As a New Yorker it has been extremely hard to find good bagels in northern VA, but Virginia bagels were amazing the next close best thing to NYC bagels

The only place to get a respectable bacon, egg, and cheese. Best bagels around! Seems to be the place to be weekend mornings.

It was a quick in and out, I got my everything bagel with Tijuana cream cheese and a cup of Chai (spiced) in less than 5 minutes and they tasted great.

We love this place. Our family eats here several times a week. The food is fresh and the service is friendly.

I lived in the Centreville area from 1997-2017 and my first choice for breakfast on Stone Road in route to work. I became first name friends with the two owners. Never had a bad bagel. They let me fill my travel mug with their coffee for the low price. The sandwiches traveled great to my office for breakfast.The weekends are fairly packed in the morning but worth the wait. I turned my Filipina wife into a breakfast bagel fan there.

Overcharged on purpose.Dont go here. Went to pick up an order. Owner asked me to put my card in, I did. He did NOT turn the screen around, did NOT hand me a receipt.. Then handed me the bag of 2 bagels.So was not given a chance to look at the screen to see the cost or decide whether or not to tip or whether or not I wanted a receipt.He charged me $11 for what should have been about a $7 order. ($2.3 + 4.3).My guess is he charged me twice for the more expensive sandwich then chose to add a 20% tip and he was calling for the next customer who started ordering right away before I could say anything.We just moved close by and would have been regular customers but I think he does this regularly and is able to overcharge without people asking twice.Lesson for me to always ask for a receipt anywhere I go.

(2) Sausage, egg, and cheese bagels - waited for awhile since it was busy which was fine but sandwiches came out cold which was disappointing.

Walking in, no one else there, ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Some other people walked in, placed their order and left. This happened at least 3 times before I received my order. Customer service is horrible here. Other Bagel shops in town to go to. First and last time there.

I always come by grabbing some food in here. I love the fast customer service and well prepared food. Highly recommended.

Prompt service. The bagel was perfectly toasted. I wish I would have known about the gourmet spread before ordering, wouldve loved to get the lox spread. The salmon was nicely cured. Fresh veggies, evenly spread cream cheese. Definitely worth a breakfast visit if in the area.

Never got to order or try the food. In the midst of Covid, they only allow one customer in at a time and I can’t see the menu from outside so I end up waiting 10 minutes for each customer to go in, place an order, and wait for it.. terrible idea especially when winter comes.. hope they figure out a better model like all the neighboring cafes that allow people inside to order

Always excellent, service is always friendly and warm. Food is made to order, which means its a little slow. Have patience, its worth it!

This spot is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I go the most. The stuff is very friendly and the food they place on your table is so flavorful. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

OMG, our breakfast was so good! Friendly staff, fast service, and good food! Steak and Cheese on cheddar bagel for the hubs and fresh nova lox for me! Will definitely go back!

Clean, nice and quick. Swing by there, before heading to the district court, across the street. Great location and look for the old red pick-up, that was restored, out front!

Good bagels. Price was a bit on the high side. Portions size was good, so that helps offset the price. Could use a lesson on what a toasted bagel looks like...toasted is not warmed over.

Nice place. Very accessible. The store owner is be very sociable. Theyre menu and bagels always taste fresh. They even customized a bagel for me (the 4M = 4 meat bagel which consist of sausage, steak, bacon, ham, & cheese) which is quite delicious. Nice place to sit in and watch television. You can hop on Starbucks wifi and browse while you eat also.

While it isnt a New York bagel, I actually liked it a lot, and so did the family. The way they make their bagels, they come out a bit less dense then the bagels Im used to in Brooklyn/Manhattan/Queens. The sandwiches on bagels for breakfast were great, went back to the same place the second day we were there lol.

The bagels were very good and they toasted it just to my liking. The drinks we got were also very good and we would highly reccomend the blueberry and pomegranate smoothie.

Incredible! The closest Ive had to a real tri-state area bagel in NoVA. Exceptionally friendly staff coupled with perfectly prepared bagel breakfast sandwiches makes this spot an oasis first thing in the morning.

It’s a clean friendly place but not changing glove is a no no. You can’t use the same glove that you touched everything else and then make a sandwich. I can’t at least change your glove before making someone sandwich

Been coming here since 2010. Love coming here and have become good friends with the two owners. WiFi is available through Starbucks right next door. Bagels are delicious. I normally get an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. Cheap and very fresh. I also get my bagel here and while its being made I go to Starbucks and grab a coffee. By the time I get my coffee the bagel is ready and its a great combo.

Bring reading glasses or binoculars to read their menu on the upper wall. Never been here, and I wanted to get something good, but could not see menu board. I asked for a menu. He told me to look online. Technology sucks when it replaces customer service..

