I LOVE the first avenue wine house! They always have new and cute things and it feels amazing to be able to shop and support local! The woman who runs it is incredibly personable and friendly and i kick myself every time i miss one of their events.This is your place to shop if you want wine recommendations, gift baskets, or any sort of gift idea for someone that isnt a generic big box brand item.I cannot recommend enough!

A great place to have in Cedar Rapids with an impressive selection of wine. Traci was extremely helpful in helping me (not a big wine drinker) pick out a wine for my wife (one who enjoys a good glass of wine) based on tastes and price. She also answered some questions I had about storing wines. Overall, well worth the extra stop for anyone looking to buy a bottle of wine or some related gifts or items.

This place is a local treasure. Traci and Ron are very friendly and can direct you to some quality wines for any budget. Dont stop on the first floor though, head upstairs for all sorts of decor and gifts.Stop in on a Saturday afternoon and youre likely to get a sample pour. Oh, and give Lizzi (their awesome Boxer) a pet on head from me.
