Did a once over on a car I was looking to buy, seems honest and good price

I could write paragraph after paragraph about how great Dennis and Mike are -- most importantly, honest. Given that customer service is dead or dying almost everywhere these days, Im so thankful I have someplace so trustworthy to take my very important car.

Was in town for the weekend and broke my car (my fault, dont ask). As someone with no existing relationship I was dreading trying to get things fixed for my trip home, especially after the local Honda dealership told me thy couldnt see me before Thursday.Cedarburg Auto Repair got it fixed, on a Monday morning with little notice, two hours earlier than their initial estimate, and for an affordable price besides.Thank you!

I called and found out that this Auto Shop does emissions testing. The owner said they do testing from noon - 5:00pm but that noon - 1:00pm was the busiest time for them. I steered clear of the noon hour and stopped by at 1:15. They took my car immediately and I was in and out within 10 minutes.Fast and friendly service!

Trusted and Verified! I want to tell my story because it may save someone else the from being fooled by a dealership, which thanks to Dennis I was not! In late November 2019 I was in Madison when I got a call from my mom telling me to check my oil, because she noticed a large pool of oil in her driveway where I had parked my car the day before while visiting her. Now I used to change my own oil on my previous car every 3,000 miles but I bought this Prius from a Dealer a few years before and it was not easy to jack up like my minivan to change the oil so I brought it to the dealer for that and tires rotated every 5,000 miles. I trusted them for that much! However on this occasion I had a gut feeling not to go there for this oil leak I researched possible causes and found a rare malfunction that fit my problem “ a lot of oil dumped in a short time with no warning light” this rarely fixed problem was the oil pressure sensor, about $150.00 the most common fix was done at dealerships was a timing belt gasket gone bad about $2000.00 or more! Now I called Dennis at Cedarburg auto and told him my symptoms and when I could bring it in, he said anytime today and he’ll have an answer for me before days end! He called around 4:00 and said it was the oil pressure sensor be a $140.00 I said thank You Dennis that’s the best news I’ve heard all day! Now here’s where this gets scary I was due for my 5000 mile oil change at the Dealer about a thousand miles later and since I went to Indianapolis the day after Dennis fixed my car, my auto reminder on the dash started flashing soon after I got home from Indy so I took it in for it’s oil change, when the service took much longer than usual I wondered when the service tech came to get me with a worried look in his eye and said “Dave I have a little bad news for you! You have a bad timing belt gasket leak, and I want to show you where that leak is and what has to be replaced to fix it! Before he showed me he explained that it was very labor intensive as they would have to take half the engine apart to put the new gasket in and estimated the repairs at $2400.00 plus tax! I informed the tech that the oil he was observing was residual from a bad oil pressure sensor that my local mechanic has already replaced, and that I have just returned from a round trip to Indianapolis and can confirm that it has not leaked a drop since! And he stuttered a lot and said well your really lucky today then and just keep an eye on it! I said I already have bud have a good day! Now it been another thousand miles and not a drop on the drive way! So just trust and verify you can be sure Dennis will give you a straight diagnosis and repair when you go there!

Dennis and his crew are really great. I stopped for an oil change. He said that the oil wasnt very dirty but it was a quart low. Just to keep things running properly I had him do one. I tell these guys are honest. Which says a lot for businesses these days. Fair prices too. Dennis patched a hole in my tire for only 20 bucks other places wanted double or needed me to leave it overnight. Dennis fixed it in 5 minutes.

Dennis and Team CARS do a fantastic, prompt and fair priced job. Visiting the office is an enjoyable experience and I am not kidding. The work done there has not had to be re-done.Based on having dealt with dozens of dealerships and repair shops for 30 years, CARS is the best.

Cedarburg Auto is Great. We just moved back in the area this year and this place came well recommended. They have been honest, upfront, and whoever I speak to there is always upbeat and I feel like it is a pleasure for them to help me. This is not always the case in small busy shops.Update: 9/6/16. Continuing to use Dennis - always feel like they do a great job and are fairly priced.

There are several great auto repair shops in Cedarburg. Ive been doing lots of business at Cedarburg Auto Repair for over 20 years and never felt the need to try any place else. I havent found an auto repair shop I trust like this since I moved from my small hometown 30+ years ago.

I managed to break off the tire stem on my tire when filling the tire with air at the gas station next door. Then I couldnt get the car jack unlatched from my car. So I noticed their sign down the street and walked over to their shop. They quickly sent someone out with me. They got my car jack loose which was rusted up. Then quickly ran over and brought a bigger car jack over so they could jack it up more quickly. Took the tire, replaced the stem and quickly had me back on the road. They were curteous, professional and efficient. Good people to work with.
