We were a little hesitant after seeing some the of reviews but this was actually the least stressful part of my kitchen reno. We went to the showroom, met Lee and picked out what we wanted (edging, sink etc). The template team came out and answered a lot of my questions. Lee let me come in and place the template on the slab to maximize capturing the variation on the quartz a few days later. A week after the template my countertops are in. The install team moved my stove in and out, we’re very careful (I was so nervous after seeing the previous review/photo) but they were really good. The seam in the center of island is almost not visible. I’m very happy with the ordering process, install and product. I researched a ton of other companies and these guys were the best on price and lead time as well.

We recently used $39 dollar granite for kitchen counters and matching backsplash for the bath. They were incredible throughout the entire process. I could not be more pleased with the pricing or the outcome of the job. Absolute professionals! I highly recommend this company and will use them 100% for our next job!

We purchased iron doors from $39 Dollar Granite. We were able to design the doors ourselves and price was reasonable. Production occured in China and due to COVID was delayed quite a bit. I am giving the company 2 stars not because of the product or installation, both went very smoothly. However it was a communication disaster!! I could never get in touch with the owner Lee to know what was going on with my door, the delays or installation. Each time I got information it was because I reached out to them several times! The office never had any information. Lee was always out of the country, sick or the phone was off. It was AWFUL! After the door installation, I never got a call to ask how things were, just a charge for the remainder. I would not recommend the company merely based on communication and service.

BEWARE!! We paid $39 Granite (aka Evergreen Homes, Inc.) to install quartz countertops and when their installer put them in, he crushed in the oven door of our brand new downdraft range. The stove still had the new stickers on it! We asked that they replace the entire range since we did not pay for a refurbished unit. I was put off for over a week and then finally told that they were making the installer pay for it and put me off on him to work out a deal. I continued to call and asked daily that the owner call me, and I never heard from him. I was told that the contract that I signed released them from any obligation to repair it but the installer would pay for the glass replacement. Since this is a downdraft unit, it has the venting system that connects underneath and vents out under the house. When my husband installed it, I contacted our salesperson, Nicole and in writing told her that the stove was permanently installed into the vent system in the floor and even offered to have it re-templeted, if needed, before the install of the granite. She responded that she had checked with Amanda, the business manager and also the templetor, Rafael and they both said that it was okay to cut it with the measurements that they had. When the installer came to put the countertops in, he said that they tried to twist the stove around, but it was bolted to the floor. When they did that, they actually used so much force that the frame underneath is now bent, and the blower vent was dented under it. There are two dents on the raised metal vent on top of the stove that looks like a hammer was used. I dont know how they did it but even the pictured knob to burner on the front panel is rubbed off of one of the burner knobs It had to have taken a lot of force to shatter the glass of the oven door. It looks like someones knees went through it. Needless to say, it has been over 6 weeks now and I still do not have a repaired stove. I had notified them that the stove was installed permanently, and the installer still tried to move it. I consulted an attorney, but he said that although I had done my part to notify them that the stove could not be moved and would win at small claims court, the time and costs would outweigh my winning. I still have not talked to Lee Bonacum, the owner. Amanda, the business manager, turned very ugly when I continued to ask for help. I have an audio of her telling me, after I told her that $39 Granite did not take responsibility for any damage that they do in anyones home, that You sure werent worried about that when you were signing the contract, were you? I will add a link to the audio conversation and pictures of the damaged stove. The installer has ordered a glass panel and that will be the most that he will do for us. Actually, he told us weeks ago that he would pick it up and take it Lowes to have it fixed. My husband uninstalled the stove and took it out to the garage to keep the shattered pieces of glass that kept falling out from damaging our new flooring. He called the day he was supposed to pick it up to tell us that he ordered the part and Lowes would send someone to put the glass in. Now, my husband will have to reinstall the entire stove and reattach all of the venting. Now I have a dented, twisted, warped, and refurbished stove that I paid $3,000.00 for and $39 granite could care less. A true testimony for a business is how well they treat their customers when they make a mistake and believe me, my story tells the tell!! I will be posting on every review that I can find for them. I see that Mr. Bonacum responds to all negative feedback with excuses but he sure has not reached out to me in this amount of time and numerous messages. No one deserves to be taken and $39 granite does not deserve to have your business!

