A great little coffee shop! The building has so much character! The decor is fantastic! The employees are fast and friendly! The food is great and the coffee and drink selection is fantastic! Coffees, smoothies, craft beer, wine, and teas are available. The atmosphere here is so inviting! Whether you are looking for a sunny window seat where you can see and be seen, an open seating area for groups, intimate tables for two, a lounge area with a couch and chairs, or a small balcony overlooking it all, theyve got you covered! This is my favorite hangout and definitely my go-to place!

Very good espresso; smooth, a little sweet, almost thick. If you’ve never had an espresso black (nothing in it) I’d say this is a good place to try one. Also, it’s great to see that downtown has a good coffee place like this. My girlfriend (who is from Centralia) and I always stop by when we’re in town.

I almost cant believe this place exists in Centralia, IL. This fun coffee shop would more than hold its own in Chicago or Saint Louis, but is even more of a hit in an area where it is definitely unique. The food was pretty good, and the drinks excellent. The staff was very friendly. It was crowded, but still service was fast. The decor is great and the prices very reasonable. In fact, the only problem I can think about the place is that it isnt right next to where I live 🙂

What a delightful surprise discovery. My wife and I had no idea what we would find inside, we were just looking for a bite to eat. Couldnt have been more surprised. The food was really good, the chips, which I had never heard of, were outstanding, the frozen coffee was delicious, and the interior was simply wonderful fun. If we lived in centralia, this would be our spot!

Went there on one of my trips to visit in-laws in Centralia and this place was a breath of fresh air. First of all, the boys behind the counter were both polite and courteous, while being helpful and friendly at the same time. I was so taken aback by the variety of coffees and beverages offered on the menu, that I took quite some time digesting it, and they were super patient, which I was appreciative of.Now on to the beverages, I really wanted a Butter Beer however, I wanted to stay low on my sugar so I gave them a relatively difficult off the menu thing to do with the drip coffee, and they came through. The coffee tasted fresh and delicious, the decor was kooky, zany and fun...and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Clean, fun, imaginative...this is JUST the kind of place Centralia needs. Love it!!!

Should open a little earlier than 8am. Avocado Eggspress was a little too salty and I wouldnt mind paying more for an exotic/luxury house coffee. Good service and atmosphere otherwise.

Their coffee crafting talent is sub par. I asked for 4 shots straight espresso not thinking ANYONE could mess that up. I know I can be difficult at times but jeeeze! I ask for exactly what I want 4 shots expresso, 3 pumps sugar free vanilla over ice with a SPLASH OF HEAVY CREAM. Yuck! I got half a cup of heavy cream and it was discussing. I get it, youre trying to be a small town hip joint, you got the cute look but NOT the product to dish with it. And to top it off the new girl tried to charge me more than what Starbucks charges for the same thing! Not close! Not impressed. Cool looking place, lacking in talent.

One of the best coffee places around. Excellent food and drinks. The Rail constantly is doing fun and creative events. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the quality of ingredients does justice the cost.

Rail House is a neat little place with great food and amazing chai tea! It compares price-wise to most other places but the food is superior to competitors. The service is excellent and they always have something new and delicious to explore on the menu.

We love the Rail! Very family friendly, the staff is considerate and genuinely friendly. The menu options are truly great (always adding new items, changing items and rotating favorites)! We are so happy we have this gem in our town! I highly recommend checking it out if youve never been.

Cool atmosphere but way too expensive. Only 3 sandwiches to choose from made on regular bread$8.50! Unless you want a grilled cheese for $4.50. I had a bowl of soup and sandwich and seasonal coffee $17.50! Without a tip. Parking is practically non-existent better know how to parallel park for the one spot available. The food was good, service was quick but they need to upgrade their menu choices and become more affordable or they wont make it

Rail has given Centralia a very past-due and relaxing environment to enjoy some coffee. While the menu is sort of limited, it has items that you cant find anywhere else in the area - cappuccinos, lattes, espresso, hot tea, and cold brew to name a few. I didnt try the food, but I expect to in the near future. I moved away from Centralia to Houston where there are plenty of coffee shops and cafes. I have to say, this one keeps up the pace with the other non-franchised ones I have been to. Interior is awesomely designed with vintage railroad decor and wall patterns. This will definitely be a go-to every time I come back to visit. Keep it up Rail!
