This seems to be the only place where a I can find a decent selection of curry powders/sauce. The selection at City Farmer’s Market was just sad even though they had a Malaysian and Indonesian section. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that they have a decent selection of Malay products since Penang restaurant is right next door.Although this is a Vietnamese Market, they do carry products from other Asian countries. It seems like they’ve been cranking up their seasoning and tea selection in recent years. The even added new shelves just to accommodate more seasonings.Since it’s a small store, they organize by food category rather than country. (I.g. All the tea is in the same aisle)Tea selection: Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, BritishCurry Powder: Indonesian, Malaysian, Indian
The person named Amner was nice and great service
Easy location to get to. Has lots of Asian products. You can get vegan and vegetarian products here. Not a huge selection but definitely a good amount.I wouldnt shop here for the fresh produce though. Usually you can been in and out the store fairly quickly.I usually pick up a few things when Im in the area getting food from Harmony Vegetarian Restaurant.
Great selection. Many products from a variety of East and Southeast Asian countries. Every time I go to Hoa Binh, I buy too much stuff. Of course, I always enjoy it later and am glad to buy sooooooo much.
I came here to get a persimmon tree. They have great persimmon trees
Love the vegetarian selections, they have everything for a vegan! And the durian, you should have a try, taste so good...Much cleaner and have lots more products than I went there last time. Definitely will go again.
Tons of interesting things to explore and buy. Love the up beat in-store music.
If I had about 15 to 30 minutes of your time Id start telling you about my childhood going with my mom and my Pops to this supermarket. And thats just when I was about like eight or nine, putting this about over 20 years ago Im guessing. Dont quote me on that I was a kid I dont remember man.But man I have mad love for this supermarket, its more than a grocery store will you pick up stuff for Sunday night dinner. I swear you had all these Savory and sweet goodies that you be like asking mom to Dad to get you some, because you have been good in school or you did the chores at home.I mean at this point I must have about 10 to 15 minutes of your time right? If not, Tldr: they got your crunchy roast pork, they got your Chinese BBQ pork, they got your crispy roasted duck, they got your soy sauce chicken, and they got your fresh sugar cane drink. Thats just to start with, take some time walk around get what you need to have a little Asian grocery shopping spree. My little picture right there, all that stuff was freshly made you could see the steam caressingly syran Wrap. Warm to the touch, tantalizing to the nose, and a sight for these Hungry Eyes
They have one of the biggest vegan freezer section I know. I love it
This store used to have double its inventory many years ago. With all the competition out there, it has now begun to decline. Less take out meals to choose from, broken down and empty refrigerated areas. Today as I went in, there literally was no customers. I was the only one. Two employees working up front. I then realized the entire Frozen area in the back where the seafood is was broken down. No Seafood in the aquariums, except for two tilapia fish. And one was floating upside down. So sad.. Black mold on the ceiling from leaking pipes. I remember this place when it was in its prime.
I only got to spend 10 minutes in here, but j was impressed with the place. Im definitely coming back for one of those ducks!
Both the sign on the door AND the website says it closes at six—last time i checked, 6:55 is a liiiittle bit before 8 pm. the laziest thing you can do as a business is have incorrect hours of operation. drove 30 minutes to get here and will not be doing it again, disappointing.
Their prices seems to be lower than others. And they have eggs during this crazy stay@home advisory period.I understand that they have lots whole sale biz to restaurants. some updates were made to make this place more inviting to retail business.
Great location for duck and roast pork. Good selection of goods for the pantry.
Always been a good market to go to. They have rearranged it and have a lot of stuff in stock. Excellent !!!
Great service, nice and attentive lady manager Rebecca
The place to go for whole or half roasted duck. Cant get enough! Make sure you request the duck caldo with your order. Im tempted to try the whole roasted pigs they have to offer. Highly recommend.
Great pricing
I like nice associate good service 👌