Ive been coming to this place since 2000. I moved outside of the area but anytime Im close by I will get bagels from them! Love this place. Management is great and food is great!

Slow service. Ordered an omelette wrap, took 25 minutes while they made at least 1/2 dozen items for people that came in after us. Extremely frustrating especially when no one addresses you standing there waiting for food for that long.

If you are willing to wait, which you will for a long time if its crowded... the bagels are amazing. Management and staff could step up their customer service game a bit. But again the bagels are worth the wait.

VA Bagel sells the best everything bagel, hands down. Forego the Starbucks and enjoy a fantastic breakfast here!

Decent place but they have to fix their damn phone. It sounds like theyre in a wind tunnel every time I call. I like to place my order for pick up. I just tried to put two orders in and was unsuccessful due to this.Management come on.

The Bagels were always good. Weve gone here since before it was even called Virginia Bagel. It was fun to walk here with neighbors and enjoy a round of bagels together on a Saturday morning.

Walk in there this morning saw one of the workers at the window Girl watching with one glove on blowing his nose definitely definitely not GOOD...! lady in the bag that was making food but I was already turned off ... he did not attempt to change the glove or take the glove off after blowing his loadIn napkins wow what is full-service coming to ...... if this going on in front of the customer what’s going on behind customer ....!!!

We stopped in to try the bagels. The staff was polite. I got a classic breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese, bacon) on an everything bagel. The sandwich was ok. The bagel was seasoned on both top and bottom. Salt was in the seaseoning so I attributed the flavor of being over-salted to that. But we got some bagels to go. I had my cinnamon raisin bagel the next morning. It was soft but I could only have a few bits. It was so salty. It overpowered the cinnamon and saw one raisin but didnt have any in my few bites. I couldnt eat it. The plain bagels were better. I was disappointed and wont be back.

Showed up at 6:30a excited for some bagels. The front door was open and unlocked but there were two chairs in front of it blocking it- the lights were on inside but not on the windows. There were two people in the back getting ready for the day I presume, I called out to ask them if they were open and they didnt even look up at me. I saw another patron do the same as I was leaving. Disappointing. Hours on the door say 6am?

Dont like how they close early and you never know when they will actually stay open during the hours they advertise on their door or when you look them up on Google...when I see that they close at 3 I expect them to stay open till 3...Ive gone there at 2 and 2:30 when they were already closed...if you want to close at 2 or 2:30 then make a change to the hours that are advertised

Great bagels made fresh in house! Breakfast sandwiches use an egg cracked for each order.

They are very nice and attentive, especially if you get there when it is not crowded.Food is good. Bagels are good. Value meals can be kind of pricey, compared to Bodos Bagels in Charlottesville, VA, which is my comparison.

Bagels taste great but management needs improvement. Waited 30 minutes past the time they open and manager hasnt arrived to open store. Now 6:35am and they have 15 customers outside waiting. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic bagels for fair prices!

Got the pastrami bagel for the first time, am now clutching my stomach in extreme pain due to a bacterial infection I received afterwards. Not worth the cost of antibiotics and doctors visit! Would not recommend eating here at all.

Bagels are good, but the prices are much higher than similar establishments in the area. Service is ok, but it seems disorganized especially when they are busy.

Favorite place to get breakfast. Large variety. Popular and good food.

The employees only wear one glove when preparing food., I find that unsanitary. I watched an employee scrub the toilet with the same brush that she scrubbed the sink with, also unsanitary. I will not be going back again. That being said I will let my colleagues know to steer clear of that business.

The bagel was bad. I think getting it from panera or dunkin donuts is better. The order came out slow too when we were the only people waiting.

Been here a few times, and liked their bagels. Like everyone else says, though, they are slow. Today was exceptionally bad. I was the only customer, and I was waiting for 7 minutes to get two toasted bagels. I then realized what the delay was, as the aroma of burnt bagel filled the room. To my utter shock, the girl was scraping the burnt the bagel as if it never occured. They were totally black, and her plan was to just scrape, schmear and serve. I would not have written this review, though, if the owner/manager wasnt watching this all happen. He watched idlely and let the girl continue scraping and proceed to put schmear on. I asked her nicely to replace the bagels with bagels that werent burnt. Mistakingly, I stopped watching, so as to give them the benefit of the doubt that they would correct the order and do the right thing. When I opened my bagels a few minutes later, I disappointingly realized what I received...1 burnt bagel and 1 cold, untoasted bagel. The cream cheese was spread so thin, I barely knew it was there. I will never return to this place again.

Horrible experience the managers do not communicate. I was placing a catering order for bagels only the amount was over 100.00 they would not deliver. The managers do not have customer service and they lie. Do not order from them....
