UPDATE two of the rims they sold me are bent. I took them in for balance and the tech said they sre bend but it isnt visable. he used 10 wheel weights and its not enough.so four weeks after my purchase im updating my review and Ill tell you exactly why. I was sold wheels and brakes which were presented to me to be compatible. I ended up needing to purchase wheel spacers and extended studs just to clear the included brakes. then my center caps started falling off and I found out that they had just glued the center caps on and they werent the correct center caps which set me back another $100 on top of the other $200 I spent on extended studs and wheel spacers. just today I was looking at the tires and Ive now realized that they put tires intended for a 7.5 inch rim on a 7 inch rim so now I have incorrect tires. so this is a safety issue on top of all the other lying that theyve done to me. then when I went to go put all the brand new brakes on I realized every single rotor it was at the bare minimum allowed so they couldnt be turned. that set me back another $400. I would have been better off just buying new wheels and tires that I knew were going to be good from the start because the margin that I thought I had isnt there anymore.

It took a couple months of wrenching but both motor and trans are operational. Had no issue during a shakedown at summit point motorsports park.

Mike the owner is extremely helpful and a good dude. I purchased a bumper and fenders from him today and we worked out a fair deal; I’m more than ecstatic about my purchase. Spent a while chatting and poking my nose around his place. Well organized and clean. If you’re looking for an HONEST jdm spot that has great deals and a NO NONSENSE approach to doing business, this is it. Definitely going back. I’ve been to a few of the other places and some were rude and condescending and dismissive and JDM Engine is a good place keeping it real.

Originally bought a replacement transmission and it ended up having a bad center diff and was able to exchange ot for another working one with the same miles and had no issues with the warranty... The owner Mike was very professional and a all around good guy

If I could leave a zero I would. Sold me a faulty engine (as we installed it, on the first start it started smoking from exhaust and MAJOR oil blow by that you shouldnt see from a low mileage engine. Contacted Mike he told me to wait he has a container coming with more of my engine and when it reaches he will exchange it (under 30 day warranty). Fast forward to more than 30 days passing, calling weekly to get updates, finally he says, the container has reached but your engine is not in stock, bring the engine back and IF its in good condition then he will give refund. Mind you the engine IS NOT in good condition and was sold to me faulty from the get go,hence I PAID to remove the engine from the car (as per my mechanics recommendation). The psi from their supposed compression test is written on the engine, when I asked for the compression test to be done BEFORE I bought the engine, I was brushed off by Mike basically telling me oh its good buddy no need to test again we just tested. Fast forward to actually bringing the engine back to his shop for him to test if its in good condition and process the refund. He tries to spin the engine to make sure it is not seized up he is not able to by hand so he says oh you broke the engine, it is seized no refund. I tell him the engine is not seized, just smokes, it was running. Try connecting a battery to it and see if it spins. He connects a battery and voila it spins, I ask him what kind of game are you running, he doesnt like that basically tells me to f*** off, you have no proof you bought this engine from me, I dont know you so go f*** yourself (I have a receipt, plus text messages between us). At this point I told him the biggest regret I have is that I did a cash transaction with you (credit card I would have stopped payment immediately under lemon law). So its safe to say I will be SUING JDM Engine Virginia and taking them to small claims court.

Been calling for two weeks since I got my swap in motor runs great but trans dont have reverse. Owner refuses to help I spent 3500 on this swap. With half the stuff not being included that was suppose to be i sucked it up and bout it but now cant get help putting reverse in my car.

Great people to do business with. Transaction was fast and they put the motor in the car with a forklift with no problem. Motor look clean and knew. Prices are very reasonable

Terrible experience. Purchased 2 different transmissions and neither were in proper working condition. Company refuses to refund the money to us even after we have returned both transmissions to them at our cost and had to have the transmissions put in and pulled at $500 a time. I definitely would never recommend them to anyone. Owner refuses to return our calls and hung up on our attorney. Terrible business practices will be pursuing further action in small claims court.

