Super nice place for grocery and essentials and all the staff are very friendly. If it wasn’t so chilly inside (lol please turn down the AC) I’d totally wanna work there. Overall, 10/10 place to shop 👏🏼👏🏼Also the manager Karen is super nice and kind. I forgot my mask at home and called customer service before entering the store, and Dominique said it was totally fine and that I could pick up a mask at the front desk. Very kind.

Plenty of parking, easily accessible off RT 50 and not very busy. On a Friday early evening, found most but not all of the items. Overall, their customer service is still better than most grocery stores in the area, have decent choices of brands and products, and have clean stores.Only one cashier assisted line on a Fri evening, yet line was moving fast.Room for improvement: May be HT is focusing more on their pickup service and allocating resources to that service as many shelves are not getting restocked as often. . Seems to be common occurrence across HT locations in area.

The store is nice and clean....and is well stocked....the location is convenient.......also the staff was friendly....but one particular staff member was giving me weird looks when i tasted a piece of pineapple from the provided testers mind you me and my baby just tasted one piece really one piece that is it....he was inside the deli department and was looking at me as if he was keeping an eye on me i felt very embarrassing and just bought 3 packs of berries although i wanted to shop a lot but he made me uncomfortable...i used to love my local harris in mclean all the staff so professional,well mannered and friendly...

I bought a $50 gift card and the cashier told me to put in on top of the register and when I left I completely forgot about it, I’ve spoken to a manager several times about it and they say they will look into it but I’ve never received my $50 or a replacement gift card and that is very frustrating. I should have never listened to the cashier and put my card in my purse but I didn’t want to be difficult. Ridiculous customer service.

Their online ordering process is clunky and several of the items that I ordered were not available... I wish it would just tell me that before I placed the order. Very awkward process, I will likely shop elsewhere just for the convenience and product availability. Employees that I interacted with were lovely though!

Great place to grab everything you need for food

Ive been going to this Harris Teeter since it opened. Currently, It has great sales on $1.00 vegetable packs for a quick side dish. The are found near the rotisserie chicken warmer and potatoes. You can count on a good assortment of organic food and a great wine selection. The bathrooms are always clean and there are tables for sales after holidays near the pharmacy and the check out aisle.The meat and seafood dept is pretty good. They have sales on frozen uncooked large sized shrimp.

Consistently Sells Expired FoodThe staff is very Home Depot like, running away as soon as they see you. If you hunt an employee down, they will probably help. I have now on several occasions caught expired food being sold and purchased a six month expired item today in April of 2019, picture below. Im done with this Harris Teeter and the brand as a whole. BTW, big Shad, the employee is a complete and utter A hole. Avoid him at all costs. No biggie since he doesnt do much.Recommendation: Stop selling expired food.

Awesome place to shop. They have a large variety of food. With a delicious hot bar thats pretty cost effective. A great wine selection and this is my go to grocery store to find anything I need on the go. I never spend more than 5 minutes waiting to be rang up or waiting in the self checkout line! 5 stars

Have shopped here a few times in the last couple of months. Employees are friendly and helpful, and one stocker this week, a middle older age man, in the back of the store went out of his way to help which item found they did not have in stock but suggested a couple substitutes and was concerned enough a little later while still shopping to ask if one of the substitutes met the need. Only concern is they recently rearranged parts of the packaged goods center of store and the Harris Teeter app has still not been updated for aisle numvers for many items which moved or item availability. Quite frustrating for those grocery items buy infrequently, and another shopper talked with briefly during one visit shared the same concern with the app.

I really like this store and have never had a bad experience. The meat/ seafood department always has a large selection of good quality meat and great cuts. The Butchers are very helpful and always friendly. Kevin the Butcher is a real cutie and very knowledgeable.😉The staff at the Deli counter are great and one guy (wish I knew his name) really knows his stuff. I asked for a suggestion because I was tired of getting the same kind of deli meat. He suggested the Boars Head Bourbon ham and now Im hooked; its delicious!

If you are ever in need of groceries in the Chantilly, VA area this is definitely one of the places you might find what you are looking for.

