The Mercantile food and bakery are terrific. We got to sit at the bar overlooking the area where they make all the baked goods. They also have a meat section where you can purchase meats to take home. I would highly recommend this location for the food and casual vibe. The vanilla honey croissant was to die for and fish tacos were tremendous.

Delicious fresh food, wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend! Looked like a great place to being a laptop and get some work done.

My favorite spot for breakfast, try the rosemary crisont (if you can get there early enough) 🤤 the staff is friendly, and the service is usually pretty quick! If you are looking for somewhere to bring your laptop and work this is a great spot! It is slightly more expensive than most breakfast places, but everything Ive had so far is delicious.

Went here with my daughter Is for the prime rib Monday night special. Paid around $60, And the primer rib was large and juicy and cooked like I asked. It was a pretty good meal A nice to get a prime rib on a Monday night. Good baked potato and onion rings were tasty but just a bit greasier than I prefer. Comes as you see on my plate no side options. Service was extremely nice. I will go there again.

This place is AMAZING! Hands down the best coffee Ive ever had. We also ordered the ricotta bowl and avocado toast....both incredible. A visit here is a MUST.

First time here today with my wife on our honeymoon. She had the avocado toast and I had the huevos rancheros wrap - both were so delicious! Great coffee, chai tea, service and atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back!

This place was so good! Definitely try the huevos rancheros wrap, the charred tomato salsa is divine! Aesthetic of the restaurant is so warm, can tell a lot of attention was paid to detail. Tried the latte which was delicious, all cafe items look great!!!

Good place to work. The tasks were described to completion. Well oiled system they have. The only downfall was parking. Im not faulting M&M though. The parking is on the City of Charleston. M&M gets a 4.7!!!!!!!

Great high ceiling brick and timber space, food was excellent... avocado toast ( great bread), southwestern wrap and hummus daily special. music and ambiance were enjoyable, friendly people everywhere.

DELICIOUS food! Try the Huevos Egg Wrap and the Chicken Biscuit - so good! Plan to spend a little bit of time there though - it takes a bit for food to come out. Really cute spot for a business meeting or some remote working. Definitely worth a stop!

Might have been the best burger I’ve ever had. Samosas were great too. The restaurant is order up style with an attached cafe and market so you can get your afternoon coffee at the same place. Very pleased with the staff, service time, and food this is a must go.

I’m a big coffee drinker, and this is one of the best lattes I have ever had. Very smooth and you can taste the quality. The breakfast was amazing also. Beautiful outdoor seating. Definitely coming back!!

Nice, great, quaint lil place with a lot of local foods. Good prices and baked goods. The lemon lavender (I belive) cookie was amazing along with the chocolate brownie.

Great cup of coffee, butcher had some great looking meat cuts but seemed on the pricey side.

A nice lil breakfast/work nook. Its like Starbucks, but w a homely feel. The Duck Confit sandwhich was nice overall. The coldcut sandwich was not that great and needs some more tweaking my the chefs. Coffee was decent and we emjoyed the space, but felt the food needed some work.

Donut Wednesdays are the best, so fricken good!! Takes some time when theres a crowd but its always worth it, never had anything bad there.

One of Charlestons best brunch spots. The food is great. Some things can be shared (croque-monsieur is a ton of food). The coffee is on point. The sweet cream latte is my go to but always see about the seasonal drinks.

Decently priced with rustic appeal! Order at the counter and grab a number for your table! Canned craft beers or a special mimosa But definitely order the mahi tacos! Plenty of parking.

Mercantile & Mash is a really cool little coffee shop and eatery, located at one end of the old historic Cigar Factory. Highly recommended!

Mercantile and Mash is a great restaurant. I am giving this restaurant two stars because of the food in their grab-and-go. Food such as sandwiches, wraps, and prepped food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying. This food is not edible as the sandwiches are too SOGGY therefore making the sandwiches and wraps inedible and taste sour. The salads are mediocre and soggy. I work in the building and attempted to give this place a try and will not go back.

Great quality latte & really cool atmosphere. I got an oat milk latte with lavender syrup and it was delicious. Also, they were allowing spaced out indoor seating which was nice (Covid)

My first and only experience at Mercantile and Mash occurred when I was meeting a colleague of mine. It was actually close to Christmas time, hence the seasonal eggnog doughnut and Juniper and sage latte I ordered. I was very pleased with service. My latte was very nice and hot with a complimentary touch of foam art. The eggnog doughnut, while delicious, was excessively sweet so I was only barely able to eat a little less than half of it. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

Always a 5☆ I wish I could remember all the names on my last visit in the restaurant, but the one that pops out is Kendall. She welcomed us w/a big smile & an awesome attitude....mask & all. :) The service is great, the food is wonderful...this place is worth the wait in my book.....or call ahead with your order & get it to go. Ive done both & the food is great either way. The Merc currently has a limited menu, so if your looking for something particular, CALL & double-check w/the restaurant staff to see whats available. Overprice for little food & no flavor.

