I dropped in just a few hours before they were closing yesterday. They were very busy due to the 4th of July holiday, but they took care of my tire and saved my weekend! Every one of the many places I called before them was either already closed or unable to help me.

An alright experience. Got my oil change but they forgot to reset the light. So I had to pay more money for some other company to see what was still wrong with the engine just for them to tell me that. Plus, no sitting down. Even if you are already. Fine with that, would have appreciated a heads up when I called a half hour early though.

Attention customers!!! Beware of these hoax car mechanics, few weeks back my Chrysler Sebring convertible (75k driven) stopped working. Overall condition of my car was excellent, with the ray of hope I towed it to these very well-known car mechanics in town, they checked my car and charged me 85 dollars / hour, but couldn’t reached to any conclusion and told that my car engine timing belt has been broken, and probably because of zero tolerance engine, it might have affected the car engine badly, and suggested to replace the engine which would costed more than 4000 dollars. After spending 700 dollars just on diagnostics, these people could only reach to one conclusion “replace engine”.Devastated by this, I had to sell my call at junkyard price and was purchased by a mechanic, after few hours I got a call from that mechanic, that he drove 60 miles with my Chrysler Sebring, and he told me that he just replaced front exhaust can which cost him 22 dollars in parts and one hour of labor.I lost my car as I relied on these car mechanics hoaxes, who claim to be the best dealers in the city, but seriously doesn’t know anything about car fixing OR did they do this intentionally?Moral of the story: Never rely on such big car mechanics/dealers, who are in this business just to loot you !!!I did not just lost my car, but lost my trust on these people!!!

Horrible experience. The front store associate was very unfriendly. The service was terrible. They incorrectly installed a tire sensor and punctured my tire.Edit: I was a customer but they refused to admit it. The national service number did not help either.

I went there out of necessity, I got a flat tire on 74 West. After State Farm could not find me a tow truck after two hours of sitting there in the cold, I called J & K paint and Towing and they rescued me. However, the man driving the tow truck seemed to be an escaped serial killer. They were closing as they towed my car there, I had to come back the next day. Of course, they had to remind me of all of the s*** that was hanging off of the bottom of my car and how Im broke and how I need four tires instead of just the one that popped. My girlfriend paid the man, and the good part was that we were only there for about 40 minutes.

They completely helped us (Leigh) get back on the road when I was traveling for a advocacy group. They listened to my concerns as it was a unique problem for that car and I made it home safe. Thank you!

My right front tire made a thump-thump noise. First we rotated tires to see if it was a tire problem. It wasnt. Next we did a ball joint. Same noise. Now we did shocks & struts. No better. Finally we replaced the right front wheel. Guess what.. thump-thump. Im done with this place.

Weve used Tires Plus for tires, batteries, oil changes, and other items for years.Fast service. Quality employees. The same managers have been there for over a decade. That says something regarding their commitment.They will NOT try to add on services or parts that arent necessary, unlike some other auto repair places.

We were stranded after a late night punctured tire. We were at the shop when they opened on a Sunday morning, needing to be at the airport in Chicago in a few hours. Leigh and his team found the right replacement tire, had it brought over from the warehouse, and installed in 90 minutes. I could not be more appreciative. Strong work!

Charged me $30 just to remove lug nuts & didn’t even remove them. Great service!! (Update) went to Big Tire & a guy no more than 115 lbs got every lug nut off by hand. I will never be going back to tires plus & making sure everyone I know doesn’t take their business there either.

This Tire Plus has excellent service with staff that have a courteous and polite attitude. They do everything efficiently and follow directions well. This is a long-standing shop with the same owner, and he does everything to make you feel comfortable and explain the issues with your car. I like the location because you can cross the street to Lowes or the Chinatown buffet or the Red Lobster for dinner, and then retrieve the car afterwards, even when theyve closed. They make it convenient for you that way. I highly recommend this Tires Plus.

My daughter had a flat on the interstate and was towed to Tires Plus for repair. They patched the tire and told her she had a very bad ball joint and should not drive it to her job in Bloomington. Told her it would be 400$ to fix. She nursed it home and was hours late for work. I bought new ball joints and done both sides for 80$ and neither one of them were even slightly worn . In other words they LIED to her and cost her a days wage . Total con artist. Dont spend your money here .

