We ordered 19 dozen donuts for our wedding dessert donut wall. They were a huge hit! Very good donuts, and a great deal. Wish they had a few more varieties to choose from, but we wound up getting 4 different kinds, and then adding sprinkles to make even more variety, which worked well. Guests dug into donuts during cocktail hour so I guess they were a hit. Delivery options would have been great, but the team is short staffed at this time, so completely understandable.

Love this local donut shop. Has ice cream and beverages too. But the donuts are the winning prize. Tastes home made without the artificial flavors, sweeteners or preservatives. Cant say the donuts are made holistically but they do taste like it was made in grandmas kitchen. Would recommend making a trip to eat these delicious donuts!

I really like this place, they offer a fun variety. My mediocre rating reflects their more recent tendency to close shop or alter hours without updating either their Google info or at least having any adjusted hours indicated in their voicemail message (which, by the way, the inbox is Always full so messages cant be left). The last time I stopped there, they had a note indicating theyd be closed for an hour, but not the actual time frame they expected that to be. Good cafe, even with price increases its still worth it. But unreliable hours is disrespectful of others time.

Used to come here all the time after high-school. They were amazing then! Went here again to see if they were still amazing, nope. They had maybe 6 kinds of donuts compared to the 20 they had before. Prices rose too, but thats inflation for ya. Didnt even end up buying and donuts because they didnt have any of the good ones left. :/

A delightful experience of courteous, efficient, and study service. Easy to find and reach, located in a good area, right off the freeway but just enough to not be noisy.They had a nice variety of donuts, and displayed well, and I was able to select what I wanted quickly, and got it handed over to me in clean and appealing packaging.The place felt welcoming, clean, and safe. I definitely will order here again.

The services was friendly, just unfortunate the coffee well none of us thought was good. 3 of us order coffee and not one of us liked it. Ended up going straight to Holiday gas station to grab different coffee.

We came here Saturday morning around 11am and it was awesome. They have a fantastic selection of fun donuts...We especially loved the Cookies and Cream one! It was super affordable, very clean and excellent service. You should definitely swing by this place!

A few things we wanted off the menu they didnt actually have... and we were not greeted or spoken to until we ordered. But the donuts were good and reasonable prices.

Haven’t been to get donuts in a while and was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by today. They now have the donuts in a case so the customer can really look at the selection and the store is super clean and staff super friendly. I had a pumpkin donut, and hands down, it was the best donut I’ve had in a long time. I ordered other flavors for my family and they commented they loved their donuts too. I will definitely be visiting more often as the donuts have really improved and taste great!!!

6/5/2020: We attempted to try Cafe Donuts & Ice Cream for the first time yesterday evening. We arrived at 7:10 PM. They were closed. I asked a gentleman, whom came outside to collect the sandwhich board, what time they closed - to which he responded, 7 PM. They have not updated their hours, online, to reflect what probably is due to the pandemic from 8 PM. We were super to not be able to celebrate the last day of school with a cool treat from here. 2 stars because the gentleman who answered my question was kind.

The fact that it has survived for years says it all. Yummy donuts and ice cream that has established it’s reputation in the neighborhood by its products. Apple fritters are a trademark. I can’t even describe how amazing the apple fritters are!!!

We love Cafe Donuts. Coffee is great with free refills. I have never seen such a wonderful variety of donuts. All of the staff are really wonderful but Tracy is a standout with her service and personality. Always a pleasure.

They have a good selection of donuts and coffee. Its also a plus that they are combined with an ice cream parlor. The reason I give them 3 stars is because a couple times now, the donuts Ive received havent been the freshest. Ive only had their coffee once, and it wasnt great either. I will still go here, but hoping to see improvement in the consistency of the quality.

Fun little donut and ice cream shop. They have a large selection of donuts, everyone I have tried is very good. The ice cream selection is smaller, but still has good flavors. A good stop for donuts in the morning and afternoon or evening stop for ice cream. They also have an early bird special for donuts, if you order before 7 AM.

This is the second time weve come in to the Champlin location, WELL before closing (6pm on a Fri), and they havent had any donuts.... My fiance wanted to get me some donuts as a valentine dessert and the donut place was out of donuts? Disappointed.

Dont bother with the bagels. I grabbed a dozen and they were at least a day old (rock hard outer layer). Had to drive to a grocery store to replace them. Wouldnt have minded as much, but I asked her if they were fresh from today.Donuts were good though.

Tasted good but my filled donuts were very skimpy on the filling.. even from what is usually in the donuts. Leaving such a low review because it seems every time i go to this location the filling gets less and less. Prettu dissapointed

Cafe donuts is the first place I’ve been to in months where the employees don’t wear masks while handling all your donuts and allow dine in when this location is officially marked as “Takeout”. Then they proceed to talk all over the donuts when grabbing them for you. 🤢Last time I’ll be here until this all clears up

I go here every Thursday and every Thursday Tracey knows exactly what I want. They provided donuts for my wedding and my guest were blown away. There is nothing but the best donuts here!!!

