I had a great experience today. I went in for two helix piercings and a nostril piercing. From start to finish everyone was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable/professional. The selection of jewelry was great and they were very helpful in finding something that worked for my budget and style. I also appreciate the hell out of Lucy who did my piercing, she was efficient and effective and honestly is was mostly painless (or as painless as a piercing can be). The service and professional skill was worth the hour I drove to see them.

My experience here at Sadu was great! From the staff that first greet you to the piercers, I had a great experience. Sadie was very polite, knowledgeable and patient. Glenn and Cyndie made sure to explain each step of the process and was very gentle. Additionally, the cleanliness and sanitation procedures they are follow are excellent! I will be back!

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Sadu! I made an appointment with Cindy to map out my ear, and then made a follow up appointment for the piercings. She listened to my concerns and came up with a beautiful plan. On the day of my appointment, Glenn helped me choose some absolutely gorgeous jewelry (from a HUGE selection). Cindy made me feel super comfortable during the piercings, and they were a breeze. Several weeks later, I had my appointment to downsize my posts with Mara, who was also awesome. Overall, a fantastic experience with all the staff I encountered, and I’m thrilled with the end result!!

First time Ive been here. I went to a different piercing place before but since changing jobs, SADU was closer. They have a huge selection of jewelry. Everyone was down to earth and knowledgeable. Ill be back again in a few weeks for a downsize of my piercing, and would definitely go back if I was looking to get pierced again.

I got a cartilage piercing from Ms. Cindy 2 days ago and so far have not experienced any pain, the wound has been completely clean, and I love the way it looks! They have a TON of cute jewelry to choose from as well, I ended up getting a little bee!

She was absolutely amazing every step of the way, had previous knowledge on what I was looking to get done as well as did more research between the consultation and appointment. I got both nostrils pierced today and Cindy was nothing but professional. She actually corrected my septum piercing several years ago when another studio screwed it up. I live in Asheville now and traveled to Charlotte just to get my nostrils done here because I knew they’d come out perfect! She took the time to measure my nose and perfect the placement and was thorough in explaining the aftercare to me. I always send my friends here and I don’t know if I’ll ever go anywhere else for my piercings. SADU is the best!

From start to finish this place did an amazing job on my nostril piercing. I work in a professional environment so I needed jewelry that was more conservative. They were able to offer me the Neometal Textured Labrets which worked out perfect for what I was needing in terms of jewelry. Cindy did an amazing job with placement. I explained to her that years ago I had gotten my nostril pierced and then it closed up and there was a small amount of scar tissue in that spot. Cindy felt around in my nostril and luckily the new placement was not anywhere near where my 10 year old scar was. The piercing process was amazing and smooth, everything was explained to me as she was going which made me feel incredibly comfortable. The aftercare has been amazing and my pain has been minimal which means they did a fantastic job with piercing and placement and cleanliness. I’m so glad this place survived and thrived through the Pandemic. Yes, they are pricey but I’ve paid for cheap piercings in the past and honestly I will never go anywhere else. You truly get what you pay for, quality, professionalism, and cleanliness. Also know that they are super busy right now! I had to wait for some time past my appointment time but that did not bother me at all. It was worth it to make sure that my piercing was done professionally and correctly.

I was scheduled for a tongue piercing. Lucy checked my tongue... Decided the hole from having my tongue pierced years ago was still opened... Did a gauge instead of a piercing and everything went perfect. She took the time to analyze everything,+... And I ended up getting a partial refund due to it being a stretch instead of a piercing. Someone could easily have just pierced thru the same hole... Or just charged the same... But she went beyond what she had to and made everything great. This was my second time at SADU and absolutely love the people, the place and the selection of jewelry (love the anodized jewelry option!!!) Thank you Lucy for being so awesome!!!

