Nice clean store with plenty of inventory on the shelves. Fresh produce look great. I was dissapointed that they didnt have more full service checkout lines available. Only two lanes were open. All in all an average Walmart (which is a good thing).

Looked online to see if they had something. Website said they did. So I called to make sure before I drove over from Parsons. Was put on hold. Waited 10 min and decided to head that way. Was on hold for almost 25 min. before someone finally got back on the phone to help me.(was about 10 min. away by that time.) Luckily they had one left when I got there. The worst customer service ever!

Always out of stock. Doesnt have neck bones other than smoked ones for seasoning. Doesnt have ox tails. Always out of chicken wings always. Isnt very diverse with food. I feel they can do much better. They gave me a pack of tortillas that a mouse must have chewed through we sent it back and they exchanged but gees. I dont like this walmart its just too plain bakery sucks just my opinion.

I ordered 50pc chicken and 5 lbs of tenders. I thought they were gonna turn me away. But no way! All of the deli and bakery staff SUPER AWESOME and quick! Hot food cooked to perfection and the wait was not long. Like right under an hour! Oh and the greeter was amazing! He told me a GREAT joke! I wished I lived closer to this store.

In & out shopping not bad but if you work there well hope you got Vaseline cause your going to need it

Some stores are better than others Chanute is better than Iola because they have more of what you are looking for

Didnt get everything that I wanted. Particularly Cera ve products. They seem to be pretty popular these days, due to Dr. Ray cosmetologist collaboration with Walmart. But overall the shopping here was nice.

It was unpleasant for me. I have to look to hard for part of what I want. I usually use self checkout as there are not very many checkers. I do not like the lack of checkers being as this puts alot of people out of work. I do not like Walmart for this reason. The family has become extremely wealthy at the expense of the poor working people and are now taking jobs away from people who need the jobs.

This supercenter is definitely bigger than my Walmart here in Iola. Much bigger, with a much better inventory, much more to choose from.

They dont carry Mens big and tall clothes. Was very disappointing for my husband.

They have hardly anyone around to help you. Found an asst.manager and she seemed put out to call someone to help me in the paint section then they didnt have any base paint except satin so couldnt get the mixed paint I was wanting. Seems to be out of alot of items including the pet food area.Used to be an awesome store with employees happy to help but since they now stock shelves during the day everyone is to busy to assist customers.

Found what wanted. ...when l asked for help l was taken to the product. Everyone was pleasant and friendly..Good shopping trip

Went into store to get what needed, came out to my truck and my door was wide open. When got home I found out our commercial coffee bean grinder we use to use in our espreso business was not in truck. Hope forgot to put it in from storage. It was 6-800 bucks and was rebuilt. Cant win from loose any more.

Has everything youre local walmart has at normal Walmart prices

Sporting goods and automotive is very hard to get anyone to help you. Checking out in automotive is an extreme joke. No one is ever at counter at either department. Self check out at the home entrance is always closed. Maybe 2 lines open with a real person.

Good Walmart, clean restrooms, friendly personal, fresh vegetables, fruit, small selection of bread, a lot selection of ice cream,l small selection electronics, case cell phone.

The young man who brought my order out to our car, was very helpful & courteous. He replaced a gallon of distilled water that had a hole in it very quickly & very respectfully. Wish I would have caught his name.

It was great my grandma almost forgot her card but this women gave it back to her!

Got my oil changed took an hour by the way... left got 5 miles out of town and lost oil pressure and my car dies in one of the worst places in could have. Needless to say had to have it towed to the dealership cause it wont start now. But that was my experience and it could have been an honest mistake one Walmarts part. So use the automotive center at your own risk. Hopefully Walmart will make it right.

I love this local Walmart Store and I find it to be hugely convenient as I live very close to it and find I will shop there vs. a store further away, especially when I only need a few items or have to run out to pick up a particular item.  It is a wonderful grocery store, and I can generally find what I am looking for. The neighborhood grocery that is always bustling, one of the few grocery stores that has character, like the places of old! And the prices are GREAT, too! Oh, and I love the kid carts. And one other thing, the produce is fantastic, doesn’t taste like cardboard like the other stores.

Seem to be getting more and more self checkout then actually hiring decent cashiers if you do go through a line where theres an actual human there because you know they get paid for doing that job not us then youll be in line forever..

Walmart is great to get all of your needs in one place........but really need more cashiers. Self checkout was beyond full and only had a couple cashiers with pouring lines

Good place to shop when their not busy. I wish they would stay open till at least 1am. Saturday seems like they are always out of food I buy.

I am fairly impressed with the pick-up here. I work in Wichita & could easily pick-up there on my way home to Greenwood County, but I drive over (45min) to Chanute because my order is usually on time, complete, well communicated, easy to get to, & delivered to my car with a smile by friendly staff.

It would be nice if they carried more selection. Great value is not always the best in taste.

This Walmart is very poorly run. Very understaffed. Employees that are working ignore going to departments they are called to work at or they would rather to just ignore customers that ask for help.