Lee, whoever he is and whatever position he holds was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Im traveling with a rental and was told by the rental company that this business has a contract with them and will fix my tire. I arrived 15 minutes before they closed. Explained my dilemma, he tells me they close in 15 minutes but the tire fix takes 45 minutes. He says he can do it the next day but I need it done now as I have a flight to catch. He says,, you can need all you want . I dont know if it was the look I gave him or what, but he changed his mind and said Ill take care of you. Why not start with that response? First impression are everything! I hope you dont treat all the people that walk through your doors like you treated me. What a nasty, unprofessional, and unwelcoming attitude. If I could give zero stars, I would!!!

Went in for new tires. They tried to sell my girlfriend a $40 lug nut, just one lug nut, because they said one of mine was stripped(their doing). I ended up replacing all 10 lug studs on the back hubs of my car because they were seized. Obviously I cant prove it was tires plus, other than the fact that they were the only ones to take off and put back on my wheels. I own and use a torque wrench, which is more than tires plus can say.

Always a pleasure bringing my auto into Tire Plus. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, do a great job. Nice to know I dont have to worry about things being done right on my vehicle as they always are. The employee;s are ready to answer any questions I might have. Good service and fast. Didnt talk to me like I was a stupid college kid that knew nothing, which was refreshing at an auto shop. One thing I found interesting, though, was they listed on my invoice that my cars mileage is ~15,000 miles less than it actually is. Im not sure of the reason, but still I definitely recommend.

I have been here a couple times for oil changes and some routine maintenance. They make it real easy to get work done via their work hours (including Sundays), great deals, and the ability to request an appointment online. Last time I was there for some new brake pads and needed a rotation done on my wheels on my 4 Runner and I was in and out in about 1.5 hours with my appointment. Price has always been reasonable and I have no reason to not keep coming back. Good, solid shop.

Well as tire stores go, this is much better than average. Never tried to take advantage.

This is a little out of their realm, but my wife and I broke down on the interstate while riding through the area on our way home. Your tech Brumley showed on his way home asking if we needed any help. He worked diligently and even had Lee (his supervisor) bring out a few specialized screwdrivers to help fix the problem. All this at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Although he was not equipped to complete the job, he was however able to get it fixed well enough to ride the bike home. Thanks guys I really appreciate the help.

Few weeks ago I took my Toyota Corolla to fix the maintenance repair. I did my engine tune up to fix the error showing in the engine. Back brakes are adjusted and my serpentine belt is also replaced. Overall now I feel very comfortable and my car is running smooth while driving on the road. Their quoted rates are reasonable compared to other places.

I have only been to this tire shop for tires. My car has rather rare tire size so I can’t go just anywhere to get my tires changed. The tires I need are low profile, fairly big diameter and also very wide (235/45R17). They are also usually quite expensive.Tires Plus is the only place in town that consistently has these tires and their prices are better than anywhere else I have ever found them.

We had our truck towed here after it wouldnt start. We were told the engine is blown and would completely need to be replaced. We were shocked and decided to get a second opinion before spending a few thousand dollars on a new engine. We had a family friend look at it and it was a simple fix. In fact, the problem was with the starter, not the engine. It was a 160 dollar part and the truck started up perfectly. Be careful going to this place. Completely dishonest!

You would think changing a tire would be pretty standard for a place like Tires Plus, and they did fine at that. Or at least without any obvious screw ups. The experience would have been fine... except somehow, they drained the battery while changing the tire (clearly they can screw up things I never would have guessed). They said something about accidentally leaving the key in on during the whole tire change procedure, fine. Even then, I could see them informing me, apologizing, and recharging the battery. No... they jump started it in their shop, put it in the parking lot, had me pay, gave me the keys and said all good. Of course, I get to the parking lot and it wont start. Really guys? Did you imagine it would recharge itself in the 7.5 seconds it took you to drive it fifteen feet? Did you think I would somehow think you didnt screw up if you just didnt tell me? They come back out, jump it again, tell me I cant do any of the errands around there I was planning because I need to drive it long enough to charge, and without so much as an apology. After all that, they had to gall to quote me a price for a new battery, at which point I couldnt help but laugh and just left. Drain the battery, waste a ton of my time, and offer me your full price service for a new one, without the slightest apology. Thats Tires Plus for you. Save yourself the trouble and take your car somewhere else.