I have been wanting 3 flat piercings for a while and since I am not from the area, I was referred to SADU by a friend. Cindy is fantastic. The week before my appointment she thoughtfully and kindly answered all of my questions. I could tell by her responses that she was a seasoned piercer. I sent her ideas of what I wanted, and she was very agreeable. The day of my appointment I showed up about 30 minutes early to look at their jewelry selection. The shop is clean and bright. Being from LA, I am used to jaded employees at tattoo and piercing studios barely noticing you and being waaaay too cool for school. Not the case here! I was cheerfully greeted by Glenn who knew my name and said, I have been thinking about your piercings and came up with some jewelry combos. What?! How cool is that! I was immediately at ease. I am so glad he was there because the selection of beautiful and hip jewelry is overwhelming (come early to make your selection). Glenn was also very patient and nice and even went to his back stock to make a suggestion for me, informing me about what jewelry would work for my piercing and why. After I selected my jewelry, I sat and relaxed while it was sterilized. Then it was time to go! Cindy took such care and time to make sure my piercings were placed exactly where I wanted them. She used calipers to make sure the spacing was even. Having OCD, I was over the moon with her precision. The piercing went very quickly, and Cindy has a very steady, smooth hand. The entire experience was geared toward making me comfortable while ensuring my health and safety. When she was done and showed me the piercings I was so happy. They turned out beautifully! She then took the time to carefully explain my aftercare. I will definitely go back once my current piercings have healed for some additional piercings. I was very, very impressed by my experience. Please email beforehand and let them know what you want done - I originally asked for another piercer who was not comfortable doing what I had in mind - so Cindy stepped in. I am very grateful that the original piercer knew their limits and wasnt afraid to let us know. Thank you for a professional, clean and educational experience.

Incredibly kind, considerate, knowledgeable, & comforting staff! Amazing experience!! I got my first piercings done here, and it’s almost entirely run by women & non-binary people. I was always gendered correctly and respected in my visits. The staff was patient & helpful in picking out my jewelry, and Cindy (my piercer) made me feel right at home. She taught me everything I needed to know about how she was piecing, how to clean my piercings, etc. My ears never even hurt! The front staff is also great about adhering to pandemic guidelines (masks, social distancing sanitization) and even go so far as to not reuse pens. This made me feel cared for & respected. I would recommend SADU for anyone and everyone — they are the BEST!!!

I have four piercings on each of my ears now and the service I received here is the absolute best that I received. Everyone in the shop was super nice, I got along great with all the employees. Over all experience was great. I do wish they took appointments. It was pretty busy we were there start to finish about 3hrs. The actual piercing only took 15min. That being said, my daughter was incredibly pleased with the result, definitely worth the wait!

Im so impressed with the quality, professionalism, and friendliness of this piercing studio! The staff member at the front with the blonde hair and glasses is so sweet and helpful. They were great at answering all my questions and suggesting options so I didnt feel overwhelmed by the choices. My piercers name was Cindy. She got me back after my jewelry finished cleaning (maybe 10-15 minutes after I picked it out), and spent plenty of time making sure my piercing was just what I wanted and that I understood how to take care of it. She is very thorough and I felt like she really listened to me. My piercing is perfect and she was so gentle! She even looked at another troubled piercing I got somewhere else for me and gave me advice on how to help it. She never made me feel rushed or like I was asking dumb questions. I went in for two piercings this past weekend. First time going to Sadu and I was pierced by Mara. First off everyone was so nice and welcoming from the front desk staff to the piercers. They talked me through all my options for piercings and jewelry and were so excited to help me decide on my new piercings! Mara took her time with me to get the perfect placements and Im so happy with them. On day 3 now and I’ve had NO pain at all after the initial piercings! Absolutely lovely experience and I’ll definitely be back to get more piercings here in the future!

WOW! I wish I could leave a 100 star review for this amazing place! From the moment I walked in I felt so welcomed and at ease. Cindy was absolutely amazing and made my piercing an absolute breeze! I can’t wait to come back! Thank you again for such an amazing experience!

