Called first to double check they had what I needed. Im a renter and trying to match what my landlady asked me to sync up on (specific chlorine tabs) due to her aboveground pool having a certain type of material. Instead of being helpful, the guy answered the phone mid conversation with someone and then proceeded to be dismissive and speak down to me simply because I was trying to match brand and not chemical. Excuse me for being new to maintaining a pool. Theres really no excuse for such behavior, so thats a lost potential customer. In the future, try being helpful and informative and not dismissive and condescending. Have a good one.

Worst business I’ve ever dealt with. Stood me up twice only arriving after three calls begging them to honor their two missed appointments. I told them up front my pump was inoperable for weeks and I couldn’t get another appointment for weeks anywhere else. The guy that finally showed up left five minutes after I showed him where the equipment was, and I haven’t heard from them since. They made my problems so much worse. The guy that showed up was extremely unfriendly and never said a single word to me in the short time he was here.Avoid this place. Shady people that will flat out lie to your face repeatedly.

I just want to share with everyone how impressed we are with Poolwerx! Our Polaris machine broke so we called around to other pool supply stores. Some didnt even bother to answer the phone. So I started to google local pool stores and came across Poolwerx. The manager, Nick, answered my call and he was extremely helpful. We were looking for a particular new Polaris machine to replace the one that broke. They did not have it in the store but he assured me he would get it for me as soon as possible, which they did. Not only did they get it for us that same day, and in a timely manner, but also one of the owners, Sean, personally delivered it to us! Now that is service! They have a customer for life! Thank you Sean, Troy and Nick, we really appreciate you very much.

I tried for a year on my own to make my pump and skimmer work properly to just end up being frustrated with subpar clear water. Troy came over installed a new skimmer and jets to move our water in about 3 hours. He taught me how to actually use my pump correctly. I have never had cleaner water!! This is my pool store from now on.

The consistently BEST customer experience. Called Nick to see if they had a backwash tube in stock because mine had a tear. He asked where the tear was and since it was at the connection he suggested I cut the torn part off and re-attach the tube. Im obviously not schooled in pool maintenance and repair and he could have easily sold me a new tube. But instead he guided me towards the best solution. That is true customer support! We went there to have our water sample checked. The young kid was pretty helpful, we explained we had a pool service, he informed us what charge and we told him thanks. My inquired about a small tub of chlorine tablets to which his coworker, an older heavyset gentleman said $49.99, to which I said I could cheaper. He the rudely said thanks for supporting small local business. I am a full supporter of small business, however I’m not going back to this place.

11am on a Monday morning and no one answers the phone nor did any voicemail come up. Are they even in business?

These guys are amazing. After catching my weekly pool cleaner not showing up, then lying about it, I looked online for a local, small business that I thought could get me up to speed on doing the pool work myself. I found Blue Bottom Pool Supply based on some great online reviews. These guys are phenomenal. I met with Nick, who told me to bring a water sample in and theyd test for free. After doing that, he told me what I needed to do and when...he even writes out all the instructions for you so you know what to do when you get home! For a novice pool owner, this was very important! Ive been going to see Nick weekly for the last 2 months, always with a water sample. He greets me by name and is always up beat and super friendly and helpful. Im so glad our area has an awesome mom & pop pool supply company. And to top it all off, my pool has NEVER looked better! Thanks so much guys!

I would not recommend this company for a cleaning service or any other type of installation. Poor cleaning service after a few good ones. I’ve cameras so I know exactly what went on at my house although they refute it. I called a professional electrician and an inspector to overlook an installation of a water heater for my pool. Their attitude was very unprofessional and very unpleasant.

I own a house with a large, above-ground pool. When I bought the house years ago and had questions about above-ground pools, I found it difficult to find someone who knew how to service and maintain them. Luckily, I found Bobby Ham. Bobby started helping me with my pool years before he opened up Blue Bottom Pools. He helped me save time and money then, and it has been no different since he and Troy opened their stores.Nick, Dave, and everyone else at Blue Bottom Pools are knowledgeable and helpful. They are straight forward and easy to work with. Their approach works, and I found that they saved me time and money in the long run every time! My pools appearance year after year speaks for itself. I would recommend them to anyone.

Stopped in today to get some stuff to fix my pond. Received a warm welcome and in depth instructions from Thomas on how to get my pool back to sparkling clean. He was incredibly helpful especially to the girl with minimal pool maintenance knowledge. I greatly appreciate the help and assistance.

For the past 12 years Ive been a pool owner. So I have been in and out of pool supplies stores. Poolwerk at Cedar Park is absolutely the best. Great customer service. They solve all your pool problems in your first visit. But what I absolutly love is that they take the time to guide you and explain how, when and where you put in the chemicals needed. They even send you home with a hand written recipe. Give them a try and I know you will never need to go anywhere else. Five Stars for them even if the deserve more. Ask for Nik Barraza

Being new to pool ownership, Bobby set us up on a great regimen and we have had zero problems. Everyone in the store is very knowledgeable, nice and forgiving of our lack of knowledge. We are usually there weekly for water testing and the guys make it easy to drop our water and pick it up later with detailed instructions of what needs to happen to keep our pool and spa happy. Definitely will continue to use them and recommend them to anyone who might benefit their services. Keep up the good work, fellas!

