Very UNFRIENDLY and unwelcoming front desk girl. The older lady who greeted me was very friendly and welcoming. Then she directed me to the front desk girl who couldve cared less that I was there. Sent her an email of an estimate that she swore she didnt get. So I left because I had to go to work. I left her all of my contact info so that she could call or text or email me when she received the email. Well, its been 2+ weeks and still no response from them. I used them YEARS ago for car repairs after an accident and they WERE phenomenal. NOT ANYMORE in my opinion. They need to retrain that receptionist or either hire a more people-friendly receptionist who values their job. Needless to say, I will NOT be using Fender Mender ever again. FIRST IMPRESSIONS are lasting ones.
Fender Mender in West Ashley is probably the best bodywork experience I’ve ever had. The assistant manager, Tom, helped me make decisions and we move forward with the best options. I saw that they care deeply about the quality of their work, and care for the customers they serve with that same attitude.This is an amazing place with even office staff that goes the distance to make sure customers are taken care of and needs are met. Fender Mender took extra time after giving me a estimated time of being ready. I was told my car would be ready a week prior to this date. I call about picking it up and the car hadnt even been assembled or painted. I then receive a call a few days later saying the car is ready other than 1 bracket and I would be able to pick it up and bring it back. Upon arrival, the car still had not been painted or assembled. I wait until the following week and they say that it will be ready once again the next day, I call and no paint and is still disassembled. The day the part arrived, I received a call saying that the car would be ready by noon. I get to the shop at 2 and they say it still needs 3 hours more of work. When I arrived, the woman inside took an attitude up with me and was very unprofessional. On top of all of this, they quoted me an outrageous estimate over triple what the estimate that the insurance company provided me with. This is not my first time with Fender Mender and it has happened at 2 different shops. I would not recommend Fender Mender if you would like a fair price and accurate timing.Upon pickup the car was not assembled correctly either and I had to wait for them to take the car to the back and fix what was wronng.

So happy with my experience at Fender Mender. I was in an accident on Dec 18th and called a few shops, most of which told me that they wouldnt look at my car until after the first of the year. Fender Mender told me to swing by, confirmed my vehicle had significant damage and shouldnt be on the road and took it in that day. Entire staff was very friendly, communication was fantastic through the entire process, repairs were done perfectly and I got my car back on Dec 31 despite the days lost to holidays. What could have been a frustrating experience was a total breeze. Thank you Fender Mender!

Tommy went above and beyond to help me when my Mitsubishi Outlander was totalled - from searching for parts, to finding used cars for sale around the area that would cost less than repair, to searching for anyone who would purchase my car for parts. In the end, the car was on the lot for days, and I wasnt charged, but they helped me *so* much. I would absolutely recommend them - everyone who works here is an absolute sweetheart.

I would 100% recommend Fender Mender. The staff is kind, amazing, and they genuinely care. My car was in the shop for a week last week, and the mechanic(s) working on my car worked overtime on it to have it ready for me. I was so impressed with the quality of work they had put into my car. I’m pretty sure it looked better than when I got it from the dealership. I couldn’t complain about anything if I tried!!
I cant speak highly enough about this group. Im always wary of attending a mechanic facility because they generally try to take advantage of my being a female with a very evident lack of vehicle knowledge. This team, however, took great care of me and my vehicle. The gentleman who led the efforts, I believe his name was Aaron, had incredible bedside manner. He was professional, put the vehicle issues in perspective, walked me through everything in a digestible manner, walked me through the insurance process easily, and made the process of my obtaining an Uber very easy. To top it off, they fixed my car in 1/4 of the time they expected. What a great group. Im very thankful to have been told to go here and will be using them in the future.

