Staff very courteous and attentive. They were all very professional but laughed and joked to make you feel welcome. Doctor spent time with me and explained everything she was going to do to me. Addressed all my concerns. Highly recommend.

Excellent overall experience. The service was the red carpet treatment. This was the first eye exam I have had in 20 years, and I could not have picked a better place. And, I will go here for all of my future eye needs. I didnt need glasses, but they have a very good selection of eyewear to choose from. Dr. Suppa is a knowledgable optometrist. She spends time with you and explains things thoroughly. I will recommend this practice to anyone for their exams and eye care.

Everyone at this office was extremely professional, affable, and courteous. Moreover, I was quoted a specific rate and there were no hidden fees. I was uptight going in, but they made it an actual fun 90 minutes for me. I will be loyal to their office moving forward.

Charleston Vision Source is by far the best eye doctor in town. I love my visits, they always have a great selection of frames, and I leave feeling very satisfied with the service provided to me. I have been a patient for a very long time, and I will continue to be well into the future. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and always very helpful. The facility is very clean and they have up-to-date technology and options to suit whatever your needs. Highly recommended!

During COVID 19 my eye doctor shut down and went out of business. So I called around and Visions Source was willing to add me as a new patient and set me up for my exam. When i arrived i had to call from the parking lot and wear my mask. They came out, took my temperature and provided me with paperwork to complete even though someone called the day prior to get that information. I guess they still needed the paper version too. Dr Suppa was very nice and helpful. I was given the option to dilate or do the optimat which they informed me would not be covered by insurance and would cost me an additional $40. I still Chose to do the optimat. The guy helping to pick out glasses was also very helpful but was a little less forthcoming with the price of all the things he was asking to add to my glasses. They were running a promotion if u bought transition lenses you would get a free pair of sunglasses lenses if i purchased the frame. After all was said and done they hit me with a $650 price even after using my VSP vision insurance. I opted to still get them even though the price was high i had the option to not get them and choose something different. I guess My only complaint would have been for them to be more open and upfront with the cost of lenses and all the add ons as the appointment is progressing. It has been 1 week and 1 day since my appointment and i tried to call to see when my glasses would be ready as i am about to leave for the beach but they could not provide me with a date even though i was told 1 week. Just hoping i get a call soon so i dont have to drive without good glasses all the way to Destin, Fl.

I had an emergency in which I needed to see the eye doctor and Charleston Vision Source made it happen! It was my first time at the facility and everyone made me feel right at home. Dr. Rada was patient with me and explained everything thoroughly! They have very current technology and that was a blast! I would highly recommend !

5 stars for customer service. They are very nice when I have contacted them.1 star for transparency. I emailed them about their prices and it took 4 emails before I received all the possible charges I could receive even though I asked in my first email for prices associated with the eye and contact exam. I guess they don’t have to give me all the prices, but I want to be able to research about their fees well before having an appointment and not on the spot at my appointment. It would be nice if they were more forthcoming about all their fees.3 stars for pricing. They are on the more expensive side for Charleston/Kanawha City.Overall, they get 3 stars.

Dr, Suppa and the entire staff are professional and very helpful. They greet me by name when i arrive and answer all of my questions. I moved to the area three years ago and dreaded finding a new optometrist. I was very thankful to find Charleston Vision Source. You are now treating my entire family and I thank you!!!!!

I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Rada. He has always made sure that I understand what is going on during the entire exam and really looks out for his patients. I especially love that theyre willing to work with a college student who only has specific times that work for appointments. It makes my life so much easier. :)

If you want unethical billing practices and you like to pay more than you have to then this is the place for you. Dr. Rada always charges every little extra fee he can get by with to maximize his profits. He can always turn a simple straightforward contact lens exam into a very costly affair. Now hes running a scam where you have to get your annual contact lens exam every 8 months. My last exam was in May but they wont refill my contacts because they can only be purchased in a 6 month supply. So their answer is that I need to have another exam. True story. On top of this, the last time I had my exam the incompetent tech poked me in the eye by being careless. My eye hurt and I had blurred vision for days. Take your business elsewhere.

CVS does a very thorough exam, very efficiently. The staff are well trained and that keeps the various exam steps moving quickly. The doc has the best equipment that can diagnose all of your eye ailments. Contacts or specs, they have it all!

Dr. Laura Suppa is wonderful! Im very thankful for how she explained what was going on in laymans terms. She really cares about her patients!

My daughter goes here for her annual checkups, she just went in January and was diagnosed with a astigmatism and was told she would need glasses, took her the other day and they did their exam again and decided theyd finally give her glasses (had i not scheduled this follow up oer her pediatrician request, i guess she wouldve gone all year before they gave her her glasses) i have state health coverage and upon her picking out her glasses and at the very end they tell me i need to pay 87 dollars for the exam because she already had her yearly exam in January which only one is covered yearly. Not only can i not get her glasses till i pay, i feel like they waited knowing my insurance wouldnt cover another exam so soon just to get money. I know 80 something isnt alot to most but i work a minimum wage job going through college and on a fixed income, state insurance is the only government benefit i use. They didnt even really try to help with a payment plan or nothing. I dont appreciate being blindsided as well as having to wait for them to finally decide to prescribe her glasses after already having an initial diagnosis a few months ago. On top of all that their office hours are wrong, ive been calling since 8:30 which on the recording says their hours today are 8:15 to 5 and they arent answering i still keep getting the recording saying they are closed. This will be my last dealings with this optometrist. Im sure people who have better none state coverage would get treated better then us poor folks trying to make something of themselves.

People need to know that most of the positive rated reviews this company gets are fraudulent. Dr. Rada pays a PR company to make Fake reviews. Want proof? Use Truthfinder or any of the many apps that allow you to search a persons name and location. Youll find that most of his glowing 5 star reviews are from fake accounts like this one that took me 2 minutes to make. I am however a longstanding customer of his who has had enough with his overbilling and straight up incompetent staff. This man is one of the most greedy Ive encountered after living in 6 states over the last 10 years and dealing with many optometrists. Hell have his paid damage control team reply to this and dispute this review but dont be fooled. Why would anyone take the time to create an account and leave him a false bad review if they werent ripped off by him? Thats right. They wouldnt. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Loved that the negative comments on here were addressed by the owners with something that was copy and pasted saying they werent even patients there. Instead of reaching out and trying to rectify the issue they pretend they werent even clients there. Great customer service.... Dr Rada misdiagnosed me with a staph infection. I had to keep coming repeatedly week after week while he was prescribing me steroids and antibiotics because my eye was swelling shut. Every visit, even just a follow up exam was $70. Ive been other places since. No charge for a follow up to check to see how things were. Ended up spending well over $2000 at this location because of this misdiagnosis and even after coming week after week they never knew my name. Hed look at his chart, look up. Uh, Krystin? Thats me ok, lets see what brings you in today....while still looking at chart. I was just here last week, you put me on steroids oh, youre still using those? You should have only used those for two days seriously? This place should be shut down.

PLEASE NOTE: IN THE TWENTY+ YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR RADA, I HAVE NOT HAD TO RETURN WITH ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY LENS....WHEN I LEAVE HIS OFFICE, ITS LIKE IM SEEING WITH A NEW SET OF EYES WITH NO ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY. In my opinion Dr. Rada and his staff are the best in the Charleston area. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Rada and his staff. In a time when most doctors office staffs are unfriendly and inefficient, Dr. Rada has been fortunate to find the best staff in the area.
