Will L. was incredibly helpful, patient, efficient, knowledgeable, & friendly while helping me with choosing my new eyeglass frames. I look forward to picking up my new glasses in a few weeks, knowing that I will be in good hands with Will. He should get a bonus or raise, or both!
This is a great location. Good customer service. The staff is organized and polite. I am very impressed with Dr. Alavi. I would say she is by far the most thorough O.D. I have ever been to.
I recently had an appointment with Dr. Alavi and it was the worst optometry appointment I’ve ever had. I expressed my concerns about some discomfort I experienced while doing the preliminary tests and that I wanted to avoid doing them. I just wanted a new prescription. Dr. Alavi came out and gave me an ultimatum in a punishing tone and then told me that she wouldn’t see me if I wouldn’t do the preliminary tests. I told her that if I could be accommodated, I would have no problem doing them. She boisterously continued to talk about how she would treat me like her 5 year old patients if she needed to. She walked away laughing and loudly talking to her current patient. I came to get an updated prescription. I had real concerns about discomfort during the preliminary tests. Instead of being accommodating and helpful, I get patronized and laughed at. Thanks for such an awful experience. I’ll never come back.
Just got done with my eye exam and new glasses shopping at this Visionworks and the folks there were excellent as usual. I moved to another part of the valley years ago but come back to this location for my new glasses because of the superior customer service and optometry. Dr Sun’s exam was quick but informative, and James up front was a lot of help in looking at different frames. He also replaced my nose pads on my glasses for free for while I wait on my new pair.They were also diligent on the COVID precautions, which I really appreciate!
Would give zero stars if I could. Called and spoke to Todd who was extremely rude. I let him know I had some questions before I made an appointment. He did not respond when I stated this, so I asked if I should be asking him or someone else. He stated, “I mean what’s your question. We won’t know how to answer without the question.” Very poor customer service and did not make me feel at all comfortable about scheduling an appointment. That was all I needed to know I won’t be scheduling here.
They schedule appointments at the eye doctor until the end of the day, then make you come back another day to pick out frames. The employees do NOT tell you this when you set up the appointments or when you arrive for your appointment, well before the store closes. No attempt is made on the employees to get you to pick out frames ahead of time. The employees are not really apologetic and are very “matter of fact” about the issue. I tried to call their corporate office to address the issue and they never called me back.
Very bad customer service. No curtesy, very poor communication with customer. The attendant is rude seems like he own us. As the store is closing 7:00, we still have 20 minutes as it was 6:40. As we ask doctor to fax the document which will take 5 min so that we can order the glasses but The attendant ask us to leave and threatened us to call the security. Looks like it’s their loss
I had an appointment yesterday at the Chandler Mall location, first time. Ashley the representative that conducted the initial examination was amazing. Have never been given such a detail explanation. Very thrill to say i was extremely pleased. When seen by the optometrist he as well was great, total educational explanation and very professional. He wasn’t rushing lime most optometrists. I am very pleased and had a wonderful experience. So glad i chose this location and optometrist! Totally worth it as they really care!
Dr Sun was wondering. He explained everything in detail and I didnt feel rush at all.. He was very patient and very professional. I truly appreciate that! Todd also was great. Im very picky and he helped me find the perfect frames. Thank you to the whole staff for great customer service!

I recently went for my very first pair of eye glasses and had a great experience. The person who did my exam was friendly and knowledgeable, and he explained what he was doing and looking at so that I could understand it. I feel like I learned a lot.Then, I believe someone named James helped me to find a pair of glasses. He was super helpful and walked around the store with me for at least 30 minutes helping me to find glasses that looked great on me. I felt bad for taking his time, so I was going to settle on a pair I wasnt super happy with, but he insisted on continuing to help me find the perfect pair. I love my new glasses and Im surprised at how confident they have made me feel.All around, the experience truly stood out and I would definitely recommend.
They have you wear a mask and gloves before you even enter the store, which is great. They clean everything you touch between patients. There was no wait to be seen. I was able to decline the puff of air in my eyes, since I was just there for a new prescription. Dr Sun was very thorough and was did an excellent job at that 1 or 2, 3 or 4 exercise. Usually I have a tough time with that and end up with a prescription that doesnt fix things properly. When I left the exam room I got a copy of my prescription and then walked straight out. No one ever even went through my benefits or tried to sell me glasses. I guess thats a covid thing maybe. I didnt want them from the store anyway, I order my glasses online. So this isnt a negative for me at all. Just a pleasant surprise.

