Milkshake and ribs were on point. cheese sauce over the fries tasted like it had horseradish and or mustard in it, it was good but it may not be your thing.

Absolutely love this place, only trouble I have is the fact my stomach just isnt big enough. First time Ive been here in the evening and it really was just like being in the Grease movie.Staff are always lovely and waiting times were good considering the busy time.If you get there early, they give you a pager and you can wait on the outside tables or in you car.

So ordered delivery from Hot Rod around 20:00. They said the food will arrive around 21:00. After a few calls str8 to voice mail trying to reach the restaurant I ended up with an e-mail with the receipt at 23:20(a 5 min drive to the actual address) saying the order was just delivered...to a different address:)) so instead of enjoying their burgers the hole household ended up going to sleep without eating after a long day of work, including disapointed kids. Guess feeding random people when youre hungry is a thing now:)) better then adding that extra pound, right ?Otherwise, the food is really good.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Such a hidden gem. They’re food is so good for both eat in and delivery. I really missed them when they closed during lockdown but glad they’re back now. My favourite and go to things are:- the JD burger- butterscotch milkshake- dessert waffles (any)- Jim bean chicken strips
Food was actually Ok.Selling 39p cream soda for £1 is a bit mad!Maple syrup was not it was golden syrup.Doubt Id return, Chef didnt look the cleanest but you know what they say lol dirty chef great food LOL

Me and my friend (both from Indiana) visited based on a recommendation from a work colleague. We were extremely impressed with the food quality and service. The burgers and shakes are better than some diners in the USA! Best american restaurant Ive dined at since moving to England and I cannot recommend them enough. I will be visiting again soon!

I visited here for the first time this evening . Great music and decor, and we managed to be seated in one of the booth type tables .As Im garlic intolerant, I always check the dishes before I order .Im also pescatarian, so I was quite limited for choices .I found the vegan/ vegetarian selection and spotted the goats cheese and beetroot burger .I decided to check with the server before ordering.We had the following conversation -Me: does the goats cheese and beetroot burger contain garlic ?Server : oh we dont serve anything from there any more . We only do falafel wraps .Me: oh they wont be any good, falafel always has garlic in itServer: I dont know, Im not vegetarian!As I was extremely limited for choices I had the mac and cheese, which was in fact pasta with cheese.A huge bowlfull, it was delicious.My partner chose the roadhouse burger, which ( according to the menu was served with salad).This arrived with a lettuce leave and a slice of tomato in with the burger . Not separate as the menu indicated .But my partner said it was very tasty and filling .We only had soft drinks, and a total bill of £20.90.So very reasonable.Would I return? If they offered more vegan / vegetarian options then yes.( and if they knew if they contained garlic)I have never been into a restaurant where the server has NOT checked with the kitchen if a dish contains garlic .I appreciate its an unusual food intolerance, but it would make any possible return visit a strong maybe .

Tasted bland unseasoned .steak was like it was boiled in water was thin and had no seaoning either .i waited a few years before i took the kids here and it will be a few years before we venture back for the food . Milkshakes where very nice and the waitress was nice too
Took a trip out here due to the reviews. Was wowed by the presentation and the lovely attentiveness of the staff.The food came out and looked awesome, but this is where things went downhill.I had a burger with bacon and chilli fries. The meat in the burger tasted awful, and the textures felt like there were spacers in-between (like fatty jelly).The chilli on the fries tasted bland, like it came out a can. The halepenos were all dried out.My wife had the same burger but bacon and cheese fries and echos my sentiments. My daughter had the puppy dog which she ate half of. Very disappointing.The one redeeming thing was the milkshakes which tasted great, hence the two stars, otherwise this would be a 1 star diner in my opinion. Please fix the quality of the food!

