I usually go to a couple places in Denver for hydraulic hoses. I stopped by today to get a hose made as I was in the area. I dont know if it was because I came from the office and was dressed in a polo or what. I asked about the price and was quoted $130. When I asked why it was so expensive, the reply was because its a hydraulic hose. I guess I didnt realize the hose I took off my excavator and brought to the hydraulic hose shop was a hydraulic hose... I asked if it was because I didnt have an account. I was told thats just the price. I told him Im used to paying $60 for that specific hose (I have multiple machines and this is one of the hoses that wears the fastest). I was then told the ends were $37 each... Well, I was there and needed the hose so I picked it up.I called the shop off of 8th and I25. Sure enough $60. I called the shop off 47th and it was ~$40.So congratulations you gouged a walk in customer. And you also lost a customer with a 8 pieces of heavy equipment that are constantly in the field. Ill be doing a Depot level maintenance on 2 pieces over the winter and replacing all of the hydraulic lines. You made it 100% worth my time to be a loyal customer and drive 50+ minutes just to avoid Pirtek.The gentleman, although ripping me off, was very polite. Almost gave 2 stars for his quick, professional, and efficient conduct.

After promising there would be no problems of making my hoses when it came to it they had nothing in stock.

Very pleased. Unfortunately we have went through more hoses this year than one could hope. Pirtek (once we finally found out about them) have been fantastic. 3 visits, never there more than 20 minutes while they built hoses/fixed pieces. Everything built while we waited of great materials. Never had to wait for some special order part. Fair costs in my opinion. Most recently we had a miscommunication on the sizing of a hose that led to a failure. Pirtek replaced it for free. I dont usually leave reviews, but these guys are great and deserve the 5 stars
