I went to khan market here in Centreville and requested 3lbs lbs of ground beef 80/20. The gentleman pulled out beef and weighed at 4.26lbs. It had some silver skin and oxidized spots and said do you want me to clean it. I said yes thinking he will only trim a little the weigh again. When he finished he bagged everything with the label 4.26lbs. I said I have a recipe and need to make sure I have the right weight and asked him to weigh it. It weighed in at 2.99 lbs after trimming but I paid for 4.26lbs. I asked if this is normal and he said yes. I did the math and in total I paid $23.39 for 3lbs of 80/20 ground beef which comes out to $7.79 per lbs for 80/20. Thats too steep. First and last time for me.

Clean environment. Staff was professional and respectful. Meat was cut exactly as I requested. I plan on going back. I gave 4 star because it was my first time. Hopefully will upgrade to 5 stars after a few more visits.

Sorry had to change my reviews to 1 star. Stopped by here in a rush cus didn’t have time to go to my regular meat store. Nice store mostly carry Pakistani groceries, good fresh meat selection and frozen section. However I wasn’t happy with the way my meat was cut and packed. I asked for 6lb chicken minced meat; they packed it in a huge bag and didn’t even bother to give me extra bags when I asked. Also they didn’t clean the chicken properly before mincing it. It was watery and had huge chunks of fat in it. I asked the guy to cut my meat in small prices and his response was “do you want me to cut my fingers?”. My request to owners is that please hire a professional butcher.

These guys are selling expired items, when I went back to let them know and give me something else the owner guy was like “get out of my business” and threw the cash on my face as a refund. I did not go back there for my refund but just for an exchange but the owner was so rude that he almost attacked me in front of my wife. I wish he had put his hands on me and see the consequences. I should have called the cops the same time and put raid on the store. We found several other items were expired. Be careful customers and get the best you paid for somewhere else NOT HERE.

Owner is beyond rude. Selection of this store is a mess. Be sure to check the expiration dates because some of the daal and masala are expired. We bought frozen chicken from there, and it tasted old. Definitely will not be going backUpdate: I went back today after the change in management. The store is beautiful. Complete change from what it was before. Do not buy any meat from them. They are con artist. Today I got two whole chicken. The butcher did not weigh those chickens in front of me. While billing she got me charged for 6lbs of chicken which I weigh after returning home and it was a total of 4lbs chicken. Also extreamly dirty, not wearing any mask or gloves at all. Horrible experience. Never coming back.

ASCWW:I read some of your negative 👎🏿 comments you guys, but let me tell you what I saw-A lady, ordered a back leg of a lamb to cut into small pieces in three bags, when the guy gave her looking then she said this is not that much meat and I don’t want .The butcher told her that he showed the leg and agree to be cut-Even he called my dear sister,she replied I don’t want and left.Yes,they just bought the business less than a year about 9 months but honestly they improved very good and made the shelves full.

First time here today. Friendly and helpful staff. Store was clean and organized especially the butcher area. Prices were decent. Just ate the goat I bought today and it was delicious! Cant wait to cook the rohu. I will definitely come back!

If I could rate this place a 0 star I would! Save yourself go somewhere else! First of all it not only really smells bad, it’s also dirty, and the owners could not be more rude! They were arguing with a customer using horrible language with no regards to the fact I had my young daughter with me. I was completely uncomfortable and will never go back! Terrible place!

I wish I could give no stars. I went there for the first time to see what the store was like. This lady at the front of the cash register bluntly asked me how and why I got this fat?. Are you kidding me!!!! Is this how you greet your customers. You dont even know me. I will never ever step into this store again and will tell everyone to do the same. Owner and their staff all are very friendly. I bought goat meat yesterday from there. It was very fresh, cooked in my kitchen, it was so delicious. Quality of meat was super...I ever had in last 10 years. I recommend to everyone, please go and try there service meat, different kinds of fish and so much more...

I bought from this store multiple times. It was ok, but today my family was mistreated by the owner/cashier. Very unfriendly, does not know how to talk or deal with customers. Please avoid. There are better alternatives than store. I am disappointed.

My experience with Desi store very bad as well Just bought 2 whole chicken. Paid for 6.48 pounds of chicken. Went home and weighed. Only 5 pounds of chicken. Got pics to prove it. In the front and the back they’re all very rude . I’m wondering who gave an idea to open the halal meat store .. because they don’t have good service and They don’t know how to do the business . My advice for you all guys please don’t go there . they can take the money from you .But they will not give you Grocery which you paid . I will never go there in my life .

I will never recommend or use this butcher shop again. I was planning short ribs for company and decided to use this shop (I have used Halal shops before with good results and like to sponsor small markets). People were unfriendly, person who handled the order did not speak to me once and the short ribs were the worst I’ve ever seen. One rib was actually only bone and tendon. Others were oddly butchered. I ended up going to Wegman’s and buying more. If I could give zero stars I would.

Called trying to get pricing information on their lamb leg. The lady I spoke with on the phone was rude and tried to rush me off the phone. I was very frustrated when we finally got off the phone. They lost my business because of that.Response to the owner: The lady I spoke with didnt know pricing or anything like that. Im definitely not sure, but I wouldnt have guessed the person I spoke to was the butcher.

This place has no fair and justice at all, they are selling everything with high price please if you’re buying anything from this store check the price and quality. I bought dry fruits from this store at the same time my wife bought same dry fruits from another Pakistani store the green resins was 3.99 at fair price groceries market and I bought from here 7.99 for 200 mg wight. When I return the dry fruits they guy was denying for match the price or return it .I call the cops after calling the cops he did the price match, and doesn’t know how to treat the customer.They are just thinking about to full there account by selling high price .

The new management is okay but the guy who cuts the chicken is careless he doesn’t listen to you. I asked for very small pieces he looked at me like he is going to hit me or something and he did not even cut into small pieces and it happened two times. Poor customer service.

My experience with New Desi supermarket the meat department is very stressful place. The man workingIs very rude and disrespectful and I stopped to get in to that place.I ask my daughter to go and get some boneless 3-4 pounds of chicken thighs. I did know my daughrt is going there. They chrarged her $84+ for that amount of chicken? My daughter shocked and asked why the chicken is so expensive? The grocery that my daughter got supose to be around 12$. After that they apologized but that was too lade.If you go to that place please check your receipt before leave the store.

I went into this store by accident. My usual halal place is in Herndon. I live in Chantilly. Surprisingly this place is clean and the shop keepers are very friendly (perhaps it is less crowded now ;) ). Any case, I had a wonderful experience with my last purchase. Planning to continue.. in the near future if they continue the same quality and hospitality. It is a Bangladesh store. But has lot of Indian delites.