If anyone is looking to work here please consider that you will not be properly trained on anything that you need to do and you will be force to do multiple tasks that have no relevance to your job title. This tasks won’t be mentioned when you apply and they won’t be mentioned by your recruiter or employer. You will also be schedule during times that you are not available and may even be scheduled 8.5 hour shifts after submitting are form saying you cannot work that day. If you plan to shop there expect some employees to not have masks on. Expect the lobby and produce area to often smell like someone’s corpse has been laying there for hours. Expect not getting a refund after buying a damaged item. Expect employers cursing right in front of customers. Expect waiting 15+ minutes to checkout because there’s typically only 4 cashiers available with while the store has its most customers. Expect Aisle 1 and 2 to be constantly blocked by shoppers trying to check out because there’s no other cashiers available. Expect employees to not be wearing the same colored shirts as they are not providing even though it is part of the uniform. Expect employees to be on their phones because the store is basically empty from 7-11pm. Expect multiple items that are seen to be on sale to end up not because the tags weren’t removed. Don’t expect “world class customer service” because most likely not going to get it.

Love this Harris Teeter and go frequently for lunch. The salad bar is always fresh, there is a good selection of sushi (would love more poke bowl options), and the baked goods are tasty. I often go through the self check-out and Mary always thanks me as I leave.

They try. Not as nice as some other stores, and sometimes they dont have everything in stock. But really great people.

I love the friendly atmosphere of the staff members from Harris Teeter. They have handicap parking and entrance as well. I can find the vegetarian items needed for my diet and a variety of fruit and vegetables. Awesome store.👍👍👍

Things are almost back to normal at Harris Teeter. Most aisles are stocked up with things to buy. They do have restrictions on how many cans of beans or packages of meat you can buy. The selection is still limited on the paper and cleaning products. They havent made the aisles one way with arrows like some stores.

I was there today and they did not ask people to wear masks. Multiple people walked in without masks and they did nothing. Stores in Virginia are required to ask there shoppers to wear masks now, they were not complying with this mandate.

Harris Teeter is fantastic, has great access to handicap needs. I always find what I need with the help of the staff. Everyone has a need when they visit any type of business. I like friendly staff because the pain I endure daily is enough. The Harris Teeter staff is well train in customer satisfaction. I recommend this store to anyone who like to be treated with a smile as you come in. 100% ❤❤❤❤❤

We have been in this neighborhood for 4 plus years now. My goto grocery store has always been the East Gate Harrus Teeter. Its very convenient and the groceries are always great there. My experience this early morning has been very heart breaking. I buy those glass milk jars from there that need to be returned at the customer service desk to get reimbursed for some money. I had 2 bottles that needed to be returned. I went there and it was a little before 7am this morning. The person who is already standing at the customer service desk. Refused to work with me. Was very rude and clearly said he can not help me. The desk opens at 7am. It was 5 minutes before 7am. This is not the first time I have done this. He really actually discriminated me because if my brown color. To prove that, he immediately turns around and helps a white woman at the same service desk that he told me that he will not help me. Never in my 30 plus years of living here I have experienced this before. Another lady came and helped me after he refused. Its just so uncalled for.

A negative turned to a positive. Placed and online catering order a month of an event. Called two weeks before to ensue the order was received. Called the night before to review the order. Got a confirmation email the morning of saying the order was ready. Once we arrived a third of the order was ready, they had to get a second part but they were missing a tray of food. They were completely unaware of it. We were in a strict time line to go set up for the party we were hosting, and did not have the 20-30 minutes they estimated it would take to get the platter ready. So we had to leave with out it. The more I farther I drove away, the more upset I got- I had done everything right, the ball just got dropped. Called HT, the manager said it would be brought to where we needed it, and it would be at no charge. Wow! Amazing- entirely fixed the issue!!! An hour later, it showed up at our event, and even had a gift card with it. Above and beyond!

I love this store. Baffled by all the negative reviews coming up at the top. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, especially at the pharmacy. There have been a couple of relatively recent cashier hires, obviously still working on learning the American way, who have no idea how to socialize or be friendly with the customers. But, the other ones whove been there a while are wonderful. I appreciate that their bananas are always ripe and ready to eat--they store the green ones under the counter until they are ready rather than forcing the customer to do so at home. They stock things that other grocery stores in the area do not and everything is easy to find so I dont have to spend an hour wandering the store while picking up the specific things on my list. They have lots of fun impulse buys, too. Plenty of organic options. And the prices are reasonable. Thank you so much, Harris Teeter! Luv ya!

This store has the best staff. The meat/butcher department is outstanding and is always willing to help! It’s almost like having an old fashioned butcher shop with someone who will advise you on which cut is best for dinner. Plus I have bad hands so after I buy something they will cut it up for me.

This place is the worst. The produce is awful, the prices are high and the service is terrible. I am here on Sunday, standing in line. They have two registers open despite the fact that each line has at least five full carts waiting. The self-checkout is halfway to the back of the store. If you are going to overcharge me, don’t make me wait 30 minutes to checkout. Simple.

