The only Indian grocery store in and around South Gilbert, has a decent selection of groceries but the best part if the variety of Indian food they serve, please give it a try. No dine in available but there is an option for takeaway. Excellent and very tasty Indian sweets / candies.
I was really looking forward to trying their food, but ended up disappointed 😞.Twice I asked for something off their food menu. Once for a chicken dish, and once for a goat dish. They had to check, and both the times I was told they didnt have it.They were fairly busy, with a constant flow of customers coming in to get some home cooked food, so that was it. They didnt have time to help me after that. I stood around for 10 minutes then left.I really felt like walking back to the curtained off cooking area, poking my head in and asking what they did have.If you go here for the cooked food then maybe you should call ahead and ask what they have.
For the third time last night I was forced to stand in the store while my order was going to take just five more minutes. I ended up waiting there for 45 minutes. We used to get food from here because it tasted good, but prices are increasing, service isnt improving (its worsening), and the experience just isnt good. You know it is a problem when I start bonding with 3 other people in the store having the same problem as me.
We have egg and nut allergies in the family. I placed the order after confirming multiple times with the employee. After consuming the food we had to call 911 due to severe allergic reaction. Please take food allergies seriously.I would recommend creating an ingredient list of menu items.
Standard going down! They tell you one price and billing you more. They take down the wrong order, and ask you to live with itWorst customer service
StandardS going down!Twice we ordered and specifically asked for mild chicken biryani still got spicy one, then we ordered butter chicken and we were given tikka masala, yesterday we ordered again chicken butter masala and they gave tikka masala chicken pieces and gravy of butter masala
Placed a big order for a party and I was not disappointed with the quality, the taste of the food and timely delivery.
Waited in checkout line for 40mins, its anything BUT EXPRESS. Poor customer service, could have communicated to customers waiting in line, reason for delay. At checkout, again, no reason for delay. Even a simple sorry for the delay would have been great. This is the not the 1st time this has happened relating to customer service. Please try to improve customer service.
Great little Indian store and a one stop shop for all my Indian grocery needs! They have amazing Indian fast food, which includes biryani and chicken dishes! I love their samosas and chicken 555! They have started keeping fresh Indian sweets at the register including fresh and tasty gulab jamuns! The location is also very convenient right next to Walgreens on Occotillo and McQueen.
Food is very good. Only caveat is kitchen is open only limited hours.
Billing is pathetically slow during festival/sale times. Everyone knows there will be crowd and they haven’t improved or planned any better for the last one year…
They are increasing the price of therir restaurant food every month..2 months before the price was 6.99..now every item is 2$ increased.. very frustraing .. and food quality is also bad and small portion
This week, went to Store and one of the Staff or Person at the Counter is Not Customer-Friendly. After billing, the staff person at counter told to place the basket box outside and during that time, it was not crowded also. He could have take care of it. Not a great shopping experience in Turmeric in Chandler location McQueen Square. Also, Samosas are Not fresh in evenings.
Fist and last time going. Cashier lacked friendly customer service. Item bought was expired but didnt realize it until left store and didnt want to go back anyway. I believe I was over-charged so $5 bucks down drain. After paying, clerk said here with receipt and item on counter in rude tone. Store dirty and unwelcoming.
Food is good, wait time is bad. They said 20-30 mins, but actual time is more than one hour in the evenings especially. Please add more cash counter employees or provide App or online order setup which will reduce phone incoming calls.Keep on calling, busy and no answer, very frustrating.. Thanks.
Staff at counter are customer friendly. Snacks are very tasty.
Every Friday-Sunday they have discounted prices in the restaurant food. Their updated menu is uploaded on their Facebook page. They also have snacks like Samosas. They accept orders over the phone and give an estimated time for takeaways. But lately it is very difficult to place an order over the phone especially during weekend evenings. Also the food is sometimes not ready even after an hour. The quality of food is good but they need to hire more people for the cashier and in the kitchen for fast service. The Chicken 65 Biryani is best.