We paid over $6k to this company, plus about $2500 for raw materials for their part of a bathroom remodel. The shower and backsplash installation were very problematic. The business owner engages in unethical business practices and hires poor quality subcontractors to complete the work. They have zero experience with showers or tile, and I imagine their lack of organization and communication result in problems with even the most standard jobs. I fully understand contracting jobs can have some delays and hiccups, but all of these issues together are unacceptable and resulted in significant delays that could have been avoided. Moreover, having to babysit the tile guy when he intermittently showed up for work caused me to lose a lot of time at work and to cancel a planned Valentines day beach trip. Heres my summary of the issues:1) The entire payment was taken hostage for over three weeks even though the deposit was supposed to be 50%. Even after recognizing the error, they did not offer to rectify. The company refused to refund the partial payment, and lied saying that this was their policy. This gave us less negotiating power regarding the next problems -- hence why the industry standard is to make the final payment AFTER the job is done correctly.2) Shoddy tile work: Marble backsplash tiles were touching and the business owner lied again, saying that gravity causes natural variations in spacing. That is what spacers are for, Im not an idiot, and 4 outside opinions confirmed. Several installed tiles were chipped and uneven Theres even one marble mosaic tile that had a saw blade run through it.3) Supervision and proper waterproofing: Not once did a supervisor from the company come to ensure that the tile person was upholding quality standards. A lack of oversight was a major problem because this was the only shower job they had ever done and (2) I had to take many hours away from work to look up, read, and request that standard precautions were taken to ensure proper waterproofing. This was not a one person job and thats all they sent.4) Inexperience: I chose this company was because I THOUGHT they had experience with installing stone material. The tile installer did not have stone experience and we had a grout crisis when the stone started to absorb the dark grout I had chosen (the stone had not been properly sealed). I unexpectedly had to take a full day off of work to manage and hand scrub the the stained stone (which the company also did not offer to do). I was the site supervisor - I even came up with the idea of how to install the floating stone bench even though they had reassured me in the contract process that there was a plan.5) Poor communication: The sales person provided invoices that looked like hieroglyphics, the business owner is often in China, and there were 2 more people who handled payment/management and the actual work. It was a terrible game of telephone no one had a full understanding of the plan despite me providing marked up photos indicating installation details.5) Quote/invoice: The invoice was impossible to interpret and never clearly explained all the components of the job that were discussed. It was supposed to include a custom niche and corner shelves but those were not provided because of miscommunication and illegibility. They also charged more per square foot for the stone than we agreed upon when we chose the slab.7) Timeline: We got our first quote from this company in December and the work was not complete for three months. All these issues, including the business owners international travel, played a role. The tile subcontractor was completely unreliable, not showing up when he agreed to.8) Cleanliness and stains: If I had carpet, it would be ruined. The tile man poured concrete-like material into our manicured Bermuda lawn, left bits of tile in the lawn and shrubs, and allowed plastic to float away into our neighborhood. And this dragged on for three weeks because the tile subcontractor was so unreliable and careless.

Do your research and shop around. The title of the business implies that the company offers a solid product at a good price, but they are actually more expensive than their competitors in town. They quoted two separate properties for us and installed at one. When their General Sales Manager (Tom) came to do a quote, he either assumed we were stupid or not listening. He is very good at adding to your quote for very small things and our quote increased 3 times before he ever left our house. On the second job, the work that was done was very poor. The crew did not clean up behind themselves and left all trash behind. The cuts on the granite were done at an angle and the seams do not line up. The crew did not seal the joints or caulk between the granite and wall, leaving a large visible gap. When I asked Tom about this I was told that this was not work that they did but they could at an extra cost of course. The team at the sales center also seems inexperienced and the work was not done when it was originally scheduled. Keep searching online and you will find a better granite company for a better price.

