My 2003 Toyota 4Runners frame was rusted and rotted so much so that it failed Virginia safety inspection. I drove it to Advanced Automotive and they put it on a lift and gave me an estimate while I waited. After the parts came in, they completed the repair in one day. Its as good as new now. I am not easily impressed but everything about this place from customer service to quality of work was top notch. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I called this shop and made an appointment to discuss frame rust and integrity issues. They were recommended by a top frame repair sections manufacturer because of their ability to install their products and willingness to take on tough jobs where fabrication is necessary. In my case, parts were not available for my Toyota Sequoia and I would need them to be fabricated. I found a friendly manager, a clean well organized shop, and an expert who clearly understood and could explain to me the extent of my issues and safety implications. He raised my truck and showed me in detail where I had problems and urgency to make repairs. He took his time, and we put together a plan with estimated costs that seemed fair. I have a technical background and was impressed by his knowledge and thoroughness. I went 30 miles out of my way to get to Advanced Automotive and look forward to working with them in the future.

As a young female, I often get taken advantage of at car repair shops but not here! They educate you, theyre transparent, and they really want to help you.When my A/C broke last summer, someone referred me to Tommy, and since then Ive been a loyal customer. Im always in and out within 30min-1 hour.Im moving cross country so I took my car in for one final check-up with Tommy and he taught me how to change a flat incase I run into that issue. I shouldve written this review a long time ago but better late than never I guess!If youre looking for that shop that people tell you to find that is honest and trustworthy then look no further. These guys have kept my little old Focus running strong for 10 years and over 170k miles. They tell me what needs fixing and what can wait a bit. Theyre fast and efficient. They have a sweet engine block table in their waiting room. But most of all, theyre kind and they explain whatever is wrong with my car. They dont use fancy mechanic talk to confuse me and sometimes even show me what the problem is but only if its safe to do so. Just dont get upset if youre trying to imitate a sound your car makes and it makes them chuckle. It actually helps with the diagnosis. Anyway, this shop rocks! Went to this place for a pre-purchase inspection (from a nearby dealership) and they were great! They gave detailed explanation of things and patiently answered our queries even when we asked about the specifics of the inspection multiple times.All in all, highly recommend this place for similar if not all vehicle related works.

2019-03-08 called AAA for roadside assistance, requested a tow, they told me that Advanced Automotive (John, driver) would arrive by 8:02am, John arrived by/before 8am, met me at my door, was really nice and professional, John recommended BMW of Chantilly, which is closer than BMW of Sterling, 8:10am John had my BMW on the tow truck, I decided to go with BMW of Sterling, asked John can he take route 606 since it is a shorter route, he said yes, he calculated the miles, and he said that it is not worth it to even write up a ticket (for the tow), so he told me that AAA is paying for the tow (and I did not have to pay an additional cost for the tow), before leaving John had one question, he asked do the headlights stay on, I asked, did he turn the car off, he went outside, turned the car off; John must have dropped off my car at BMW of Sterling by 8:45am because Eric @ BMW of Sterling called me after 8:45am and told me that my BMW was there at BMW of Sterling. Advanced Automotive has earned each one of these stars. They worked on my car and finished it in half the time my previous auto-shop gave me and for a much cheaper cost. They are the real deal. I am definitely going to continue doing business with them!

Was just there today for some calibration work. Sometimes professionalism is conflated with the shiny veneer of the customer lounge or facilities, part of which ends up in your bill. No such nonsense here. Professionalism here was courtesy and delivering what was expected, on time (actually took less than half the time with better than expected results, which is why I felt this was deserved). Not implying a sample size of 1 has statistical significance, but hats off to a job well done.

I love these guys!! Before we moved to Greensboro, NC they were the only ones we allowed to work on our vehicles. They are hardworking, honest, and tell it like it is! I moved here 2 years ago and got lied to by a main competitor. I googled a place closer to my home, found Advanced, and I haven’t looked back since. They’ve done all my oil changes since. When i had a new, but serious problem with my brakes, they worked with me to make sure i was safe on the road. These guys do honest work, for a fair price, and make sure you and your family are safe. 10/10. 5 stars every time.

