Terrible. Walked in to get some custom framing done. Waited around. Was told that I would be helped shortly. Was then told that I would have to come back when there was someone available. Very rude treatment. I wouldn’t walk into this place again

The selection is pretty nice here. My reason for not 5* is that it is always so hard to find an employee who isnt addressing a line at a register for help with locating something in the store. Its just sparsely staffed. Plan on finding things on your own or waiting for a line to clear before you can ask for help, or call ahead so you have the aisle number. This isnt based on one visit. My experience has been like this more often than not when I have come here over the years.

Ordered my items on Saturday, 7/31/21. I received a text to pick them up within minutes. I walked in the store, the employee asked my name and quickly retrieved my purchase. I wasnt there 3 minutes. The best customer service Ive ever received.

My go to place for all my jewelry making and other crafts as well. It’s always organized on their shelves. And they have good sales going on weekly.

$22.00 more for the exact same service 2 months ago. Now I know why there was only 6 ppl in the store. Wont go back

Found items much easier this visit as opposed to past experiences. Cashier was very nice but she was the only one at checkout at the time. I truly felt sorry for her.

Good inventory pleasant staff and Michaels is Michaels youve been to one youve been to all. But they do carry a lot of things that you may need for your crafts and knickknacks for flowers fabric its a good place to go.

The only saving grace about this store is the cashier who graciously told me I had a coupon online when I really didnt and she took off for me. I had an employee following me from the time I went in until the time I left not exactly making me feel friendly or welcoming.

Michaels in West Ashley is one of my favorite places to go for all of my arts and crafts needs. There are times that I really need to get serious about my crafts and I am in dire need of quality supplies and Michaels comes to the rescue just about every time. They are really well organized and well stocked in just about any craft item I need to get started and finished. I have always found exactly what I was looking for when I came in and even more sometimes. The staff here is very friendly and personable and they always seem to know exactly where everything is located and can find it right away. This location is where it is at.

I have been a long time customer but i really am not sure of returning to Michaels i was very unsatisfied with my last visit they advertised an item on sale but refused to honor the sale on the item i was goingvto purchase i really couldnt believe the confusion they tried to make it seen like i didnt understand but i read perfectly and so i was insulted as well.

I LOVE Michaels! Best place in town for decorating and crafts, and having two in one place just makes it that much better! Also great help in the framing department, had my first expensive painting purchase framed here and I doubt I will ever go anywhere else.

I have shopped at Michaels forever! However, since A. C. Moore closed, Michaels has drastically reduced the value of their coupons and their sales are not as good. Because A. C. Moore provided competition, they made a greater effort to provide a better value to their customers by always providing coupons during every sales transaction. Personally, I am acclimated to the coupons and therefore I will not pay the increased prices. In the past, I probably shopped at Michaels at least 4 times a month. Since A. C. Moore closed, I have probably shopped at Michaels once this year. As a customer, I want to feel valued. I know longer feel that way at Michaels.

They had the things I needed. However, purchased one item and went else where for the other things to get a better price.

Long lines and joe and Michael where talking then 20 mins later came and jumped on register to help...frustrating

Michaels always has nice merchandise, especially holiday items, and they constantly have discounts. At my last visit, the line was crazy long, so I recommend curbside pick up orders.

Really, there is no better place to find creative activities for kids that are stuck at home (school cancelled due to Covid). Good selection, they will help with ideas if you ask. Definitely recommended.

Small store didnt have tim holtz regular size ink pads at all. Other than that it had what we were shopping for.

Great selection and convenient clearance baskets on mostly every isle... Absolutely gorgeous peacock feathers for arrangements and crafts!

They told my husband he could not come in the store with his service dog because the dog wasnt wearing his service vest. They were rude and it was embarassing to him.

Michaels has a little bit of everything. Need ribbons and tissue paper for a parent bag - these items were very expensive compared to other merchandise in the store

First time stopping in and I was not pleased because they did not carry several items I was looking for. I think the North Charleston location has more of a variety.