This grocery store won a place in my heart long ago when my Mom brought my sister-in-law here and she freaked out because an employee was pushing a huge dead pig down the aisle in a shopping cart. Mom got a good laugh about that and so did I. We do drop in frequently and buy their spring rolls that are made fresh each morning by a grandmotherly lady. The spring rolls usually are all sold after lunchtime. Youll also find roast duck, a variety of Asian frozen foods and all sorts of drinks and condiments.
Awesome market filled with Asian delicacies you wont find at a regular marker. For adventurous foodies for sure
They had all the hard to find items. Tons of parking and Great services too.
Good good selection. Great prices. Friendly service. Everything you needed an Asian market.
Good food. Lots of snacks that you cant find anywhere else.
Really great prices. I don’t think anybody have gotten sick from buying food there because for sure nobody in our family has gotten sick.
This market has gone downhill fast within the last few months. The only good things here were real chinese barbecued ducks, pork and char siu by real chinese cooks. They were the best in this area. Now it was taken over by someone else. The ducks and pork are dried and tasteless. There are nothing left here that makes it better than any other places.
Good roasted pork 👍 !
Staff very helpful, quick to assist. Variety of products from Vietnam. Prices very reasonable..
Cost - 5 / 5Freshness - 4 / 5 (fish are fresh | depending on the days vegetables as well)Cleanness - 4 / 5Variety - 3.5 / 5 (a lot of seafood and spices, but not too much on vegetables) Helpfulness - 3.5 / 5Appearance - 3 / 5 (this is an old mid-size building that has to fit a lot of their items. the store is overall decent)
This is one of my go to stores when I dont feel like the hub-bub of the Buford Farmers market. They have a little of everything. The produce doesnt have a huge selection because of the size of the store but they always have very unique Joss paper. The service isnt friendly but its efficient.
Excellent selection. Service Great.
This business used to be located on Cheshire Bridge Rd - and then relocated to its current location on Buford Hwy in Doraville. The products stocked and for sale cater to the Vietnamese and Chinese demographic. Prices are very competitive with other local Asian grocery stores. AVOID the awful Chinese b-b-q business inside this grocery store - the over-priced grilled/roasted/soy-sauced meats are the not of the best caliber(preparation-wise).This grocery store stocks the best brands of imported rice and has the best prices for rice in town.Selection of produce is small. Selection of fresh seafood and meats = so-so.If you need hard-to-find Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines ingredients, this is the place youd most likely find it.
This place is so big. They have a ton of Asian food thats hard to find elsewhere. Unfortunately, they dont have some things (umeboshi candy and sour dried plums) The staff will eagerly help you find something to buy - just be careful. The stuff they recommended to me last time I visited was awful. (I dont recommend the dried red plums)
Not good
Adequate selection, but dated store in need of some updating.
They have Cafe Du Monde coffee and I cant find it anywhere else.
Dirty feel but Authentic. Hard to choose here over h Mart or farmers market but they do have a few things those places dont like hanging bbq pig and duck and the green oil. Otherwise missing a lot. Kind of a last place to check if you cant find it elsewhere.
Ive been getting the Cantonese duck and pork here for over 20 years. That is truly the gem of the store. Ask for extra au jus.
Favorite asian shopping hole in this part of town.
Great duck and the place for banh mi bread
Overpriced, over-taxed. I only bought roasted pork rib, 2 roasted pork head. The sub total is $68.53 but they taxed me 8% and the total is $74.01! I still have the receipt with me if anyone wanna see the evidence.
Love their wide selection of mock meats
Decent small Vietnamese grocery.
The smell will run you out the door and the workers are a bit rude to non-Asians, but I come back for the roasted duck and fresh sugarcane drinks.
Grrrreat Seafood! Esp tha G Shrimp!
Best duck and spring roll
Nothing special about this place. Its just what you would expect from a grocery store around this location.
Food lacked seasoning. Had the shrimp and vegetables.
New owner with bad customers service
It looks small but seems to have everything
Bad customer service
Good shopping

Had my order ready when I needed it

Food is not very fresh. Small food to buy if you need less
I have come here for a reasonable price so I would love to come.
The environment is very ugly
Well

Stinky durian is super delicious
There are far fewer people today.
