Ive been using this Firestone location for almost 13 years now. They do all the maintenance on my vehicle, and have always been professional and polite. They never try to force additional services down my throat, and provide me updates on upcoming maintenance as someone else indicated. They also work to keep costs affordable. Theyre always quick to answer phones and address any questions I have, and they almost always complete the services I need in record time. Ive never had an issue with the work they do, its always been great. Theyre also honest about what they can and cant do, and dont try to swindle me out of extra dollars. I will continue to use this Firestone location for all my auto needs. Keep up the great work!
Took my car there for an oil change, tire rotation and see if I had a small leak in the tire. They said they didnt find anything wrong with the tire. Leak continued in the same tire, in the same spot of the car. Took it elsewhere and they found a nail in it. So they didnt rotate tires or have the skill to find the leak. Was the oil change performed? We wont be back.
Took my car in to get the headlight changed. Ended up being a wiring issue that they werent specialized in. Still expected to pay something since they did get in and diagnose the problem but they ended up not charging me anything since they couldnt fix the issue. Things like that are very much appreciated and remembered and I will be bringing my vehicle there for any further issues. Thanks again!
I love this place. The staff have proved to be fair and honest. They also understand that some people have to work off of a budget. I highly recommend.
It was as good of an experience as having your car aligned can be. I arrived just prior to my appointment time, and they immediately took in my car and provided a quick and professional alignment on it. They didn’t try to upsell me on any other services. It was a good experience.
My experience there was actually nice. I had an appointment for 1 pm however a job I was supposed to have canceled at the last minute. I got to the location at 11:40am and was told that they could not start on it until 1pm. I left, had lunch, and returned at 1pm to find my vehicle completed. I was not expecting that. Way to meter my expectations then over-deliver.
I’m with my friend who just went here to get her car window fixed because it wouldn’t roll all the way up. They weren’t able to fix it which was disappointing but wasn’t the problem. They told us they had brought her car inside overnight while it was raining when it was obvious they hadn’t. Her entire seat, floor pads, and side door was soaking wet with water damage. Like I said, when we asked about this they lied and said they brought her car inside overnight and were extremely rude. Wouldn’t give her any type of discount at all. Will never be going here again, wouldn’t recommend.

With an appointment, for an alignment and tire rotation, took nearly 2 hours, in which the truck mildly pulling left, nothing serious.Initially tried charging me full price for a lifetime warranty. After completion, I watched the tech test drive it around the block. I get in the truck, steering wheel is clocked at 2. How it comes back after a test drive and fresh alignment not straight is baffling. Store says they cant fix it because they have other customers and I need to come back another day. So I am inconvenienced due to their lack of service.How about you service your customers properly the first time and if not, resolve the issues before pushing them out the door.I wasnt a priority because it was warranty work, plain and simple. Trash a** service from a trash a** location.

Forgot to put oil cap back on. They offered to clean the oil, no apologies. Engine blew a few days later. If you care for your car, stay away from here! Worthless employees and management.

Complete waste of time, and will never be returning.. wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want to jump through hoops, do more work then the actual technicians regarding trying to find a tire key, and then after the car had been there for 19 hours they inform me that they can’t do the work. Complete joke.
I used this shop twice now and I am very impressed with the service, the staff is super friendly and will keep you updated if something comes up. I will recommend my friends and family to this location because they were just that fantasic.. these guys work from sun up to sun down just to keep things moving efficiently #1 in my book.. thank you.

Our tire blew out near Cedar Rapids on our drive back to Nebraska and the folks here were SO helpful. Got our car in and a new tire on in thirty minutes! Excellent help from Bobby.
Got tire fixed on the weekend and the next day it was flat again. Now I have to take off work and deal with this all over. If you say you fix something then fix it right the first time. I also have to add the the front desk person was not very nice.
DO NOT GO HERE !!!! My brother took my car in for an oil change, I got this car about a month ago and of course everything was good. Before you buy a car (obviously) you look at the engine, interior, and etc ..they did the oil change and came back to my brother saying that “the hood will not close” and tried to say it was not their fault . and they said that i will have to take it to a body shop to get it fixed . They did not offer to pay for it . My mom just called and asked what had happened, because how is a hood’s car perfectly fine before an oil change and now it’s not closing. (Just doesn’t make any sense) they put yellow bungee cord to close the hood. It looks ugly and unprofessional. like i said don’t go here . Very bad customer service
Im giving them a 1 because I think they have fair customer service, but was incredibly unimpressed with our service overall. We called with the complaint that (what we were almost sure of was) our front drivers-side wheel bearing was making grinding and crunching noises. Got a call from the mechanic stating that the wheel bearing was not great, but could last awhile yet, maybe 3 months. We talked about the signs to look for and to bring it in immediately when that happens. The verdict was to replace the brakes and rotors. Sure! Why argue with a mechanic? Paid nearly $1300 only to drive it off the lot and experience the exact same problem we brought it to them for in the first place. We drove it 3 blocks and parked it because we simply could NOT have safely driven 25 miles home. The drivers-side smelled like burnt, hot metal when we parked. I was told the problem was mostly fixed and that there still may be a noise, but nothing like before. Fact is, they didnt fix what we asked of them and fixed something completely different. Secondly, God forbid something would have happened on our commute home. Very unipressed and feel taken advantage of. We called a local business and were given half the price of the quote to fix the wheel bearing problem we initially had.
The older gentlemen at the front desk was very nice and professional. He was very knowledgable in the area of my curiosity about my car and he patiently explained the answers to my questions.

