Amazing coffee and bakery items here!! This has become my side and I’s favorite coffee shop now. This location is huge with outdoor and indoor seating. It two stories so there’s seating upstairs along with a bar. They have their own parking so that does help. Great location and great customer service. My favorite coffee is the iced mocha latte.

I’m blown away by how tasty The Giddy Goat is! Love their iced coffee, hot coffee, and espresso. They also have a great breakfast menu that includes empanadas, burritos, and so much more. Highly recommend visiting The Giddy Goat - I’ll be here every weekend!

This place is great. I have been here 3 times now and the coffee has always been hot and fresh. I know they are famous for their empanadas but I have not ventured to try those yet. I have had the blueberry muffin 3 times now so I can attest that they have a great blueberry muffin. We met 1 of the owners and his dog last time we were here. Nicest guy and awesome dog that will allow all the pets. This is a really great operation. As a larger man I love the seating. Having a bigger posterior doesnt always fit into the hipster chairs you find at co working spaces and coffee shops you find around this area. The seating here is very comfortable for all types of posteriors. Everyone should come here. I work from home and if I ever need a place to come work. Ill definitely be coming here.

This place is truly remarkable and much more than a coffee shop. It is a welcoming place that feels like a second home. The staff, baristas and ownership truly care about their customers and make people feel special. The food and coffee is delicious and I could eat the empanadas for every meal. I am there several times a week and many staff members have become good friends. Through challenging times in the pandemic the team at Giddy Goat has created a culture that is positive, caring and just energizing to be around. Many times I take a walk over just to say hello and feel a sense of community. I am truly grateful the neighborhood and city has a place like this...

Great coffee, roasted right here! You even have roast choices for cold brew. Great set up inside and outside, ample space and perfectly accomodating for work on your devices. Very nice ambiance! The staff is wonderful and the food is delicious. All made in house! My personal favorite is the chicken empanada.

Giddy goat is my favorite coffee shop in Plaza Midwood. Great atmosphere, cool people, and friendly environment. Love their coffee and one day I will get up there early enough to try their breakfast. They told me I had to come in before 10 because they only make so many orders of their breakfast and they sell out quickly.

Update to my original review...losing a couple stars. Giddy Goat seems to have lost a step...Ive come here a couple times recently and it has been too crowded and the coffee and pastries have lost their luster for me.Most recently I came with my mother for an early coffee and she was accosted by a cockroach running out from behind the fiddle fig(see pictures). Also having the dog roam about, even if it is a service dog, is a bit confusing for other dog owners, as I have seen several people walk in with dogs only to be told they arent allowed, while a golden retriever roams about off leash and laying wherever it pleases.Also, dont order the chocolate chip muffins unless you want all your chocolate chips sitting at the bottom(see pictures)...**Had a great ice latte here, one of the best Ive had in Charlotte so far! Just the right amount of bitterness, blended perfectly with the creamy milk. Really cool space with a plethora seating options, inside, outside or upstairs.If you keep coming back, they have an app where you can build up rewards points as well. Ill definitely be back!

Although I had a good cappuccino here, the second time I went they gave me a cortado that was horrible. The espresso was under extracted and so sour that I just left it. Not a very consistent place unfortunately.

The BEST coffee shop, hands down. The staff is incredible, the coffee is great, the environment is perfect for work or meeting up with friends, and the burrito might just change your life (but you can only get it Friday-Sunday…). You will love this place.

Lovely little coffee shop in the city. The coffee and scones are wonderful, you must stop by if you’re in the area! The views are amazing this time of year as the shop is all opened up and you can sit to enjoy the sights and food.

As an Argentinian, I can say that the empanadas are the best!Of course, I had to order what we call “medialunas con dulce de leche” (pastries) omg, if you have not yet tried the dulce de leche, this is the best in Charlotte.The place is amazing, with a lot of different options that you can choose from sitting outside, rooftop, or inside. I love the distance between tables.The great environment relaxes you. Giddy goat is the best coffee shop ever! coffee is amazing but what really keeps me coming back is the food. the empanadas and burritos are amazing but the baked goods are the best part of all!!! the muffins, scones, bites, and different breads are all incredible and baked to perfection. so delicious and lots of dairy free / vegan options which we love to see!

