Worked with the owner on purchasing a snare drum, turns out he went to school in my neck of the woods, knows a few of the same cats as I do. (small world)...Anyhow, I wasnt sure on the look of the item I wanted so he took photos, texted them to me, did everything he needed to do in order to make me feel good about the purchase. Whats beyond awesome? Denver Percussion thats what. The staff there is Denver Percussion (beyond awesome, see what I did there?). They will bend over backwards to hook you up. More inventory than every music store in Colo. Combined. Been there got the T-shirt. Seriously I bought a T-shirt. Their Logo is cooler than the other side of the pillow.

I ordered 3 new crashes and a galaxy-sized 24” ride from these guys (all Zildjian A-lines), and I could not be happier with the way they sound, as well as the attention and service I received at the shop. I’ve shopped at several music stores in the Denver area (and Chicago), and I can say without equivocation that this was the most welcoming experience I’ve had at a music store since my pops used to own one. These guys mounted up my cymbals so I could play around with them and make sure everything sounded right, and even invited me to play around on one of their store kits. They have a great selection of cymbals, snares and hardware, and are generally just knowledgeable, kind people. Josh threw some killer cymbal stacking ideas at me that I am 100% incorporating into my new setup. Check these guys out – you won’t be disappointed.

This relatively new shop in the southern burbs of Denver has been focused on classical percussion education & gear rental until just recently but are now expanding their repertoire to include a very fine selection of sticks, mallets, heads, percussion, and cymbals. (And soon to be more in the drumset world as well).The space has two teaching studios equipped with high-quality gear as well as media aids like ipads, computers, and video cameras to film lesson for students.The owner of Denver Percussion is a highly trained classical percussionist, and the main drumset instructor is also a highly trained jazz drummer. Both guys have a great sense of humor and really know what they are talking about when it comes to drums, percussion, and education.If you are a drummer in search of a teacher to reach some deeper levels in your playing, this is the place.If you are interested in percussion ensembles, this place has those too! One for adults and one for kids I believe.Its very common to walk into a drum shop and feel like the people working there dont know what they are talking about. It is very RARE to walk into a shop where the guys know drumset AND classical percussion.

Denver percussion is THE best spot for anything and everything percussion in Colorado. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and can help you with any questions you may have, even ones you didn’t know you had! I was in recently and Josh spent over 2 hours helping me with tuning my drum kit to my liking and explaining things along the way. Their prices are great too. Denver Percussion was not the closest drum shop to me but I went to go check it out anyway and was extremely glad that I did! Dont be fooled by the back alley entrance, its extremely nice inside and full of top of the line equipment. I needed help picking out a new cymbal and Josh was very friendly and helpful, bringing me a TON of options based on what I was describing and liking as I tested them all out in the studio. It was really helpful because I dont always know what Im looking for. I also walked out with a vintage roto tom and a mount for a great price and Pete put it all together for me with a free new head. I work in the service industry and Ive rarely ever felt so taken care of by the friendly service and salesmanship that was only helpful and not pushy at all that I got at Denver Percussion. Also, if you go soon, they have a bargain bin of $2 drumstick pairs. Thanks guys, Ill be back!

Great guys with great knowledge. Ive known many of the employees for years and theyve never steered me wrong. I also took two lessons with Josh Byers and, despite having already played drums for 22 years and having a college degree in jazz performance, he was able to quickly and efficiently make a couple of tweaks to my technique that allowed more improvement in 2 months than Id had in the previous two years. Definitely a great shop.

Their customer service and communication is at the highest professional level. These guys would take off the kitchen sink if it would help you. After my drum set and cymbal purchase, they delivered to my home in Greeley a pro Yamaha set to use until my set is delivered. Pete is amazing. Wicked smart. How does he remember the exact mallets he sold my son a year ago? He can speak to every nuance and technicality in percussion. A truly trustworthy advisor.

The staff is really personable and not afraid to educate. I currently take lessons with Josh Beyers and feel my drumming has improved faster than when I wasnt taking lessons. I also really enjoy attending the drum events, because of the intimate location I feel I can ask more questions when my drum heroes are teaching.

Genuinely kind and helpful people here. Ive been interacting with Pete during the process of buying a vibraphone, and he has been great every step of the way. The first vibraphone I tried wasnt really for me (not a big fan of Majestics style and the quality of their lower-end sets), so Pete has lined up an opportunity for me to exchange it for a beautiful Adams set at the end of the summer. They have an absolute stockpile of various concert percussion instruments, and theyre willing to facilitate special orders if need be. Overall, I highly recommend them.

There is no place in the Denver area that is better to meet your percussion needs than Denver Percussion. In addition to providing equipment, instruction is offered. Josh has been my drum instructor for the past year and a half. He is flexible and personalizes each lesson. A video is recorded of each lesson from above. This state of the art technology is extremely helpful in practicing what I have learned. No electric drums are used for instruction. Josh and I both have complete drum kits in the studio. I couldn’t be more pleased with my growth as a drummer. In addition to taking lessons from Josh, Pete (the owner) and Sean bend over backwards to help me with equipment needs. If they don’t have it in stock, they will order it.Denver Percussion should be the go-to destination for all percussionists in the Denver area.

Could not be happier with these guys! I saw on their Instagram that they had the 2017 Blue Knights battery equipment, one of the most unique hardware and shell combinations. I knew I wanted a piece from that set, and Pete made it so easy. The price was right, shipping was exceptional (from Denver to my doorstep in Pittsburgh), and it was fun and simple.
