I came here with a friend on a Friday we both took off for some afternoon drinks and snacks.We were luckily able to get parking right outside and have almost no walk. We sat at some of the couches and were helped almost immediately by the waiter behind the bar. We got a bottle of wine and the sweet meats board. Both were fantastic. The meat had ham and duck as well as some great spreads to add to the bread. For $12 it was a great deal and very large. The wine list was also very big with glass and bottle options.There were a decent amount of fruit flies that were flying around us (which is why I put 4 stars) but overall this place was great and Id recommend a visit

A nice wine and coffee bar that also shows sport events (baseball when i was there) on television. Staff is very friendly and the sandwiches are also tasty. The Restaurant offers a broad selsction of drinks, such as wine, beer, ale, etc.

Amazing experience. Friday nights they have live music and wine flights for as little as $12. Charcuterie boards are delicious, and their prices are fair for what they offer. The staff was extremely nice and attentive; everything was on time and not once did I need to track a server down or anything like that. Highly recommended for a date night with your significant other or even a party with some friends.

I hosted a semi private meeting there for some of my clients and the staff was very attentive. They help me to pick out a affordable wine choice that would fit most peoples pallet. And tasty tapas options. The venue is stylish and modern. I ended up spending understand budget for the outing. Parking is also accessible in this area. Great week night spot to hangout at with a friend,collegue or date.

Very welcoming and modern vibes! Great menu selection, the truffles are my favorite! Elise was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested the perfect wine to compliment everyone in our groups requests. Service was excellent!

I visited Corkscrew after the Holiday Tour and was very impressed. It was very busy and the staff handled it wonderfully. Serena was very polite and gave us great service. The Expresso martini is my wifes favorite cocktail now and I loved the truffles. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place! Walked in in casual clothes and didn’t feel out of place. The server went above and beyond to help us find a wine we loved. The selection was great, and the truffles were delicious. We’ll definitely be back here soon, and I’d recommend this to anyone who likes wine! (They serve food and coffee too, but we didn’t have any.)

The best-value wine bar in Charlotte! Theres no comparing this establishment to others if you consider the quantity and quality of food, particularly the cheese and charcuterie plates. I love Thursday evenings because they bring in a knowledgeable sommelier who serves a flight of 4 wines for $10 and if you buy any of the featured bottles, its discounted by $10 so the tasting is free! Staff are great and the manager, Elise, is particularly nice.

Stopped in tonight for a quick bite and a drink and ended up staying thanks to the amazing service provided by Elise and Serena. They accommodated our request to put a football game on and made a cocktail for me based on my requests. Will be back for sure. Thanks again ladies!

The Corkscrew on 5th Wine & Coffee Bar was terrific! Great scenery, and their wine options were extensive. Would definitely recommend!I attended on the night the Rumor Mill Duo played. They did an amazing job and made the experience that much more memorable. I look forward to going back in the near future.

This place was fabulous in every way. From the service, wine selection, food variety and coffee. Great spot for date night, girls night, or to hang out at bar with the staff. Atmosphere is chill and spacious, the live band is a plus. If youre looking for a new place to try wine or coffee this is the spot. You wont be disappointed.

Corkscrew has a vast list of wines. Their tapas (small meals) are great for sharing. I will say the best part of the evening were the almonds they serve as an appetizer. The almonds are THE bestI have ever had! It is hard not to eat too many but, believe me, your stomach will be very happy! This is a nice quaint place to sit,r relax, have a drink, and enjoy the company of family and friends.

Stopped in on a Friday night with some of the girls from work. My initial impression: Warm and inviting vibe with a wall full of wine bottles (score!). Ordered a few glasses and some food. Their charcuterie plate was amazing and my wine was just as good (after the bartender asked what I liked in a wine, I ended up taking his suggestion).A couple minutes later their live musician - a keyboard player - started to play. Padraic R Smith was really the optimal ambience at this establishment (This was the first time I saw him). He is an unbelievable piano player. I havent heard anyone in town playing this instrument, at that level.Everybody had a great time!

July 20th was first time at the Corkscrew and I truly enjoyed it. The owners were very welcoming and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The DJ had a great selection of music and it appealed to the customers. Also met some great people there and the food and drinks were good as well. Definitely going back.

This place is awesome! The kitchen made me a pizza 2 min before closing and then we got to meet the cook. Drinks and food come out fast with good customer service. What a gem.

Great place to stop for a bite and a beer. Asked the chef to select meat and cheeses for a plate, all delicious and went well with my beer. Highly recommended the salmon small plate, my weekly stop in snack. Very knowledgeable bartender, very willing to make suggestions.

I always love going to Corkscrew! Its right down the block from where I live. They have a great snacking menu, flatbreads, cheeseplates, pimento cheese dips, sandwiches, and lots more! They have a huge variety of different wines and beers! They now also have liquor, which I believe is a new addition! Its always a fun atmosphere making it ideal for a date night or girls night! Ed is a great bartender and is always very attentive to his guests!

Atmosphere is great and staff is very knowledgeable about the beverage choices. DJ was spinning, keeping a nice upbeat mood.

Great quiet relaxing place to share a bottle of wine with someone special.

We called early to reserve space for a group. We walked in ten minutes early. There was no one to be found then a lady finally appareared from the back(really wish she was wearing a name tag). She berated us about being early then continued to put away silverware and clean the bar. Please note the establishment had been open for hours and we were the only patrons in sight. We were eventually served the wine and it definitely wasn’t worth the wait. If you are looking for a relaxing place with a warm atmosphere go down a couple more blocks! There are PLENTY of other places in Charlotte with lots of character and great service!

Cozy little place right under the Vue. There are never a lot of people here and they always show the football game on their big screen. Their appetizer specials are great (try the hummus).

Great atmosphere for a date night or get together with a few friends

Given the options in and around town, Corkscrew needs to step up its game! The coffee/lattes are mediocre at best. The atmosphere is kinda bland given youre at the base of the tallest condo building in the SouthEast!

First time here on a Friday night date and it was perfection! They had a live 2-man band that was so on point they literally had people dancing!Service was incredible and shout out to our waitress/bartender who was just amazing (I feel terrible I cant remember her name!). The kitchen had closed at 10pm, but she still was able to finagle a Sweets and Meats Charcuterie board. We paired this with the previous nights featured wine flight featuring California wines: Chardonnay, Sauv Blanc, Rose, and Cab Sauv and it was divine!The wine flight was also perfection! Nice showcase of Cali wine styles, which made it really fun to intro my date to for his very first wine-tasting experience.It was just a spectacular introduction to this place and I cant wait to go back!

Showed up early to a wine tasting for out bachelorette party and got a lot of mumbling and back talk about it. Our bride to be tried to use her FEDERALLY ISSUED military ID to prove she was of age and lady who worked there REFUSED and proceeded to be rude about explaining why she couldnt use her military ID and saying it was illegal (which is stupid bc I and my friend have both never had problems anywhere else). The way she explained it and snapped at her was unnecessarily rude. Unfortunately did not get her name. Ruined our whole experience there and if we lived in Charlotte we would definitely never go back.