Pickup process is great. Order online, she’s when to pick up and they bring it to your car and load it. Makes me feel very safe in these Covid-19 days. I am high risk, and truly appreciate this service from Walmart.

Chanute is my Walmart of choice. Very clean and organized.wonderful personal as well as very helpful. They help to make shopping fun and enjoyable.

As far as Walmart go it is a pretty decent Walmart friendly staff willing to help you clean. The only reason it did not give 5 stars is they are out of stock on a few things.

Like any other Walmarts Ive been to it seems pretty fair restrooms decently clean, great prices anywhere you look, evenings of course you get your wild youth causing a ruckus in the store thats just about as normal as any Walmart you go to.

My wife and I are from Wichita, spending our anniversary out in Chanute at an out-of-the-way cabin. We came to town to get some groceries for our weekend. Upon coming out of the store, we noticed we had a completely flat tire on our vehicle. It was 6.20 at night, 20 minutes after the auto center at Walmart closed, but the automotive department manager Kevin Reed was kind enough to help us. We couldnt be more happy with the service we received! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING US!!!!

Customer service here is absolutely shameful! Can never find an employee when you need something. Theres constant trash laying around the store from people who Im assuming steal. The shelves are bare most of the time. Some of the employees are just down right rude.

Nice store, very clean and helpful associates. Found everything thing I needed except some canning supplies. Its canning season in Kansas so I really didnt think I would find the lids and jars I wanted... 🙄

Shortys was one of the stops for a poker run fundraiser. They did NOT have enough bartenders to handle that size of crowd. Lines were extremely long and the ones who were bartending werent hustling. On a good note, Ive been there before on regular days and they have always been awesome. They really need to have all hands on deck for events so they can be more efficient.

We grew up in Chanute. We have family in Chanute and surrounding areas. We stay in Chanute when we come to visit. Our family has told us now not to come to Chanute especially they are concerned with Walmart there. We are VERY UNHAPPY AND CONCERNED with the Chanute Walmart from their lack of NOT requiring staff and customers to wear masks, Walmart stockers NOT wearing gloves, Not enforcing social distancing and more sanitizer stations needed throughout the store. It is clear Chanute Walmart management does not take COVID-19 seriously. MAN UP CHANUTE WALMART MANAGEMENT!! Help keep Chanute citizens safe.How can Walmart even consider distributing COVID-19 vaccines when they dont follow the CDC guidelines.

Wal-mart wouldnt pricematch a wireless Christmas Xbox controller for 39.00 they had me pay $60.00 for it and the assistant manager said she was supposed to be off clock this has got me so irrate because they just wanted the money instead of pricematching 😡😡😡

All Walmart is great its only have in our small town also since covid-19 all employees are heroes for keeping it clean and resky there life for there employment & also there lifes. So they do everything as they are told with there safety.

I hunted down an employee in one dept. Who only gave me an I dont know. answer. Then went to the electronics dept. Searched in vain for an employee in or around yet there was no one in the area. Saw 3 other groups of people having the same issue. I ended up spending about 10 minutes looking for my part after giving up on an associate yet found it before anyone else could find a representative..

Walmart has always been accommodating to me, and I rarely see an upset or irate associate. Associates there are helpful and fun, many will go out of their way to help you have a good day.

Always excellent feeling shopping at Chanute Ks WalMart. Staff friendly, helpful and staff seems to enjoy their job. Store clean parking lot clean.

Help was very limited, and our cashier was very rude. I cant believe that they have that many associates walking around the store, stalking shelves, facing shelves, or scanning in needed items that are low, and not one of them could be bothered to help us find out item, NOR FIND ITS PRICE! Then to be treated like common trash at the check out by a man who is clearly only interested in how much youre spending so he can guesstimate what you are worth. He obviously only cares about his own paycheck cause he looks at you as though youre worthless when you pay with partial cash, and partial card. Screw you. Im not even from here and I wont be back. So rude. This Wal-Mart is a disgrace!

I feel it unnecessary to close 1 entrance, just so you can have someone at the other requesting people to wear mask. It has created at times crowding. Still have people in the store not wearing a mask! Why not just put a tub of masks at each entrance for people to get a mask. Majority of the time the people that will wear them already have a mask.

There are never enough checkers. I am not using the Scan snd Gos. This store loses a milllion in merchandise to shoplifting yrly. The water machine works half the time and is clear to the back wall. When I asked the mgr when the water machine would be fixed, his answer I do not know, I just got back from vacation. He blew right on by. I so wish G and W would install a water machine. The shelves are half stocked and things like plastic cleaning gloves are out half the time. I buy everything I can elsewhere. Chanute made a mistake letting WM dominate the town yrs ago and again in letting the Super Center expand. Their mask and go in one entrance covid 19 nonsense were utter nonsense and caused me to go to other stores so I hope WM has seen a drop in business due to that policy.

Great place I go here for new games because chanute does not have a gamestop and mostly everyone in the electronic section knows what they are talking about and are helpful unlike many other stores
