Repaired the Oil pressure gauge and updated all the lights in my Cluster.. FastCurtious service And did the repair for half of what the dealership wanted!

Dealt with Downtown several times in last few years on various radios and speedometer clusters. Always call and give an estimate ahead of time so you know exactly where you stand before the complete necessary repairs. Never once have I had to return anything once it was fixed the first time. They certainly will let you know about how long you need to leave your device to be repaired so expect to wait a day or two because the better repairmen in this field of work are in demand with technology changing all the time. I called and asked about a repair for a 24 year old radio in my Ford F150 because I wanted to keep the truck stock. Doug took the time to explain to me that it is likely not in my best best interest to repair the radio or purchase a used radio as a replacement because of the problems that were associated with the radios during those model years. Keeping it stock, he said, would be unwise because of the high cost of repair unless this was a show truck (which it is not). Additionally he expressed concern that any used radio I might purchase would also have the very same problems with the capacitors as the radio I currently have. I thanked him for his honesty and will follow his advice of installing an aftermarket radio in the truck. This is a prime example of putting the needs of the customer first and why he has earned the trust of so many people here in Charlotte for more than two decades.

I have been in the automotive repair business for over 25 years and I have been using Downtown Radio Service for the past 20 plus years, Doug and his staff do a great repairs on your INSTRUMENT CLUSTERS, SPEEDOMETERS, RADIO and CD & DVD PLAYERS. Always honest, helpful on answering questions, fair on price and a quick turnaround, they do sometimes get busy and there may a delay, but I rather would wait and have it done correctly and less cost than what a dealership would charge you. I can remember Doug stayed late one night to help me on a Instrument cluster repair when he did not have too, but he knew that my customer needed the vehicle back in the morning. I am glad to see that there is someone out there that does this work so you do not have to just replace that item because just one small problem occur. This is what I call old school repairs!I hope he is around another 20 years!

Downtown Radio repaired my speedometer quickly and efficiently. Dont go to a dealer, theyll bring it here to have it worked on and mark it up. Youll save some $ and get expert service at Downtown Radio.

Old Fashioned Service. These guys took care of repairing the factory head unit in my Honda Pilot for a fraction of what it would have cost to have it replaced. And it only took two days! Glad to have a company like this in my hometown!

They just spent 10-15 minutes on the phone helping me with a Nav disc problem on a 2005 Accord. Friendly, informative ... no charge.

Was refereed to them by a friend, called to see if they could assist me and they were very rude on the phone and didnt even give me an opportunity to explain why I was calling. Would not do business with them.

I dropped off an instrument cluster on wednesday september 5th, Ive been told on frequent occasions that someone will be looking at it, but then being told the same nonsense on a daily basis, it has now been 5 days and it still hasnt even been looked at. Im not holding my breathe, hopefully tomorrow it will actually be looked at, have heard great things about this place, but i am extremely disappointed.