Very nice and clean office! Was helped right away once I got there for my appointment. I like how they clean the eye exam machines before and after every use. The staff was very kind and helpful! Dr. Sun was very professional and friendly, didn’t make feel rushed at all like other Doctors have. The only thing that was a bummer that they didn’t have the frames I wanted but other then that I had an amazing experience! Will be going back for my next eye exam there!
Will L. was quite rude. Apparently they were robbed recently so no one without a prescription can go in to the store. He then further stated that only people that can afford to buy glasses will be allowed entry. I was intending on getting a prescription and ordering glasses... Guess they lost a customer.
I went to this location and got my eyes checked as it had been a few years. The back staff was great and the doctor was great and thorough. After I got got my RX I asked if I could look around and one employee, Nike jacket, said, “oh you want to buy glasses. Yea you can look.” As I’m looking he brings me a tray sets it down and says, “ whatever you try on, put in here because we have to clean them when your done.” And it’s now what he said, it’s how he said it. Like he was annoyed that I would be creating work for him. So instead, I walked out and will be ordering my glasses online. I work in sales and customer service and attitude is everything. No one wants to feel as if they’re an inconvenience.

The Eastern Indian Optometrist was amazingly pleasant during the eye exam and then James helped us quite well during the fitting and lens schematics. Would recommend highly.
I want to give a special shoutout to Will. We moved out of state and needed a school eye exam performed for our daughter and Will completely followed through on his promise to have it taken care of. He also called to verify that we received the signed form and sent a copy of the script. Great job being remarkable Will. We couldn’t have got my daughter registered without you. You totally deserve a raise for your outstanding customer service.
A few weeks ago I made an appointment for an eye exam on the Visionworks website for the 26th of December. I went in today, arriving 15 minutes early to my appointment. When I checked in, the staff said there was no record of my appointment. I showed them the email confirmation I received, and explained that I had filled out the forms that were emailed to me. I was still told that I did not have an appointment and that I could not be seen today but that I could make an appointment for January 4th. I will not have insurance next year which is why I made the appointment for this month. I am very disappointed and Visionworks has lost a customer.
Tom helped me pick out a beautiful set of frames and unfortunately they were stolen just a few weeks later. Called in to get another pair and he got them in just as fast and helped me out tremendously. Great people working at a great place cannot recommend it enough! Huge selection and knowledgeable, friendly staff this is the place to go!
Amazing experience ! You know its a great experience when you cant explain it because its just a feeling. Worked with Matt in the front and he was honest in helping me choose frames. Dr. Sun was amazing and took the time to really care for my prescription and needs. The Ashleys in the cashier area were so friendly and fun, everyone had a smile on their face and helped me out in a prompt, polite manner. Im truly wowed at their customer service. 5 stars is well deserved. Thank you all!
Not going to lie, I was initially a little disappointed because Ive been going to Visionworks competitor for years and didnt know what this store would have to offer. The staff mentioned that their glasses are buy one get one, and I was even more suspicious... what kind of quality would they be? Trying to remain open-minded, I tried some glasses on anyway. I did find two pair that I was interested in (glasses and sunglasses) and sat down with Alex, who is like a Visionworks angel, who explained pricing to me and got me a killer deal. I was prepared to pay around $800 for two pair, per my past experience with their competitor, but I left the store only $450 poorer! They said they would take 10 days but they only took 8 and I cant even tell you how EXCITED I was to go pick them up! Ive probably never been this excited for glasses, honestly. I think the chill vibe, the quality service (Thanks Alex!) and the amount of money spent led to my having such a great experience.
This staff rocked! Totally hooked us up while on vacation, husband left his glasses at the Grand Canyon, and we needed immediate replacements. This location could not help us with a lab, but did recommend another competitor nearby that could. That’s awesome! Thank you for calling so many different area vision centers for us. Love this place. The customer service is outstanding. The staff if friendly and knowledgeable and they take their time with you. I bought 2 pairs of glasses and the gentlemen named Matthew who’s the general manager helped me out. I have lots of eye issues and he recommended I get the transitions lenses which I’ve never tried before and for the first time in years I’m able to see without any issues. Dr Sun did my eye exam and it’s the exam I’ve had in years. I’ll be recommending this place to my friends
Awesome customer service!!! They talked to me as soon as I walked into the store to see what I needed. The manager, Matthew, is seriously the best! He worked with me to get the best price Ive seen for my new sunglasses. This store even has its own lab so the turnover time for a new glasses order is so quick! Would highly recommend.
I have been coming here for over 10 years. Sheri is the number 1 reason why I continue. She is friendly, knowledgeable and always helps me pick out the perfect glasses! She knows my style! Matt the store Manager is always friendly and keeps the atmosphere in the store professional but fun.
Ive always used Vision Works, but not this location. The employees in the back office were not friendly at all. Left me standing at the counter while they forced the new girls to even address and talking about there weekend plans. BUT the few people in the front half of the store helping pick frames were amazing! SO nice and friendly and willing to help with anything. BUT then the doctor on staff was a complete jerk. I specifically filled out papers to have my eye dilated and he reused. Said I didnt need it. (As if he knows my eye history.) What makes it worse is I used to once a year insurance privileged and cant go anywhere else because I have to wait another year to get my eyes checked. I was only in his office maybe two minutes max and he already had a whole new prescription for me. Not feelings really secure after that. So personally I will no longer be going back to this location.
This was our (my wife & I) first time at Visonworks. We had our eye exam at one location. For glasses we went to Visinworks at Chandler Fashion. At the outset, the staff at this location are fabulous and friendly. First there was an issue the my prescription was written (error). They immediately took me in and checked my eyes and gave a new prescription (of course free). We ordered glasses for my wife & I. We picked up our glasses. My wife’s glasses were fine. My frame was tight on the nose and hurting me. They tried to make a few adjustments but didn’t help. They have ordered new pair of glasses for me, free! John helped me with this. He stayed with me until I found another frame. His goal was to ensure we were satisfied! I would recommend Chandler Fashion location to anyone.
Best experience I have had getting my eyes checked and renewing my contacts!!! Matt helped us from the beginning, he was very knowledgeable and helped me get exactly what I needed. Dr Sun was also amazing he took the time to educate me and go over the pictures of my eyes and explain the importance of understanding proper eye care. I highly recommend this location and will definitely only use them going forward. The entire staff is great and I was in and out in less than 40 minutes.

