We absolutely love the Turtleback crew. Great people and great trailers. Our expedition is beyond a shadow of a doubt a game changer for camping and ruggedness. It goes anywhere we want and does it with ease. Weve spent a good amount of time just hanging out and getting new toys.
We made a last minute trip to Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, CA to enjoy better weather before winter rains arrive in the Pacific NW. We camped for 5 nights. The Turtle Back Trailer was wonderful to use. The wife loved the shower and the Kitchen was the best. Having 40 gals of water to use with the hot water heated was a plus. Doing the dishes with a sink and hot water made the after cooking clean up much faster and enjoyable.
Barry and the team at Turtleback trailers continue to impress me with their amazing customer service. I bought my trailer a year ago and have recently decided to upgrade my tires. The tires did not have adequate clearance and through the limitations of COVID-19, the team helped diagnose the problem from 900 miles away! They sent me the parts I needed (gratis) within two days and I was up and running! I am very thankful for the Turtleback Herd!
Our family bought an expedition trailer in August of 2017. It has been the most amazing addition to our family camping experience. We have taken it over 13,000 ft mountain passes in Colorado as well as off the beaten path camping spots. This is our favorite way to get away.Dave and his team gave us exemplary customer service. They made sure we understood all the options as well as their benefits and helped guide us to the accessories we needed. Everything about our trailer just works for us. The build quality is amazing and you can tell that every part of the trailer has been well thought out. I have yet to have an experience with the trailer where I say I wish it had ____ .
It’s tough to find a company with an amazing product and fantastic customer service. These guys go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. Amazing trailers. In 11 on my scale of 1-10.
Great people who build a great product. If youre in the market for an off-road/overland trailer or overland upgrades, this is the place.
We have been shopping around and at 1st we were going by price. Once we spoke with Nate at Turtleback and actually saw the quality build we are sold. I cant wait to make my custom turtleback.
Today we purchased a 23Zero Byron Roof Top Tent from Turtleback Trailers. They were incredibly helpful through the process. They offered to assemble and install the tent for a bit over $100, or were fine with us assembling and installing it there prior to bringing home. We assembled ourselves and also realized that their quoted Install price would’ve been fair. It took us about an hour or so. Not too challenging but a fair amount of work and makes sense why no one would install it for free. While our trailer isn’t a Turtleback, they were helpful giving advice for some things on our existing trailer. During our last visit they ran us through a trailer they had completed. The attention to detail and well throughout layout was very impressive. When I’m ready to upgrade my trailer, the Turtleback will be at the top of the list.I’d gladly go back and also highly recommend anyone looking for a heavy duty trailer, consider these. Great company to work with.
I’ve owned my Expedition trailer for nearly 2 years now. One word I would use is awesome. Dave, Kevin and their entire crew are great to deal with. The knowledge and helpful attitudes and the fact they use their own product extensively speaks for the quality and design of their trailers. This trailer will go way more places than my Raptor can go and has proven very trailworthy. It pulls easily and tracks really well, even at high speeds. The Turtleback Herd events are a great time with good people that share the same outdoor desire. They aren’t a cheap product but they are well worth every dime spent.
One of the most complete, capable and usable off-highway trailers on the market. I especially like the large water supply, quality of construction and well thought out design. If youre going to rough it, do it in comfort and style!
I purchased a Turtleback Expedition Trailer in June of this year after the Overland West Expo . Dave and Kevin ( his shop foreman ) have been excellent to work with. I damaged a couple of small things on my Turtleback after my first couple of uses and Daves team fixed them with really no questions asked. I can tell you, youre not just buying a trailer youre also joining a really neat community. Very satisfied with my purchase.
We have had our expedition trailer for just under one year and are absolutely loving it. Dave and his crew have been awesome at answering questions Ive had along the way and helping me work out a couple of minor issues that I had with the trailer. I can tell that they are really passionate about their product and in my experience they completely stand behind their work. Thanks Dave & Turtleback!
Customer service is awesome! Dave helped me find the right parts to mount an awning on my Jeep. Support this local company and buy everything and anything you can from Dave and Turtleback Trailers.
I did not buy a trailor but Dave was paid by a third party to hook up a rooftop tent for me. After he incorrectly assembled the tent, he refused to take 5 minutes to correct the issue. He told me he will have the retailer ship me a tent. I drove my 20 month old son and 1 month old son from Flagstaff to Tempe just to do this. He told me, I am not responsible for anything, and jumped on his fork lift and drove the tent back into his shed. He was childish and manipulative during the whole process. I had to come up with a solution to purchase rhino cross bars that he tried to sell to me one month ago after telling me the stock bars I have on my 4runner will work fine. After charging me and the retailer $412.00 for rhino bars he tried to put used ones on my vehicle without me noticing. Congratulations sir for holding me, my family and our vacation hostage to make a few bucks on your rhino bars.
