. They tell me I am stuck with the glasses and I am out $400. My advice is to avoid this place like the plague.