The cherry cake donut was amazing! The guy working gave us quick service and was kind enough to get us waters as well.

We order cake online for Saturday,on thursday i contact cafe donats and they said that my cake will be ready to pickup on Saturday.On friday morning recive message that the order is canceled. NEVER WILL COME HERE AGAIN.Our son Birthday is on Saturday and no cake.

We have been going here for years and they always have great ice cream and donuts!! My son loves the superman icecream ( vibrant colored sherbert like icecream) and I love the Eskimo kisses, (chocolate, fudge pieces and coconut) Fresh donuts and really kind service. We love coming here!

We ordered a quarter sheet cake and couldnt be happier with the quality, it tasted freshly made and had excellent flavor.

They are closing down permanently, so selection is limited. Not worth visiting at this point.

I went there with my kids to get some donuts and i felt really disrespected by how all the workers came out at me with attitude. when all i did was get donuts but my kids didnt like the donuts couse they didnt look good. WILL NOT GO HERE ANYMORE. NOT VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE TO ME. SHOULDNT COME OUT WITH A ATTITUDE.

Ice cream is great and staff is friendly! The doughnuts are dried out and taste as if they have been sitting out a while.

The doughnuts are amazing! I found this place on accident and man it was a fantastic accident. The variety of the doughnuts and the quality of the few I had were fantastic. Havent had their ice cream, but they have an ice cream shop in the place too. Also tried the iced coffee, and boy is it strong. But dont take if from me because my favorite iced coffee is from McDonald and to coffee drinkers thats not coffee. Give this place a try and your sweet tooth will thank you.

Friendly lady that worked there gave me 2 muffins for the price of 1 because they didnt have the lemon poppy seed I was hoping for as well as extra donut holes. Great first time experience,highly recommended.

Important to know that Quiznos is out and Cafe Donuts is now in at this location (as of June 2011). Ice cream here is good and donuts are yummy. Be sure to stop in and try things for yourself :-)

We love this local shop and always having sprinkle donuts was what set them apart. However, they recently DRAMATICALLY cut back the amount of sprinkles they use and it is very disappointing.

I havent had donuts this good in decades! Wow, amazing. The Bavarian Creme was so delicious -- usually, the BCs have great tasting cream filling and bland donut part -- not so here. The cream was so flavorful and tasty, but the raised donut part was also delicious. If I hadnt already gotten a Butternut (oh, yum) and a Sour Cream (mmmmm), I would have gotten a Glazed just to have more of that yummy dough. Then... let me tell you about the cake donuts -- again, AMAZING! The outside has that bit of crispness to it, then the inside is moist, soft and so flavorful. These are the best! Ask them why when you go - surprise!I also want to mention that the staff is just terrific - friendly and helpful. I took my 90-year old mom there on her 90th birthday. They gave her a free sundae. And, let me tell you, the ice cream here is wonderful, too. So rich and creamy and flavorful. They have fun and interesting flavors and will let you taste. I highly recommend this place.

This place frequently is out of doughnuts! The ice cream is always freezer burnt with ice in it. I love the doughnuts when they are available, but I find myself walking in and walking out empty handed more often then not....

I have been here twice now, and I have to say the second time was better than the first. I went around noon on Monday this time. The donuts were significantly fresher than last time (I am assuming because theyre freshly-made for the beginning of the week). One thing I have enjoyed about this place is that they have a very good variety. I believe they have around 30 different types of donuts. But as always, there is usually some detractions for every place . . . .Both times Ive been here, I have to say that I prefer their cake donuts. This is contrary to my normal inclination towards filled/raised. Their raised donuts seem to get more stale a lot faster. Besides the fluctuating freshness, I have another qualm. The filled donuts have a very small amount of filling in them. I love chocolate and vanilla cream donuts. I used to get them at Dunkin Donuts all of the time when I was little and they were so sweet and creamy and bursting with filling. The tiny amount of filling in Cafe Donuts version kind of ruins it. There is way too much cake to filling, and perhaps that contributes to the dryness/staleness factor. I end up throwing away part of the donut every time because its just too much for that small amount of filling (about 1 Tbsp or two if youre really lucky that day). I am totally serious about this, not exaggerating at all. And these are not the only filled donuts that have this problem. It seems to be a problem with ALL of their varieties, even the bavarian cream (another favorite of mine other places). I have tried nearly all their filled donuts and it is a major point of contention.If this place can get their ducks in a line and put more filling in their donuts, I would be happy. Its a decent place because of the sheer variety and unique types, but the lack of filling in something called a filled donut is kind of disturbing. I hope they can take care of this problem and stop skimping.