I believe my piercers name was Lucy. I got the double conch piercing and they’re really cute! She did a great job and you could tell she knew what she was doing. The only thing that caught me off guard was the price. I paid $50 to book the appointment. The jewelry she showed me was pretty expensive $180-$240 so I asked for something cheaper and she showed me the gold three prong diamonds, I believe they were 1.5mm. Those were $55 each. So I was expecting to pay $110 which is already pricey. Then you had to pay for the backings which were $13-$16 each (can’t remember exact price). Whenever I get piercings, the backings are included so I didn’t understand that, then of course NC tax which brought the jewelry total to $145. For me personally, that was way too expensive for those small piercing earrings! I had already paid the $50 deposit so I just sucked it up. But I wouldn’t do it again. So if you do go get pierced just be mindful that it could get pricey.

Took daughter to have ears pierced. Waited 1 hour after our pre-scheduled appointment, which requires signing multiple agreements that you will be on time for your appointment. I gave them a pass, even though the lady out front is less than friendly.Went back to have earrings removed, which required an appointment with a five dollar fee (after having paid well over 100.00 for the ear piercing service and earrings), with the same number of warnings and stipulations about not being late for ones appointment. Got there, same less than friendly lady greeted us, failing to tell us that they were 45 minutes behind schedule! After 30 minutes of waiting, and subsequently inquiring as to the wait, she offered no apology and simply went back to work.Would not recommend anyone use this establishment. Others in the store were also frustrated about the wait times, also having scheduled appointments.Update:I requested a refund for the $5 appointment fee for removal of earrings- this hasnt occurred, even after explaining that wed driven from Gastonia and ensured we were on time per all the warnings in the paperwork. Actions outweigh words 100% of the time.I would suggest that you not schedule appointments every 15 minutes, if many people require extra time - or increasing the time between appointments, however long that time may be. My appointment choices were 15 minutes apart - clearly not enough time.And, having two technicians instead of one would really help catching up after the clients that need more time. Both times I was there, I only saw one technician.

Very pleased with the overall experience and with the covid precautions the studio has in place. Lucy did a great job with my piercings, and the jewelry selection was AMAZING. I picked custom-anodized titanium. Sure, its more expensive than you can buy online, but jewelery of this quality isnt available online. Ill be coming back to upgrade all my jewelry eventually! (and probably for more piercings, too!)

At first the guy servicing us was really rude to me. I’m not sure if it was because I look a certain way, but I almost started crying and almost left. He was just super obnoxious until I told him the piercings I wanted. When I picked out jewelry, he never told me the prices but yet I heard him discussing it with other people after me (he brought it up first to them). I was charged $75 for a piece of jewelry. Their jewelry prices don’t reflect the bars and back hardware which you don’t find out until you’ve check out. And then to top it off, the guy made my husband feel obligated to give a tip (they already charge a piercing fee, so if they need tips, then they should raise their prices). We waited for almost two hours after paying. It made my nerves even worse, and the shop echoes very badly. They also said I needed to return in 30 days after the piercings, and I’m not sure why, because I confirmed with another shop that that’s just another way to make money. I am very grateful for my beautiful piercing but I had an appointment at 4:25 and was not even pierced until almost 6:00, no one seemed to mind that it was so much past my initial time. I spent a lot on the piercing fee and ring and someone who was already seen was called back in before me, I am happy with the piercing itself but I was not given any kind of discount or any kind of caring about my long wait time. I did not get home until 7:30!

I visited this location today and the young lady was less than helpful/friendly. I understand that due to Covid there are some limitations, but this lady was caught up on what she couldn’t do and made no suggestions. All I wanted was to buy a nose hoop as my nose is already pierced. She went on about not knowing what size I needed. My piercing is in a spot where I could’ve barley pull down my mask to show her what I had so she could allow me to buy jewelry, but she would not allow me to. I just went elsewhere that gladly helped me with what I needed. I drove a long distance and made that very clear and she could care less. What a waste of time! Then she had the audacity to sarcastically tell me to have a great day as I was leaving. Yeah, I did once I went on to the next place!Update: (Replying to response) I never asked any questions via GOOGLE, I came in person! How about address the sarcasm as I was leaving your establishment. The person that assisted me when I was there has NO CLUE about customer service...ZILCH.