Every time their website shows an item in stock, I go to the store to be told there is none in stock. This happened many times before the pandemic so their stock issues can’t be blamed on Coronavirus.

Went in to get some upholstery needles to repair my shoes. They have what I needed.

When I asked the staff for assistance they were very helpful. .....update 4/24/18 ...the same day I wrote the first sentence I went shopping in this store...no one WANTED to help me.after searching for an art product I asked for help finding it,the lady says Go to that isle(pointing) and look down. THAT IS NOT ASSISTANCE!! Then I was asked to do a survey and they dont let you type enough characters to complete said survey. SOOOOOOO I have deduced two out of four trips to this store were great...Update...i have returned and the staff seems more helpful.

Stopped by to get flowers 💐 for cemetery for Christmas and nt One Christmas decoration appropriate for cemetery. Buy here every year for Christmas. Very disappointed.

Love going here for special project ideas to do with my toddler. I appreciate the class events for children, which ranges from $3 - $5 per class.... Also, it includes all the materials. I like how I have the option to leave my daughter supervised by the teacher and I can shop around the store in the mean time. Plus, i was given a coupon to get $5 off my order of $5 or more, just for taking her to the class. Im all for discounts and deals and Michaels know they have a bunch of specials to take advantage of. They also have free classes available sometimes too. You can check out their website for more information concerning that, especially during the summer time for your little ones. I appreciate how ALL the staff members are friendly and efficient. Their stores are always kept up nice and clean. I may not be able to find exactly what i want all the time, but i like the fact that i can easily go online to their website and order whatever is missing. Love exploring

These craft stores are very overpriced. No good coupons anymore either. Its more expensive to make a nice craft than to just buy it. The art supplies are crazy overpriced. If you have money to burn go for it otherwise its a waste.

Great products, but working behind the register can be hazardous for employees. Watched a woman trip and fall and got pretty banged up and had to jump behind the counter to help her. Shes okay.

The craft paint department is wiped out. Very limited stock on the shelves. Are they going out of business? I left the store empty handed. Sorry I couldnt find what I needed.

This is the perfect spot for someone who is into arts and craft they have everything you need in that field of work and creativity!

Another great experience at the West Ashley Michaels. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. At check out the employee was graciously let me go through 8 or more emails full of Michaels coupons and helped me weed through the discounts. By the time my total came up I had walked out with a large bag of fairly expensive items for less than the cost of the one item (a $40 box of colored pencils) I went in to purchase. Im not known to be a penny pincher but who doesnt like saving over $50? I would highly recommend this location.

This is a nice Michael’s. Framing staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The front cashier staff was also very friendly and cheerful. Convenient West Ashley location near Sam Rittenberg, Savannah Highway, and Interstate 526.

Terrible experience. Policy says that if you order online before 1pm you will get same day pickup (I ordered at 10:30AM). Went in for my pickup that night and they didnt have it ready. Online showed 18 of the item I ordered in stock when in reality they only had 7. After waiting 30+ minutes at first pickup attempt, I gave up and said I would come back tomorrow (not happy about this as policy guaranteed same day pickup). Came back the next day, saw my order on the desk, part of which I watched them place there the day before, and waited in line to pick it up (also not a great setup, pickup should have a separate line). Got to desk and pointed to it and was told there was no name on it so it probably wasnt mine (keep in mind I bought them out of this item and watched them put this on the desk for me the day before). After being asked rudely to step to the side and just wait even longer (another 30+ minutes) a manager came to the desk, confirmed it, and I FINALLY got my order. Michaels on Orleans road will never get my business again and I feel sorry for whoever does choose to shop there.

Great craft store

They advertised they cared a product, specifically origami paper, but after searching for it was told by employee they hadnt carried it in over a year, every though their site shower several s stores of origami in stock. So if you are looking for a specific product it may be worth your while to call before going.

I had a blast in the bead section...everything was on sale! The cashier was super helpful and friendly. Very happy!

Michaels is always a fun trip! They have all kinds of stuff you didnt even know you wanted. Lol!! Lack of Spooky Town items is my reason for not giving 5 stars. Enjoy!