If you want to spend money to deal with poor customer service and lack of professionalism, go with $39 granite. The contractor went to install my countertops only to realize theyd cut it wrong or hed picked up the wrong piece. He Communicated to my husband that theyd call by 4pm and would be back the next morning. Needless to say, we had to follow up with them that evening and following morning because we never received a follow up call.Dottie, the woman that answers the phone and loves to cut you off mid-sentence, was not empathetic in any way to the situation. Im not even sure she apologized about what happen. She did go so far as to let me know she wouldnt be giving me any money back when I asked what they do for their customers when they put them in a place of inconvenience, being that I have an infant and need access to my kitchen. I never asked for money back; but what I do know about GOOD companies is that customer satisfaction is their number one goal, not money. While I absolutely understand that things happen and that human error is unavoidable, I do know that to mitigate customers frustrations, having a concrete contingency plan in place (being that it couldnt be confirmed when the piece would be cut and able to be reinstalled), as well as some better communication would avoid situations such as this. Also, keep in mind that word of mouth marketing is the best marketing there is. We were referred to you all by a friend that had plans to use you. Please know Ill be sharing my experience with her and encouraging her to use someone else.

Amanda in sales has been amazing at responding to all of our questions and concerns as they came up and while she was out with a family emergency the other Amanda stepped up and went above and beyond to handle a situation that came up during install. As everyone knows home renovations and building is stressful but when a company takes responsibility and responds appropriately you have my business for life! We shopped at the Charlotte store on Clanton road too. Although my experiences havent been as bad as some, I have been dissatisfied. I cannot say my issues are with $39 Granite as much as they are with the installers they contract with. There was an issue when a piece of quartz on my waterfall island was poorly secured during installation. There was also a problem with the measurement... Both required revisits. I understand that happens sometimes. But it is important to come when you are scheduled to! The lack of coordination between the store and their subcontractors is problematic. Twice I have stayed home from work expecting subs to show when they did not. Once when we called to find out if we could expect the sub to come as the rep in the store said he would, he said he didnt have me on his schedule. He said they had other crews who were off that weekend and he didnt know why they were overbooking him. I get he was frustrated but as a customer that really wasnt my concern. The last time we were expecting installation to be complete we waited all day for him to show. Finally when we called to see if he was coming he was pretty irritated and again unprofessional. $39 Granite is a good concept. My partially installed countertops look good so far. I hope they can work out the kinks. So their customers will be satisfied.

This isnt a question of lighting or stone variation - they gave us the totally wrong rock. Ive voiced my complaint and am willing to improve my rating if they address the issue to my satisfaction. The installers left some purple liquid on the face of my cabinets that wont come off and around my appliances they left too much space. I am very satisfied with the services and products provided by $39 Granite. The showroom has a huge selection of granite to choose from (a far larger selection than any other granite supplier in Charlotte, so far as I have seen) and you will find products to meet any budget. I visited many different granite suppliers in Charlotte and surrounding areas, but did not find anywhere that could meet the pricing and selection found here. Also, if youre working on a smaller job, you can find an extensive selection of granite remnants from which to choose, which are offered for extremely competitive prices. The staff I worked with were all very courteous and professional, and went out of their way to make things as convenient as possible for me. Amanda in particular is fantastic; she worked with me throughout the entire process, from the granite selection to the installation, and kept me informed the entire time.My project involved replacing the tops on two fancy bathroom vanities in my house, which had a rather intricate shape; I was a bit concerned about how easily the shape could be duplicated, but Rafael took very careful measurements and was able to perfectly duplicate the shape of the tops. The installers were on time and did a nice job. Ill certainly use this company again for future projects.