The manager there is really nice and the wait time is minimal. They work you in really fast. I had an issue with a previous place doing work on my headlight and they did a great job working with me to get it fixed!

Great serviceI have been here multiple times and they always do a good job with my tire rotation, balance, alignment and oil change. They have caught a few things that could be problems that I had to get fixed at my mechanic. Pretty fast service for what I’m having done. Would go here again any time

First off, let me say that I was skeptical about going to this store after seeing the reviews (even though they are pretty dated - under new management 4 months ago). But my experience today with them was great.Called ahead to get a quote for tire install/alignment. Price was comparable to all others in town, so I made the appt. When I arrived, the mgr was friendly and gave me a timeline of how long the work would take. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and gave me some information about my tires that I was unaware of. He also reviewed the original alignment information with me before doing the work, so I could see how my car was sitting prior.They came in at the price that was quoted, and under the estimated install time. I was very satisfied with the work. Definitely a return customer.
Overall a good place for some auto jobs, though they are rather slow, it seems, for most things. Weve had tires, brakes, etc., done here. Prices are standard.
I took my car here for an oil change and everyone was so helpful and friendly! They looked at my car and told me exactly what I needed to do in order from most important to what can wait a bit, I will be back asap to get my list of things I need to fix checked off.
Andrew and Colton always makes my family feel like their business is actually appreciated. If there is something needing to one of our cars, this is the first place we go to and hope its something that they do in their shop. Fabulous customer service, and they truly know how to build rapport here!

They could not find anything wrong with my car but charged me for an inspection. I took it to another place and they found the brake pads where worn....if I would have let it go I would have had to get rotors as well
All bad was charged 900$ for my front and back brakes on a Saturday was there three hours Tuesday my car over heated they did something to my car now I have to buy a new car sad god don’t like ugly karma is everything. Mark told me my car was done when the man told me my car was good for the next 5 yrs I was told Mark and a employee did this to my car because I call and ask a neither place for quotes and I was black now I have to be careful where I take my car to in lowa I have kids what if me and my kids died from this
The worst place i’ve ever taken my car to 😂😭 in one week i had to take it in 4 different times. my air conditioner needed to be fixed, it was blowing hot air so i took it in on monday and they didn’t get it started, i needed my car to go to work monday night so i brought it back in tuesday morning... still didn’t get it done. took it in again wednesday and had to take it in again today on monday. i just got a call and they still don’t have it done. i’m never coming here again. they’re still charging me for doing NOTHING i am livid
Not the best feeling from these guys. my oil change was more than i was expecting ($50). also they quoted $1600 for tire/struts/etc. for a $2k value car.they were pushy on selling to me rather than working with me (especially with paying it with a Firestone credit card).by working with me, i mean saying what car actually needs rather then selling me everything to make it perfect shape. especially on a used car only worth 2-3k.i took my issues with the tire rods/struts to Professional Muffler Inc instead. they are more reasonable for this type of work (especially labor)

They didn’t honor their price match for the oil change . When I showed the manager/Owner the coupon all of a sudden my car needs 7 qts so I’d have to pay for extra oil .. even tho every oil change at any shop it clearly says up to 5 qts and that’s what my coupon said . Then he said he would have to charge me an extra 10 dollars for the filter disposal. So the price was the same as their store . I’ll never go back. THE WAY HE TREATED ME WAS UNBELIEVABLE. idk if he thought bc I was a female I was going to say Ok 🤷♀️🤦♀️umm No illl Take my business else where .
Had a 8 a.m. appointment to have an oil change and brakes replaced while I waited,at 2 I asked how things are going with my car only have to have them say they had just got it up on the Hoist and I have not checked it out yet. At 3 they quoted me a price after waiting 10hrs my car was done at 5:30.Started home and still brake pedal go to the floor.

