We called around for multiple estimates to replace torsion springs for our double garage door (prices ranged from $289-$400), and we decided to go with Precision Door Service as they were prompt and their initial price estimate over the phone was comparable to the other companies.. We were told it would be $219-installed with an additional trip service charge of $75 (expecting $294 max). When the technician showed up, he quoted us $550 total. Long story short, we lost $75 for the service trip and obviously went with a different company and still saved almost $200. I would not recommend this company as they wasted our time and money and felt like this was a bait and switch scam. I hope the company truly records the phone calls with the customers (as mentioned on their line when you call in) and are able to review the phone conversation to confirm this review. We called in on 11/6 at 11:08am.

Wow! These guys are the best! I am a realtor and we had an 11:00 am closing today. At 8:00 pm last night the buyers had their final walk-through...the garage door wouldnt work. I called at 8:30 pm thinking Id leave a message and hope someone would get back with me in the morning. Great service. Our technician was friendly and efficient, and precisely on time. He was in, evaluated the situation, and fixed old/broken parts in an hour flat. Total cost was about 35-40% more than what I heard others had paid for the same services from other companies and thats the only reason for the 4-star rating. I had such a wonderful experience with Bobby from Precision Door that this review will seem unbelievable. I was scheduled for 10-12, and Bobby arrived at 9 and was gone by 10. He replaced a spring and suggested replacing the rollers and pulleys. He told me the pulleys were ok, and did NOT pressure me to add the rollers. I balked and just went with the spring. Then as I questioned him about the rollers, I realized how cost effective replacing the rollers would be for a 20 year old door. I am SO glad I had him tune up the door. Before, it sounded like i suspect the tanks rolling into Berlin sounded, and now it is WHISPER quiet. GREAT COMPANY and GREAT TECHNICIAN!! Well worth every penny spent.

I first called other highly recommended garage door services who people in our HOA promoted. The earliest I could get a service tech out was four days out. I found Precision and they had a service tech here in 90 minutes, and he was gone in an hour. New opener, programmed remotes and key pad. Cleaned up everything and took away the old stuff. Tom was an enjoyable person to converse with while he worked too. He even explained the differences in some other brand/model openers improving my confidence in the same brand I had, albeit 23 yrs old.

Donovan was amazing and so helpful.We had another company scheduled to do an estimate the day before. That company (Arvada Garage Door) didnt show and sent someone from another company instead who was two hours late. They basically said we needed all new doors, openers and that everything was in such bad shape it could not be fixed.Donovan showed up on time and went over our issues and concerns. He explained that even though our garage doors were old, they did not necessarily need replacing. He gave us three options and was able to do the work that day. The Tech, made contact as per their Office advisement, showed up promptly, repairs were made, without having to replace the 2 Car Garage Door. I have to say that making the appointment and getting the repairs done on my garage door was so fast and easy. My technician was super friendly. I loved that I could pay by card, I wish Id been given the option to pay online, instead of having to give my card to the technician. The downside was I knew Id been charged way more than I should have. Thats my fault though, I should have waited and made an appointment with the company my brother suggested, but I couldnt get a hold of him, so I went with Precision because I wanted it done today before it snowed.

I am very happy with the service provided by Precision Door. I had an overhead spring break on a Friday night and called Sat morning for service. By 11am a tech was working on it. He arrived an hour early after a courtesy call asking if that was ok. Donavan the technician, was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. After replacing both springs and cables he adjusted and tightened the entire door. I spent more than I had planned, but got a lot more for the money and was definitely worth it. Door works great and quieter!

We had an issue where our door would not fully go up or down. After googling may tips we were stumped so we called Precision. Their tech Adam arrived next day and made a simple reset then showed me what to do next time. He did not charge us all though he would have been well within his right to do so. My garage door opener had a catastrophic failure and Precision was able to get a tech out to me in less then 24 hours and replace it. Found broken garage door spring Sunday morning and Eli, tech for Garage Door Service, was there at 3 PM as I had scheduled online. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. He went about explaining to cost and procedure to replace the broken spring, which he had on his truck when he arrived. I enquired about cost of a new aluminum insulated door with windows and he got a brochure for his truck and showed my wife and I the different options. We chose to go with the new door instead. He talked to his office and told us the price with a military discount. He said it could be installed on Thursday or Friday because Wednesday was Thanksgiving. At 10AM on Thursday morning, Horace called and said he was on the way with the new door. He was also very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He had the old door removed and new one installed in no time. I was very pleased with the Eli and Horace and the services they provided to get my problem resolved so quickly. Make sure you know what you are going to be charged before doing business with this company. I called the night before and scheduled an appointment and was quoted about $300 to replace a broken spring. The technician was late and within 3 minutes of being at the property he let me know that both springs needed to be replaced and all the miscellaneous things. End of the day I was charged $850 (And that was a Special!!) and he was there less than an hour. I asked why I was quoted about $300 and he said the answering service doesnt know what they are talking about. Unfortunately, I was in another situation at a rental property and couldnt stay to further address the issue. Beware.

