So excited for my daughter to start college at this University. The excitement was in the air all move in weekend. The school president was meeting and greeting students and making sure everything was OK

One of the best HBCU Ive visited. A very proud campus. Founded 1867!!

Took my sons for the first time, very organized very knowledgeable of the product. Gave me info on bulk orders and online orders. Great experience for me and my sons. I will define back again.

I graduated from Smith in 2004. It was nice to see the upgrades they did to the student union (yogurt store and burger king). The dorms still need work....Greenfield hall looks exactly the same with the exception that it now houses both guys and freshman.

Dont care for ANY aspect of JCSU. I worked there for a while, and believe me, what you see on the surface is definitely not whats going on behind the scenes. Parents and students research the quality of the universitys food served in the cafeteria as well as the cleanliness of the facilities before paying for those ridiculously high meal plans! Eaters beware!

A very fine bookstore. Was able to find everything that was school related their. Very accommodating to students and alumni

I enjoyed visiting the campus, but the students is on spring break. It has history yet it is update to technology and trending issues got young people. The staff and faculty are eager to help and assisted the young people.

I was very interested in going to this school...until further in the year. I asked about financial aid for months after my acceptance date (Nov.) and they kept holding back information. When I had visited this summer for orientation, they seem to blind me with the great surroundings of entertainment, fun, and diversity..but still was unorganized when it came to serious matters like school and financial aid. They didnt tell me until ONE WEEK before classes that I needed $1700 to MOVE IN plus additional cost. smh After I withdrew, they decided to tell me they would help after THREE WEEKS LATER. Very unorganized school

Love it! Check hours online before going if your coming from off campus. Staff is friendly and helpful!

Nice campus but either building upkeep is lacking or the students dont value some of the beautiful facilities they have/had. The Student Union building upkeep is abysmal.

Most people are commenting about the school on the book store review page. Anyways I love the school and the book store, Im always greeted at the book store on a first name basis by Miss Joan and I love that! The manager I very friendly too.

Go on ahead fill em blue collars pockets with your hard earned money. Its not like they care about you. Hell you can buy a farm with what youre gonna give em.

Great place to learn about Charlottes Black History as covered on the QCT Charlotte Black/African-American Heritage Tour.

This is very unprofessional the persons in the business, financial office are very rude and not helpful. They tell you information at the last minute and dont keep students involved with information especially those that deal with finances. The president sucks the school sucks. I would not recommend this school. Too expensive and not worth your time. Attend another HBCU

They have nice alumni options as my sister in law went there!