I came in Wednesday night for an eye exam and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.Everyone was awesome from Jennifer the O.D. tech who was super friendly and made sure that I was cared for, to Dr. Sun who was prompt, professional and very personable, to Sheri the amazing sales representative who helped me order my lenses. You all ROCK!!I am a huge advocate for businesses who not only take pride in offering quality products and services, but an exceptional customer experience and do so with excellence and accountability. This is absolutely one of those businesses. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
Today’s visit was a last minute decision. Our daughter lost her eye glasses, which she very much depends on for driving, especially at night. I was expecting to pay full price, however became informed of the promotion taking place. Visionworks has a great selection of frames!!! Matt was extremely helpful and informative; making our eyeglass experience even better than expected!

Manny and the staff were AWESOME. He took his time to determine which glasses were best for me based on my script. Also which insurance benefits would save us the most money. Wasnt and easy task, took loots of calculating but he ended up saving us an additional $70. Will ALWAYS go back!!!!!

Wow. What an abysmal experience. I would say the customer service was bad, except there wasn’t any! I had previously gotten my prescription here in the fall but came back to pick out some frames. Walked into this store on a Monday night and was completely ignored TWICE! Neither employee acknowledged, greeted me or said anything. (One employee was with a customer when I first came in, but didn’t acknowledge me even though I looked right at him).I came back about 20 minutes later and was literally the only one in the store and Will L didn’t even look up from the desk. I would say his VisionDidntWork. Even though I have VSP, I definitely WON’T return here.Advice to owner: You have 2 evening employees who both ignored a current customer. With the plethora of eye care providers in the Chandler/Phoenix metro, I’m not sure why any one would buy glasses here. What a shame.
I called to reschedule my appointment around 10am on a weekday multiple times and no one answered. Why isnt there an option to cancel in the email and texts I was sent? Im not even sure I consented to scheduling this appointment last year, I never schedule my eye exams a year in advance.

I recently brought my glasses a week ago but accidentally scratched them. I called Visionworks in a panic and spoke with Matt the general manager. he made replacing my lenses so easy without me spending hundreds of dollars. His service is beyond amazing and I am forever thankful for his help .