We love this neighborhood Indian Grocery store. Convenient, Well stocked, and friendly. We get all our dahls, frozen garlic cubes, snacks here. Dont even get me started on the Snacks!! They also have a kitchen serving hot foods (and yes, snacks like samosa). Please come support your hard working local neighbors.
Be aware..... when you buy something that is on sale they are charging actual price at the counter.., check the bill after payment... when I ask the person she is asking for the picture of offer ..... again I went to rack to take the picture to show her.....she doesn’t even know the offers going on at their store.
I like Turmeric and very happy that is close to my home. They have decent groceries and weekly fresh vegetables. They have an awesome kitchen and Indian snacks like puffs and sweets etc. Lately Turmeric has increased kitchen menu items and of course more customers and their waiting time on orders have increased considerably to over 40 minutes.Last week I ordered food over the phone but the order wasn’t ready even after 1 hour as they had lost my order slip accidentally. Anyways I got my order but realized that my order was messed up. I called them to notify them but sadly they were unapologetic or did not offer to replace. I don’t want Turmeric store to just go down in the quality and customer service like others. I want Turmeric to thrive and improve.
Be aware of the pricing at counter. They always try to charge more if you not observe.I have ordered egg fried rice today. The worst taste I ever had. Not sure why they are giving such junk food.
They advertise false promotions on Facebook which they do not honor. They offer low price food. The quality is poor. Their egg fried rice is like junk food. Not sure if they are selling the leftover from previous day.
Very nice customer service, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, their online service is also really good. They are the best Indian grocery Ive ever seen.
I have ordered egg fried rice today. The worst taste I have ever had. Smells like yesterday’s leftover food. This is the 10th time I observed, they tried to charge more. They have corrected after asking. Initially I though it might be by mistake. It’s 10th time I observed. God knows if it’s intentional/ accidental.
One of the few places in the valley for great Indian delicacies at very reasonable price. Quality of the food is pretty consistent. Big kudos to Rambabu for helping us find what were looking for and offering suggestions.
This is my 1st time writing a negative review on someone after I’ve loose my Patience this time😡. I think her Name is Devi I’ve just got to know her Name just to give the review. She doesn’t know what customer feels if she responds that rude and disconnects call not even took my order. This is not my 1st time experience with her ***Am regular customer since they opened the store I was surprised when she hung up my call 😤Done !!!I always work with Nandini she is very nice Lady. I love the way she responds to Customers not just me all my friends says the same thing about her❤️❤️❤️.Hmm I don’t have any other complaints about Turmeric express. I wound love to give 5 ⭐️ for their Food 🤤and Groceries. Very good in the area and very reasonable. Good luck for the Turmeric team.
This is the first time we have ordered from Turmeric and our experience was great. We live in Tucson and we have come here all the way for our groceries, fresh vegetables and Food.I would want to specially mention and thank Nandini, she was simply amazing, right from the way she helped us through our order and pick up.The Biryani’s were so good. Overall a great experience which would want us to come back again.
Scammers!! Went last week to buy some groceries and my daughter asked to get some food. I bought Chicken65 Biryani on the recommendation of the cashier and her husband only to come home with turmeric rice with Chicken65 on top of it. When called, they were not polite and tried to educate me on what a Biryani is. Left a review on their Facebook only to see it was deleted. Clear indication of cheating people!!@Turmeric Management, DONT STARVE FOR MONEY!!
Amazing!Butter Chicken is so good we get two orders so we have it for lunch the next day.Chicken 65 is a must have.
They have everything you need for the perfect authentic Eastern Indian dishes at the best price and there takeout it to die for love it
Our first choice for Indian food. Not just because of the proximity. This is also because of the quality, quantity and price. Limited dishes and all dishes are good.