Not sure what all the fuss is about, it was ok but nothing special, better than Eds diner but nothing amazing. Service was average, and the server had to be told by the chef to serve our food. When the food came there was a hair on the plate, the guy took it away picked the hair off and brought it back to the table.Coffee was terrible.Like I said, its ok, I just dont get all the 5 star reviews.
Very disappointed with our visit food has gone done hill, my husband had the philly cheese burger within 15 minutes he was vomiting severely and admitted to hospital. For 4 days we can’t of course prove it was the burger but we know this was the only thing he ate that day. The burger did not taste right so my husband did not eat the whole thing thank goodness. Very disappointed after contacting the restaurant the chef was very abusive and swore at my husband telling him to f-ing go through the right channels as he gets these complaints all the time, which we have but seems we can’t prove it without the food please be careful if visiting. if anyone else has had the same experience this month please contact environmental health as they can’t do anything if people don’t complain.

If you havent been here. You alt to. My 1st visit was Wednesday for one of thier famous eating challenges. 4 chicken breast, stacked inside a bun, surrounded by a bag of chips with cheese on. Lovely food too, I ate it all and finished within the time limited of half an hour. My dinner was free. My second visit, another Wednesday night and yes another eating challenge. This time though you had to eat four massive hot dogs and another bag of chips but with chillie ontop. Smashed it, another free meal. My latest visit for breakfast this time, no challenges on offer. I had eggy bread, honey, blueberrys and bacon. What a lovely breakfast too. The milk shakes here are amazing too. Good friendly welcoming staff. Just a great place to go and eat.

Always a wonderful experience here.The food is top notch, the service excellent and very obliging, even when busy (which is fairly often, understandably) and their event nights are brilliant fun.My favourite time to go is breakfast as the pancakes are divine, but their Mac & Cheese is amazing too. Ive tried a bit of most things over time and they really dont have a bad dish on the menu. That, and the chefs are incredible.One thing I cannot stress enough though:Do. Not. Leave. Without. Trying. One. Of. Their. Milkshakes.These are the real deal; proper 50s & 60s, American diner style milkshakes, and are worth every single penny. My personal favourite is The Elvis.

This diner is amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the themed decor and music are fantastic. The staff are friendly and accommodating, theyre always smiling and they were dressed up for Halloween on our visit which was very entertaining. A lot of effort had also been put in with Halloween decorations. My friends, partner and I really enjoyed ourselves and our meal, definitely going again.

Great fun little food stop, friendly staff and an America based menu served to a nostalgia soundtrack. The milk shakes are worth a visit on their own and they also serve alcohol. Parking is available and is under cover. I think its a fab place :)

First time I tried this place. Based on takeaway experience it was good. The burger buns were nicer than the GBK buns, I had their chicken burger with maple syrup (replaced bacon with cheese). It was darn good. Very lively place with music. Had a great selection of milkshakes but unfortunately I’m lactose intolerant.I’m giving 4 starts just because I think it would be nicer if they had more chicken burger options for someone like my self that doesn’t eat other meats and dairy free creamer/ almond milkshake options for people who are lactose intolerant.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and food
We came last night and had a table for 8 people. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the burgers, shakes and hotdogs we all enjoyed our food and service was also very good. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend for families.

Went for a birthday celebration about 4.30 very busy maybe because last day of eat out promotion but all was handled very well by the staff the food was lovely and all felt very relaxed with staff working very hard to keep everyone happy our food was served quick and was really nice can recommend the brisket and if you want i have never seen so many southern fried chicken burgers being ordered i must have seen about 50 why I was there so they must had been nice will have next time you should visit this place
My first visit and straight after lockdown. I felt very safe, there was a requirement to use hand gel before entering & I saw staff using it regularly. Fantastic food at reasonable prices, we werent rushed in any way. Very helpful staff - would definitely recommend 👍
Its a time warp, you are transported back to the 50s. Fabulous food, fantastic music, brilliant decor and very happy waitresses. All in all, a wonderful evening
Burgers are good, fries are on the expensive side, as are the soft drinks. Desserts are ouch on the wallet and best left in their fridge. Best avoid the Rhubarb crumble cheesecake, overpriced, under sized and tasteless. The plus point was the staff, they all worked hard and our waitress was very helpful.
Staff were polite and attentive. I thought It well organised for social distancing. Great burgers and fantastic milkshakes!