Not recommended! They use extremely misleading business practices regarding scheduling and appointments. I called early in morning to set an appointment for wheel work over lunch hour. I was advised that no appointment was necessary and theyd get me right in at noon. That seemed strange to not set an appointment, so I asked again if I COULD set a noon appointment to ensure quick service at noon. They confirmed that it would NOT be necessary. Guess what? I arrived at noon and was advised that they could NOT get me right in and it would be at least an hour and a half!! So why wouldnt you set an appointment for me? Is this some way of loading up the shop at the expense of added customer waiting time? Needless to say, I went elsewhere and was fit right in. You should be ashamed, Champaign Tires Plus!

Husband went in for a nail in our Range Rover tire, left with a scraped rim and tire. Not to mention engine lights alerting us of tire pressure malfunctioning. Next day GM/ franchise owner offers $200 and says take it or leave it, as if he was doing us a favor. $200 for a $1100 rim and $700 tire that your establishment ruined? Will not be returning there ever again.

I have been going here for more than 10 years and I always have a positive experience. I feel that the people there are honest and helpful with explaining any issue with my car. They usually get my car in quickly and if they are unable to do so, they let me know and give me an aproximate time for service. I appreciate the staff at Tires Plus and will continue to take my care to them for many years to come.

I went in for an oil change today and dealt with the manager. He was very pleasant and treated me right. Would hihgly recommend them. I bought 2 tires and he gave me a great price.

Went in for a leaky valve stem (tpms sensor type) and I needed it fixed quick before a long trip. They were awesome. Diagnosed the leak, replaced the core and my caps with sealing types. Done quick and they didnt charge me since it was so simple. Wouldve been easy for them to tack on a diagnostic charge, valve stem rebuild, etc, but they didnt. Nice, efficient, competent service. Will return to them again.

These guys really helped me out. My car died in the middle of the road and the towing company brought me here. They were honest with me with my repair and said it had a 50/50 chance of fixing the car. When it ended up not fixing the car they discovered a fatal problem. They worked with me and handled the situation very professionally and kindly. One of the fellas even dropped me off at home when I had to walk there. Awesome service, thanks so much.

Worst service I have ever experienced. Mechanic says he put $25 dollars of gas in my vehicle but when I turn the car on, the tank is on E. Lied to my face and way overcharged me. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF OR LIED TO.

I had new bearings and struts put on both sides from a different (and wonderful) mechanic, and when I went to have an alignment done here, they told me my mechanic had done something wrong and that they couldnt do the alignment because my bearing was very loose. They told me I had to replace the BRAND NEW bearing AGAIN. They took me back to see how loose it was and from the looks of it, my tire was loose. He could move the tire back and fourth, and told me the bearing was loose. He said itd be another $400 to replace it again. (Mind you I had just taken it to have both of my front bearings replaced). I called my mechanic, and he asked me to bring it back in. My mechanic took my two tires off, showed me my BRAND NEW shiny bearings and put my tires back on. The best part is- after they tightened the lug nuts on my tire, THE TIRE WAS PERFECTLY TIGHTENED AND JUST FINE. long story short, they tried to scam me out over $400 by loosening the lug nuts and showing me my loose tire. Never going back

Went in on a coolant leak problem, they said it’s going to cost me over $2k for the repair, and when I said no, they charged me $30 dollars for the inspection instead of $19.99 like they said in their price tag. I would not recommend this place.

They claimed to have balance the tours on my car, left with the same problem as when i went there. Returned to the shop where i usually go, and it was confirmed they did not balance my tires, the same weights were still on the tires they had place on them prior to my trip.

Worst experience ever they told me they would warranty my tire, and there would be no cost to for me. I bring my car back and after they do work now tell me I have to spend another $100. The manager Blake Good was rude. I feel like they just took advantage of me because I am a female. I think they just wanted me to spend money instead being honest so I could fix the real issue. I came here to change my tires because frankly, they were going bald and I didn’t want to skid around the rode in the upcoming Fall weather. They gave me a great deal and they set to work on my car. I was just waiting in the lobby area and one of the technicians comes and asks me if I’d like to have my wiper blades replaced as well. He noticed that I had bought them but hadn’t put them on yet and they were lying across the back seat of my Corolla. I said yep, why not, and come bill time, they had popped them on there for no charge. It’s the little things that keep me coming back. Their attention to detail is second to none.