Chris and Alex from Poolwerx, formerly Blue Bottom Pool Supply, helped me by installing a new controller, GFCI switch, and LED pool light. These guys are RAIL certified (Residential Appliance Installer License) which is what you want if they end up dealing with anything electrical on your pool or spa. My existing pool light was pinched and difficult to remove but the guys didn’t give up on it. They continued on with the job and communicated every step of the way until the job was complete. The price was fair and there weren’t any unexpected charges. I paid after the job was complete. If you need maintenance or service done on your pool, I highly recommend Chris and Alex at Poolwerx. They will treat you right.

I bring my pool water sample in for weekly checks. The guys up there are always helpful, and tell me what I need to keep everything balanced. I’ve noticed a huge drop in my weekly maintenance as a result. I would recommend other customers to give them a chance, and do the same thing.

I came by initially to buy a product to fix a bad algae problem. I had the name of a product I wanted from web sources. They had the product, but steered me to a different item that was actually a few cents cheaper. The representative told me that the professional were using this instead of the one I requested. I followed their advice and it worked perfectly. Since I have been stopping by to pick up other items. I have found their prices competitive, the service personal, and solutions rather than product sale the rule in this store. They are far superior to the larger pool supplier in Austin (L)

Just moved into town and needed a cleaner for my new pool. I went to blue bottom on my neighbors suggestion and they extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I got out of there with a great cleaner for a great price. Thanks blue bottom!

Recently I bought an above ground pool liner and had it installed. I paid an extra 100 dollars to have this special (Zap It) grass killer sprayed on the pool pad before the liner was installed. First time to go and use the pool I found about 10 places where grass had grown through the liner. I called and spoke with Bobby (one of the owners) who informed me that the liners are not guaranteed against grass growing through them. Further in the conversation I was told something like I cant just eat a $500.00 liner to give you another. The manufacturer will not send me another liner for free. I was then told how I could patch the liner....what a joke!!!! How is this guy in business? This is not only insulting but just bad business. The only customer service here was in giving me the liner and taking my money. I will never do business here in the future.

Got water tested for the pool for free. Also got a lot of advice for the pool. They seem very knowledgeable.

Ive been going to the wrong pool store. Ive spent months at one of the big chain stores (you know the one) - trying to resolve some issues with chlorination using a variable speed motor. Although the employees at the chain store were polite and helpful - I just got the impression that they didnt know what they were doing. The issue never got resolved. At the recommendation of a coworker, I dropped by Blue Bottom this afternoon to see if I could get some help. Troy, one of the owners, spent 30 minutes with me. He listened and gave me some great advice. Time will tell - but I think that he resolved my issue. I will continue getting help and products as Blue Bottom. I highly recommend this quality, locally owned business!

I called to get a replacement LED for our pool, they mistated the day it would be in so wasted two trips. Went in today and the two workers couldnt confirm it was the right bulb. Also ordered four replacement rubber wheels for the pool cleaner, the guy ordered three. I try to support local businesses, but my time is valuable. I will order via Amazon or try Leslies.

Not what it used to be. For years you could walk into the store any day of the week and be helped by one of the owners (Troy and Bobby), or both. They were always very good. These days the store is run by a bunch of clowns that only seem to be interested in pushing product. My last 4-5 visits have been a complete disaster, and the owners are nowhere to be found. I wont be returning.

I spoke with Sean then Troy. Both freely shared their knowledge with no expectation of return and helped me look past my preconceptions. I may be able to fix my issue without them, but if so it will be because of their help.

Knowledgeable staff with a good supply of traditional and non-traditional pool supplies. I went in the store to spend several hundred dollars in preparation for a pool drain and acid wash, but discovered that I had been misinformed at a local chain store. In fact, I resolved my issue for about $30.

A driver of the blue bottom pool and spa truck was extremely rude. When the lanes merge on 183, not only did he not want to take turns, he laid on the horn and gave me the evil eye. As an owner of a business, you would want to represent your company well when driving your company vehicle. I think that reflects on what type of character is running this business. Highly do not recommend giving business to a man who feels entitled and tries to belittle random people.

I really believe I only need to speak to Troy or Bobby the conversation I had today was like going on a roundabout for 30mins, what fun not going back to the 1431 location.

These people know about pools! They have great pool service and supplies.

They are always SUPER helpful at this shop, we have gotten so many great tips about pool maintenance and the right products to use. You can also bring a water sample for them to test if you get stumped with something hard to figure out.

Way cheaper than the big guys who have taken over Austin. Good advice that saved me money too!

Theses guys are great, Always take the time to explain and they know pool chemistry. Love doing business with a small locally owned company as opposed to a national chain with employees just there to collect a pay check.