This review is about 39Dollar Granite, an affiliate/subsidiary of Evergreen Homes in the metro Charlotte area:I drove to their workshop to meet my salesman and deliver a sink & template at a time/date agreed upon at a prior meeting. The salesman was not there and no one knew where he was. I called their showroom/office and was told that the appointment was not on his schedule even though I saw him enter it and that he was at a doctors office.I tried to locate the granite remnant that was supposed to be marked with my name from a prior visit to the workshop so no one else could request it.. Was told that they are not marked until an order/contract was placed.Located remnant but inspection revealed too many issues/cracks with it. Staff helped to locate a similar remnant but it was so dark in the area that one of them had to use his i-phone flashlight to illuminate it enough to find an area that could be used for the vanity top as lighting is very poor. Marked an area to be used for the vanity top.Salesman came to home to have a contract signed and obtain partial payment. No copies of the two page contract were given to me even though I had to initial the document in many places agreeing to their terms. A term that I objected to stated that the balance due would be charged when the vanity top left the workshop….before one could inspect and approve the vanity top and have it installed. Even though I voiced an objection I was told I had to agree to that term or the order would not be processed. After two cancelled deliveries on their part, the one for installation was late as the drivers were not given the correct address and they were not able to contact the salesperson as he did not answer their calls. The top arrived with an area that needed additional polishing/grinding work so I refused to accept it.. I asked where my sink was as I didn’t see the box I brought it to them in. They pointed out a sink lying on the floor of the truck with no wrapping or other protection. When I inspected the sink it turned out that it was not mine but a different brand that was dirty and not in the brand new condition like the one I provided. I called the workshop later in the day and was told that they could not find my sink even though the box was still there. I later contacted the owner who kept claiming that it was my sink when it was not. After many emails he still did not admit that the sink they returned was not the one I supplied but he was eager to get back the sink they brought thinking it was a more expensive model than mine.Even though I refused the top until it was repaired, my credit card account was charged for the balance. I had to contact my bank to put a hold on the charges to protect my credit. Eventually the company issued a credit for the top and for the sink. They never did contact me to ask if I was still interested in the top and to come back and install it.From this experience, this is not a good company to do business with. They are not honest, reliable, do not follow thru, did not answer some of my calls, kept changing delivery dates for one reason or another and charged my credit card before I had a chance to inspect the product or the installation work. Their prices for remnant granite are really no different from other granite companies that may provide a better experience. They were an exhibitor at the Charlotte Spring Home and Garden Show so I thought that was maybe a vote of confidence. Boy was I disappointed.

Do not do business with them! I had a small job to do of replacing a bathroom countertop. The piece we needed was small enough for a remnant so I was to meet a sales person at their warehouse. The person was extremely late to meet with me and then never marked the piece I selected. Two days before installation, she called me asking to go back and pick out another piece. Luckily I had taken a picture and was able to send it to her so I didnt need to take another trip out to the warehouse. When the person came to install, he did not remove all the backsplash on the wall that was previously there. I had to ask him to do it. He also did no seal the granite though he told me that he did as a couple of days later I noticed water seeping in the stone and discoloring it. The plumber that they contracted with to come connect the faucet, did not do it correctly and told me I had to purchase something different. It was amazingly an easy fix that I was able to do with no plumbing experience. When I called the store to express my concerns, the person I spoke would not listen to what I had to say, yelled at me, and hung up on me. My experience with this company was horrendous.

I have sold and renovated multiple houses over the years and this company and staff are the most incompetent people I have ever had to deal with. Incompetence is an under statement, unreliable, and extremely unprofessional staff. All work is contracted out, the installers who do not work directly for the company were all professional and seemed to be just as annoyed with the sales staffs lack of ability to do anything correctly. Took several weeks to complete!!! Using this company resulted in me spending nearly $3000 extra because of their incompetence. You would be better off using Lowes or Home Depot as opposed to these people. Would give a lower rating than one star if possible. In response to the owners response. First off Im not with Raven homes, Im an individual home owner. Sales person came out and measured existing cabinets and area, was guaranteed that the new cabinets would fit in the existing floor plan and the existing counter tops could be removed and reinstalled. Was told I would have to order a more expensive cabinet in order to fit in the existing foot print so we did. Upon installation the new cabinets didnt fit which the original footprint so therefore the existing granite wouldnt fit. The response was I dont see what the problem is you ordered cabinets and got cabinets. Two drawer rails were ordered the wrong size was told I would need to find rails and order or purchase myself because they would not order them. We had to purchase new granite and then of course the wrong granite was cut and delivered. Had to remove and reinstall tile floor since the floor plan of the cabinets was off from previous cabinets. Everything was paid in full but since the owner obviously has no idea what goes on in his business or how his customers are treated. Worse experience in dealing with any company I have ever had.

