Went to store today around 4:20 pm asked for a belt the lady working said parr’s is closed I asked you can’t just get me a belt she was very rude an said no parr’s is closed I don’t recommend this store after the rude staff it would have took her 2 mins to grab that belt but refuse to very bad staff

Since new owner toook over a year ago Chalmette True Value is a super place to go! They honor military with military discounts. New owner is retired Navy! All of the people are super and put the customer first! They have a great service department for lawn mowers and other small power tools! They are number one in my book!

I called what I thought to be a hardware store that carried limited marine supplies — referred to by another customer — and asked, Hello, are you the hardware store that carries marine supplies... But before I could finish my question, the man answering the phone said (very rudely) something along the lines of Were done with that and are now a True Value, please take us off your call list, and then hung up. First of all, YOU NEVER HANG UP ON A CUSTOMER! There were plenty of other supplies I couldve picked up from their hardware store on the way down to my boat slip. I simply wanted to know if I could make it a one stop shop. Because of this rude response, I WILL NEVER go to or refer anyone this store. Not an appropriate way to handle your transition to True Value. Good luck, fella.

Bought the wrong 1/2 socket 2 days ago. Brought it back today unused with receipt and was told i was unable to exchange because the tag was off. Will never do business here again.
