Probably good beer, poor service. Walked in, asked bartender what he would recommend, I asked to taste it, they stated no free sample and crossed his arms. Not even offering an alternative to paying for a sample before I committed to something I may not like. I simply walked out, other places are happy to ensure I enjoy my beverage. I love craft beer, but not from here!

Great craft beer and atmosphere. The staff is so friendly and super knowledgeable about their craft beer selection. Ketan, the owner, recommended a hazy IPA which I really enjoyed. Ill be back again to try something new next time.

Excellent place to drink something and meet new people and have a good time

The place itself was great. The staff was friendly. I did buy two overpriced 4 packs (compared to other local bottle shops). Aside from that my only complaint is there was no baby changer in the restroom. In a young town with outgoing families, this should be a staple.

Best bottle shop in all of Charlotte. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that always makes great recommendations. The selection is top shelf (Burial, New Anthem, Resident Culture, High Branch, Heist, etc). From IPAs to Stouts to Sours and everything in between - including a nice selection of wine. Great outdoor patio space. Truly a neighborhood gem.

I chose this as the location for a work happy hour and we really liked it. We sat outside on one of the larger couches. There was also some seating inside. They have a large selection of craft beer and one cider on tap in addition the the large assortment of bottles they have (some refrigerated, some not). It was quiet outside which was nice because it was easy to have a conversation. They staff was very friendly and occasionally came out to check on us. They have a few light snacks available, but they also let you bring food from the nearby businesses (Blaze Pizza, Bulgogi Box, and Fidelli Kitchen are all right there). They’re pet friendly - there were a few dogs on the patio outside. This is definitely a place I would come back to.

Great spot with a huge selection of craft beer. They also have a great wine selection as well. The owner is always very positive and energetic along with his staff. I also love that they are VERY dog friendly. The hours are great they don’t kick you out haha. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who wants an after work beer!

Pop the Top is the best go to spot in clt for craft beer. Both great in state and out of state selections in both draft and canned forms.

I love this wonderful bottle shop! Has the best selection of North Carolina and South Carolina brews, so its prefect to bring visiting family and friends so they can get a taste of the Carolinas! Service is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable! Dog friendly with not only water bowls, but dog chew toys, and even locally made dog friendly ice cream! You can also go to any of the surrounding restaurants, and bring in any food you may way while enjoying your beer! This place is such a treat, and a great addition to the neighborhood!

They have the best selection of beer (to go) in be city! So many cold options in the fridge and even more on the shelves. I love that they now have a build a six pack Option.The patio is super relaxing and really dog friendly. There’s always great beers on tap too.

Has been my go to since they opened, and deserve as many accolades as possible for their great selection of cans, bottles, and draft, as well as for their outstanding service and ability to build community around beer. If you have the chance, come to one of their phenomenal bottle shares.

Nice selection of local beers, both on draft and in cans/bottles. Nice little patio to enjoy outside. Only con for me is most of the to-go packages are not single can/bottle options (they do have a single-door cooler with singles). I look forward to places where I can buy a single can or bottle of anything in the store.

Not one of the best beer stops in Charlotte but its hidden and theres never really a crowd there quality beers I know some of the bartenders so Im a little biased but its a pretty good place If youve never been there and you can find this place I recommend stopping in

Great little craft beer bar/bottle shop! The owner travels to breweries all over NC to get beer. You wont find some of these breweries anywhere else in Charlotte. From Raleigh to Wilmington and Asheville. Bartenders are knowledgeable and willing to help you find a beer you will enjoy drinking. Come in and say hi to Ketan, super nice guy!

We went in not knowing anything about Charlotte. The selection of beer is great and the atmosphere is even better. Its a quiet place to go on a week night. Katan is knowledgeable about the beer and the city and is an all around great guy. If I could give this place six stars, I would.

Second time Ive been here. Not sure how it could have been made better, but I was wrong. The owner and the employees are so knowledgeable and nice. There is something there for everyone be it wine, kombucha, porters, or IPAs. Check out their Twitter for events with breweries. Would highly recommend this place on your Charlotte beer tour!

What sets apart this bottle shop from all the others in this city is that while everywhere else, except for Salud, you will get a solid mix of beer from all the same breweries - here you will get a great selection of NC beers that are not distributed in Charlotte. The owner drives out and picks up beer from all over the state, which means you can get some great beer from Raleigh and the seacoast that you cant get anywhere else. For this reason alone, Pop the Top is in my Top 3 favorite bottle shops in Charlotte, and with how many of them there are, thats saying something.
