We set up an appointment to get a measurement and final estimate about two or three weeks ago for a job in Gallipolis, OH (we received a preliminary estimate over the phone). The day before they called at 2:45 to confirm the appointment at 10:00 the following day. So I take off work and am sitting there waiting for the appointment. The clock hits 10:20 and I figure they must be running behind, so I call. Lady answers the phone and passes me to a gentleman. He says, “oh yeah, I meant to call you this morning. The owner decided that was too far to go for a smaller job.” He asked me the footage again, I told him it was about 175 feet of privacy fence and then I just kept getting madder and madder. I told him just not to worry about it, wished him a good day, and hung up. But then I just keep stewing. Had to take a day off work only to get stood up by these jackwagons. It’s not as if my house magically moved itself from the time I made the appointment, to the time they called to confirm I would be there the day before, to the time they decided it was really just too far. I took the other one star reviews with a grain of salt, maybe thinking the five star reviews must balance them out some. Welp, joke’s on me. What a terrible company to do something like that. Man, it is hard to find reliable contractors around here. Long story short, I would not recommend this fence company. And if the owner of the fence company by some chance reads this, let me say from the bottom of my heart that YOU SUCK!

I spoke with Peggy who was very professional and friendly. I received my quote within a week of when the guy came out to measure. Very happy with the quote. I then added an additional request and they were out the next day. Again, quote came in at a reasonable price. I was informed that it would be a few weeks for install, which was fine. I spoke with James, who was friendly and knowledgeable. He informed me that the guys would be out on Monday to begin the job. Shawn and Robbie did an AWESOME job and we are very happy with the results. A huge thank you to Peggy, James, Shawn & Robbie. We couldnt be happier. Thank you McNeil Fencing!!!

We had them come out and measure for an estimate on a fence install around our driveway. Since we were having concrete poured we were also installing electrical conduit for lighting and wanted to put lighting on most of the fence posts. We asked them to mark where they would be putting the posts so that we could install the conduit to align with the posts. After the office person telling us the date that they would be here to measure they didnt show. James with mcneil fence informed us that the office person told us the wrong date and that it would be a week before they could be out to measure despite us having scheduled concrete to be poured based upon their schedule which we were provided. They ultimately marked the post spacing and we set the conduit to match. After installation several of the fence posts were several inches from were we were told they would be installed with one post being 6 inches from where it was marked to be installed. Overall i would not recommend this company to anyone. We used them still because they were the only company who could install within a reasonable timeframe but i now wish that we had waited and used another company.

In Charleston WV this is the best place for fence materials. The have the nicest, and most informative people working there.

I requested an estimate for fencing. Someone came on May 14, 2020 to look at where I wanted the fence. I told him where I wanted it. He said I will e mail you an estimate tomorrow. I verified my e mail. It is now June 12 and Im still waiting on the estimate. If the company couldnt or didnt want to put up the fence in the area I wanted it someone could have told me. I wanted 60 ft of fence in a straight line. I would not recommend this company!

Needed a broken post replaced on a privacy fence. James of McNiel Fence told me he would be here on Friday to repair. Spoke to him on phone Friday and he said they could not make it and that they would be here on Saturday morning. James texted me on Saturday morning and said he could not make it that he would have to call me on Monday. Office lady at McNiel told me she didnt know anything about the repairs. I told McNiel fence that I would no longer need there service. Very unprofessional company with less than honest employees.

McNeil fence and the crew are amazingly awesome people and I I greatly enjoy their professional work and friendly customer service.

We had someone come measure but no one would return our call to give us the estimate cost. Reading other reviews on here, it seems this is common practice for this company. I’m not sure why they even bothered to waste our time and theirs.

Poor customer service. Man came and took measurements. Never called me back. I called them twice over two months . Always said someone would contact me with more details, they never did. I finally gave up.

I only gave them 1 star because I can’t give them zero. For three months they have been telling me they will try to get to my job next week. But next week never comes. If they didn’t want to do my job they should have told me up front.
