The woman who works here has a big chip on her shoulder and walks away claiming she had to use restroom when another employee confirmed what I was saying on a part. I can understand the stress of the store changing ownership and name but can tell when someone is faking going to the restroom to probably going to have a melt down, I only wish I remembered her name because I sure would post it. And I wont be shopping here again too much estrogen for my taste.

Pep Boys is such a genuinely nice human being and he makes you feel right at home. Im not supercar savvy but my brother who went with me kind of is and he told me that the price I was charged to get my brakes and other things fixed was a good deal! Pep Boys very communicative while working on your car and keeps you updated which is nice also

I go to Pep Boys at this location in Artesia on South Street they have been pretty honest in what repairs my my van needs I will continue to go until they screw up hopefully thats never theres a lady that helped me the last time that did a very good job letting me know what I needed and how long it would take the repairs were done no complaints thanks

I went into the store and scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. I told them I was going to drop the car off the night before. the next afternoon after dropping my my car off I find out they didnt check the drop off box and didnt know my car was there. Then they call and say they didnt have the Mobil 1 oil I needed (it was on the shelf in the store). I had to argue with them to get the oil change after they discovered they had the oil. Couldnt provide the correct alignment sheet to show they did my car, Didnt check the air pressure in tires. Wanted to argue with making it my fault I had problems. Management and service writers dont care about the customer.

Dont take your car here! I went for 4 New tires and an alignment. I had custom valve caps that were taken or they forgot to put back on. They stated they replace everything with new parts. They were able to reimburse me for them. Once I received my new Caps that I ordered I go to put them on, to find out all my New Valves are stripped! Dont waste your time! Take the drive to Firestone! Total inconvenience!

Needed one head light for chevy Equinox replaced and they said it was too complicated and wanted to charge me by the hour to change 1 head light!!! Drove to small repair shop down the street and got it done for $25 in less than 10 minutes

When you go for an oil change and you order Pennzoil you expect to see a Pennzoil bottle not some funny looking container. And you should be able to pick whatever oil you want not be persuaded to pick what they want you to pick. Theres a lot of oils out there to pick from they only want you to pick pens oil or mobile what I really want it was to try the Castro.

Good prices on parts. The store has really improved over the years (visually) been coming here for more than 10 years. However I’ve noticed they have been understaffed lately the employees seem busy all the time or they don’t have enough of them. It becomes frustrating waiting 30 min in order to pay for something small like car wash soap or oil. However they are all friendly people which is a plus. The outside of the store could use some work it’s showing it’s age.

Horrible customer service associate Connie has no knowledge of auto parts/ tools and repair! She hung up on me the first time I called and then of course denied it the when I called the second time she couldnt even find the chart of loaner tools what a waste of time! BS management here no value being added just another paycheck! Go get some education to actually help people instead of wasting peoples time.

Customer service is horrible. We had an appointment for 9 am on 11/6 for an oil change and to investigate a whirling noise. At 3:40 pm I decided to call them to figure out where we were at with the car, 7 hours after scheduled appointment time and no one had called us. Get on the phone with Jorge for him to tell me we didnt have an appointment, which was a lie I have the email and screen shot to prove appointment time and date. Then to be told Im doing the best I can and it is what is. The workup and quote wasnt done and they would call us back later. Also wanted us to leave our car overnight for them to maybe get to it tomorrow.This is honestly not the first time they dont honor our appointment time but it will be the last. Im so dissatisfied with the customer service here that its a shame. I dont understand how things get scheduled here but there is total mismanagement. At least call your customers to give them an update even if its a hey we realize your appointment was at 9 am and we havent gotten to your car yet you and wont for another x amount of time. Let the customer decide what they want to do! I have wasted an entire day without a vehicle for nothing to have been done to my vehicle. Last time we will be using this pepboys. The customer service used to be good but it has gone downhill in the service department! Go elsewhere or youll end up wasting your time, they couldnt even get an oil change done in 7 hours my car was there!

Dont come here if you have nice wheels. I got tires for my new polished wheels and they put deep scratches on 3 of my wheels behind the valve stems when they filled them with air and they left the sealant all over my wheels

The parts dept is pretty good 👍, but since they didnt have the tool size i needed to change one single sparkplug, i went over to service dept & asked how much to do the 15 minute job... to change 1 single sparkplug ( which i had in my pocket ) (in front of engine, very easy... I just didnt have the tool ... ).. He clicked buttons for 5 minutes & came back with a price of $ 197.00 (say what ?! 😵 almost $200 to change 1 plug in front ?!) I clarified...just 1 plug ..& he maintained a stone -cold poker face & said yup...what the hell ? AVOID not just because of price but because of A-hole personality 👎 👎

Bad experience! Sep. 23, I came to the shop to change the head light. I arrived at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Jorge was serving customers. He was very unkind and handled the things unprofessionally. He is not well organized. The headlight job was only 10 minutes work. When I paid the bill of only $42.00 service, it was 12:45 p.m. 2 hours 45 minutes for 10 minutes job of one headlight change. He should have been more organized and more prioritized in handling requests. I was upset. He is not kind as well as not smart and very slow with typing.

They kept on it and bought it from the dealer. Also they know what they are doing. To cut the story short nice place to do your repair.

They have just about any auto part in stock that you would be looking for. And anything not in stock they can get it for you very quickly. The staff is very friendly and the shop mechanics are very knowledgeable. Great hours of operation. Plus you can schedule service online. Fast and easy.