They sold turmeric mixed with rice in the name of Biriyani to me yesterday. Last week got spoiled smelling biriyani from them. They are never polite, specially when complained they get defensive and ask for proof. They are turning greedy.Make money honestly not by selling plain rice in the name of dishes you no longer have ability to cook?Don’t ask for proof like you did in other reviews. Hungry people bought food from you will curse. It the worse kind of sin there is.
Very disappointed. Gave me a time to pick up, had to wait over an Hour on top of that to get the food!
Really a small shop, hard to move around in the store plus none of the items are price marked properly.
Delicious, excellent customer service
Super friendly store with great selection of fresh Indian vegetables and groceries items. Food is really delicious with authentic taste. Really like their customer centric service.
Store is relatively small not many selections/ varieties, vegetables arent that fresh not sure how frequently they get new stock, single line counter, but food is good though
I called the shop to order some grocery . The person in the front desk was so rude and she was not ready to take my orders via phone or whatsapp for the curbside pickup (not Nandhini) .Even I gave the orders via Whatsapp for the Curbside pickup the previous week but no response from them.I often got so many bad feedback about her. Finally ended up in going to Saffron.
Im glad I found this store. Take away food is excellent. Im Scottish and was brought up on spicy food. The staff actually listen to what you actually want and adjust to suit your taste.
I bought gobi Manchuria, it was not good. Gobi Not properly cooked it was raw inside.
No stocks. Waste of time.
Great place for a quick pick up and groceries.
Love their pander biryani. Very spicy and flavourful compared to other Indian restaurants I have tried in the valley.Staff is very courteous and kind. I didnt want to use styrofoam container. The lady at the front went in to grab a good paper plate for us. I felt respecting customers needs. Definitely recommend this place for food.
This Indian grocery shop have limited options in grocery but have most of the required things. They have Great Samosa..During COVID we received great response. Thanks!
Now they have kitchen to serve and sell tasty food...Reasonable prices on food dishes.. and tasty as well. good idea of having the kitchen as well great chef...but front desk could be little more courteous...
I love the samosas here. They are very sweet, helpful and patient. Nandini is always smiling and polite with all the customers.Great for groceries and Indian food.
This place is nice! It is right next to my house so it is really convenient and easy to go buy there. There takeout food is really good and they have a wide range of options to choose from with foods ranging from spicy to mild. Me and my family usually order some chicken or goat biryani with some chili chicken to go with it. Overall, it is a great place with tasty delicious food to order and decent variety of items of food products to buy. This is a few months later than the review above. They are growing fast and now have online menus and specials that are for a cheaper price during the time it is a special. They make for take out a variety of different curries, vegetarian items, veggies, and even samosas and pakoras. They have installed a camera system and a tv to monitor the cameras. The picture of the specials menu on the bottom is a newer example of what they have as menus.
I visited the store this evening, the customer service is great by the front desk girl, she is very helpful to answer any questions you might have. Food is great and yummy. I really like the store.
Good price and food in the kitchen is awesome. Everyone in the store is good. EXCEPT One lady. my gosh she is awful person, her face is so cruel and piercing look and talking is also so rude. I am not talking about going girl and her husband. or buy who is older looking or rambabu. But other lady, she definitely needs some meds and counselling
We catered from here and the quality and service is awesome. They adjusted the spice level to our taste as well. Highly recommend it.
I ordered food 3 times in the past 15 days and everytime they tasted no less than mouth watering authentic food you get in Inida, credits to the Chef! Also, My appreciation to the Front Desk Girl for being so patient and proving excellent Customer Service. I recommend anyone who is missing proper Indian food.
Very friendly service. Great options for delicious food. Good groceries. They also introduced Indo Chinese which is really really yum!
The best Indian food I have everhad and great prices!!!
Was here at 11 am on Wednesday July 22 and it was closed, maybe just temporarily because of the coronavirus? Left 5 stars because I wanted to be helpful in what must be a very difficult time for the owners.
Good food.