I took my Ram truck in for a large dent repair. While there I had some aftermarket improvement products installed. Everyone was fantastic! Max and Tammy at the front office, Tom the shop manager, all of the technicians who worked hard on my truck and Jim the owner. A great experience all the way around. I bought my truck new in 2006, it now has over 300,000 miles and it looks brand new again! Thank you Fender Mender for a great job.
SLOPPY. UNCOMMUNICATIVE. INCONSISTENT. UN-ACCOUNTABLE. RUDE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.I hydroplaned my car at a low speed and did some damage to my front bumper – all cosmetic, nothing structural except for a bent impact bar. I took it to Fender Mender of West Ashely and asked them to give me an estimate to repair the front of the car to its original state pre-accident. They did. They pointed out that because my car is an older model, all of the parts would be after-market. Fender Mender up-charged significantly for the non-OEM parts, so I set out to get the parts on my own from trusted sources and saved more than $500. I received all of the parts and they were all great and good quality. I delivered them to Fender Mender to have the repairs completed. They “finished” the car, charged me, and left it for pick up as I had asked them to do. Everything went smoothly until then.When I came to pick up the car, the actual paint and re-assembly was adequate, but the front right side of the bumper was extended out about an inch and a half more than on the right side to the point that it was incredibly obvious. None of this had been mentioned to me when the work was on-going and even when it was “completed.” In fact, I was told that it was “good to go.” I brought this problem to my project manager’s attention. Before he had even looked at the car, he immediately blamed the after-market parts and mentioned how there was “no warranty” since I had provided the parts. I explained to him that this was not a warranty or a parts issue, but was an issue with workmanship and production since the entire front of the bumper was shifted on one side, not just one part of the car. This had never been an issue before this small accident. They finally agreed to re-evaluate the car, but still maintained that it was likely the parts and would only make an adjustment if it wasn’t.Guess what? They made adjustments to the car, but not without further inconsistencies: telling me at first “We have made some adjustments to the front end of the car and it is ready to be picked up” only for me to arrive and it not to be found. When I asked why it still wasn’t ready for pickup, I was told “we need to look at this vehicle together so that I can show you the problems with the alignment of the front end” and ONCE AGAIN their favorite line which isn’t even relevant in this case, “also if you remember this job has no warranty due to customer supplied parts.”When I questioned the manager, John, about this, I was met with further cavalier apathy and no real accountability or answers. He once again blamed my parts instead of taking responsibility for the inconsistent workmanship saying that I had provided sub-quality parts even though I had ordered the same parts they were planning to use – I just went straight to the source. The most perfect paradox of this whole situation is that John then tried to blame the issue on “previous work that had been done to the front end of the car” when in fact the only place to have ever worked on the front end of the car in the past is (you guessed it) FENDER MENDER OF WEST ASHLEY!My question, which was still never answered, remains: if they were able to make these adjustments, why weren’t they done in the first place BEFORE I was told that my car was “good to go” and before it left their production floor. This business needs to stop running around in circles, start provide proactive solutions, and stop blaming their inconsistencies on their customers. Otherwise, I would advise you steer clear and go somewhere else!

Someone side swiped my car and really did a number on it. There were actual pieces of my car missing!Aaron couldnt have been more pleasant, very friendly, and the process dropping off was simple, took less than ten minutes. I was continuously updated by email throughout the whole process. They originally estimated about two weeks and when it was finished after just a week, I was happily surprised.They shined up the outside but also cleaned the inside of my car! She came back shiny and new! Kudos, you all did a great job!

This shop will not take responsibility if they cause something to go wrong while they have your vehicle. My car did not have any electrical issues when I gave them my car. The day I got car back, it had electrical issues and they even acknowledged that was true. They said it was just a coincidence the electrical problem started while they had it and they refused to fix it. I had to spend 2 grand to fix because my insurance wouldnt cover it because the electrical issue was not part of the accident damages.
I took my 2016 Colorado here after a bad accident. Could not be more pleased. People there were courteous, repairs were done in a timely fashion, and I would definitely go back if I ever needed to again.
Very respectful, helpful, and willing to work with our schedule. Unfortunately our vehicle was totalled, so we cant say anything about their work. Though they were recommended to us by a family member who had used them several times in the past because they DID do great work.

