My husband and I walked in on a Saturday for me to get nipple piercings, and got in within 20 minutes. I was TERRIFIED, but Ben made me feel WAY better about everything. I was in the open tattoo parlor (not in a private room) and there were only men. Every single person was respectful and not once looked at me with my shirt off. Ben walked me through every single step and made me feel at ease. It honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought! I highly recommend this place for piercings!!!

Tonight I had the spur of a moment idea to get my nipples pierced. My husband did a quick Google search of places close to us and found this shop. After a quick phone call, they accepted me as a walk in. Ben was my piercer. He was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. He took the time to make sure everything was even and straight and that I was happy with his marks before he pierced them. Thankfully he was fast and efficient, especially with it being a rather sensitive area.

I had my nose pierced recently at the Noda location by Erin. She did an amazing job! I cant express enough how professional and efficient she was in ensuring my nose was pierced correctly and that I was happy on where exactly to do it. I literally felt nothing! All I felt was pressure on my nose but I never felt the needle and when she inserted the jewelry I also barely even felt that. She has a good hand at what she does! Go to Erin for sure 😊

My friend Cearra and I went into today to get a navel piercing and a rook piercing! 510 has always been the cleanest, most professional shop i’ve ever gotten tattoos/piercings at, and the staff is always super genuine & down to earth. Our piercer today was Erin and she was amazing. So very kind, extremely sterile, and extremely helpful! I also purchased a tragus ring for my old piercing that i have had for years and she put it in for me. Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend 510 in general, and Erin for sure as a wonderful piercer!

I had an appointment to get two piercings from Erin. I had never gotten a body piercing before and she made me feel safe and comfortable. The piercing was more painful than I’d anticipated so I was only able to get one, but Erin assured me that even though my appointment was for two piercings, it was totally fine if I wasn’t up for getting both. I’ll definitely be going back to get the other in the future.Regarding atmosphere and cleanliness, there’s art everywhere. The shop is tastefully cluttered, but not junky or messy. Because of COVID, the shop is taking appointments only. All of the staff were masked (as was I), and they didn’t have anyone in the waiting area. The needles and jewelry were in sterile packages, which I know is standard practice, but it’s still nice to see.Overall, the shop had nice atmosphere and was clean without feeling sterile or impersonal. The staff were all really friendly and Erin, my piercer, was friendly and supportive. She made me feel comfortable and safe, and didn’t pressure me to get the other piercing I came in for when she noticed how I reacted to the first one. I’m excited to return to the shop, and since it’s accessible by light rail, it’ll be my first choice for any other piercings I want to get.

Got my first tattoo today from Matt at 510 Expert Tattoo and I LOVE it!! Matt was very nice and patient with me, as I was rather nervous. I really wanted this tattoo though because both the triple infinity and the saying have very special/ personal meaning to me. Matt did a great job! The shop had a good vibe and I felt comfortable there. I definitely recommend!

Amazingly friendly and fun staff, clean, fast, and easy. Septum piercing was done correctly and fast, they even let me take a picture as most places dont allow pictures or recordings. Only place doing septums during covid and are clean about it too!

Got tattooed by Tom on a multi-session piece. He was hospitable and the staff was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Also, if youre a foodie there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Brandon Naples did the art for me. He did an excellent job with the design. I gave him the starting point and a very specific idea. I asked him to embellish around that. I probably should have asked, but I was super excited about the tattoo and forgot. Got pierced by Sage. She was so kind and accommodating. Id had my navel pierced several times before at other places and somehow they always messed it up. Sage pierced mine perfectly and went through the aftercare instructions very thoroughly and made sure I understood everything. I would absolutely go here and get pierced by her again.

I’ve gone here for ALL my piercings and one tattoo. Had my nipples and VCH first same day. Quick and easy, surprisingly hilarious. Had them removed from a car accident. Just went back yesterday for the same re piercing and it was quick again. It hurt and I questioned my life for a decade, but they’re great!!

Ever since I moved to Charlotte 4 years ago, Ive only gone to 510. This is the best tattoo shop in the city. Clean place, great artists and reasonably priced. I will not go anywhere else. I love this place.

Ive known Mark and Wayne for many years and they are both good guys and great artists! Mark has probably done 90% of the tattoos I have and would recommend him or anyone at his shops to do any type of style you wish. 510 shops are clean, laid back and all around good atmosphere

I recently went in to get new jewelry for my Monroe and Joseph was incredible. He was super gentle and very quick and the price was extremely reasonable. Everyone that was there was super friendly and helpful. He didnt actually pierce my Monroe but if I decide to get anything else pierced I will definitely be going back. You wont be disappointed if you choose them :D

I got my nose pierced a few weeks ago here. Super clean, friendly, professional and quick! No appointment but no wait. Quick, painless and easy. Michael took me as a walk-in last night for a nose piercing, and he was excellent. I hadnt had my nose pierced for 6 years, so I was nervous to have it redone again because the last time I had it pierced, it was pretty painful.Michael took the time to measure and trim my seamless hoop, and also showed me what it would look like without me prompting him. My daughter was super worried about getting her ears pierced and Ben did a great job making her feel ok with the process and loved it. They did suck a great job my wife and mother in law got their ears repierced. I also got my first Tattoo from Zack. Nothing crazy but he was great and did a fantastic job!

Was one of the first people to be tattooed in the new South End shop by Dom Flood. Loved the venue, very comfortable and clean but the thing that stood out to me most was the care taken by Dom and the rest of the staff to make sure everything went great and even making changes as we go to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with their work. 1000/10, would recommend to everyone.

I came here to get my second tattoo, the beginning of my half sleeve. I was pretty picky about where I would go because I wanted something new - a watercolor looking tattoo. Its located in NoDa across from a yummy taco place. I was tattooed by Mark, who paid a lot of attention to what I wanted and executed it pretty perfectly. The studio is clean and well lit, not too sketchy, and the prices are great. They dont make it awkward at all, and they give you good conversation, but its difficult to stay still because all you want to do is laugh. Its like theyre working for friends rather than a client. Im definitely going to continue going there for my tattoo and piercings as long as I live in Charlotte. Very happy!

Getting tattooed is a life decision. I have had many experiences, some good and some bad. There are 2 things that you must consider when choosing a shop. First, the quality of artist. Second, the environment of the shop. If there is tension and discord, you will not have a good experience and will associate your tattoo with that. At 510 Expert they have not only the best artist, but the best atmosphere. I have many tattoos, and after searching for a long time, I have finally found the shop that I call home. All the artists are at the top of their game, and the atmosphere of the shop is laid back and friendly. Its the only place I will go.

I flew from California to N.C. to visit my Girlfriend and she decided while in Charlotte that she wanted to get a medical alert logo tattooed on her arm so we went to 501 Expert Tattoo shop. The artist there were very friendly. After I seen the Great job that Evan had done I decided to get inked myself. I was dead set against getting any color on mine because I like black and grey style, but Evan convinced me to add some red to it and wow he was right. I will be going back for more ink!!!!!!!
