I have always received exemplary service from the Hay Tires on Savannah Highway. Most recently, I went in with an issue that was difficult to diagnose. Before completing the repairs, they encouraged me to first check with the manufacturer to see if it would instead be covered under the warranty. Its not often that a shop will turn down money. When things continued to go wrong, they insisted upon making a a frustrating situation right. They will consistently have my business from here on out.

I give them 2 stars because they were quick to see me. However, they were not helpful when my daughter was driving our car to get the new tire, they didnt help her put it on. They also were rude and said we arent NASCAR. I received very friendly treatment and my daughter received the opposite.

The Hay Tire personnel made me feel comfortable with my decision to bring my car to their facility. The people were courteous and made me feel as ease. I waited for my tire to be fixed (2 nails). I was impressed with the short period of time it took to fix my tire I will definitely return to Hay tire. They are definitely dedicated to their company.

I came in town for a short visit for a conference and had a blown out tire not just a flat so I needed it repaired ASAP .I was able to drop off my rim and come back and pick it up to have it put on. The staff was over overwhelmed with orders and cars but understood my urgency and graciously helped me get my car back on the road in a hasty matter. All other local shops told me I would have to leave my vehicle for days . They were able to take the time to help me select the right tire and assess my needs. I was blown away with the service I left a gracious tip that was not expected but very much deserved .

While getting my car from the hotel Valet, my car’s tire went flat from a screw I had picked up. I was able to fill the tire with air and drive to Hay Tire Pros. I went there because of the wonderful reviews online, they were close by, and because they carry the tires I prefer in case my tire was not repairable. Even though Hay’s is extremely busy, they squeezed me in and I was soon driving away on a repaired tire: the price was also pretty reasonable. The entire Hays staff was professional and courteous. I highly recommend Hays Tire Pros!

They were able to balance a set of 35s same day and relatively quickly. Ive put 700 miles on the set already and they ride great. Customer service was awesome. Ill definitely return.

For years, I have used Hay Tire for my tire and automobile needs. I’m always looking for local businesses rather than national enterprises and most importantly, those I can trust. And Hay Tire certainly meets the criteria.Recently I needed to replace the tires on my foreign manufactured sports car. Working with the helpful workers behind the desk, they were able to locate the tires in Illinois and let me know that they would place my order and notify me when they arrived and set up an appointment for the installation. As promised, I was called a week later, we set up and appointment for the following day and everything ran smoothly as promised. Another very satisfied customer and tire replacement. The staff are so friendly and seem to go out of their way and appreciative of my business.

These guys are good at what they do. Unfortunately my timing wasn’t great, I had an object in my tire, I came in before it was even close to being flat. My wait time is the ONLY negative thing I have to talk about. Waited about 2 hours for a tire repair. They did let me know the moment I walked In that the wait was going to be a while.

As far as I know they did an awesome job. I looked at some of the things they repaired and it seems like the old part that was still on it but Im kinda dumb when it comes to auto repairs I only assume it was done correctly. it seemed to fix the problem. I cant judge if the price was fair being that the only comparison I have is THE DEALER. I wish I could give a better review. To the best of my knowledge the work and price was good. the customer service was great. 5 stars, I guess!

Jeff and the guys at Hay Tire have been great. I am very particular about my truck and who I use for servicing. They have been honest about things needed and not needed, they have gotten me in and out of the shop promptly, and the prices have been as good or better than other places, so when you add in the great service they have earned my business for sure!

I made an appointment with Hay Tire just for a routine oil change. We had a miscommunication about the time I needed it done that day, and it hadn’t been changed when I got there to pick it up a few hours later. I rescheduled for the next day and they changed my oil free of charge. Really awesome customer service and I definitely won’t change what place I go to.

My situation was a tire emergency!!! I had a blowout nearby and needed to replace the blown out tire and upon closer inspection at Hay Tire the salesman pointed out a large bubble in my left back tire as well that was a safety issue. I received prompt, efficient, and professional service. I bought a very nice set of new tires and got an alignment at a very reasonable price and in a very timely manner. Hay Tire is great. They do all my tires as well as oil changes / basic services on older vehicles. They’re super honest, never feels like they are trying to push anything on you, and the pricing is always competitive. They even go the extra mile with a driver who can take you where you need to go instead of waiting (when available). One time I was downtown Charleston and needed a ride to pick up my truck after getting new BFG tires. MR. HAY himself happened to be in the area and picked me up! To me that was the cherry on top of a cool and honest family run business with lots of history. ..true Southern Hospitality.