HORRIBLE PLACE.DO NOT COME HERE!Came in for an eye exam last year and was looking for a quick exam to refill my contact lens prescription. I paid out of pocket because they couldn’t find my insurance information, first red flag. Then, I get an eye exam; and the doctor tells me i have astigmatism, uh, okay? That was the second red flag. I had just seen my eye doctor in CA a year prior and had no astigmatism. Does it just happen suddenly or what? Then when I leave my lens prescription is actually much weaker than I had previously which was my third red flag but I hated this place so much that I didn’t even bother to ask to change it.The doctor sucks. No wonder he’s pushing frames in the mall. Don’t come here, it’s wack. They keep calling me to schedule an appointment but I would rather be blind than come here ever again. The last person that called me to check on my insurance was asking for the date of birth of my company that is the provider on the policy. I was thinking to myself like “why is that relevant to me getting my services rendered?” She kept asking “what is the date of birth for *company name*?” And I was like “it’s a company? It doesn’t have a date of birth...?”These people are incompetent. Don’t come here.Unless you’re absolutely hard up, spend your precious time and money elsewhere.
I came in to this store to replace a pair of glasses and was immediately welcomed and helped by Matt. He continued to go the extra mile and replace the glasses within the hour. Our family has been using this location for years and have always had the same great experience with the employees!

0 star. Maybe one because of the parking lot.3 phone calls, 4 emails, 2 texts. I have an appointment. Ok.I am asked to come 10 minutes early, by email, text and on the phone.I come 15 minutes early. Wait for nothing. They open at 9 am.Alright then.I fill my paperwork. No smile around. I am an inconvenience more than anything else. TSA agents are more pleasant.Finally to the eye exam. I am asked... Why are you here?I said you called me, here to honor my appointment.I am told You did not have to come if you did not want toI reply I guess it is a yearly exam.Not a word.I express my dissatisfaction, I am never coming backI dont care.They charged me, I pay my co-pay, and gone I am.Never going back there. Awful. They dont need my business. I dont need them in my life. Plenty eye doctors around.They should consider a career change. Nothing to do in a field that involve dealing with people.

I am 1000s of miles from home and need help.Aviation training is bad without the proper perscription, but these guys are willing to get my glasses right... OVERNIGHT!Manning answered the phone and talked me through with an invite to get there as fast as possible.Mat, the store manager, worked to find a difficult solution, and brought it all together at a lower price than expected.Glasses will be ready in a few hours!Thank you folks! Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful and understanding on the sales end. I had issues with my glasses prescription and they remade them for me no problem. After having them remade my glasses still bothered me because they warped everything giving the world a slanted appearance. They then allowed me to upgrade my lenses to a different material that would eliminate some of the warping. They did this while charging me insurance prices which they didnt have to do because these issues had crossed into a new calendar yr and they couldnt bill my insurance for the difference. I am truly grateful for how they handled my situation.NOTE: If you get an eye exam there request Dr. Robert Sun. He is great. Before getting an eye exam with him I had an initial exam with their fill in doctor, Dr. Poneh Alavi and my experience with her was horrible.

It is the worst experience I ever had in my life . I came in 2 days ago. This lady Thuna helped me . She is not nice and not professional at all . I told her my grandfather passed away and have to leave town and need temporary contacts and she said I can’t because I need to make an order but the insurance system was down . I told her I’m a current customer and need couple trial contacts because I’m leaving town for my grandpa funeral. She didn’t say sorry and she didn’t even show any empathy at all. I worked at customer service jobs when you can’t do something, you say sorry at least that you can’t do it or show you care but Mrs Thuna didn’t do that at all .I’m taking my business somewhere else where they will treat me with respect and not laugh at me like Thuna did . No one called me
Very upset with this place. Made an apointment with them they called me telling me they needed to verify my insurance gave them the info and they tell me they cant verify on weekends. So why do you allow me to make an apointment on the weekend. I pulled the information from my insurance website and they wouldnt take it. Said i could pay out of pocket and get reimbursed. Poor customer service. Will NEVER go here again.
I called last week to verify insurance before an eye exam and the woman was rude and unhelpful. Today I went in and the manager Matthew was helping me set up an appointment. He was very polite and informative, but in the middle of our conversation the woman who I spoke with on the phone interrupted and started covering her a**. It seemed like she thought I was going to share my bad experience with her manager so she wanted to give him her made up story before I gave him the truth(which I wasn’t even going to bring up to start with, I just wanted to schedule a freakin eye exam). The whole time she was being very passive and rude to me, even though I wasn’t even talking to her, I was just trying to speak with the manager. I’m using my insurance benefits here this year for the last time, after this I will not be returning. This employee’s customer service was laughable. The whole time I felt as if she was trying to belittle me because I’m only 19 years old.

The sales representative was terrible. She was unfriendly, told me to look over there when I inquired about frames, and never followed up with me. There were two sales reps in the store and I was the only customer. I left and purchased my glasses at a competitor.
