Great selection of hard-to-find hardware, fasteners, materials, and tools.There is literally no reason to go to a big box hardware store in Charleston when this store has superior products at superior prices with superior staff.

Knowledgeable friendly staff always ready willing and eager to help. They have always been on point every time Ive stopped in. Their inventory is incredible. From getting a spare key chiseled to Bird feeders and everything in between this hardware store has it all. They even have a small donated book section if anyone wants to pick up or donate reading materials 📖.

They always have what I need. The people who work there are awesome and always know where to direct me when Im looking for something. Totally cool place to shop!

East Bay True Value is a great place to work! You work with a family, not a corporation! You not only get a discount on all items, but if you work full-time, you get many perks! If anyone who has customer service experience, is nice, and doesnt mind working hard, a door could be open for all endeavors! I love working here!

Nice local spot! They have a lot of stuff and the workers there know where the stuff is. I can be there in and out under 5 minutes to get a special screw or something. Masks are required and they are strick about it. Not many parking spots. Very rare do they not have enough spots. Even during peak hours.

I Love this place!!!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. A couple of times I had to come into the store get help with things such as how to run a power drill ok😝 They have anything and everything from snacks, soda & candy along with dog food. I appreciate them being in the neighborhood. Really nice guys! THXS!

If you are wondering what happened to service at hardware stores, go to East Bay. While I miss it’s former location, I’m enjoying their improved selection including garden supplies. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was it’s inventory limitations—- but I much prefer going there than the big box stores. I’m going to support this store to keep it in the community plus I think they’re worth it.

I’ve shopped here for over 30yrs! The staff is super friendly and willing to help in anyway they can! Family owned and operated, they are my neighbors and the neighborhood hardware store, too! I’m always glad the redhead at the register is there, very polite and helpful, too! Thanks!

East Bay True Value Hardware on King Street in Charleston is a reliable place to go for all things hardware in a convenient location. This store is well organized and managed and it is easy to find exactly what you are looking for for your project. I have had a really good experience shopping here and have been well satisfied with all of my purchases.

The place to go when you just need one specialty item or dont want to make the almost 2 hour round trip to Lowes or home depot. Small stores, only a few employees, but they have the item you need and the employees know where everything is. Personalized and friendly service, you are in and out in no time and back to finishing your project. 5 stars!

Went in the other day and asked for a mask, I put it on while walking towards the section I needed and was scolded not to take another step.When I went to check out was yelled at again by the clerk about it not being on my nose. Indont mind wearing a mask but the girl was yelling and screaming at me about it and pointing at the door yelling to get out..She seemed very abusive and a little unhinged about everything and talked to me like a dog.Its alot more in detail but I dont feel like typing it all. I understand her concern but the way she was acting was very bizzare and unprofessional..Im still a human and should be shown just the bare minimum of human decency

My go-to for every project I work on, as well as my garden. Helpful, knowledgable employees, nice selection, good location. They have an outdoor garden center (soon to have a greenhouse), tools, home supplies, electrical, wood, paint, all the regular hardware store things. Plus a drink and ice cream cooler. Id way rather go here than any big box hardware store.

I will no longer do any kind of Business with these people over a $4 tool. I have shopped there for years and will never shop there unless it isthe last option. I have been buying plumbing materials for my business i own for years and will no longer! I proudly support local companies.....but no longer this one! FYI to the owner me or someone from my company shopped there at least 5 to 10 times a weeks. No more $$$ from us!

Fantastic place where I find all I need and more! Went to shop furniture for my garden and ended up buying a rocking chair with suitable table and a delicious day baked pie.

The staff here is immensely helpful. Every time I have gone into this store someone has shown me where to look for what Im searching for and often times helped me come up with an even better solution. Its always a very personal experience. You feel like they know you, unlike larger hardware stores. Prices are very fair and there has always been a parking spot available. In response to a previous review, I have had between 5-6 keys made here and never had an issue with any of them.

Always helpful. Always friendly. Always know the location of everything. Great at knowing what youre looking for when you dont know what its called and you cant describe it well.

I tried to return an item any was treated like i was trying to scam them. Luckily the item was inexpensive. I certainly would not trust buying trust buying anything from them that costs more than a couple bucks. I would have recieced much better service from a box store.