Hay Tire fit me into a very busy schedule given a long trip planned in an old car. It was ready and pronounced fit for travel, oil changed, tires rotated with update stickers for both. The car was ready on time at a very reasonable price. I appreciated their efforts at squeezing me in and looking the car over so thoroughly.

Twice, I have taken my vehicle in for service. Twice, they have only sold me the services that I need, even though I went in expecting to pay more in both instances. I feel like they are completely honest with me and the quality of work has been wonderful.

Very friendly! I made an appointment to get all 4 new tires and alignment. It was a little expensive, but the tires are Michelin 75,000+ miles witha life of the tire warranty! They were on time and took them about 2 hours. Then I got a nail in one, showed up with no appointment, and they got me in and out in less than an hour! I would highly recommend!

Was on vacation with my daughters and got a nail in the tire of my truck. Arrived before 8am as we had a 3 hr drive ahead of us. I was told 90 min and my car was done in close to 30. Very nice group of gentleman working their.

Was very impressed with this business. I had called because I unfortunately found a screw in my tire and the gentleman was kind and said bring it in. He also said it would be about an hour for the service (which I appreciated knowing since I had to get to work).Upon arrival I was greeted and checked in right away. The gentleman who checked me in was wonderful and friendly. I was there a little over an hour and thankfully they were able to patch it for $26. I was so relieved and grateful.I am so glad they were able to take me and get me situated so I didnt miss work!I highly recommend this location and giving them a shot. Not what they use to be! My grandparents have been loyal to Hay Tires since the beginning, so of course, I wanted to follow in their loyalty and support a local business. However, every time I have gone to Hays to get my car looked out, I come out with more problems then I came in with. Every single light on my dashboard (engine light, tires, etc.) all flash days after spending $100+ on their services. A prime example of this just recently happened, I spent $200 getting my car and tires looked at before I was to take a long trip. During this trip, all my lights came on in my dashboard, and shortly after, I got a flat tire. After spending hours after midnight fixing my tire in the rain on side of I-26, I used a spare and drove my car the next day to get a new tire in the local city I was stuck at. They reviewed all my tires and said they were all low on air, and several other problems I paid Hays Tires to review before departing on this drive. Not only was I extremely disappointed in the quality of service I paid Hays for, but my grandmother, a loyal customer for over 20+ years was so upset at the danger they put me in. Needless to say, this loyalty to Hays is gone. After many chances to redeem themselves for better service for the high prices they charge, they have crossed the line and put me in danger when they ensured me I would be safe. Not acceptable.

Hays Tire is great! I was able to get a tire for my truck that no one else carried in stock since it’s not a typical Charleston truck (it’s 4 wheel drive and a mega cab) they are always professional and their prices were spot on for what I wanted to spend. Loved that I could get my tires an alignment without having to go to another shop like others had stated I would have to do because the size of my truck. Highly recommend!

Hay Tire Pros is the best and most trustworthy shop in Charleston, SC! As the Fleet Manager at Hamby Catering, it took me months checking the local area for an honest shop that I could trust with 8 vehicles in our fleet, after turning away our two primary mechanic shops. Phil and the other CSRs at counter are great, and wont recommend extra add-ons to boost labor costs. I requested a single mechanic that I could bring my vehicles to, Phil recommended Payton, who in my opinion, after getting all of my vehicles up to date and up to spec on all mechanical and safety requirements deserves a raise and more responsibilitys, hes easy to talk to and is willing to walk you through every item that needs attention. The first 3 vehicles that I brought to Hay, Payton allowed me to crawl under each vehicle with a flashlight to verify the work that needed to be done, something that Ive learned to do with other poor mechanic shops. Now I rarely check because I know that I can trust Payton and Hay Tire. Their turnaround time is 3 times faster than any other shop Ive dealt with. All good things to say about the Team at Hay Tire on 444 Savannah Hwy. Let me know when you guys are hungry, Ill bring the Hamby Chicken Salad Tea Sandwiches!