Their deli and bakery team are awesome! They have the best pastries and bread selections in te area. Their butcher and deli also have a great selection. 5 stars for their service level too, they are always helpful. I walked in today, looking for fresh baguettes, they baked some for me fresh.

I always have a pleasant experience at this harris teeter. The employees are always helpful and I feel as safe as I can be right now through the pandemic.

Harris Teeter used to be great, but I think ever since Kroger bought it, it’s gone down hill pretty rapidly. The produce particularly is always awful. Every time I try to buy produce here, it’s already moldy and mealy, or obviously dried out or on the verge of going bad. It’s a shame. Last weekend my husband and I came here to pick up a couple of things in a bit of a pinch; it was 10 p.m. There was only one line open, which is fine; it was late after all. The manager was busy shutting down all of the self checkout lanes, and then he was just kind of wandering around watching the line of about 7 customers. We noticed at one point that an employee (there were about 4 or 5, including the manager, but only 1 working) open up a self checkout lane for some random guy who had just walked up. We finally learned at this point that they were only taking cash, including the one open register we were in line for. When we asked about it, the employee standing around in the self checkout area, which was closed, kind of just mumbled “we can only take cash”. People started asking the manager what was going on, and he just kind of confirmed this, and mumbled something about how they have an ATM. I’ve managed places before, and the first thing you do is put a sign on the door to inform people coming in; no one did this, despite all of the employees just standing around. What you should do is apologize to each customer who has been standing in line, and explain the situation, letting them know there is an ATM available and you are happy to reimburse them whatever the cost of using the ATM is. That’s how you make customers happy. Instead, my husband and myself as well as many of the other customers who had been standing in line just left. Extremely unprofessional. I don’t like coming here now because of that. The guys at the sushi bar are awesome and friendly, and Mary at self checkout is really sweet. Other than that... nasty produce and bad management. It’s a shame.

Came in on two crutches and two staff members clearing the parking lot of carts just watched instead of offering to assist. Once I got a mart-cart myself and untangled its cord from the mess haphazardly plugged into an extension outlet, I completed my shopping. When I went to check out, the cashier asked me to get out of the cart and come around to check out, then he put my groceries on the island behind them, leaving them there for me to retrieve myself after I had to hobble to my electric cart. The lady behind me asked if I needed help but the cashier never did. I work in the grocery industry myself and have managed a front end and if this was my store, Id be mortified.

Harris Teeter is a great grocery store, especially when you need to get groceries as early as 0600. The parking lot is lit up well and theres a Starbucks inside.

Good prices and selection

This is a very good store...from the products they sell to the quality of the products. The staff are wonderful...friendly helpful and considerate. It would be nice if they had all their organic things in one aisle and a bench in the middle of the store for people, like me, who tire easily and need a short break before resuming the shopping.

Just a quick stop at Hartis Teeter to pick up items for a friend. Staff very helpful for this vertically challenged shopper.

Harris Teeter is our favorite grocery store in the area. Everything is always fresh and there is quite the variety. Well stocked and always friendly staff. Prices are competitive for the area. Always ton of great VIC card savings.

They will go above and beyond and what a good value. Beautiful arrangement without breaking the bank.

Came here this more with specific searches...an eye patch and black licorice....they had neither...sad to say no employees available to ask at 7:30am....disappointed this morning as this use to be one of my favorite stores

A little disappointed. Prices are extremely high when not on sale. And when foods are on sale.... dont expect major discounts ( watch out for buy 2 get 3 free....not a spectacular discount) .To top it off with higher prices: the cashier service was mediocre.I had to bag my own food. Harris Teeter is teeter-tottering in quality service.

Typical layout. Very knowledgeable and helpful florist.Starbucks inside but I prefer the one Sbx cafe outside a few feet away. Clean and helpful staff.

Store is well stocked and employees are friendly

Cheap chicken breast and good deals weekly keep us popping in for the things we know are cheap. Free generic antibiotics also makes for a good reason to shop there.

This would be 5 starts except Im not a huge fan of the produce department, which might be the worst Ive seen. Otherwise, everyone is pleasant, its never busy (the one at Stone Ridge is a LOT busier), and price-wise you can get some excellent deals. Non-sale prices on most things is a little higher than Wal-Mart, of course, but on the plus side you dont have to go to Wal-Mart. Thats worth an extra few bucks in my book!
