I am new to the area and I’m so glad I found this gem of a place. Being a woman, who knows nothing about cars, I’ve been scammed by different mechanics paying more than needed for repairs.Alberts Auto was the first place who was super kind and explained the process every step of the way. They got my car in fast, gave me a call, and an estimate. After I reviewed the estimate and gave the OK my car was fixed in less than 2 days!They price very fairly and they are all super kind if you have any questions. They don’t make you feel bad about asking questions. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone I know!

They got me in fairly quick called me a hour after they got it and gave me great news! Not only was it not what every other person said it was it was going to cost $600 less than I was told by others as well. There was a couple other things wrong and he was honest in telling me about it and the need to fix now vs later and what it is may or may not do if I dont which is refreshing. Most would say if u dont do it now your car wont be fixed etc. My car was done that same day and runs great! Chad was awesome I recommend them to any and everyone actually my whole family uses them and for good reason. I would give them more stars if I could!

It is really hard to find a shop you can trust. These guys are thorough and honest. Also, do not make you feel pressured to fix things that are not in immediate need. I had Albert Auto listen to an engine ticking noise in my Grand Caravan. The best guess was a failed rocker arm on the front bank. I didnt have them complete the repair because I couldnt afford it at the moment. But when I opened up the valve cover the next day, sure enough there was a worn rocker roller on Cylinder 2. Much thanks to the technician and his spot on diagnosis. I will be a customer in the future and would recommend Albert Auto.

Chad is the man! In half an hour he diagnosed and was fixing an on going issue with my 2014 Ram 1500. I have had the issue intermittently for almost a year. Had taken it to Deery Brothers in Iowa City and Central Automotive in Coralville. Neither place could fix the issue. But charged me hundreds of dollars each. Saying they found and fixed it. I liked to take care of my own vehicles but Alberts Auto is there to take care of the things that I don’t have tools or time to take care of. They are one of the most honest shops that provide great mechanical service at quality prices. If I can’t figure something out they are, without a doubt, my first call and usually work me in that week.

A friend recommended Albert Auto because they were very happy with work that they had had done. I can’t say enough good about Albert Auto…. I was having trouble with my ignition switch and the front fan of my AC. I dropped off my vehicle and within a short time Chad called me with a diag?nosis. He explained what needed to be replaced and repaired. He also gave me an estimate which I thought was very reasonable and I gave him the “go ahead” to do the work. The turn around time was great…. 1 day! I’m out on the road agin and very happy with their work!I will definitely recommend Albert Auto to my friends and family.Thanks guys …. You are GREAT!

Chad has a great team of people… everyone goes above & beyond for us. I typically wait in the lobby while they change oil, rotate tires etc. I am always in and out in 20-30 min- no excessive waiting at all. They are very honest and won’t perform a service unless discussed with me first and more importantly if it’s not needed. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I had received an astronomical quote at a dealership for an axle replacement on my 2011 Pilot, and I called Albert Auto for a second opinion. They gave a realistic and reasonable estimate and sound advice. Much appreciated! Great group of people to work with, honest and ethical.

My brakes died after I took too long to get my pads replaced and they were grinding for a while (my own fault) and I had to get a full service done on my rear brakes and had some other issues that Chad to work out to get my brakes to work. It’s hard to find a mechanic that you don’t feel like is trying to just get more money out of you and Chad was very honest, reassuring and kept me updated while my car was being worked on. He also fixed any hard shifting my transmission had so that’s a double win for me. The only mechanic I will be using from now on. Thanks everyone!

The folks at Albert Auto are very understandable and easy to work with which seems hard to come by at big name retail shops. I had called for a timing belt and water pump replacement, they ordered the part, got me in 7 days later and the next morning (after dropping it off the night before) it was finished and my car runs the best it’s been since getting it off the lot. Definitely coming back in the future!

My family has trusted them with our cars for over a decade. They’re always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, their service is great and reliable ... and they have so much integrity that they often won’t charge you for things that they don’t have to. On my last visit, I told them I thought I might need new tires, and instead of agreeing with me and making a huge sale, they said my tires were still in great condition and explained to my why. We’ll never take our cars anywhere else.