I came in for an oil change with an appointment scheduled at 10am. I have been waiting for over two hours just to get the oil change done and they finally just got to my car. They told me that it would be another 45 minutes. It’s 12:11pm right now and I’m reaching my limit in patience. Won’t be coming back if it takes this long for an oil change which only takes about 15-25 minutes to do at max

People (Tire Dept) dealing with customers are rude.I don’t think they care about the business. I wish I could have got some direct business relations department number to complain about the situation. That’s not how you do business and deal with customers.This is the second time I am visiting the store and still their behavior is the same.I believe that is how they trained to behave.Very very very unsatisfactory service. I wish I could have given some negative starts.

He estimated that I would be there for a few hours but he worked a few things out and I was out in half the time. The prices were very reasonable. I just chilled and watched Transformers. If you go there, talk to Jorge.

I had a rebate card that was going to expire sad to go and spend it theyre really nice and the lady helped me out to the spend all of it give me good advice on Im going to paint a barbecue and and told me about the degrees so I got the flame retardant one instead of just the heat resistant can they were very helpful answering my questions about my tire bouncing a little bit in the rear I will be going back to him so far they can take care of it some other place I recommend to go so far so good with my service with them

As if I wasnt standing right in front of him. Didnt care that I didnt make the 7:00 deadline, didnt care they didnt have the battery, just the attitude alone was a turnoff. Wont be coming back with that guy. Firestone or Sears will have my business.

I went to Pepboys to get a light bulb for a light inside my car the lady at the desk very helpful I used a rebate card and we decided since it was going to expire soon just spend the whole thing so the lady helped me again we got some heat paint so I can redo my BBQ Pit a few Snickers bars and a Cherry car scent have used your service before got four tires alignment in a few other things they are very efficient very nice and very informative on each step definitely recommend this place for automotive parts and supplies and service

4 HOURS to tell me they cant repair the nail in my tire because the tread is too worn out.They behaved unprofessional even just being greeted and checked in. Scheduled oil change over the phone. I was told it would take 30min. Showed up for appointment and told that appointments did not matter and it would take 1.5 - 2hr. 2hr later car has not moved from where I parked it. I asked for my keys and left. Never coming back to pep boys.

The physical service it self was good. I replaced my alternator that was going out and the installation part was great, but the customer service was trash. Ive never given a review for any business in my life, but this location was terrible. They tried to charge me extra for a extended labor warranty that wasnt included in the price before. Check your receipts before departure because they will over charge you.

I am a big fan of Pep Boys and normally get service at my nearest location. I am also a seasoned mechanic. Having an oil change done only a couple of weeks ago and having the representative tell me that the oil was low and I needed an oil change bothers me. I understand if I simply needed a top off of oil, however the oil condition should have been a no brainier on the fact that I did not need an oil change. Since I had trusted them to make the decision on a wheel alignment has me wondering if I really needed the wheel alignment, did they tamper with my oil and anti-freeze levels, and how trust worthy are they. At this point I am not impressed.

I got a nail in my tire had an emergency I was out of town. I asked if they could help me and do it fairly quickly for me. They told me no that it would be 6 hours wait. I left and went somewhere else and bought 4 new tires. Sears Cerritos had it done for me in an hour and a half.

My husband came to this pep boys to test his battery and buy a new one. He was told by an employee and service manager that they are too busy to help him. He went back to his car and it wouldnt start. He asked if they could jump start his car so that he can go somewhere else. They did that they were too busy for that as well. So now we are sitting in the heat for 45 minutes to wait for AAA to show up! I will never shop at a pep boys ever again!

I only go to Pep Boys when I NEED to. This store was clean and orderly. For a minute, I thought the Lyft guy was a Pep Boys tech, a little confusing. I needed headlight bulbs, but I needed multiples of each. I ended getting only standard style, 1. Because there was such limited supply of uprated bulbs, 2. There was no one to ask if there was additional backstock. They seemed to be understaffed.

This Pepboys has always been a reliable place to do routine maintenance like oil changes, brakes, batteries, and tires. The prices and work done are ok but definitely cheaper than dealer. I have never felt ripped off before. Service can be slow when crowded but service folks are friendly. We live close to the area so it is SOP to leave car there late morning and pick up before they close. Otherwise it is a long wait on the weekend.

Went to pep boys the one on south street to fix the engine belt we brought our own new belt, they completely ignored the new belt and didnt put it in. They charged us 53$ and did nothing, same belt still in new belt has been ignored and still in the back of truck (they gave it to us back)saying its fixed Mechanics name was ceaser and the manager who didnt go admit that the wrong doing of his employees name is mike. The manager was not helpful at all he was being idiot! If I could I would negative the stars Im very upset they wasted time and money, they lied about fixing the belt.

Customer service is just poor. I went to this location since it was on the way. If you come here be prepared to stay a looong time. Employees seemed to like gossiping with each other instead of taking care of customers or the check out line. Prices here are higher than other local auto parts stores. I asked for a price match. One employee laughed and said they wouldnt do that. Another employee said they would. After waiting 15 mins in the checkout line I was told to wait more for an advanced casher or manager. After waiting another 10 mins, the manager gave conflicting info on which local stores they would price match at their discretion. So no they do not price match. My whole time at this store was almost an hour to just buy oil. Instead of 10 items I only purchased 2. Youre loss Pep Boys. Two stars for the clean and organized floor. I wont be back.

Recent years, I experience having to sit in long lines at Pep boys and I receive slow service when I am at the register. The Pep boys staff are most-friendly. The Pep boys staff are with a great attitude; when they are available to help you. Once you get their attention, as they answer the phone or open a register, they will help you in that time-frame. A bit frustrating to have to go through, it causes me stress to shop here most of the time.The management should seek more training in customer service.I have been an Artesia resident since 1977.