These guys have always handled my vehicles when I can not perform the work myself. Case and point. Getting some 315x75R16 (35) tires installed. Not many shops have the machinery to get this done. Advanced Automotive mounted 5 tires and road forced balanced each one with minimal weights; all inside of the rim.When it comes to aligning trucks with large tires, these guys are second to none. They will have you rolling straight and true.Well done, always superb service from an honest group of mechanics.Much appreciated!

After moving here from Florida in 2010 my truck broke down and it was towed to Advanced. Since then I’ve had multiple cars and trucks serviced and every experience has been a quality, professional and honest experience. Tom (Tommy) and Smoot where my go to mechanics. Tommy always gave me great advice since my fleet of trucks includes some older antiques which present challenges.

I have been coming to this shop for at least 7 or 8 years now. They have always been upfront with the cost of their repairs and never do more than is needed. They have replaced brake pads, starters and windows on three different vehicles for me and i have never had an issue.The best part is they offer a cash discount if you go to the website. Honestly, they are one of the few honest mechanics in the area. They also upgraded the seating in their waiting room recently with pretty damn comfy chairs.

I went in for a transmission service and a 4-wheel alignment. Not only did I receive excellent customer service but they put in extra time and fluid on the trans service cause it was really gunked up. It was quick and amazing. I just came in for a simple safety inspection for my motorcycle and the person who did my bike was very careful. He got me to come out and ask me where i wanted the inspection sticker, he wanted me to watch him do it. I thought that was very respectable and honest. Great place, i will definitely come back to them!

Advanced Automotive has been working on my work and personal trucks and vehicles for 21 years.They are always responsive and up front about maintenance, repairs and costs. Based on the fact that the dealership could not fix my tail lights, Advanced Automotive estimated that my repair would require two hours of labor. It pleasantly surprised me that Advanced Automotive completed its diagnosis and repairs within one hour and billed me for only one hour of labor. Since Advanced Automotive is able to fabricate wire harnesses for my classic car, I plan to take future electrical work there.

I had another local tire shop replace my tires and they didnt balance the tires right. Frustrated, I returned and they said they didnt have a calibrated tire balancer. I know - astounding. I walked into Advanced Automotive, handed my keys to Donnie and his team, let off some steam that they patiently listened to, and I had my car back in less than 20 minutes. All four tires balanced, corrected another shops error, and they didnt charge me a cent. Yes, that comes with 11 years of loyalty but Im convinced that Im not special in this shop - thats the way they treat everyone. Great work, first-class team, and highly recommended.

Friendly and quick service

After a botched oil change from a local automotive company which caused my vehicle to make a few unnatural sounds. I dropped my Jeep Patriot off at advanced automotive and within an hour they had diagnosed and repaired the issues caused by Virginia auto and tire. Great staff and easy to work with, super friendly. My family also uses Advance auto, their towing service is really cool along with knowledge drivers. I wish all mechanics we as friendly, honest and knowledgeable as this company.

These folks are amazing and just by talking to them you know they are well trained at their jobs. I arrived later than planned for my app. but they were understanding, and took my car in and performed a thorough job (on a Saturday). Often times, car mechanics appear superficial to me, but not these guys.

I was hoping to find a go-to shop, a repair shop that I could bring my cars for any issues, and I found it. My engine over heated and Al was there to tow within 30 minutes and drove me to work before he took the car in. The guys are extremely helpful and honest about the work they do on your car. Unfortunately, I had to get a new engine. Im not a car person and the mechanic who worked on my car showed me everything that happened to my engine once he got it out. He also said I needed new brakes (showed me how to tell by looking) and that I needed new tires soon (also showed me how to tell). The service is also extremely quick. Great place, I highly recommend it!

Had to call AAA for a tow on Saturday morning after my brake line broke. Advanced had a truck to my location within 15 minutes and we were at the garage to be repaired within 45 minutes of placing my call.Also, their diesel mechanics are top notch. This is your back home garage! The mechanics are knowledgeable and polite. You actually get to speak to the mechanic about your car! We have been bringing our cars here for almost 15 years! I had a coupon for a free alignment check at another mechanic and they quoted me an insane amount for repairs. I then took my mini van back to Advanced Automotive and sure enough they were able to give me the best, most reasonable price for repairs. These guys are trustworthy and skilled. There is no fluff about this garage. Just great workmanship!