They have amazing food. Best chicken 65 biryani and yummy samosas and chutney. A hidden gem. Ram babbu makes such delicious dishes and I love his fun and friendly personality. He always smiles and is so kind. The owner is very nice. He always is around and helps you personally if you need anything. While you have a delicious meal you can do your grocery shopping as well. Devi and another lady at the counter is also sweet as well.
One lady in this store is very rude. she puts a face as if she is doing a favor to humanity. she has serious personality issue
This is a great little grocery store with reasonable prices.
Amazing goat / chicken Dum biriyani. Must try place for non-vegetarians.Samosas are so tasty and fresh
Amazing and really authentic food !!Definitely recommend for all the indian appetizers and entrees, worth trying indo Chinese!!Nandini is great host and helps with customers and explaining the dishes, super polite and helpful !Must visit 😀
Very good vegetables, grocery and food for the best price. Very Friendly Customer Service and Yummy Food.
I ordered food in restaurant a couple of times and i definitely recommend it. The food was really great and spicy. The taste is close to what we get in India. In love with the chilli chicken and mirchi bajji.
Good customer service, very reasonable prices for vegetables and food. Restaurant menu with several options, it would be fantastic if I could choose how spicy I want the food when I order it.
Nice Store. Love the Food to Order. Everyone is Very Helpful
Delicious food and great service!! Glad to have this indian grocery store/attached kitchen place in Chandler.
We Experianced food poison on 10/13, and all family of 3 sick. No taste in Biryani, seems chicken is not fresh and made from preserved. This restaurant is poor and will never go again.
Small place, but has mostly all Indian groceries. The fresh food prepared at the back is good too. Try the spinach pulav.
I ordered the vege biryani and it was excellent. Sorry to hear some of the other reviews especially expired food because if selling expired then also cooking with expired. Also. If just opened then everything should have been checked. Oh what to do ..?
Ordered veg pilaf and egg plant ( bhagara baigan). the food was delicious! These guys do a great job !!! delicious food
Much awaited indian store in this neighborhood. It is much smaller than other stores and that is a PLUS. In and Out in a quarter time, unless you stop at the restaurant. Love the taste of the biryani(esp) for a reasonable price. How can I not mention their special milk pudding(junnu) which I missed for a short while. The store staffs are friendly and helpful. They have fairly good stock of all the products.
For Mother’s Day they gave free biryani for all the mother who visited and order food...we didn’t pay single dollar but they gave chicken biryani to me and to my mom also ...I appreciate there service and encouraging Mother’s Day event
Delicious chicken biryani
The aisles are very congested, seem to have decent products though. Cant walk thru if there is another person in the aisle. 2 stars for the customer service and the products. Biryanis were ridiculous. Good food is never this cheap.
Very reasonable price for veggies and food . Restaurant menu covers from fresh roties everyday curries chats to biriyanis.
I went there to ask questions and look for rare items! The people there were very kind and I appreciated their help!
BEWARE EVERYONE!!!!! They are selling expired products and just putting the new labels. We caught them expired wheat flour and when confronted, instead of apologizing, they tried to put blame on the manufacturer. They might be selling other stuff too with the expired label.I wish that everyone reads this comment. Please share it everyone and spread the word.
Nice litrle Indian grocery store along with fresh Indian food for purchase. Good tasty food.
Very messy place. Would much rather go to Patel Brothers two miles down.
Great freshly cooked food
I shopped at this store on a short visit, very happy with customer service, the lady at the counter went out of her way to help me with my requests. Prices are not bad, for quality.
Indian grocery store for your immediate needs
Poor service and misleading with the wrong info.. They just want you to come there and shop with them..I will never go there again..
Over priced, less variety save yourself the trouble and go to patel.
Good prices and good food.
Another Indian grocery in Chandler! Cant wait to visit!
Is a decent place with reasonable prices and good food !!!
Variety of products, low price for vegetables, tasty food.
Very congested, hardly enough space to walk around. The variety of products were ok. This is the opening week.
