Great experience! Took my car yesterday for what I thought was a bad power steering pump. Turns out there was nothing wrong. Jordan was very honest and didnt try to sell me things I didnt need.

Tammie is charming and a pleasure to talk to. Also, there are dogs! Dazzle was hanging out in the waiting area with me. 😁

Do not take your vehicle to this so called automotive repair shop. They have and still do charge customers for repairs, parts and or both that are not needed or not even performed. I know from experience and from the reviews below they practice this often.

I can’t believe they took Advantage of my friend Dustin like that do. And on top of that the owner was very rude and defensive on the phone after the fact. They made a wrong diagnosis that cost him a lot of money and would not own up to it. I would definitely take my business elsewhere if I were anybody else!

It is rare these days to find a business that has a low turnover and is trustworthy and takes pride in their work. Starmount Automotive is that rare gem. Located off South Blvd, on Emorywood, near Food Lion, this is a place a single woman can bring her car and KNOW she is not going to be ripped off just because she is a woman. Rare to find in the autoservice world. Have been taking our cars to them for over 20 years and that is why. They know what they are doing and they do it with class and courtesy and great service!

Worst place Ive ever been to.Not only did they fix something on my car but they did other work to it without telling me first and then I go to pay and its way more then we talked about so that really upset me. .then I find out it never even needed to be fixed it was something else. . so I would never ever ever bring my car here if I were you. Its is over priced the owner or manager who ever he is, is so rude, does not listen, does whatever he wants and then wont own up to his mistakes, this is the worst place Ive ever been.You can not trust anything about this place.Im beyond SHOCKED they have any 5 stars or any busniss.I hope no one goes threw what I and my other half had to. .Starmount you should just close your shop before more people try to take you to court besides me..I can see another male is doing the same.Thanks for the worst job ever .

This business has a heart and cares about people. I work for a church close by and I had a very sweet elderly lady who was stranded and had car trouble. I called them and explained the situation and they did not hesitate. They said they would be right down. They drove down and figured out what was wrong and helped solve her problem. Very, Very nice and honest!!! A great choice!

Performed unauthorized work. Took car in for an ac check and they put frion in it without consulting me first and charged me 200 bucks. Ripoff, would never recommend!!

I am in the process of hiring a lawyer and reporting to the local news station. The first time I took my car to starmount they told me I needed my ECM computer chip replaced. They told me it was gonna run me 1191$. I accepted only because I had no other option although I really didnt have the money. A few days later they call me and tell me my car is ready but the total I had to pay was 1576$. I asked why it had increased and they told me because their were unforseen circumstances that complicated it. I argued and we negotiated but I still paid over 1300 dollars. Then when I pick it up..its still not working. They charge it for 30 minutes while I sit in the parking lot. 10 days later my car breaks down. I take it back to them thinking they made a minor mistake. They call me and tell me now its my alternator. 815$ they say. I tell them no thanks and have it towed to someone I trust more who will do it for 350 instead of 800$+. So the new mechanic finished my car and calls me to tell me that he replaced the alternator but it still wont start. He says he will figure out whats really wrong for 75I say go aheadHe finds out all it was was a faulty wire that he replaced for free and just charged me additional labor. 75+150. I purchased the part. The part I never even needed for 250. He also informed me that theres a good chance I never needed the ECM chip in the first place. So I called starmount and spoke to the owner, aired all my grievances. His attitude got progressively worse. He actually had the nerve to tell me he would replace my old alternator since there was nothing wrong with it but I HAD TO STAND THERE AND WATCH THE WHOLE TIME. Since I thought they were such a bunch of crooks.Easily the most offensive sentence Ive ever heard out of a professional.All in all Im out 1350$ for original work.75$ for the 2nd tow from triple AAA150$ for unnecessary labor to fix a false diagnosis.250$ for an alternator I never even needed.Thanks Starmount. You really opened my eyes to the utter deception and evil intent of the automotive repair industry. Oh and btw, he hung up on me after I told him to have a good day.
