Awesome store! They have a variety of options, as well as fantastic spice selection and fresh olives (authentic middle eastern options not your typical boring American olive). Very friendly people working here as well. The only con is that the parking lot is very small, but try to go early morning and it’s much easier.

Before when you ask for any part of the lamb meat they will give you what you asked for, now whatever you ask they will give you what they feel to give you, I asked for ground lamb meat the guy went to the meat freezer came back with a big lamb leg in a plastic bag that Sams club sell it in their store, the guy at the meat department is not professional always have attitude this place in not good any more, I recommend to go visit other halal stores in the area.

This was the biggest halal market I’ve been too and they have everything you need so you don’t need to shop anywhere else. I wish I lived here so I could do all my shopping here. It was very clean and organized

I just want to reply and to point out that they never ask a customer for their ground beef to be boneless or with bones, please let’s not post false and lie reviews, and put ourself in funny position.And I’m sure neither they nor us (as other customers) wouldn’t want to see such a customer in the store either.

I am a long time regular customer.I made a trip to the shop for my 4th of July weekend food needs. I noticed that the TV which normally displays the menu was not on in the meat department. All the items were out so I asked for ground meet and they said they can provide this item even though their shelves are empty. I was asked if i want bones in my meat which i refused. soon after i asked for deli meat which they provided. when i went to checkout line the price was inflated. when cashier was asked about this increase she said this is the correct price but asked the meat department to validate. Meat department had no answer to price inflation. we paid about 5 dollars per pound more for the deli and about the same increase for ground meat which had bones in it. It is really embarrassing to serve burgers to our guest which has bones.I feel this shop is in the business to exploit Muslim community in Charlotte to purely make a buck. I am all about supporting a small business, but ethical business practices is a must, especially when you are in the HALAL business. I feel that unethical practices has turned this Halal business into the contrary. I will no longer support Halal International with my grocery needs.

I love this place. The only negative is their isles are a little tight. They have so much variety of international items with reasonable prices. You can find things that you dont have to fly overseas to buy👍👍

Wonderful! Everyone was so helpful! Wanted to buy Tahini to use in making hummus. Dont ignore these small stores, they had Tahini when no one else in Charlotte,(grocery stores) had any in stock. The spices are are so reasonable!!!

It is the best Arabic supermarket in Charlotte, and I believe it is the largest and they literally have everything Arabic groceries, halal meat, halal frozen food, and Arabic clothes.

Halal International has an excellent selection of Middle Eastern, African and European grocery items. Many Turkish products, amazing, especially check out Turkish Tulum cheese. Incredible chocolate selection, Milka is highly suggested. Check out Baklava in frozen section, amazing Turkish baklava. They have oil perfumery impression of very expensive cologne. Last but not least, check out Turkish lemon cologne.

They have a very good selection of grocery items but I had a bad experience with a brother who was supposedly help me to buy their meat but instead he made me and my wife upset and we decided to spend our money in another halal market. A little smiling or friendly answering to my questions like how much is it or is it zabiha wouldnt hurt him but he is far from these manners. I guess he doesnt know the hadith smiling is a small sadaqah, or he doesnt need sadaqah.Another issue is price tags. You can not find the price tags on each item. So you have to search the other similar items or walk around with the item to find somebody to ask how much is it. Already meat prices (per lbs) are not shown, you have to ask to the butcher ( who is that friendly brother).

Based off the google description of a butcher shop, was surprised by the extensive grocery and personal care selection. I would say they have hundreds of spices. The spices are in several locations throughout which can be a bit confusing but nonetheless it was great. Was so inspired by their international/middle eastern selection of goods and can’t wait to frequent this place in the Windsor Park area.

This is the best place to purchase all your butcher needs and to purchase groceries. They have awesome service. Always polite and respect their customers. The food quality is always very fresh. The customer service is top notch. The store is always clean and tidy. Very organized and easy to find what you need.