Lucy who pierced 3 holes on my ears was great! She was patient with me and very communicative, I had a little freak out once I found out they do not use piercing gun but only needle, but again Lucy worked with me and was super patient and overall wasnt too painful at all.However, jewelry is very overpriced. Selection is wonderful from gold to titanium, but again, both very overpriced. I needed to purchase 3 pieces and even though I bought 3 relatively inexpensive pieces, it was still $170 plus $39 for backs($13 each). Piecing itself was $70 which I paid ahead. With 20% tip which was well deserved by Lucy, I spent little over $350. After procedure was over, I was encouraged to go back in a month for a check-up which Im sure is also associated with more cost. Overall good experience but these hidden, neverending costs put a damper on an experience. I would recommend this place, but be ready to spend few hundreds.

The owner sent a reply and said Im not a real client so I feel the need to respond. I am a real client that had jewelry installed twice. It seems the owner always writes that people are not real when there is a bad review. Heres the problem with Sadu: they dont install jewelry that dont sell. The second thing is they dont stand behind any of their jewelry either. If you have a problem with their jewelry you are out of luck!! Also beware that you have to pre-pay for your service and if they dont happen to have the jewelry that you need, well you forfeit that too. Wish I could give this business 0 stars.

I had a very good experience with Cindy . She’s one of the staff members of Sadu ( think she’s the owner ) anyway, I had came in to get a nipple piercing removed that I had gotten somewhere else that was done incorrectly. I came in to see her and she analyzed it and even told me what the piercer did wrong when he pierced me, so she removed the piercing for me and recommended that I come back to her to get it re-pierced correctly. So I ended up coming back about 3 years later, and she re-pierced me . I was so happy and pleased with the placement of the jewelry and the friendly service she provided . I wish I had known about Sadu before I went to the other piercing shop, but none the less, she corrected and I could’ve left happier ! Thanks Cindy ! You Rock !! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I have been here twice now, once to get a double helix and another time to get a conch. Both times the staff up front and my piercer Cindy were amazing. Cindy was extremely professional, informative, but also quick. She answered any questions I had and made everything super easy. The staff up front were super helpful and understanding when I was being mad indecisive about my jewelry choices. I recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back in the future to get more piercings.

I came in today for some ear piercings and new jewelry, and I couldnt be more pleased. The jewelry selection is vast; almost overwhelming! Thankfully the gentleman who assisted me with my paperwork and picking jewelry was knowledgable and had excellent suggestions. He showed me what would and wouldnt work for my piercings, and pointed out several beautiful pieces of jewelry I hadnt even noticed. The wait was about one hour to see the piercer, and it was well worth every second and penny spent. Cindy is the manager and also was my piercer today, and she was fantastic. She has a keen eye for placing new piercings and making sure everything fits just right. She is patient and has a very calming demeanor, and makes the whole process fast and nearly painless, also offering great advice and aftercare instructions. Everyone in the shop was so incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable! Their studio is so clean and as soon as my friend and I walked in we were greeted & got to have some good conversation. Our piercer, Cindy, was so encouraging and didn’t mind answering the million questions I had for her—she even encouraged it!When I started feeling a bit woozy after my piercing, everyone was so so kind to me and assured me it was normal and nothing to be embarrassed over. (They even gave me a nice blue ice pop that felt amazing and brought me back to my normal color in minutes, including a nice lie down.)Their advice and aftercare instructions are wonderful! My review might be off on the time line BUT Ive had my piercing done by them about 5 years ago and it’s still holding up!! Got my septum done with diabetes and I was well aware of the high risk of doing so but I picked THE BEST OF THE BEST to get it done by because I didn’t get no complications and it didn’t come out crooked what so ever! After getting my septum pierced in the wrong spot at a different piercing studio, I came here after learning they were part of the APP (association of professional piercers), and let me just say, they did not disappoint!!!! First, I messaged them about making sure they would be able to help, and their response was prompt, professional, and extremely helpful. After coming to the shop, I was helped right away. The guy at the counter was helpful, offered to find me the best options, and jewelry!Meeting with Cindy, we determined Id need some new jewelry for my septum, instead of the old one I came in with.She educated me, giving me a ton of information about care for the septum, not to mention piercing it correctly, in the right spot this time.Additionally, I got another piercing in my ear, and Cindy was helpful to discuss the best kind of jewelry, what to look for in the jewelry to get the best quality, as well as discuss care for ones she hadnt even done!!!While it certainly was pricey, the experience, as well as the quality of the jewelry was absolutely worth it.Cindy made a lifelong customer out of me!! Worth the wait, worth the price!

