This place has a really cool vibe. They speak Spanish and English, and did a great job with my double helix piercing. The price was perfect! Another place would have charged me double. They only take cash or cashapp!

The owner is super rude. Do not recommend. Its really easy to treat someone with kindness. After talking to my friends about the experience they said they had a similar experience with him.

I see some of the reviews on this shop that are poor reviews, however.. This shop is AMAZING. My neck tattoo, arm tattoos I have from him are great. The only ones that arent are the ones I did not have done by Derick himself. They are from different shops and because of that I no longer will go to anyone else. He fixed my snakebites and my ear piercings done by another shop. I seen reviews saying hes not on time.. Granted, maybe you dont always get into the shop when desired but he has a tight schedule and tries to please everyone. This man does not rush his work and that should be appreciated if anything. Some appointments may take longer. As the artist youd have to take into account placement, the healing process of where its going and etc.. He does this. He will not do a tattoo if he knows its not going to hold up. As far as personality goes, he has a strong one! The owner isnt rude by any means. He is great and I highly reccomend this place!

Great little shop with a friendly little shop owner! Hes tatted but as sweet as pie. I stumbled upon his shop while leaving the Panda Express across the street and came in while he was working on a tattoo piece and asked if he was available for nose piercing that night. Though he couldnt get to me that night he promised to get me in the following morning. I came back and he got me in and out in 10 min flat!❤

Very great experience. I have been going here for about 5+ months now and things have been wonderful. Atmosphere is peaceful and Derek and Amanda really take care of you no matter what your getting done. Very professional and both are crazy crazy talented. Plus as a customer its really refreshing knowing that not only do they know how to work with the spectrum of all skin shades but they think of how the art will look 15 to 20 years down the road. This is a place where you dont have to worry about anything at all. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

My experiences at Crown have simply been AMAZING. Derek not only sang softly to me while he tattooed me, but he rubbed my feet afterward and held me while I cried. Im totally kidding. Seriously though, Derek and Amanda are both incredibly talented artists and very easy to communicate with. Ive had work done from both of them, and its always a wonderful experience.

I made an appointment for a cover up of an old tattoo and not only did he deliver what I requested he outshined beyond my expectations! I am so in love with my tattoo! He was patient with me and kept conversation to keep me distracted from the pain which I truly appreciated. I am going back for every tattoo I get and I already have 2 lined up that I want. He has a customer for life with me!

Worse tattoo i got by some women named amanda she tattooed on my hair line so when the hair grows in you wont be able to see the entore name now i have to see about laser removal a cover up or and some type of fade on the side due to her huge error i dont suggest any goes to this shop

I absolutely love Derrick’s work!! He’s a great artist and very reasonable pricing! I went to another shop wanting a coverup on my hand and the guy quoted me $150 and said it would take an hour and a half. I called Derrick the next day, he told me to come right then and only charged me $55 and it took him about 25-30. I would recommend anyone to go check him out.

Let me start by saying I am very pleased with the ink laid down at crown. I started my day by looking for a shop that was open on Jan 1. I went to all the well known shops in Charlotte of which 2 of them I had the pleasure of getting ink laid at a high price tag. When I entered crown the first impression was this is a hole in the wall shop not some were I want to get a tattoo but he was Laying a chest piece on a guy . I really didnt like what the guy was getting but to each their own. I was interested in the artists line work. He was clean and fluid. I then showed him what I wanted and without hesitation he said he can do it with a bit of excitement then told me the price and I was sold. Still skeptical I came back and was very happy with the result. Thank you 👑 I still have enough in budget for next tattoo.