On January 29th with temperatures in the -30 s we pulled into Firestone and asked if there was somebody that could please put air in our tire because it was almost flat. We were turned away by Dave saying that he had already done 20 plus tire air fills and he refused to help us out. They will not ever receive our business ever again. Dave was very rude and even thanked me on the phone after I told him that I was going to write a bad review about him call
Like any auto repair shop, they will over charge you for unnecessary repairs if they think they can get away w it. They are used to dealing with uninformed college students.

1 hr & 16 mins the person took for the oil change & tire rotation. Isnt it the funniest, but thats not it. I had scheduled my appointment online but then the store called me & they would wanted to rescheduled (called me at 7:05 am which was still fine. But they had No appointment for a week still understandable, but tip off point was I am at the appointment by leaving early & then 40 mins into my appointment the person is letting me know youre too late & we wouldnt be able to get your wheels aligned(obviously I have life alignment they can push me off) which bothered me a lot & later on on my bill they say they cant align my car tires because their equipment is stale. Are you serious. So I am upset with the person who rescheduled my appointment that he had bo idea about what cars could be serviced & the person who was lying that they wouldnt be able do wheel alignment(as you have lifetime come later, because where will I go, right!) & also the person who changed the oil/ tire rotation, 1 hr & 16 mins. Insane!!! Just avoid!!! Truly avoid

I am extremely disappointed with the management and service at the 10th street location in Cedar Rapids Iowa. My girlfriend walked in just to get an oil change and while they were doing that they had her walk back and showed her that her front right ball joint and lower control arm were bad. They showed her that the wheel was wobbling. She said that she didnt have the money to get it fixed and they offered her a line of credit. When they came back and she was approved, they told her that it would be a total of $460.00. They said that she could have it fixed or that they would have it towed home at her expense. First of all, it is her right to decline towing services. When she called me and told me what was going on I called the store and talked to John. He told me over the phone that it wasnt drivable. I then asked if, How is it that she had already driven 100 miles today and everything was fine but after she brought it in, it all of a sudden isnt drivable. As well I questioned him on the price of the parts and labor. I called another mechanic (which was a local dealer, usually more expensive than anywhere else) and they quoted me the exact same services for $310.00. That is $130.00 cheaper then what Firestone was going to charge. I told him on the phone that I was going to come down and look at it. When I arrived, they had put the control arm back on the car. I walked up to the counter and John (the man I spoke with on the phone) asked me, are you here about the Impala? I told him yes and then he asked me where I would like it towed to? I then asked him what are you talking about? He told me that I accused him over the phone of breaking the part and that he wasnt going to work on it. I was irate and then said what the f*** are you talking about (realizing I shouldnt have sworn at him)? He then told me that if I didnt get off of the property that he would call the police on me. I walked outside and proceeded to get on my phone to find a way to get the vehicle fixed. He then came outside while I was on the sidewalk (in 40 degree weather) and instigated an arguement with me. He then told me again to get off of HIS property. I then asked him what his name was. He told me his name was John. I asked him his last name and he said that it was none of my business and that he was the manager and that was all I needed to know. When I got the car to another mechanic, I was informed that in fact the control arm and ball joint were not bad, it was just the gromet on the ball joint. Obviously they saw an opportunity to take advantage of someone and when I intervened the only thing that he wanted was to get his car off of lot. I have gone to Firestone for all of my tire replacements and a few misc. issues that needed to be fixed. I will NEVER use another Firestone again and I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of the horrible service. Not only is customer service important in every business but for a manager to have an attitude with a customer because they felt they were being accused of something only makes them look guilty. John (Doe) IS SPECIFICALLY the reason I will never use Firestone again. There are plenty of people out there who need jobs, maybe it would be in your best interest to find one of those people to replace this person. He honestly has no place in the customer service industry.

I came in for another rotation and alignment check yesterday. They immediately sell me on a 22-point safety inspection for a special price of $15.99. Seriously? I hate the thought of paying someone so they can look for things to sell me. Later they called me about new rear brakes ( I knew there was an issue there) and new radiator hoses and anti-freeze flush. They said I needed new calipers, rotors and pads for $699 and along with the radiator work, it came to $1,080. They offered a 10% discount and even financing. I declined all of it - I can do the radiator hoses myself and I only go to Professional Muffler for brakes. They never even mentioned my tire rotation and alignment - the reason I came in for! Turns out they didnt even balance my tires when they rotated them - part of the tire package I bought when I got my tires here.So after getting the brakes inspected at Professional Muffler, I learned my left caliper was rusted and the rotors and pads were all fine. They replaced both calipers for $321 including tax. Firestones people work on commission and they are all about the up-sell. They are trained well to get every dollar they can out of you. Never let them do anything to your car without a second opinion. I feel fleeced every time I go there for warranty work. I kick myself for even buying tires there.
