Very nice staff beautiful furniture and art pieces with some glass alot to take in well worth a visit
I LOVE the new location. It is set up with each room featuring a host of treasures. I have known the owner for many years and he is both friendly and genuinely honest. Go see them for a fun day if antiquing and discovering new favorites!!
Very lovely place. Setup is everything and they got it right.
Mike and David are knowledgeable and fun to visit with, always happy to see new customers as well as old ones. The 8,000 square feet of gorgeous antiques and vintage items in every category imaginable are all extremely well arranged in vignettes throughout the store. You can spend $25 or $25,000. Or, find a nice place to sit, take a deep, cleansing breath, and just look around. Ask Mike about the large, gorgeous falcon prints or the antique Chickering piano that impressed even the Chickering specialists. The massive black, 17th century Austrian cabinet with the original key and about 50 drawers is amazing. They even have a huge, brass bird cage that is identical to the one used in Alfred Hitchcocks movie, The Birds, and Im not sure it isnt the original. In the front room, as you enter the building, turn to the left and check out two of the most gorgeous antique Persian rugs youll ever see, one of which is blue and cream, which is a rare color combination for rugs of this type and age. Over next to the fabulously ornate antique grand piano in the front room, to the left of the jewelry cabinet with old pawn Native American turquoise jewelry, you will find the most interesting, ornate wooden music stand intended to be used by two musicians during a duet performance. Also in the front room, carefully displayed on an antique Sheraton dining table is a Japanese court tapestry, hand embroidered with 24k gold wrapped threads and fine silks, that once hung over a royal bed. Not to be missed, though, are the hundreds of incredible oil paintings and beautifully framed antique prints that line the walls in the hallways and hang on every wall in each separate room, from absolutely every era. My favorites are the small oil paintings of the playful puppies and kittens that hang so perfectly in one of the small galleries. And be sure to ask to see the two sweet English bulldogs that belong to Mike and David.
One of my new faves. They had a massive warehouse full of beautiful finds, but even though it was a warehouse it was still appropriately staged. Some places make you dig through junk to find good stuff. Not here. I found a gorgeous antique buffet, and I got a great deal on it. Friendly and helpful staff. Super cute puppy dog assistant. Store was in perfect order. I love it, and I will be back.
Awesome store and awesome owner! Huge selection of high quality and unique items.
Great place with lots of variety. There is always something new every time you visit.
Best hidden antique store in chamblee. Mike, the owner is a great guy and has a lot of knowledge. Since the move from chamblee plaza he now has an outdoor area with a growing collection of outdoor decor. Love this place!
My wife is a turquoise fanatic. We were in the store recently and Mike (one of the owners) showed her a bracelet she really liked. I was not next to them and didnt see exactly which one it was. I came back a few days later and Mike was able to point me to the exact bracelet she was looking at. He offered me a great deal on it and I just gave it to my wife for our anniversary! I am impressed with the selection of furniture they have and the super-friendly service I received at Charleston House Antiques.
The best place to visit while in Atlanta. Very nice people and amazing things. David and Mike are really great
Huge variety of really interesting pieces. Range of prices which are appropriate to the value of each piece. All in an unassuming strip mall location - a hidden gem (even if in plain sight!). Go, you wont regret it!
A hidden gem!!! Go here if you are looking for ANTIQUES in great condition.
Very nice things to see here and there staff was very friendly! Signed Norman Rockwell was a fav of mine!!
Chamblee Georgia is the place to be and Charleston House Antiques is a gem of a shop that you should visit yesterday. Theyve new to me (not Chamblee) & Im doing my bit to spread the word.Theyre finally sprucing up the large strip mall where CHA is housed and its amazing the difference some fresh paint, signage, & asphalt has made. (Not to mention the Homegoods/TJ Maxx that are reportedly on the way.) They have a wonderful selection of antique/vintage/modern furnishings, furniture, art, etc. at great prices sold by friendly knowledgeable people.Go. There. Now.
A little on the more expensive side. Reminds me of buckhead, golden circle, Cheshire bridge shops.
Nice and clean