Called early and dispatch was able to get a tech out within 1 hour. Spring was broken as I noted night before. Within 1 hour and fifteen minutes Donovan replaced both springs, rollers-bearings and secured IR sensor on one side per my request. He also programmed controller and greased all moving parts on door. The service repair man, Tom was excellent. I was able re-hook my chain to my door before Tom arrived, but he still looked over the garage door for me. Tom hypothesis that my bike rack on my Suv might have pulled the release string loose. He lubricated the door and said it was in good working order and didn’t charge me. Great customer service. Next time, fingers cross if I have garage door issues, I am calling Precision Door.

Bill from Precision came to my house after I called for a garage door opener that wouldnt program. I am typically a do-it-yourselfer and had a lot of trepidation about calling in a repairman, as I have previously been price-gauged in these situations.Bill took his time carefully diagnosing the problem with my garage door opener, explaining everything to me along the way. Ultimately, I needed to replace the opener, but Bill was very respectful of my situation when I let him know that I couldnt afford the price he quoted me at that time. Bill actually encouraged me to do it myself and even gave me several helpful tips to use when I eventually did the work. He gave me his card with his personal cell phone number and told me to call him if I ran into any problems. The best part is, Bill didnt even charge me the $65 service fee I was told Id be charged when I made the appointment! Who does that these days?!My experience with Precision and with Bill was fantastic and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone having issues with their garage door or garage door opener!

Poor communication. My appointment was promised to be scheduled several times but would only get an update when I reached out. I understand being busy due to COVID but the lack of professionalism is apparent in this company. My garage opener stopped working 12hours after install. Tech came out and said the control panel needed to be replaced. I never heard back. About a month of no response, I called the main office to explain the situation and was told I would be contacted. I was never contacted so I decided to order the part that was said to be bad and replace it myself. I get the new part and it doesn’t work either. I start to troubleshoot and noticed the tech that installed the opener hand spliced a jumper wire to the existing wire in a way someone with no low voltage experience would do. No caps just exposed wire wrapped around itself then jumbled up in hopes it wouldn’t be touched. I ran a new cable because the original was not long enough and everything works.TL:DR - poor communication, bad installs, do not recommend.

Way over priced (nearly double) compared to the exact same make and model door install from another local installer. Not as good of warranty either. Plus the sales tech didnt know what he was talking about, couldnt answer my questions, and was inconsistent and unreliable in the information he gave. Surprisingly the emailed quotes he sent were even worse. Do a little shopping and find a better price from a more knowledgeable installer.

Was quoted more than double what other garage companies quoted me. (I called around after the repair) originally reached out and asked for a quote. They said the best quote is if someone comes out. Dude comes out and was rude and pushy. He said if I didn’t get the repairs, he was still going to charge me $75 just for coming out to give a quote. I was never told there would be a fee for an estimate. I ended up getting the repairs after haggling the cost. I still way overpaid for 2 springs and a cable. I called at 8 AM and had a repairman out by 11:30 AM same day. Fixed my garage door and it is better now than when initially installed. Also gave me a price prior to the work and did some add on service on my other door. Was done in 30 minutes. Amazing service! Thanks you!!

Tension spring broke on a Saturday, made an appointment Saturday night, they had someone out to fix it Sunday morning with no extra charge. The lady that made the appointments was very helpful, and Mitch was professional and quick about his work and answering any questions I had.

Called the number as I had a sticker in my garage from using Precision before. Should have called around! Upon arrival the quote for a spring replacement was $455. Between a rock and hard place, had to have it fixed, but lesson learned - will call around next time. Less than 30 minutes of work and parts cost do not equal that. Put an X over the sticker in my garage as I will not use this company again.
