Love this place. Very honest and upright service. Went in to buy new bike rims for an old rusted bike I was trying to fix. Instead he offered a nice used bike for cheap.Its a great bike. No rust anywhere. Has a comfy jelly seat. White walled tires. Looks brand new. Had a flat on the back tire but I changed that quickly by myself. Definitely going back. His son helped me put my bike in my car.

It was a bad experience, I paid $79 for bike tune up and he did nothing, still same dirty bike no cleaning, brakes are not working now, I need to go another bike shop. I added the pic from bike shop website also and some pics after service, I don’t offer anyone.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$I m writing this after the response, I never asked for removing scratches or resurfacing, I left my bike two more days after you messaged me it was ready. I told you it was still dirty and you offer cleaning. I put the pics and still dirty, I cleaned and fix brakes, I won’t stop again

Just went in to the place to see what they have and maybe ask some questions about a Marin bike since they are a dealer. Guy in there did not seem interested to talk at all. No customer service what so ever. He just didnt care. Definitely wont be buying anything from this place.

Went in there and was not greeted at all. Owner or staff seemed more interested in other stuff then to attend the customers going in the shop. Simply pointed “that is all I have for sale” did not bother to ask what we were looking for etc. first and last time I visit this place.

The staff at the bike shop are very nice and know their way around bicycles. Every time I’ve had an issue with my bike (usually caused by myself being a clumsy) they’ve always told me exactly how to fix it and what parts I need. I bought my bike from them in 2018 (a Marin bolinas ridge for those curious) and I’ve received nothing but excellent service in my free standard tunes ups since then. I plan on buying my next bike from them soon when they have more bikes in stock!

I recently took a bmx wheel for truing and it came out excellent. I also took a wobbly axle for repair on my hybrid bike last year and they fixed it here. Service was courteous, polite and efficient. Thank you for having your store in our community! We are lucky.

Jeff and his team are great. I have recently bought a new bike and had them service three others. They know their stuff, offer fair prices, and great customer service.

Poor quality service and dangerous! I brought my bike here to replace the rear derailleur mount. Well apparently they ordered the wrong mount and then did a hack job to make it fit AND they did not bolt the mount to my frame. The only thing holding the derailleur mount to my bike was the quick release skewer. Afterwards, I brought the bike to two other shops and they both informed me that this was a poor job and very dangerous to not properly bolt the mount to the frame. The owner at The Bike Shop told me that it was one of his other mechanics that did the work and apologized.

Needed tubes replaced in tires. Fast and affordable

I would caution anyone new to cycling from bringing their bike to The Bike Shop. I wanted to support a local business but was left feeling cheated financially and left with a bike that was neither rideable nor safe.I dropped off my used road bike on Tuesday, May 26th. I received a voicemail that it was ready for pick-up a week later on Tuesday, June 2nd. At first, I was surprised by the total cost since in my initial conversation with Jeff, he left me thinking my total charge would be around $100. I dont know much about bikes and asked if it was now in rideable condition. He assured me that it was. I specifically asked about the gears as well. Jeff again assured me it was all in working order. I did not have an opportunity to ride my bike until Tuesday night. Ive ridden road bikes before and knew something was clearly wrong. It was neither safe nor ridable. After shelling out $186 to The Bike Shop, I could not stomach going back to an establishment that would cut corners in such an egregious manner.I took my bike to another bike repair specialist in DC today (June 3rd). He was shocked when I explained the situation. He explained that they hadnt adjusted the front or back derailleurs. He showed me where the fastening bolt on the front derailleur was loose and moving while tying to upshift. The rear derailleur hanger was off centered. He said it doesnt look like they checked for any of these issues which is supposed to be standard for any basic tuneup, especially a so-called deluxe tune up ($79.99) that I was charged for. My bike repair specialist said he would call The Bike Shop personally tomorrow to discuss all that he had to fix to make my bike ridable.Job number: 305542

I came to this shop not knowing anything about bikes,but I wanted to get in to it. The salesman asked me a few questions about where/how I plan on riding and recommended a few bikes based on that. I ended up getting a nice Marin with front suspension! Very helpful guys and really a great experience. A few months later I brought my bike in for the initial service. It only took two days and I had my bike back working better than ever. Nice shop!

Very happy with a more complex electric bike assembly and they solved a defective tire issue from manufacturing by replacing it. Really love riding it around and no major issues after 20 miles of riding! Thanks guys!

He forgot to tighten the screw on my rear tire. I got it with my rear tire jamming. If you are going to give your bicycle, I would recommend you to take a look at it after taking delivery.

I called and asked if they could bleed my rockshox reverb seatpost. (Which is an easy job if you have the tools) Said he could not do it. I would not take my high end bikes there.

WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!I brought three bikes in for routine service. When I went to pick them up nothing was done. The guy behind the counter claimed that the work was done and refused to give me my bikes back until I paid. Rather than fight with him I paid for it and left. I will never go back to this place. They are total scammers,

My bike had a flat tire so I went on Craigslist to find somebody local to fix my bike. The guy on Craigslist wanted to charge me 30 bucks for coming out to fix my flat tire. Then I Googled a local bike shop to get it fixed. This shop was only 10 minutes from my house so I went there this morning. The owner was friendly and professional. He fixed my flat tire and made a few adjustments to my bike all for under 20 bucks. I was in and out of there in only 15 minutes. So I got my tire fixed and bike adjusted and it was cheaper than the guy on Craigslist. If I get another flat tire or any other problem with my bike I am going back to this shop, believe that!