Halal International has a very friendly and helpful staff with an excellent selection of Middle Eastern, African and European grocery items . If you go there be sure to try something from their cheese selection which includes Bulgarian feta and others and a selection of strained yogurt Cheeses. Definitely do not miss out on the homemade breads or anything freshly made at the front counter.

Been going here for over a decade. They just expanded and it looks so good! mashaAllahThey have a produce section nowI mainly go here for meat. Its always good, fresh, and clean (none of that gross pink slime stuff in the ground beef) very high quality and Halal (look it up if you dont know). They also have all kinds of international snacks, candy, and drinks. Kitchen and cooking supplies as well. With the new expansion its very organized and clean looking. Definitely worth a look, even to just explore what they have.

Perhaps the most helpful and well stocked middle eastern store in town. From naan to lamb, egyptian, iranian, afghani spices; youll get everything here. The people are so helpful.

Good enough for what I was looking

The market just expanded it shows promise but not there yet. I will stick with Harris Teeter‘s for must haves and shop here for specialty items only you can’t find at Harris Teeter‘s and Food Lion. Cashiers need to be friendlier not in hurry to look and talk on cell phone and to pay attention to double bagging multiple heavy bottles and stop trying to conserve bags.

The biggest and best international food and Halal meat market, they have been my favorite Halal store for years, especially the recent renovation and expansion, very clean and very friendly people.

Fresh meat, great variety of international food, bread and sweets. Kind people work there. Always helpful. So glad they exist here in Charlotte!

The cashiers are charged me double most the time Specially when I buy more then 7 things and they charge me 45$ more in my bill last week! I just buy 1 oil in my bill 2 time and also tea and cheese and when I back and show them and ask them why you charge me double he said it was accidentally 🤨People should careful in cashiers they are not honest unfortunately. I have a few friends They shop sometimes there and they said that happened to us too 😏

Love shopping at this place!! They are always helpful and stocked. If there is a particular item that they dont have, then they usually will order it for you, or inform you when they will have it. Best place for Mediterranean groceries. The meat is always fresh!!!

I wouldn’t got here for meat!The products are good the beef is bad. Bought beef stew prices with fat and the sides of the prices had become like beef jerky. I ordered lamb prices and 2/3 of my order was bones and fat. I’m originally from Chicago and if a store sold meat like that it would not last a month.I called and they told me to bring it back which is good. However I am a working mother/wife and i couldn’t go back for another week which would have been too late. Just overall, not something that should have happened to begin with, especially when meat is so expensive.

Clean and organized

The store has a great variety of international spices & exotic foods from many corners of the globe. They also have beautiful Islamic decoration, clothing & insightful reading material. Also, Ive found the meat (being halal) is very fresh & if you call ahead they often make it ready for you to pick up :D The store is clean & well maintained, the associates are very friendly, especially when asking help. I would recommend this store as a regular stop to any & everybody!It is as The Almighty willed it :D

I asked him got meat he sale for lamp meat, they didn’t honest they don’t give you what you asked them . If they don’t have them they don’t say it . You need to make sure before you buy things that’s the exact one .

Good selection of Middle Eastern groceries, and they have a halal butcher in the back.Pros: Big selection of Arabic canned foods, cheeses, and spices; decent prices; good olive selection; active halal butcher on duty.Cons: The manager is a rude, rude man who is extremely unhelpful. Ive been there ten times, and he is rude (or surly and dismissive) to almost everyone -- women, men, Arabs, Iranians, Pakistanis, but especially Indians. Makes me uncomfortable whenever I go there. In fact, I prefer to go the Halal Grocery across the street just because the owner/manager is such a nice guy, as are the women in the bakery. The butcher is nice, and helpful, so if all you want is meat, go there and avoid the guy up front (hes almost always the cashier, unfortunately).

I give this place a five star rating simply because HADDI offers superb customer service. He goes above and beyond every time I visit… He helps me with my strange requests in getting me set up with meat to feed my cats… He even reminds me of certain ingredients that I get mixed up sometimes… Go figure… he seems to know my recipe needs for Will and Ken (my cats) just as much as I do if not even more…