They have had my car for 2 weeks to repair a minor fender bender. I’ve received multiple texts and phone calls updating me on the progress, including a text that the repair was almost complete and ready for pickup.Then received a phone call that no work on my car had even begun.Had it taken to another body shop where they may actually perform the requested service.Would highly recommend going anywhere but here for car repair 😡

Quick and they did great work on my Sons car. It was only the left quarter panel, but they made it look new. I cant even tell it was damaged. You should definitely go there if you need some damage repaired on you car

I had my car towed to their facility due to an accident. From day one of my car being dropped off, the staff were always polite and helpful. Every time I called, the young lady was attentive to my concerns. The guys in the back were the BEST! I had to clean out my car (due to it being totaled out) and he helped me clean it out! You cant ask for better service than that.In the past, I have had repair work from them. The work was done satisfactory. Their prices are reasonable also. You will love them!
Every person I dealt with was courteous, helpful and aimed to please. The repairs were completed per their estimation which was a little over a week with the Christmas holiday falling during that time. All of the repairs were reviewed with me upon pickup and my car was clean and shiny, inside and out! I recommend them highly!
We were rear-ended the day before we moved here and the back of our BMW was pretty banged up. Fender Mender was a pleasure to work with and they made our car look like new again. They explained everything they would do before they started and it was all completed right when they said it would be. We have only had services and repairs done in the past at the BMW dealership, but this place was so much nicer to deal with. These guys are great!!

I used Fender Mender as they were the Geico Express recommended provider. My experience was very positive. It was easy to make the appointment, my service advisor was prompt and extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. My car was beautifully repaired and delivered in the time frame and under estimate. I particularly would like to compliment the office staff - they were incredibly polite and helpful.Obviously, I hope I dont need Fender Menders again anytime soon, but if I do, I wouldnt hesitate to use them again!

Fender Mender came very highly recommended but I’m sad to say they failed to live up to the rave reviews. They took six weeks to replace my airbags and one car door after originally telling me it would take twelve days. In addition, they never kept me updated during the process; I had to constantly call them, and they promised at least twice that my car would be ready by the end of the week when it never was. I would definitely tell people to avoid this place and take their business elsewhere.UPDATE 1/2/20: THERE IS WATER IN MY TRUNK!!! I don’t know if something happened as a result of the accident or a botched repair, but either way it’s a problem that should have been dealt with. Now I have to take my car back and probably leave it for another six weeks. God only knows if I’ve been breathing in mold and mildew for the last few days. This place is a nightmare.
Had a great experience with this company. Took the car to be repaired after my niece backed into the side of our Ford Fusion. They kept us up to date on everything that was taking place and the time frame of what and when to expect it all. They did a great job with repairs. The car looks perfect like nothing ever happened. Since there is no such thing as a small accident it is good to have a place to go that takes care of everything. The arrangement between Geico, Fender Mender, and Enterprise Rent a Car makes the whole process easy. Everything is scheduled and ready to go when you arrive. Fender Mender does a great job fixing the car and explaining what they did. All repairs are guaranteed.

Would never recommend to anyone. My experience be warned. What was estimated was not what they charged the insurance company and above the quoted cost. The time was 5 days I got the car back and it took 2 weeks. The paint job had orange peel and lines where they taped the part off that they didnt paint. Did NOT use BMW paint which was specified. If you have a BMW youll understand. Shop argued with me and stated ORANGE PEEL was on every vehicle! Really ? When I took the car to another shop to fix they had removed the engine cover screws and never replaced. I had leaves from a tree embedded on both sides of the interior of hood and it took the cleaning company an hour to get them out. The car was hit on the side and the brake pads slipped ruined my rotters and was never replaced even when I requested they be checked. Whats worse is the staff for Geico was not present when I picked up the car. I left the rep a note and requested he call me the following morning! That was 3 weeks ago. Have left 3 messages for him and been to his office and still no response. The Rental car company was nice but charged me a dollar to see if my credit card was active? Really? and wanted me to pay for there insurance because supposedly if the rental car was wrecked I had to pay my deductible to them? Con artist. The whole group!

They did (James) a wonderful job on my Toyota Tacoma. I did damage to the right front end by hitting a wall and there was quite a bit of damage. Came back looking like a new truck. Great job. Took longer than I thought but I had a great rental car from Enterprise which is there on site.