I have been using Advanced for over six years and have recommended them to several neighbors and colleagues who were very pleased with their work. The work has always been performed and delivered as promised. I have found their charges on average, to be about one third the cost than what a dealership charges. I used Advanced for two major overhauls on my twelve year old RX-300; they came in at almost half the price of the dealer. They also offer a ten per cent discount if you pay cash and that sure sweetens the pot! If you need a good service shop, give them a try - youll be pleased.

Great pricing, quick service, and awesome customer service. Came in about 40min before closing for speedometer calibration on a motorcycle and about 5-10 min later I was on my way home with certified results. Definitely check them out for any automotive needs.

Great place for your custom tire repair needs. I was having an air leak on one of my tires and having a hard time finding a repair shop that could handle my large 24 inch wheels. Advanced had no trouble checking out the problem and found that the tire was not set in properly with the rim causing the air leak. They made the adjustment and best of all did not charge me a dime. They told me to bring it back in if it happens again for a slight modification to fix the problem for good. They definitely earned my future business and recommend them for an honest trouble shoot and repair for your car.

Second time visiting the shop. They are thorough and fairly priced. Even though it is a little out of the way, this has become the only auto repair shop in NOVA that I will go to.

After my car wouldnt start this morning, I called AAA to get it towed. So lucky that Darryl was there to help me out. He took my car back to the shop,and was able to fix my car within hours, much faster than other places I called, and at a cheaper price. He understood my anxiety, knowing I needed my car for work, and checked that they had the part in shop before he even picked up my car, so I could get it fixed same day.100% would reccomend.

Everyone at advanced automotive was extremely friendly and helpful. I needed two new tires on my car asap. When I called they were very efficient and set everything up right away. I came in within the hour and was done in an hour and a half. They also took the time to let me know that something else was wrong with my car at the time and fixed it as well. Ive never had better service at any other automotive location. They have a slight discount for AAA members. Everything was reasonably priced ( would have cost the same at any other garage) and I will definitely be going back for any further vehicle maintenance needs.

Fast and courteous

Went in to get state inspection last yr, they told me my card had a leak and charged 850$ for rack and pinion replacement. I was new in Virginia and was in urgent need to get VA inspection to get my license. I feel they took undue advantage of it, will never go back, neither recommend.

I was stuck at a Sunoco station with nothing to pay for my gas except a check, which they refused to accept. A guy from Advanced Automotive rescued me! He put some of his own gas into my car and I was able to make it home. What a Good Samaritan he was. I would highly recommend Advanced Automotive for their service. Thanks, again.

I was new to Chantilly, VA and I went to Advanced Automotive because I could feel vibration when pressing on the brake pedal. I wasnt sure if I needed new brakes or not. When they looked at my brake they said I needed new brakes or I would ruin my rotors. 330pm minutes later I was charged $391.80 ($171 for labor and $208.30) for just for my front brakes and rotor. Im now wondering if this is normal rate for mechanics or I was ripped off because Im a minority.

Ahmad was my auto service expert and he did such a great job! My tire had a nail in it and had a slow leak. He did a thorough assessment of the tire and fixed it on the spot. I will certainly go back and Advanced Automotives services!

Ive only gotten inspections and emissions done here, but I keep coming back each year because they are polite, quick, and their waiting area is very clean.

Advanced Automotive has been working on my 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan for several years and have helped me keep it running well. It has over 250,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. I would highly recommend Josh and the other staff members.

I grew up in the auto business in central NY: cars, service, and parts. Ive always used a dealership for my service until 2008 when I had my first experience with Advanced Automotive. I had an emergency AAA call and the driver of the tow truck suggested Advanced. Since that experience I go there first for all of my car service needs. We have four vehicles of three different makes and each one receives the best treatment from Advanced. On many occasions Ive had my vehicle in for a concern only to find it needed a minor adjustment or no service at all - with no cost. Its difficult to express how relieved I am to know that my wife, daughter, and niece can all go to Advanced and not get taken advantage of because they may not know the exact technical info to tell Donnie. Hes soft-spoken but very respectful and helpful. Quite simply I wont go anywhere else and theyve earned my trust and respect!
