This place is amazing!! My car was shaking pretty bad when i would accelerate and was making some loud noises underneath the car when i turned or accelerated. I was worried that it was going to be a crazy expensive repair, and also that parts would take a while due to the back orders going on with covid. Within 24 hours of dropping off my car, they gave me a very reasonable estimate, had my car fixed (and changed the oil!), and even helped me get my car home due to my work schedule making it difficult. They also somehow fixed my radio which has been broken for 6 months while having it! I will highly recommend these folks to anyone needing car work! You guys rock!!!
I LOVE Carpenters because I can trust them to do the maintenance or repair properly and they dont recommend service that is not needed. Ive had terrible experience at my dealer, at a major chain and a local chain. I recommend Carpenters to everyone I know because they are the best! No fancy waiting area, no free coffee: just great mechanics who are fair and deliver what they promise when they say they will.

This visit was my second time visiting them and they did amazing work. I first spoke with Ms Renee and was extremely helpful. This shop is right in my neighborhood and wouldnt want to go anywhere else. Everyone is so personable, kind and professional. The mechanics even came out and talked to me as well and future things to look out for. I was and am highly appreciative.

Loved how speedy this service shop was at my oil change and state inspection. Infact, they got me in the next day for an inspection when other places couldnt get me in till the following week. I think I spoke with Renee on the phone who was lovely and prompt. The gentlemen at the counter were the first, to not talk down to me being a woman and assuming I know nothing about cars. Instead, they were professional and answered any questions I had. I encourage you to try this auto service shop! Great thing about it, its only minutes my from my house! Amazing place and service. My family has been coming here since 1997, never gone anywhere else unless it was a free repair for a manufacturer recall. They never force repairs on you or magically invent new problems with your vehicle they way other mechanics do. They do good work and stand by it.

Just....wow. I had originally gone to my Ford dealership to get a windshield wiper problem checked out. I had read the good reviews about Carpenters prior to this and decided I would get a second opinion from them. I am sure glad I did. The Ford dealership had misdiagnosed the problem (on a Ford vehicle) - by bringing it to Carpenters I saved over $400 in what would have been unnecessary repair work. Do yourself, your vehicle, and your wallet a favor; visit Carpenters first or at the very least get a second opinion from them, its well worth it.Beyond that event, everybody I met was friendly and extremely knowledgeable - theyll tell you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and what they need to do to fix it. I was not pressured to buy any other services, and they had diagnosed and fixed my car in under a day.TL/DR: Save yourself time and money, visit Carpenters first.

This was complete honest work done on my Mercedes.mechanic like to charge according to the car you drive.carpenter check my car for defects observe by another shop.they found no defects and they did not charge me which they could have.I have four vehicle and carpenter have work on three they will get the fourth soon for a brake job.
This is one of those rare deals where you walk away feeling soiled! Ive owned dozens of vehicles from Porsches to motorhomes so Ive been in a few repair shops. 4+ stars? Really? I brought in an 08 Dodge Caravan for an estimate on a small coolant leak repair. After looking at the vehicle, he quoted a price of $57 which my wife and I both heard over car speaker. Hearing the low price, we asked also to have the transmission coolant replaced. His estimated price had been $200 for that. Since Blacks Auto Repair had previously given me an estimate of $195 for the same work, the price seemed reasonable. When I arrived the next day to pick up the vehicle, the total was over $500! He told me that he never told us $57, although both my wife and I heard him say it twice. The owner (I presume) said that the problem might have been that our phone connection was breaking up (at his end?) and I might have misheard him--I have hearing aids, but my wife has excellent hearing and we heard the same thing. I asked about compromising the difference in his estimate vs. the billed price, but he said he couldnt possibly do that. He did find that there was a mistake with $28 part that we were charged for that wasnt used, so he could deduct that from the price plus the tax on it. Somehow, the $257 price still ended up at $478. The refusal to admit an error in a price quote and blaming it on a poor connection or our hearing, or even compromise the difference, coupled with apparently finding a $28 mistake in our favor for an uninstalled part, really questions his integrity. Whats more surprising is the gall it takes to do this.