Very courteous, excellent price on my 2.4 L 4 cylinder vtec engine for our 2006 Honda Accord EXL, 1500 installed including New cooling fans. Not gonna beat that price anywhere for a like New 35,000 mile engine, those engines alone are about 2500 New, James the owner very professional. Will definately get our business again. Highly reccomend.

Car part heaven for most JDM makes. This place is like Disney land for the JDM gear head if you have some cash in your pocket. So happy to have a place like this local to NOVA.

I’ll start by saying that I’ve never ordered an engine from an out of state business before. I ordered a jdm K24a engine from Mike last Friday (2-23-18). Mike was great to deal with and very helpful, even partially disassembling the cylinder head so I could verify the motor was exactly what I needed (via photos and FaceTime). All questions and concerns were promptly addressed and Mike even worked with me on pricing. I received the motor one week later (3-2-18) and everything looks to be exactly as described. Big thanks to Mike and everyone else at JDM engine imports VA. I really can’t imagine the engine purchasing process (especially considering buying from out of state) going any smoother. Great experience!

Mike was awesome! He helped me replace transmission for a 2002 honda accord (my old one had the hard shift problem). Mike was cool and reliable. Nice guys on the phone (a bit hard to talk to at times), but I recommend you deal with them in-person only.I purchased a motor from them over the phone; they somehow sent me the wrong motor, despite two conversations verifying numbers/makes/models. How can you confuse a 2.0 liter for a 2.5? (The best part was after receiving it, I called to indicate the mismatch and they told me to slap my top end on it and it would run just fine as a daily driver!?! What a ridiculous statement!)?They wanted me to pay shipping and wouldnt honor a reasonable return timeline beyond their typical 30 days (leaving their door, and back to their door). I didnt get it till a week after they shipped it, and to coordinate return freight shipping from my residence took me weeks (dont ask about that, lol)).This was clearly their mistake (they admitted they knew they were sending a 2.0 all along for a 2.5 application), and were totally inflexible and unreasonable about taking it back.

Bad quality parts. they will send you a broken trans and or broke engine. Do not trust the miles listed on the part. No record of vin number or prof of the miles on the part it self. Rude boss named Mike will not work with you.... Save your money do not deal with bad parts. warranty is a scam you pay for shipping back the bad parts they provide you with......

Never buy from this shop! I called an ask if they had a differential for an 240sx and they said Yes. I look and everything look will but the vlsd from the inside was damage, you can not look at a vlsd carefully if it isnt outside the differential. Ill never buy from this shop ever again!!!

Bought a ej20g got it in and the motor was knocking he managed to weasel me into buying another motor at a discounted rate when the first one shoulda been under 30 day start up warranty and then I get the second motor and it’s wrong and he won’t refund me my money or send me the right motor to make it right I got 1500 in this hole situation and 2 paperweights from this dude, he’s avoiding my text and calls at his point

The engine I received had an oil leak. I returned and it was decided between the owner and I that I should replace the head gaskets and he would pay for the dealer parts. When it came time to pay for the head gaskets the owner would not. By the way the head gaskets did fix the oil leak. Would not recommend purchasing an engine form company!

After 3 weeks of battling with the motor I bought from this not even less than a month . The motor finally died on me . Not even a month. He got mad for giving him bad rating so he say he wont fix it. So to save anyone time and money . This will be the last place to do business. Im a car guy and and I would not wana see anyone spend money of something that wont be worth it.

They sold me a bad Honda Civic engine and don’t want to replace when I paid for warranty,guy there answer my calls and tell me he will call me and And does not,they are not honest and do not honor their word and ripped me off $650 didn’t even send me a reciept in email when bought engine because they knew they were ripping me off camshaft and timing belt were worn and busted now when I call and they hear my voice or say this is guy for Civic they hang up or don’t answer

They are selling junk yard engines not JDM engines. Quality sucks. They dont compression test engines. DONT BUY FROM THEM !!!