Terrible, unprofessional, and dishonest employee at location. avoid at all cost! they charge ridiculous high fees for mount and balance for tires. i have had one tire replaced at this place and they have cheated me with the tires they have provided. i have requested a run flat tire just like the original tire on my car to be installed as a replacement but ended up getting a non run flat tire at the price of a run flat tire. it was not immediately found out so i ended up having the wrong tire on my car. they also got the wrong load radius as well for the replacement tire. they also messed up my black painted wheels in the process of remounting my tire. very unprofessional and dishonest

I have a 2009 Honda Civic, and I have driven that thing into the ground. It has been on numerous road trips throughout the US and it has never given me a problem until about a month ago. I noticed that when I was turning, my car seemed to be shifting in some way, listing to the side. This worried me. I took it in to get it checked out to Tires Plus (because as the name suggests, they do more than just Tires) and I talked to Lee. They performed a check up and confirmed my fears – I needed new struts, it was time for new brakes, and my stabilizer was broken in half on my rear axle. Hmm… not great news.I was still reeling from all this information but Lee talked me through what was necessary and what could potentially wait a little while longer so I could save up some moolah. The stabilizer was an immediate need, and I decided to do the brakes too because I knew that would need to happen sooner or later. I left the struts for another day after confirming that my car wouldn’t fall apart on the road.I really liked dealing with everyone at Tires Plus because they didn’t try to give me the run around and push me into all of the things that needed to get done. At the same time, they were straightforward and I respect that. Hopefully this review helps others make a solid choice about where to bring their car. They’ve won my business.

I’ve been here a few times for brakes and alignment adjustments. The pros are the online appointment scheduling, online coupons, and they’re open o Sunday. The cons are they can get behind schedule quickly. On my last visit I was there for 3 hours for an oil change, wheel rotation, and alignment adjustment. This was with an appointment. They will try to sell you tires on the spot, but you can always say no. for the work I’ve had done, I’ve thought that the price has been fair.

Hello! I am rating Tires Plus 5 stars for how great of a comedy show I had a few weeks ago at the store. Let me explain. It was a cold windy day in March, and I was getting ready to head out for lunch. As I was approaching my car, something seemed off. When I say something seemed off, I mean my car was leaning to the side like you do when youre getting ready to rip a real juicy one. This could only mean one thing! I HAD A FLAT TIRE. A friend of mine changed the tire for me and had the hardest time getting the thing off. It was harder than your wife telling you that she is leaving you and taking the house. Anyway, as a typical millennial I whipped out my phone and went straight to Google. My search went something like, Best Tire Services in Champaign. A few places popped up, but none of them were open after work. So, I decided to wait until the next day. Luckily, Tires Plus was open bright and early. I took my flat tire in and it was patched by the end of the day. This is where I met the only other character in my story that will come into play later. It was the store manager and he reminded me a lot of Bob Vila from This Old House. Bob rang me up and told me the price of fixing the tire. It left me a little disappointed to find that I had to pay nearly $30 for a service that could be done for cheaper elsewhere. It was as disappointing as opening up the cookie jar to find no cookies. Now that my tire is fixed, time goes on and life is going great, but there is a plot twist that came and slapped me upside the head. It was another cold day and I was hustling and bustling to get ready for work. I barely had my left shoe tied as I was stepping out to the garage to get to my car. When I flipped the light switch up, my car was illuminated and something seemed off AGAIN. I thought I was having a bad dream or experiencing Deja Vu. All I thought was there is no way in heck the same tire is flat. By golly! I get closer and examine all 4 tires to find the same dang tire is flat. I was fuming hotter than the sun itself, and had to take a few seconds to woo-sah. I drove my car right back to Tires Plus and Bob Vila was at the desk again. He remembered who I was and I told him I had a flat again in the same tire. They took the tire back and got it fixed right away. Once the tire was finished they told me ANOTHER hole was in the tire that they had to fix. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES ANOTHER HOLE IS IN THE SAME TIRE WITHIN 2 weeks? I thought for sure there was not even a remote chance this could happen. Bob Vila told me he had seen it before, but I just scoffed. I left again disappointed with not only the fact there was another hole in my tire but I got taxed another $30 for a hole, in the same tire, within two weeks. Please refer to my name on how I felt. For those who dont want to scroll up, I got Ben T. Over. The story gets better yall... For those who have stuck with me this far, please continue reading. For the next few days, I was confident that my tire would go flat again. However, it did not. I was getting ready to go on a big trip in my car, and decided it was best to get a new tire to replace the one with two patches. I drove up to Bloomington and went to Discount Tire. It was like Chick-Fil-A, but they were dishing out tires instead. The staff was so polite and helpful. When they changed this specific tire, I asked them to check it for any patches. The tire guy came out of the garage and into the lobby. He said indeed the tired had been patched, however there was ONLY ONE PATCH IN THE TIRE!!!!!! If you thought I was hot earlier, you should have seen me. My face was redder than a ginger that sat on the beach too long. After, I drove straight to Tires Plus. I rolled my tire in the door. There was Bob Vila at the desk waiting to serve. I told him to count the patches in the tire and he confirmed there was one. He said what do you want me to do, and I said I want my MONEY! He had the audacity to whip out his wallet and pay me versus putting it on my card from the store. DONT GO HERE PEOPLE! BOB VILA IS RUDE and THEY ARE LIARS!