Theyre the best! My family gets all our piercings here. My 8-year-old got her ears pierced by Lucy a few months ago, and Cindy has pierced my nostril, my husbands ears, my sisters helix, and even our 68-year-old mothers nose! The service is always splendid and theyre always available to help if you ever have any doubts or questions! Highly recommended for the whole family! *Love, Celeste and family*

I came in on Monday, a slower business day because I wanted to avoid the long wait. The staff there were all very friendly, unlike the usual piercing/body modification places. I signed in and filled out my paperwork and they told me it would be about 15minutes for sterilization. As I began to wait the piercer of the day came out and took someone else who came in after me. This didn’t bother me because she was just doing a jewelry change. But the piercer had some issues with the fit. So my 15minute wait turned into 30minutes. However, the staff acknowledged me and they apologized for the delay. I was even gifted an aftercare kit for the inconvenience. That made the 10% difference for me that kept me from walking out the door. They acknowledge me, and responded accordingly. I appreciate their expertise and I plan to return to purchase more jewelry and piercings!!

I have had 4 piercings (lobe, nostril, helix & conch) done by Cindy at Sadu. She immediately put me at ease, discusses placement, and lets me know what to expect. I so impressed with how quickly and effectively the piercings are done. I wouldnt see anyone else for a piercing. The shop gets busy, and you often have to wait your turn. But they are busy because theyre the best.

I am highly upset with my experience at sadu this evening. Kaya helped me get a nose ring which was highly overpriced and ended up being $130 with tax and the back and I tipped %15 so in total it was around $140. The back was not fitting around the nose ring so I went back in to ask kaya for help, to which she replied “I told you it would be big,” and would not switch out the back piece for a smaller piece because it was the smallest size they had apparently. She would not accept a refund either, and suggested I use the nose ring as an earring. That comment came off as very condescending and rude considering I had just supported this small business and spent $130 plus a tip for her simply showing me the jewelry. She gave off a very condescending and unprofessional attitude towards me when I simply wanted help. They also aren’t doing face jewelry installations because of Covid so now I have a nose ring I cant install since the back is too large. This experience upset me because I have been coming here for piercings for years. I unfortunately will not be returning due to this disgusting experience.

Sadu is wonderful. Ive had several piercings done there by Cindy. The studio is so clean and the jewelry choices go on forever. Im so glad theyll be reopening soon, and Im thankful that they always go above and beyond to keep their clients safe, especially times like this when were just coming out of a quarantine. They have several new policies to make sure that their customers and workers are kept as safe as possible and that means a lot. Yeah, things will be different, but its for a good reason, and the staff at Sadu always has their customers best interests at heart. Im so excited for my next appointment!

Cindy came highly recommended & now I see why! She is super friendly, explained the process to pierce my septum completely. I love that they sanitized the jewelry before using it. Everything was exactly how it should be - clean, sanitary and the staff was all knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Professional piercers. The dude out front is kinda snobby, but everyone else is very friendly and helpful. I had my nose pierced there in 2013. It was painless, and healed better than my ear piercings from (that place in every mall that sells cheap jewelry for girls.) They adjust my nose ring as many times as it takes to make it fit perfectly.

The customer service is A+. I came in right before they closed, so I was too late to get a piercing, but the guy at the front gave me a coupon and showed me a lot of jewelry choices and explained what could go in my piercing. Ill be back on Friday to see Cindy for my new nose piercing! Shes done some of my other ones and the ones shes done always heal the best because she is very good and gentle, and they use the best jewelry you can get. It costs more because its better quality than the stuff from the mall or tattoo shops, but like they told me, youre worth it! Dont settle for less than the best for your body!