We visit the location at least once a week. The coffee quality is one of the best in Charlotte. My kids love the muffins and empanadas. We make it a family stop on the weekends. I dont think I even need to say it - every time Im here during the weekend, its so packed that its sometimes tough to get to the counter. Awesome staff who work efficiently and treat people well, and the coffee and treats are great. The space is relaxed and intuitive.

It’s awesome to see a coffee shop opened up by someone who was born and raised here in Charlotte. The staff was very friendly and helpful-it was almost like having coffee at a friends house, the way they took the time telling me where it comes from and what they do to make it the right way. The food and coffee alone are enough to come back for, but the customer service is what makes it a true Third Place

Unique in its presentation of standard USA coffee and Bar. Great coffee, I mean great, vegetarian and vegan offers with their signature empanadas. Plenty of range. May not be the place to go for full meal. To catch up with friends, make friends, enjoy quality coffee and light food, this is the place to go.

First experience right after they opened was just fine, with a super disorganized line and the staff actively avoiding eye contact so they didn’t have to answer questions. Coffee was pretty good but sort of an awkward experience.Second time going today, the line was better managed but staff still sort of avoided helping. We got iced coffees and there was no milk available. We waited to ask for some, and they actively avoided helping us or the numerous other people waiting for assistance.Seems super busy so they’re doing fine without my business, but it’s pretty basic stuff for a coffee shop to give you milk to put in your coffee. Seems likemanagement needs to pull it together.

The atmosphere at Giddy Goat is great. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, the food and drink options are plentiful, and the seating options include indoor, outdoor, tables, comfy chairs and lots of outlets. The food options I saw seemed to be healthy, and I sat upstairs where it was quiet. It seems to be dog friendly inside and outside, as a gorgeous golden retriever came and made friends with several customers

This place continues to get increasingly popular and deservedly so. Amazing coffee, great space, awesome owners/staff. And in my experience, this is the only coffeeshop in Charlotte which combines fantastic coffee with great baked goods/snacks, all of which are house-made. Try the small chocolate or lemon energy balls - they are amazing. They recently started croissants too which are also very tasty and fresh.All in all, a true gem.

Wow! I see why this place has 5 stars. Great coffee, excellent burritos, great service/staff, and to top it off a vibe/environment that can’t be beat. Bring your family or friends to hang out….show up solo to get some work done, it doesn’t matter you will feel right at home. Look forward to my next visit to Giddy!

We’re so happy to have a neighborhood coffee shop within walking distance of our apartment. the atmosphere is really laid back and the coffee and food are delicious. these guys know what they’re doing.get the goat burrito and their house drip, you won’t be disappointed. bring your dogs to their off leash dog area in the back and enjoy great atmosphere and friendly service.

Ive been twice on a Saturday. It got very busy after 8:30am.Great atmosphere and great service. Seating inside and outside.I had an Americano on the first visit and a Red Eye (coffee with 2 shots of expresso) on the second. Both were excellent. I like strong coffee that is smooth and not bitter.I tried the veggie burrito and vegan cinnamon cake (warmed up) and both were very tasty and would gladly order either of them again.

Solid offerings with some room to improve on service.I was skeptical of the breakfast burrito after hearing so much fanfare, but it was legit. Distributed seasoning and the right textures are pretty tough to nail, and they crushed it. The lemon blueberry scone was different in a wonderful way as the blueberry created a jammy middle layer. Didnt taste it, but we appreciated the vegan empanada option for my egg-free kiddo.Theres only a small knock for service (right now) due to the hectic morning if our visit. Felt like the staff were a bit overworked and had some communication breakdowns. Things we wanted heated or didnt care about were swapped. One item we ordered didnt come out at all until we reminded them. Overall not a big deal, but it was so busy (great to see) that we felt bad trying to sort out our order.