Just last week I had a positive experience at Tires Plus. My car was acting a little funny and when the tires started squealing on acceleration from a stop I knew I had to take it in. Nobody likes getting work done on their car but it was a matter of safety at this point. Turns out my front two tires were completely bald. I guess I do drive a little fast sometimes. Anyways, they replaced all of the tires (the back ones needed it too). They only had 3 of the tires I picked out for a reasonable price but they gave me a 4th, better quality tire for the same price as the other three. I had a nice chat with the guys in the waiting area while my car was getting worked on. Glad I’m on my way again with brand new tires.

I was told I needed two TPMS and my vehicle said I needed one. I told them just replace the one the vehicle says is bad. I left and went to Tire Barn and they replaced the same TPMS that Tires Plus said was bad. They did not reset the monitoring system nor did they replace the sensor. But I was charged $80 for it. This place lied and did not do the work I asked for. They wanted me to spend another $80 for something I didn’t need. Tire Barn said the one that they supposedly replace was still the one from the factory. Do Not Take Your Car To These Thieves. I want to rate the a 1/4 Star if I could. 🤦🏽‍♂️

My wife and I took our car in to have our brakes looked at because they were making a horrible noise. I expected it to be an expensive trip and to my surprise my noise was taken care of for less than $40 by adjusting the rear brakes and replacing a broken spring. Thanks you Tires Plus for the honest cost effective repair. We are customers for life.

My son was referred to Tires Plus by Wal-Mart automotive personnel on Friday at 7pm. Wal-Mart and the Tires Plus website say they close at 8pm. When my son and I pull into the parking lot at 715pm they are closing up the store. We were told When its slow we close early. Excuse me! Then thats what your sign needs to say. I wonder if corporate is aware of this policy.

I brought my vehicle in for a four tire set swap. They recommended I do an alignment (which I needed to, but forgot to mention in the first place - glad they caught it) and mentioned my rear breaks were not in good shape, so they did both are an ok price. It was an overnight job since I brought in my vehicle late, but I wasnt in a big hurry. Alright prices and my vehicle is in better shape.

My car broke down on I57 on my way home to Chicago. Tow driver took me here and they could not have been more helpful. Spent the night at hotel across the street while they inspected my car. Turned out to be a computer issue and nothing was really wrong with the car! They did not even charge me for the computer analysis! These are guys you can trust! Thank you.

Im knocking a star off simply because theyve messed up my front axel replacement once and I ended up having no power in the middle of a busy road. I towed my car to their place at my own expense and they replaced the broken axel (which they just replaced a few days ago) with no extra charge.

They were friendly and very helpful. I got my oil changed and they were quick considering how many people were ahead of me.
