Staff (and management?) needs training on proper mask wearing.#1 You need to have one.#2 IF you have one on, it needs to cover your mouth AND nose -- not be on the top of your head, or under your chin. Isnt working otherwise!#3 IF you have one on, and its on, it should STAY on when talking. Isnt working otherwise. !

I go to the grocery store late to avoid interaction with others, it doesn’t really make sense to close self checks so early. They used to close at 10, and I tend to leave a little earlier so I can use the self checks but I guess they close at 9 now :/ kinda getting old with the limited availability on a lot of items as well.

I ordered an assortment of meat, veggie,and fruit trays from the deli on June 25, 2021 for an after funeral small gathering. The trays were gorgeous and delicious! I was very pleased. Thank you very much!Kathy Kracht

Their vegetable and fish section are very good. They do have wide variety of products. Besides, they provide money order services, western union service etc. They have the coinstar. Overall, all these make it a convenient place to shop.

I love my County Market, but can someone please teach the checkers how to bag and how much to put in each. Not all of us are weight lifters

Treating your employees to a self made PB&J sandwich for employee appreciation is a slap in the face. Do not work here, you will be a slave to these people. They do not care about you.

I love to go to County Market. Their bakery, deli and meat department are much better quality than any other store in Charleston. If the prices were just a little lower, I would shop there all the time. Plus it always smells so good when you go in!😋

I love the produce, bakery, and meat counter. The staff is always helpful. The store is always clean and welcoming. I love that they have a mezzanine that offers a place to sit down and eat what you buy from the deli. There is free wifi access. I think its great to have something like this for the community but mostly a place off campus that the EIU students can go to and be in a clean safe environment.

The store is well organized. The products are fresh. The prices are a little high so I shop their sales.

Disappointing selection. Produce was the biggest letdown. Well probably try this location again on a weekday rather than a Sunday.

Overpriced outdated items. Produce is always rotten. They do not stand behind their products would not exchange strawberries that were covered in mold a few days after purchasing. Very rude employee by the name of Armilla employees are incompetent and lazy .

I like County Market. Its a good store.

Horrible customer service from the girl working in the meat department. She raised her voice at someone while he was ordering for no apparent reason. The man in front of me was very confused because he had simply ordered some steaks to which she snapped back aggressively saying that he was yelling at her. She didn’t apologize for her aggressive service and continued to disrespect him. All around disgusting service and I hope management talks to her about her attitude.

Wide selection of food options; the bakery and deliboptions are good as well. The upstairs section has tables and couches and is a great place to hang out or study. Very family friendly. Free wifi is available as well!

Friendly helpful staff. Aisles are clearly labeled which makes shopping easier. Wonderful produce section and deli. Definitely check out their meatpacking. The store is always clean and items are usually easy to locate, bit if you have difficulty the staff is always extremely helpful in assisting you locating your item.

I have been shopping at Wilb Walkers for the majority of my life, calling it County Market just takes away the hometown feel for me. And corporate jacked up all the prices

I love county Market, Charleston. All of their meats and seafoods are fresh. There is also an area of liquor on sideway too. 1 stop shopping. They usually have weekly specials. I enjoy the seafood specials. Fresh shrimp and Salmon...yummy!

Good value on meals but groceries are a bit high. Stick to the Essentials label and use thier club card to take advantage of values. They are also in Penny Pinchet

What the heck happened to the catfish on the fish Friday? The fillets where about the size of a hot dog & about that skinny...very disappointed & wanted to take it back but kinda far so ill just never order fish there again

It was my birthday and they had what I wanted ice cream, donuts, cupcakes and ice cream mochi. I recommend this place for almost anything 👌.

This is Gem in Charleston. I just moved to town from San Diego where I buy all Organic and clean food. I was never going to Charleston thinking i was not going to find what I eat at home. Definately was shocked to find that this Market carries all the ingridients to keep trying to live a healthy lifestyle.

I normally have very positive experiences with County Market. Today was my first negative experience. My daughter purchased two one pound packages of hamburger. It was fresh, red hamburger all around the slab of meat in both packages. When I cut into the hamburger, the inside was totally gray, brown with just a thin layer of red surrounding it to make each package look fresh. No one would ever buy the obviously old meat that was in the inside. This was intentionally deceiving customers.

Poor service very hi prices

Any time (many times) they’re out of my type of cigarettes at the beer checkout, instead of offering to get some brought back from the front counter. They try to finish ringing me up and send me on my way. When I ask if they can just have some brought back from the front counter I’m told I can go up front after this purchase and / or I get the argument that they’ll have to write it down and it’ll take a few minutes. Do they not want that extra money? I’d really rather not have to make another stop on the way home. But apparently customer service is of their concern.

I work at a Meijer in il. And I thought the attendant at deli was very rude there were two of us and we bought two dinners I ask for a paper towel that was all I got .the food was burned or at least dryed out and it was almost twelve noon so should of been a good time the clerk in store werent friendly either store was very cute just a shame the employees werent very nice

Slighly on the expensive side but have a ton of products.I enjoy shopping here somedays but only becasue I rather support my community with out the mega retailer walmart.Always enjoy the organic section and i was able to find a hanging basket of flowers for my front porch.Overall its a great place with good hygeine. The large selection of organic items and produce make it easy to go all organic from soap, laudry detergent, baby diapers.My favorite organic items are tea, laundry soap, and baby puffs.

Somewhat good selection of items throughout the store. Some items are quite a bit more expensive then other stores. Great sales though. Most employees are friendly and helpful, but there always seems to be a big turnover in staff.

This County Market is always neat and clean. The staff is welcoming and helpful. They have great food in their deli and bakery section. I highly recommend their fresh, fried chicken. They also have an awesome health food section with plenty of options for people who have food intolerances they need alternatives for or are on a specific diet such as gluten free, vegan, etc. The prices are decent, they always have sales and have their own coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons. One can also apply for a loyalty card that can give you discounts, chances to win prizes and raise funds towards local schools. The store is in a great location, near EIU, pharmacies, Starbucks, restaurants, etc. Another cool thing about this particular County Market is that there is an upstairs area with seating and tables, free WiFi and conference rooms for people to use. Its near the bathrooms and one can get a great view from the windows 😁

I used their online ordering service to send food to my son. Price shown online was $1.48 per apple. I was charged $4.66 and no refunds or compromises were made or offered. DO NOT make the same mistake and use this service to send food to your college students! BTW, this was after the produce manager talked me out of sending a fruit basket which was going to cost $21 for 11 pieces.

My fiance went to go get smokes and the guy in front of him all the cashier guy ask was birthday. Why cant he ask him for a ID. He bought smokes and beer. My fiance is 25 year old.

Make sure you get to the deli and bakery. Fresh stuff out daily. The meat/fish has inventive selections out, too. A bacon cheddar burger patty. Decent produce and a good enough whole foods area. Not the cheapest, but maybe higher quality.

Yesterdays meat. I buy all that they have Everytime I go. The produce is outstanding and the bakery is top notch. The deli has really good choices and the meat Dept in general is worth waiting in line for.

Pro: Employers are always friendly and helpfulCons: Lots of false advertising on prices. Items on the shelf will be marked as on sale, but then these prices are not reflected in actual checkout. I can’t help but think it’s done on purpose in hopes that customers don’t notice the decrepancy at the checkout, because this has been an ongoing problem in my experience.Have also had problems with buying things only to realize that they were WELL past the expiration date. This was particularly irritating when it happened with medicine I purchased!