My husband and I went to the Giddy Goat for the first time this morning and had such a great experience. The owner was extremely personable, made delicious a coffee, and even checked to make sure it tasted how I wanted it. He mentioned they have a lounge upstairs that will be serving wine, we will definitely be checking that out. 100% would recommend stopping here for a coffee in Plaza. The environment is relaxed and I would imagine would be a nice place to work from. We will absolutely be coming back!

Great latte and the empanadas are fantastic. The sweet corn, breakfast, and patagonia empanadas were all delicious. The chimichurri was incredibly flavorful. Definitely look this place up if youre in the area.

I visit Charlotte once a year to see my mom. Today, I had to kill time for about an hour close to the hospital. Im so glad I found this cute place. I love the space, their breakfast empanadas, and the company- a lovely four legged friend came to keep me company for an hour.

Really neat local coffee spot. The coffee and food/snack options are all very good. They roast their beans in the shop, and to that end, the staff are particularly knowledgeable in what they’re selling, from raw bean to cup. The Giddy Goat has a very endearing neighborhood coffee shop feel, while at the same time offering plenty of unique features you don’t usually see in a lot of other local coffee shops (or in many of the chains, for that matter). It’s a great place to work into a morning coffee routine. Will definitely be back again.

This coffee shop has incredible customer service and was so accomodating on my last visit. Our street was out of power for a few days and the owner went out of his way to make sure I had a good experience. 10/10!! And great coffee too 😍

Highly recommend it. Cozy atmosphere. I am a coffee lover and their coffee is the best I have ever tried so far. Really good quality and taste. They roast coffee beans inside the shop so you can smell the coffee all over the shop. Customer service is amazing. Carson is one of the owners and he is an awesome guy. His service dog is really friendly, too. Tip: get early to try their burritos. I went in the morning and I had the chance to try them but they go out really fast. They even make them the same morning they sell them. My favorite is the Shaka! They have not even opened yet and they are killing it. Good job.

The Giddy Goat houses so many different delicious artisan coffees with a calming and modern vibe. What sets this place over the top is the willingness of staff to take the time and explain the different types of coffee that they have. For someone who doesn’t really deviate from the usual, I felt like this was really nice and it also helped me develop a new respect for coffee! This just goes to show how passionate the owners are about creating not only someone’s new favorite spot but an exciting experience!

Spacious modern spot without overdoing the modern design so it fits right into this neighborhood serrounded by the likes of Snug Harbor and Thanos street tavern... basically a neighborhood with a character. Incredible coffee quality. UPDATE: Delicious VEGAN empanadas on the menu!!

After several visits I treated myself to The Goat burrito last weekend and it was delicious. Big enough for two people with just the right spiciness.The atmosphere and vibe of Giddy Goat keeps me coming for extra hot mocha lattes.

The breakfast burritos are bangin. Only negative is having to walk upstairs for beers if you come for an event. Very friendly staff.

Who knew you could put that many blueberries in a muffin? Yum. The pumpkin spice latte was also a showstopper.

I visited this place after a long day of work. I got a vanilla latte with oatmilk, which was very good. I also asked the guy who took my order to pick me out an empanada, and he gave the Mediterranean one. It was so so good. The guy who took my order was very nice, and the girl who made the empanadas and I chatted a little bit and she is so so sweet! I will definitely be back & will be there more frequently when I’m back at college. :)

Dropped in to pick up a gift card for someone and decided to get a latte. it was strong (I mean that in a positive way) and tho am working on reducing my caffeine intake, I can see myself heading back. I took my cup to go, but noticed there was plenty of seating & I also appreciated the vibe (theres a huge is it coffee grinder at the entrance). Enzo, the barista who made my latte has an affable demeanour.

This is the best coffee I’ve tried in Charlotte! I go 2-3 times a week. I get an iced coffee or iced latte with oat milk, and they’re both fantastic. Not sure why Google says it’s closed because they’re definitely open 7 days a week.Sometimes they have a walk up window which was a great Covid safe option and convenient if you are walking your dog or in a rush. Seems like they stopped once the weather got bad, hopefully they open that option again.10/10 recommend!