The manager also was a complete jerk and told me to get off his property... great customer service! I brought my truck here because someone backed into me; luckily his geico insurance handled it well. The experience was easy and as painless as possible from start to finish. I explained to the geico rep on the phone that I would need a truck for my rental car due to my job. When I arrived to drop my truck off Enterprise had a full size Nissan Titan waiting for me. When I picked my truck back up they had washed it very well and even vacuumed out the inside! Everyone I spoke with here was courteous and professional I would definitely recommend this place.
Doesn’t play well with neighbors. Enterprise and FM share a building and no doubt refer business to each other. I am a corporate renter of Enterprise traveling every week for work, so I have to leave my car there. When I got back from a long road trip and was in a hurry to pick up my 1 year old from daycare after being away for 2 days, I find Fender Mender had written in temp marker “Read sign- no parking” with arrows over my windows and signed it. The ironic thing is, their sign doesn’t say no parking, it says authorized vehicles only. And since Enterprise in the same building told me to park there I incorrectly assumed I was authorized. Maybe if they learned to read they’d realize the sign says nothing about Fender Mender parking only. Would be nice if two companies that obviously have some relationship/partnership could learn to play nicely. Called the manager on the way to daycare pickup and got avoided, and no return call. Good luck with customer service folks.

I have Geico insurance and they recommended this place. An appointment was set fast and once I arrived there it went so smooth. They set me up with a renal and I picked my car up the following week. Fast, easy, and no hassle.

I was involved in my first accident at the end of September and took my beloved 2001 Honda Accord to Fender Mender. The mechanic I worked with was Anthony Divincenzo and he couldnt have been nicer. He helped me through a very traumatic time and was there to answer all the questions I had concerning the possibility of keeping the car and having it fixed. Ultimately, I made the decision to let the car go and once again, Anthony was there to help me through that. I would definitely choose Fender Mender again if I need work done on my new car and would recommend them to anyone who asks. Thanks again for being so easy to deal with!

I am glad I was asked to write a review. Overall I found the experience to be easy going and low stress. They got my truck repaired on time and in good order.I would however suggest DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.My truck was ransacked for valuables and a blue tooth and some cash were stolen from the console. Not a huge amount but 25-30$ and a 120$ bluetooth device.I think its worth knowing that they have a theft issue and consumers should be wary.
Worst experience ever! I only sent my car here because it was GEICOs preferred repair shop. The customer service was horrible. What was supposed to be an estimate after a car accident turned into a nightmare. I have never heard of stripping a vehicle to the point of no repair before discussing the options with the customer first. Fender Mender did just that! Oh and dont try and send them a fax because apparently the people in the office dont know how to use the machine. Wont ever go here again.

The most unbelievable terrible experience i have ever had dealing with a collision repair shop. Refused to do the work on the vehicle. Took 6 days just to get an estimate. Advertised that they had free towing whereas they charged me for the tow. Truly a shame that Insurance companies would endorse this facility. Everyone, do yourself a favor a ban this facility. Mark is a jerk.
Wished I had read the reviews before selecting Fender Mender. Car came back with way too much orange peel. Also a 3 blemish where someone touched the wet paint on one door. Very poor, unprofessional, paint job. Body work seems OK - just fix the painter. The Fender Mender Team did an excellent job of keeping me informed as the job progressed. Some parts of the operation work pretty well... some parts, not so much.

I brought the car back on Wednesday still more damage. I was told someone would reach out to me. It’s a week later no response. I called the shop to see what’s going on. I was told I never brought my car in. Smh

Fender Mender on Savannah Hwy have been my saving grace more than once when Ive been in an auto accident. The first time my car had extensive damage and they repaired the car great. I was so worried to have little rattles here or there, or something just not be the same as it previously was, but that was never the case...the car was just as sound and solid as it was when I bought it. The second time, unfortunately, my car had been totaled, but the way the staff has always treated me has been awesome. Ive even spoken too and dealt with the employees on the shop floor and they have always been pleasant and helpful. Ive had a lot of contact with John and he is the most helpful person. Ive been in his presence just hours after an accident and asked how I was feeling and helped me get into a rental. Its just a stand up team all around.
I had a terrible experience with this company. They charged the insurance company three times the estimate they originally gave me. The time frame for how long it would take was also three times as long. They didnt inform me when any updates or changes were made throughout the process. The quality of the work seems to be average at best. Im not an expert, but it appears to have been done sloppily even to my novice eye.