Very cool, funky, hometown version of Starbucks. The big and better difference is that the space is somewhat sprawling andarger than your average Starbucks. Food is hot or miss, but Id recommend the Duck Confit samdwhich and maybe a tall boy and call it a day folks !

This company has been very consistent in terms of food, wait, and customer service. I have guest who visit annually and always makes a stop here. Very impressed with this local spot since I moved to KC. Frugal prices for a quick meal and catering.We tried pasta, pizza, and garlic bread. Everything was great with the pizza being amazing. I wish we had simple affordable Italian restaurants in our local area.

Amazing food and a great price point!

Im best friends with the HBIC there so I texted her I wanted to do a surprise picnic for my boyfriend. I dropped off some balloons in the morning and told Meredith (the manager) that there’d be three of us and she picked out 4 delicious entrees and a chilled Rosé. My boy does not like self indulgence so this little fam shindig was just “over the top” that he wanted.

Love this place! Great for grabbing a quick drink (coffee, soda, beer); meetings, or working for a while on my laptop.

This place has my heart for my favorite coffee. The Paris by Night (chilled 4 oz “shot” of nitrogenated espresso + sweetened condensed milk) is heavenly. Its so unique. I top it on a iced mocha latte.

I had an iced coffee with their strawberry flavoring and it was one of the best cups of coffee i ever had. The strawberry flavor tasted so fresh!!!

Came in here with low expectations, left pleasantly surprised! Their selections are vast, and the bounty is flavorful. The cheese wantons, chicken cutlets, and veggie sushi rolls were all phenomenal. Id highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice AYCE experience in South Barrie. Ill definitely be coming back!

Incredible coffee—we had an iced coffee and a latte; wonderful, fluffy biscuits—the spicy chicken biscuit is delicious, the best we’ve had in Charleston; and the smoked ham on the egg muffin—fantastic! Great atmosphere, plenty of seating, friendly staff. We will be back when visiting Charleston!

Cute place for brunch. One of the few places downtown that is open early. Coffee drinks are on the smaller side but are priced accordingly. The food portions are large and are tasty and priced low for what you get. Food is fast. Highly recommend!

Lovely place in a very old historic building. The coffee was excellent and the pastries we had for our breakfast were all mouthwatering. Definitely going again next time Im in Charleston.

Cool spot in the old cigar factory! The coffee and food are both great and overall the atmosphere is fun. Could use some more outlets for laptop plugs though. The Bar Mash is also very cool!

The space is cool but my past experiences here have always been mediocre. What is really annoying is they insist you download their app to order online. No thanks.

So cool! Great place to get a bite before getting on the cruise ship. Beautiful atmosphere. Old cigar building revamped. Hang out and eat some delicious sandwiches, or a piece of house made cake!

Great one stop shop for food coffee and drinks. Nice place to study and work. Food is a little pricy for portions but the environment is very agreeable. There is larger seating for groups and out of the way corners for personal study and work. Would recommend if looking for a place to camp out and be productive, definitely bring headphones as it can get loud.

Perfect breakfast/lunch spot. We had the croquet monsieur and the ham was absolutely delicious, which is when we looked around and realized there’s a butcher inside. Also a pastry shop and some cute kitchen utensils. The turmeric latte drink was exactly what we needed to cure the cold weather.

I love the concept of this place. They make their own chai concentrate and you can tell! My second favorite dirty chai latte. I have to go to Greenville for number one. They have great burgers too. Just wish the coffee came in a larger size. Its like a small from Starbucks.10/25/21 I rarely ever have complaints about the food. Its very consistent. I wish I knew the dressing for the salad is already mixed in. There was too much dressing and it was over powering. My cappuccino was bitter. I told the cashier about my experience and she didnt seem to care. Customers do care.......I dont think I will be back for the coffee.

Had a great lunch today at M&M with my wife and adult daughter. I had the Mash Burger which was really very tasty and exceeded my expectations. Wife had salad, daughter the salmon sandwich, all exceptional. Mike helped us through the process and was very friendly and informative. Definitely coming back!

Great morning stop for coffee and a bite. Also a great space to get some work done if needed. If we lived in Charleston this would be a regular morning stop.