I am in LOVE with this place! I went for the first time to get my nostril pierced (which I have had done before) and I have several piercings also. This place truly was the best experience I have ever had! Cindy was an amazing piercer and the rest of the staff was truly amazing as well! I have already recommended this place to several people and plan to go back myself soon!The selection of jewelry they offer for piercings and to just purchase is extensive and amazing quality as well; I truly cant say enough good things about them!

My teen daughter didn’t follow all the instructions for the aftercare of her piercing. But Cindy was great and carefully explained the process of what happens when you get a piercing and why the aftercare and downsizing is so important! I think we both glazed over the details on her piercing day because of the excitement! Cindy is very knowledgeable and professional and helped us greatly. And most importantly, I’m thankful she was so kind and didn’t make us feel bad for messing up! 😊

Sadu is the best place to go if you want quality piercings and service. I cannot speak highly enough of this business. Glenn was awesome, knowledgeable and listened to my needs and wants to help me find the right piercing.

Lucy is amazing at what she does. She’s the only person I trust with any of my piercings. She makes sure you are very educated on the piercings and caring for it. She doesn’t just pierce you and go, which I love. I drive an hour to see her. It’s definitely worth it!

So happy with my experience purchasing jewelry here! I visited this piercing and jewelry studio last week. I purchased several new pieces and to be honest, I spent more than I intended to, but Im not mad about it--let me tell you why: the quality, selection, guidance, and service are unmatched. Ive bought body jewelry for my several piercings at many other studios, and none compare. First of all, the selection at Sadu is amazing. There are so many options, and they are all very high quality and well-made. They dont sell cheap mall jewelry. Their pieces are sophisticated, dazzling, and top of the line. They sell real gold, diamonds, and other various stones, and their titanium jewelry selection is also very nice if youre looking for something with a smaller budget. They have so much more than the everyday, run-of-the-mill selection you find at tattoo shops. Secondly, the service I received from the gentleman who helped me, Glen, was superb. He is knowledgable about the jewelry they carry and really worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted. He spent quality time with me and made me feel valued as a customer, showing me many pieces and answering all my questions--he also has a great personality and sense of humor! I kept wavering on the pieces I really wanted because I wasnt sure if I was ready to spend the money, but he took his time with me and showed me other options, and encouraged me to do what I felt was right for me. He never made me feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. I did end up purchasing the higher-priced items I fell in love with, and I dont regret it at all. My new jewelry is beautiful and one of a kind, and I was given the time and attention to make the decision that was right for me with the guidance of a knowledgable, fun, and PATIENT sales clerk. This wasnt my first visit to Sadu, but it was absolutely my favorite experience with the staff. To sum up this long review: the jewelry at Sadu is unmatched in quality and design, its a fair price for the high-end product it is, and sales clerk Glen deserves all the praise (and probably a raise haha) for a great purchasing experience. As always, Ill return to Sadu again next time Im in town... maybe for a new piercing or two this time!

Overall, my experience was awesome. My sister and I went in to get her helix pierced and my tragus done. I was so impressed by the friendliness of the girl working up front and how much she knew about all of the jewelry as well as what to expect from our chosen piercings. I also would absolutely recommend Lucy for a piercing. She was amazing. She told us everything that would happen and made me feel calm and relaxed during the whole piercing. The only thing that my sister and I were both confused/unhappy about was the pricing. At the time we got there, we were told the earring cost INCLUDED the piercing fee of $30. After we chose our jewelry and it was time to checkout, we saw that there was the cost of our jewelry, the piercing fee, and the backing fee (which hasn’t been explained prior to payment). I wasn’t thrilled with the cost but let it slide because it was something I’ve been wanting for a long time. I just wish we would have been more well-informed at the time prior to us waiting and paying.

I had an amazing experience today at Sadu. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Cindy is the best piercer in Charlotte Period ! Yes, the wait is long but definitely worth it. I will never get a piercing anywhere else. I highly recommend.

Everyone was very informative and chill. They made me feel so comfortable, so I wasn’t scared to get my nose pierced. Very clean and if you never got a piercing this place is great!