Oh...where to begin. First we went down and picked out our granite . They put your name on it and then you put half down. Well on the day before install I got a call informing me that they gave someone else our granite. Yes, the one we had to go and pick out and pay for! This was just the start of it. We had to go back to Charlotte which is about an hour away and pick out another piece as they had no more of the one we chose. (Later we found out that the office did not know our install was moved up and they had another shipment of the granite we chose coming in that Monday.)So they gave ours to someone else and it seems they were gonna try to switch a new one with ours without us knowing. But since our install was moved up this really threw a wrench in their plan. They did bring out the new color and it was 2 different thicknesses where the seam was! How does this happen? Well no one believed us at 39 dollar granite so they sent the owner out. He could not believe it and agreed to send all new tops out. When they finally came out it wa wrong again. Bottom line, the first install was March 26th and we finally got it installed the correct way on April 18th. We were never a priority. In my opinion, they should have put our job first and just get it done. We were without a sink and counter tops. The first time we used them about a year ago they did ok. Never expect to get the piece of granite you pick out and pay for though as they will take your name off and offer it to someone else. This happened the first time as they took another persons name off a piece and offered it to us. We refused and asked to see the next piece. Maybe that was a sign. One more thing. They took the balance for the granite out of my debit card on the 25th of March. I planned on paying by check when they were complete and we were happy, per the contract. The template guy did great. The installers did their best with what they were given. So you can see why they got 1 star.

I have been waiting for a long time to put granite in my kitchen. I researched very well. At first we were gonna go with Lowes for the install but they nickeled and dimed us to death. We actually paid for the templating from lowes but ended up cancelling due to so many issues. We ended up going with $39 granite and absolutely LOVE the kitchen and the way things worked out.1. It was WAY cheaper due to the owner (whom we met at the warehouse) buying directly from the quarry2. The guy who came to template was awesome and extremely professional3. The woman at the sales office in Charlotte was so nice and it felt personal for us (name was Dori, not sure I spelled that right.4. The installers did a great job!!I have read some other reviews that were negative and called the office prior to install because I had some concerns and was a little worried after reading the negative reviews. I realized it seems only unhappy people usually post reviews. We had absolutely zero issues with the dates or the service.I love how they offer package deals that include EVERYTHING! It included the removal of our old counter tops, the measuring, the install, the sink, the plumbing and they did not charge us for each rounded corner (Like the lowes people wanted to). They include 5 or 6 different edging options. Everything was one price depending on the range of square feet and the choice of granite. There is just no way that anyone else could have done a better job for us.VERY VERY PLEASED AND MY KITCHEN LOOKS AMAZING!!! Thank you Lee, Tom, Dori and the rest of the crew!

We had our troubles and mix ups, but we got our counters installed and they do look great. The process was painful at times.

Lee (owner) runs this company [essentially] as a one man show. No one else can make decisions except him. It is run just like a contractor. First question is how quick and cheap can we get it done. I had him do a 9 foot bathroom counter top for me. He charged me 50% up front and then charged me the other half without my authorization before the granite was even installed, absolutely ridiculous. In fact, if you read his contract, it says that he will charge you before the job is done. I crossed it out on the contract, told him I did not agree. He said it was OK, then ignored what he signed!Installers were late by about 7 hours, no phone calls. Tried calling Lee multiple times, got a response a few hours later. So after I have taken the day off work, they show up around 6pm.Overall quality of the job was horrible, they drilled my faucet holes crooked and field-cut my backsplash. It was so bad that I had to buy a replacement backsplash. The caulking job was even worse. I could have done a better job in the dark with silly putty while drinking. Guess what?, Lee still wouldnt answer my calls.I searched months for a comparable granite and found it at Legacy Countertops in Pineville. They were the most helpful and resourceful team, I will give all my business to Legacy the future.

Horrible phone experience just trying to come look at their granite options. I was made to feel like I was bothering them for calling.

I WOULD NOT RATE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I will never recommend this company. We could not be present for the install and gave combo code to the front door. When they installed, the cabinets were uneven and they installed anyway and DID NOT call to notify us!!! We could have rectified the situation before they installed but they installed and didnt say anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How can a company stand behind this type of work. Its my fault, I saw the bad reviews previously and still went with the company, so this is what I get.................................Shame on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dont deal with Dottie, she contradicts herself and lies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
