The forklift driver in the gardening area was very helpful. Help me load some bags.

On 7/13/21 I ordered nine custom cut blinds, reach into my pocket to pay, I didnt have my walletI asked the cashier please call the manager over because I wanted to run out to the car to transfer money from one account to another account so in the end I could use my phone to pay. I was informed that they cannot hold my product as I have not paid for them...The front end manager that night made it perfectly clear that if I walk away from the cash register he will definitely be defecting out the blinds that I just had cut

Great place to get loads of different items at one time. I always enjoy looking at their selections and finding stuff that I wouldnt expect a hardware place to have.

Was able to get all the items needed and then some. Employee in the garden area was very helpful...wish I would have gotten here name. Cashier was friendly and very quick in getting my items processed.

I live in Fairfax. Came in looking for a digging shovel. Walked around for 20 minutes looking for one and nobody offered to help. I saw employees texting on their phone. As a former sales associate, the flow of the merchandise made absolutely no sense. Not sure if I was not offered any help because I’m a female but I walked out unimpressed. Went to Theisens, was greeted by employees and found what I needed within 3 minutes of being in the store.

Tyler in flooring was very helpful in helping us locate vinyl plank that they were out of. He looked up 3 other locations and provided phone numbers and box count so all I had to do was call them. Thank you Tyler!

I actually enjoyed going to the lumberyard today, there was a new guy working that actually knew where everything was at, and the 4 trips i made there during the day on saturday he was always busy cleaning and straightening up, but always came over and made time to make sure i could find everything i needed and even helped me load some very heavy lumber. thumbs up this time for hiring a more mature worker who wasnt on his phone or seemed to be inconvenienced by me being there

The normal, not too crowded, easy to find what I wanted and done.

Asked for help loading 10 bags of bark. No one showed, saw an employee reentering garden dept and asked for his help told us to ask garden center, which we had already. Asked for help again. After several minutes, we loaded it ourselves resulting in bags torn and much stress. In our 70s with several medical conditions. Felt every employee, 3, we encountered showed indifference and lack of respect.

Very helpful staff, they were able to quickly show me the locations of the items I needed... even with my horrible descriptions on what I was looking for.😅

Bought 2-25 lb bags of grass seed, 2 rain gauges, 2 raccoon traps, 3 rolls of 9 x 12 3 mil visqueen, 3 packages of 4-60 watt led bulbs and 1 LED exterior light. Im good for today!

6 guys standing around visiting could not help me in the lumber yard!! I couldnt find what I needed.. WOULD NOT HELP!!! DISGUSTING!!! Love Menards but not this one!! 😡

Only thing bad is they advertise 11 percent off everything but it really isnt cuz you have to mail in rebate forms, wait forever to get them and then you have to use it towards products in their site. So it really isnt a sale so to speak. Very misleading.

Mask mandate even tho the science and doctors CDC have proven them not to be necessary and only a recommendation. In addition to that medical and religious exemption was not respected had employees stock. we were in the store shopping for an hour but right before check out is when they told us something...zero stars honestly! If your a Christian, Catholic, Jew ect BOYCOTT THE STORE . They do not deserve our business until policy is changed especially in Iowa where it is an open state.

They have some very lazy workers in the gardening area. Stock showed 300 bags of dirt. Was buying 10 bags and only 3 on shelf. Asked 2 employees for assistance. Both said we’d need a forklift but neither had a radio to ask. They then ignored me and one started texting on his phone. Loaded the 3 bags and was told they were out. Had to return the 7 bags at customer service. Voiced my complaints about the employees and she wasn’t surprised. She also confirmed that they did show 300 bags in inventory.

Ever since I was little, Ive been coming here with my parents and its always been a good experience. No more, no less.

Always find what you want 95% of the time with great great selection, great prices, and lots of great staff (even during social crisis) with great smiles and friendly, want-to-help characters. I honestly enjoy shopping here.

Typically when I come to the store in person, employees are always very friendly. However, the same cannot be said for those who answer the phones. It seems that almost every time I call, I end up speaking to someone who would rather be doing anything but helping a customer remotely. This last phone call was the final straw. After being transferred by the front desk associate who was not friendly and very abrupt, she transferred me before I could even finish speaking, I was sent to someone in hardware. Again, he was not polite and made me feel like I shouldnt call in with questions. I wasnt going to deal with it anymore so I told him to just forget about it and hung up. Please, teach your employees better customer service skills for over the phone..

Tried to buy a 2ft x 2ft piece of Baltic birch they had for sale for $4, instead of selling it for the stated price they tried to sell it for 14 dollars before they went down to 12 dollars after 10 minutes of looking for a sku and getting a manager. Not paying 3x the price, and not going back ever again. Do better.

