Awesome selection of silver and gold at all prices and sizes. Have been buying here over the years!! Also a great selection of firearms if you are a NC resident. They are always busy. So it helps to come in with a plan in mind to buy when your turn comes around!! Great shop in Charlotte!!!!

Hyatt was very fair in their price for buying silver nickels. They were substantially higher than other coin shops in the area.

I have been looking for a quality gun safe for several years. I found the good stuff at Hyatts. They have great, well manufactured safes at reasonable prices. No big box store junk in this store. My wife even noticed the quality difference and encouraged me to purchase one. The delivery was extra, but it was soooooooo worth the money. They delivered it to my house and were done in less than an hour. Placed it exactly where I specified. They went through the unboxing, installation, and took the time to show me everything about the safe. Now I have something that will secure my valuables and it will outlast me and my grand children.

We brought in a coin collection inherited from family just to see what we had and what kind of general value it has. They were fantastic to work with. Very cordial, knowledgeable and most importantly for me (not a coin expert) open to a lot of questions. They were open on which things about their appraisal they were 100% sure of and where there was ambiguity and took the time to explain why. We enjoyed the visit, learned a lot and would certainly go back.

Excellent service cant say enough about them. I had some coins and they helped me determine what I had, its worth, etc. Super nice folks too. Highly recommend. I will probably used the gun shop side when I need something, based on the service I got from the coin shop.

I sometimes come here to check out the coins. In general, the coins are very overpriced and there is not a good selection. When selling your coins you also tend to get offered very low amounts that are laughable. They also do not haggle with you. I think 2.5 out of 5 would be a better grade.

I wanted a unique gift for my dad and I know he collects wheat pennies. BUT thats literally all I know about the collection haha I called this place ahead of time just asking questions about the possibility of coins I could find. Adam did research before I even got to the store and told me he would help me find the perfect gift. When I got to the store they were busy, but he remembered talking to me and made sure to take the time and show me what he found. When I picked out the one I wanted he explained everything about coin and made sure I could remember it to explain it to my dad. My dad absolutely loved the gift and I will definitely go back for anything else!

I went there to find a key coin that I needed to complete a collection that we are working on, for selling in New York to a friend. Ive had difficulty finding it since it is a Barb dime, especially at a reasonable price where we would get a decent return on the set. I had checked other coin shops in the area, but I could not find one, and at a decent grade and at a price that would justify the cost to complete to set to sell. I went to this location and inquired about what they had, it took the man behine the counter a few minutes but they were able to locate me just what I needed. It was great not having to go to an online auction, to find the coin. I will be returning to this coin dealer soon, when I need to buy. Southeastern collectors.

I visited them while in Charlotte and was impressed with the knowledge they had . I have been both a numismatist and gun enthusiast a few years now and was looking for very specific rare coins which they knew exactly how hard were to come by. Needless to say i will be returning as a customer in hopes to make a lasting relationship with all employees there.

I need to liquidate coins, for our charities, that we operate in many places overseas. I went to this location not knowing what to expect, I was very nervous, once inside, I was greeted by many individuals. What impressed me were they were smiling. In engaging with me and other customers. I must be honest, his location is now in a fair part of town, but at one time it was not. So I was not sure what would be the atmosphere.What I found there was very surprising and refreshing. I show my coin collection, that have brought to sell, I had figured on a price based on bluebook, instead I received a price about 25% above bluebook. I will return to this shop often in the future when I need to do business. AAA ++

I found this facility to be very impressive.First I called in the telephone was answered by a professional gentleman named Mr. Hyatt, who was a professional ANA dealer. He explained to me the process of buying and selling the coins. Never once did he talked negative about any competitor, nor did he pressure me any form or fashion. Instead he educated me on my collection and the ability to liquidate. In some cases he advised me to hold until the market was even better. Even thought he could have made much better money by having me sell to him, he was honest up front and explain the market and where it was headed at this time.I went to his facility with 20 coins from my collection, I ended up selling one at a very good profit, out of courtesy, he showed me the value of all my coins, he explained the profit margins that had to be maintained in the coin business, he made a offer, which I felt was more than fair, better than the other two coin shops I had visited. And then he also advised me as to the collectibility and the investment growth potential of my collection again.He showed me how he used up to three sources, including one other major coins dealer in the United States, along with the grading guides and the current average market, to come to value of his coins. While I was there, I was also able to meet and talk to many of his employees. Some of these employees were sorting coins, while others were posting coins for sell on the Internet, I was there proximally one hours, because I was looking at other coins, since Im a collector Im always interested in the art form. While there I observed him and his staff, and realized it took up to 45 minutes just for them to list one coin for sale on the Internet. I had never realized the margins were that tight. For he paid me 10% below market value, and that was at the top of the market. So he must really have to move volume to make a profit.Overall I would give them the following scores:Honesty with the customer in information provided: 10 out of 10.Thoroughly explaining the process beforehand, without the use of intimidation or underhanded sales techniques, always explaining, and patiently answering questions. 10 out of 10.Paying cash for coins, not requiring the customer to take a check to a bank and waste more of the customers valuable time, at all times maintaining professionalism when handing the cash over to the customer. 10 out of 10.Overall I could not have asked for a better experience, Mr. Hyatt even told me about the coin club that was nonprofit operating in Charlotte, and the educational opportunities that I could take part of.It was refreshing to see a third-generation family business, still maintaining a high ethical standards in the Charlotte Metro area. I will continue to use him in the future, and I encourage all to do the same.

I called Hyatt Gun & Coin at Noon to get a price on buying a couple of American gold coins, drove all the way to their store to have them raise the price over $50 per coin. The spot price of gold had fallen $3 per ounce in the meantime yet they wouldnt honor the price they gave me. Poor business practices and extremely disappointing they way they did not value my time. Never again will I make that same mistake

This is the only place I use for coin help to to send my coins out for grading. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Been using them for years.
