Excellent experience. Had the tow truck take my truck there thinking my transmission was done with. These gentlemen diagnosed my issue the next business day in the morning. Contacted me about the repair and had it fixed and I picked it up the next day. Very trustworthy and friendly people. What probably would have been a $4500 repair at many transmission places was actually only a couple hundred. They even called me about a week later to check to make sure everything was good to go. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop. You will not be sorry! These guys are a fresh breathe of how things should be. Items fixed that are broken and no add ons of unneeded ones. Definitely my shop now and the one I am referring family and friends to use.

My exhaust broke loose and I had to tie it up. I reached out to Cat who go me in the next day. I drove my car over and they took it in. As they reviewed it they showed me what happened and options to fix it with costs. It was all done quickly and it was a smooth transaction.

Excellent and they will tell you what is wrong before doing anything to your vehicle in order to give you the option to do the work yourself on your vehicle. Especially where State inspections are so involved! Carl the manager is a wonderful man and very professional. He will chat to you about anything while you wait! He is extremely knowledgeable and he loves to talk about his wife too.

We had such a good experience with Carl. He replace not one but two transmissions in our pathfinder. He also replaced cam ors. Both times he was efficient, courteous, professional and quick to get the service done. He dealt with the salvage yard and insurance companies. We didnt have to do anything. Which was a relief because they were difficult to deal with. I would highly recommend CAT to anyone.

I can’t give CAT enough stars! These are good, honest people!! I had my van towed to them without having the slightest clue what was wrong. CAT was able to provide me everything that was wrong, as well as options on how I could get it serviced and pricing options WITHOUT even charging me! Most places want you to pay just to even have it looked at anymore. My van was done in a timely manner & I was kept up to date throughout the entire process. Everything was a smooth, easy process and they walked me through everything. I even got a follow up text from Carl asking how my van was doing a few days after I got it back. Never has anyone taken time out of their day to do that anywhere else I’ve ever gone. Again, good people!! I can’t thank CAT enough!

Carl from CAT was very professional and took the time to explain everything to me prior to doing any work on my car. He gave me price break downs as well so I knew what to expect. They completed a brake change and an oil change on my car in a timely manner and he made sure to give me phone calls throughout the process to explain what needed to be done so I understood. Carl was polite from the get go. My car had been sitting in a parking lot for a few weeks and his first objective was to get the car towed to his shop. He communicated every step of the process and how much things would be. He was even willing to start working on the car with half the money down. There were issues getting the part in, but this had nothing to do with Carl or the shop. I would recommend the shop to anyone for car needs but especially if your having transmission/clutch problems.

CAT did a great job welding my muffler on my truck. They called me saying it was going to be more expensive than originally quoted, so I appreciated the heads up on that. Would recommend them to anyone.

These people were great..dealing with a full cvt replacement on my nissan was light work to these guys. They made everything a breeze even towed the vehicle for me..(for additional cost ofcourse but nothing crazy)They strive to do the best they could warranty wise and kept me up to date on everything. If you have questions just call them theyll answer anything..its not easy taking a financial hit when it comes to a full transmission replacement and I was treated with respect and all in all there empathy felt genuine towards the situation..if youre going through a transmission problem I feel for you trust me..but if you want it done right....CAT is where ya wanna go

Incredibly honest group of guys. When they tell you something needs (Or doesnt) you know they are telling the truth and not pulling a fast one.They give you an a very upfront idea of what things will cost and what things could cost more down the road if they come across them. No oh I found this issue that will cost you $600 more while your car is halfway torn a part so you have go with it. Needed my AC fixed!😱😱 Typically that comes with a big bill and prolonged labor time. CAT discovered the issue and had my AC up and running in 2days! Bill was VERY friendly. They had my vehicle in and out! Highly recommend!!!!!

When my vehicle broke down, i called CAT to have it towed. Their tow truck driver had already left for the day but he returned in order to tow my car. The driver even took me to my destination before taking my car to the garage. CAC repaired my vehicle in less than a day and charged less than what i was originally quoted. When i opened my car door to get in, there was a note that said, all interior areas that was touched by the technician had been sanitized. They even gave me a complementary face mask. How do you top that ?

They put a Jasper motor in our 2005 F-150 and did a great job. Very pleased.

En route to South Carolina, my son, his dog and his friend became virtually stranded in PA due to the car’s alternator dying! But with the help of CAT Auto and some other wonderful businesses in Chambersburg, he was back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. Had a transmission replaced in my Jeep Liberty. Everyone was friendly and they explained the process to me. Work was done very fast and Jeep is running perfect now. Will go here for any transmission problems in the future on my other vehicles.

It is hard to find a mechanic that is trust worthy and does the job right. This place guarantees all their work and wont tell you that you need something fixed when you dont and a lot of garages seem to do that. You may be able to get a better price somewhere else but when this place fixes something it stays fixed.

CAT has always been very professional and honest. I found out about them through a friend, and have been using the garage since I was in high school, I most recently asked them to replace a part on my car that I had asked other garages to do, whom told me they would not. CAT actually listened to my request and changed the part I had asked them too. they listen to your input and take your concerns into consideration I will use them in the future for my needs.

They were very informative about what needed tobe done as well as how long it would take to fix it. If anyone ask; I assure them this is the place to go.

Took my car in for an ABS issue and they had it taken care of in around 48 hours. The diagnosis device told them it was a bad sensor, but upon closer inspection they found bad wiring and saved me the cost of a new sensor.

I had a radiator replaced at Chambersburg Auto Transmission, and whithin 400 miles of driving, the car began overheating and leaking coolant. When I called to inform them that I suspected there had been an air pocket in the cooling system (which any reasonably good mechanic should know to purge after opening any part of the cooling system) which caused the overheating, the manager on duty denied any responsibility, claiming I had somehow caused the damage.I was not looking for a free fix for a new issue, nor did I lead him to believe I was. I simply wanted to know when they could look at it to determine what the cause of the new issue was. He vehemently continued to deny responsibility for the issue (I never accused him of being at fault) and refused to look at my car until the following week.Not only do I think Chambersburg Automatic Transmission is employing irresponsible, corner-cutting mechanics, but I believe they must run into this type of issue commonly, due to the managers overly-defensive position when asked about the new issue.I would not recommend going here for even a simple oil change, much less any extensive repairs. 0/10 - Dont waste your money here.EDIT: We took the car in to Scotts, about 2 blocks down the road from CAT, and they found the issue, (air pocket in cooling system) had it purged and replaced an O-ring that had blown due to the pressure buildup in the cooling system. $20.13 and less than 30 minutes later, the car is running beautifully again.