I’ve taken my care to Albert auto for my oil change and other maintenance issues and they have always been great to work with and I trust what they say. They also go above and beyond to help out their customers. They squeezed me in twice in two days to patch two different tires for two different issues that happened to occur within 24 hrs. I was going out of town and they helped me out when I was in a bind!

Good quality work and quick too. They run everything they are doing by you first, and they don’t replace stuff that doesn’t need to be replaced yet. They are honest with problems they see and if it needs to be fixed now or if it can wait.

I had my car overheated, I called to let them know the tow truck was coming their way. They said they were very busy and it could take up to a week! Then, the next day they called me to say my water pump, thermostat and a bunch of other stuff needed changing. They had it ready the next day. I appreciate that they took the time to look at my car even though they were busy and had it ready in no time. My car engine is now silent and working great! Would definitely recommend!

I was disappointed with my most recent visit to Alberts Auto for the following reasons:1. They were not able to perform service on my Kia Soul (due to recommending the service be done at the dealership, because of the check engine light code. I wasnt thrilled with this, but respected the input.)2. I was charged a partial diagnostic fee of $51 for them taking a look at the problem.The main issue I had was with the ladder. Its not that I dont understand why a diagnostic fee would be charged, but it was the manner it was disclosed to me that I found to be lacking professionalism and good service.I was not told up front that there would be any fee to start. Once I arrived to pick up the car to have it taken elsewhere... I was not given the courtesy of an explanation or any eye contact with it. When I attempted to ask, I was told in a very stand off manner, it has to go to the dealership.I was handed an invoice, told an amount to pay, paid it, and walked out.The whole experience was cold, unprofessional and not pleasant.This review is not meant to discourage anyone from ever going to Alberts Auto, BUT, it seems to me that their customer service quality is lacking and in need of improvement.

I didnt know of any reputable auto shops but then I was given the name Albert Auto Service, which was highly recommended. We had her car towed there. They were everything we wanted, very accommodating thorough and personable. The charges at completion of the job were very reasonable. End result was a very satisfying result!!!

I called on Friday afternoon at 4:45 and asked about having my brakes replaced as soon as possible. They told me they could get them done right away the following Monday morning. By the following Monday by noon, they called & told me the brakes were replaced and it was ready whenever I was free to stop by. Thus far, they’re working perfectly and seem to be better than when I bought the car. I went with Albert because they do all the work and maintenance on my work vehicle and I am always satisfied with their work so I trust them to take care of my personal vehicle as well. They always take great care of what I need.

I Had a squeeky front wheel. I thought it may be a bad wheel bearing or break pads. Turned out it was a walnut wedged in the works. I was in and out quickly at no charge! They let me know what the wear on my pads were so I could anticipate replacement. On my way out to my car the technician that work I my car greeted me and laughed about the walnut situation. Very pleasant and polite. It feels like everyone has a great attitude and enjoys their work. Great Job!

Had my car towed there when they were closed and worried about leaving it there without their okay. They didnt mind at all. Fixed my car in 2 days. I thought it would take a week. Thought the repairs were going to cost inthe 2000 $ range but it cost a fourth of that. Really nice staff!!!! They have a customer for life now!!! Thank u alberts!!!

After two years of taking my car to a dealership to have a coolant leak (that no one seemed to be able to find) Albert Auto was able to find the leak and do the repair in a very timely manner.

Well I went for a minor problem and thry found a bigger issue that had to be done. They were very nice and got my car fixed. Will still have to go back for what I originally took it there for but very grateful for them fixing the major issue that I was unaware of

Talked to a wonderful gentleman named Chad I believed. He explained everything that need to be down with my car. It was nice having someone actually talk to me, and not talk down to me because I am a women!! I will be back for more things to be fixed or looked at. Dropped my van off to see what the rattling coming from the front end was. I decided not to fix it for various reasons. There was no high pressure to fix the problem, in fact when I told the gentleman why I didnt want to fix it, he agreed that I was making the right decision. I, as a woman, am always Leary of taking my vehicle anywhere to be fixed, because we arent always treated like we know much, but the people at Alberts were top notch and VERY respectful. I would definitely recommend them!

Recently, had some issues with my steering while driving through Cedar Rapids on business. The staff at Albert Auto Service were extremely friendly fast. They checked over my entire steering system to ensure I could make it safely back to St. Louis. What a great shop. If I lived locally I would definitely take all my vehicles to them.