Store inventory vs Yard inventory is rarely correct at either store. Better off with Home Depot or Lowes

Place is a joke. I ordered lumber to be delievered from this store becuase they had it in stock. I PAID 180 FOR DELIVERY.. After the a few days the order says picked and ready to ship. I get a call 6 days later the day before it ships saying they only have half the wood and I could take it or wait till who the hell knows. The lady tells me they grab the wood right before they deliever so if they dont have it you dont get it. How is that even a freaking thing!? She then tells me I can pay for deliever on the rest or pick it up.. I will shop elsewhere for now on and let everyone I talk to know how dumb this company is.

Hard to locate items your locking for

Usually have a pretty easy time shopping and picking up orders. Had a little wait but otherwise had help loading and everyone was polite! I use menards for almost all my work type shopping!

I was able to get what I was looking for, there wasnt a lot of people in the store so I felt safe walking around. I bought poles for a fence I put them on the bottom of my cart. My suggestion would be to tape the ends of the poles, I ended up slicing my leg open at the register I asked for help from an employee at the door she didnt seem to concerned but did get me a paper towel.

We found out the hard way that Menards keeps inaccurate inventories. So, we called ahead to this site to see if they really had a particular item before driving an hour. Jim put us on hold to look. Came back and told us there were 3 on the floor. Website had said that for the past 3 days, so it seemed true. Drove an hour, nothing. Employee in the aisle refused to even look. Jim was too lazy to do his job, too dishonest to admit it, and his fellow employees are all the same. You save at Menards because they peddle low quality junk. Their hiring practices are identical to their purchasing. Never trust anyone or anything in this store.

Quick trip, everyone still following Covid-19 guidelines. Store was clean as always and plenty of help available.

Staff is very nice. However it is difficult with prices as they say one thing but they ring up different and there is no movement on that. Yesterday I rented a floor sander. Online it said there was an orbital one available priced as $23 for 4 hours. However it wasnt available upon arriving (10 minutes later) and they only had the belt sander available which was $34 for 4 hours. There was no compensation for not having the orbital or the price variance.

This Menards is a good Menards. Yay midwest.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I was able to have my items shipped to the store to avoid a $42 shipping fee because the employee did something on their end to fix what was showing as available in store. And I was then able to return the extra materials I purchased previously online that were being discontinued. Great service 👍

Was rudely treated by employee Chuck. I refuse to wear a face diaper mask now that the Gov. of Iowa has lifted the mask mandate.I cant count how much money Ive spent at menards over the years but I will now take my business to Lowes or Home Depot. Buh-bye.

Great store, good prices, and return policy

Had what I needed with some searching. Took me 3 times to get employees attention to ask a question. First time they said should be somewhere here. Second time they pointed me in the right direction. Two different products. So all in all fair place. Just fair.

Hard to find things after they rearranged; but still a good place to get what I need.

Its the Walmart of home improvement stores what else is there too say! & I dont shop at either place for many reasons!

I was trying to find my daughter a pool. I went to several other stores with no luck. I walked into Menards with my 4 year old daughter not think about the new rule of no children 16 or under. I told them sorry I was not thinking about it and that I was trying to find a pool for my daughter. One of the ladys started to look them up and seen they had some in stock. She offered to go grab one for me while my daughter and I waited up front by the door. She came back with the one I wanted and even rang us up quick. Thank you so much for going out of you way to help us.

I wandered around the garden center. That is always a pleasure. Everyone had masks on and I felt safe.There was fewer plants available but that may just be because it is June15 and late in the season to buy.

Lets not forget about their 11% off mail-in rebate that comes around quite frequently. Menards fits the shoe for all of our business needs. An A+ store with outstanding employees.

Cannot adequately Convey how much I love this brand, and specifically this location. I feel like I am in this building at least 3 times a week - not only can I find anything I could possibly need for just about any project, but I like to wander out of my comfort zone and discover tools and/or hardware that I didnt yet know existed.keep an eye out on the end caps for clearance EVERYTHING! thats where you find the exact thing you didnt know you needed in your life until now, lol.

The manager in power tools helped me find the right size chain for my chainsaw and he even put it on for me.. He was great at doing his job!

Customers service is lazy and dont do their jobs. Workers ignore people and rude. Had a return and seem like they dont want to do their job. I would not recommend this place.

Where to even start. Complete incompetence from more than 4 employees. Complete waste of time and money. Was told over the phone they had 500 fence boards for wood fencing available. Get directed to wrong area of the store to get the ticket. Finally get the ticket pay for it drive clear around the building to find 8 panels left. This will be the very last time I shop here. I’ve ran into this type of ‘head up your butt’ mentality by Menards employees over the years and I’m convinced if you have two arms and legs you’re hired! No brains needed....will never ever spend another dollar here again.

I ordered some siding, waited 3 months to get it, several pieces were broken, reordered & when it came it was broken, ordered it again- waited another 2 months to get it! Got it home & it was someone elses shelf ugh! Been frustrating!🙄

All employees and customers are required to wear masks. Also very helpful. Whereas Home Depot in cedar rapids iowa has no employees wearing masks. One coughed right in front of me. Won t go in there again. They dont get it
